Food was great, service was fantastic. Our server Savannah was so nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend!
We had a fabulous time at Saba! Daniele was amazing he gave us amazing recommendations for wine. Make sure you ask for him when you’re here!!
Food was superb great recommendations by staff for dinner starter mains and desert about 45 euro pp pepper squid was great excellent quality beef for mains and mango cheesecake was perfect. Rice portion / bowl a bit small for a 26 euro mains otherwise very Stylish place trendy fun staff very friendly and welcoming will be back to try rest of menu
Conor was very attentive, we were a big group and he took care of everyone. We were happy with the fose and service.
Great food. Our waitress, Savanna, was very friendly, wine, good and cocktails..all good
Cool place with high standard of service and good food. Good menu selection. The brown rice was surprisingly delicious and the dried pork was also a hit. Sweet and sour chicken was a bit too sweet, but an enjoyable meal. Lots of good eateries around here but this place takes some beating.
First time eating in Saba -restaurant came highly recommended and they were 100% right. The food was incredible! We shared starters of Thai crackers, delicious chicken satay skewers and an outstanding dish of prawns, cashew, pomegranate with a fiery kick of chilli in what I can only describe as looking like an egg shell but tasted so yummy! Please see the only photo so you get an idea . I'm so annoyed that I didn't take a photo of the menu - it had literally been changed on the day we dined there! Our mains consisted of Mussoman Chicken, Prawns in a green curry sauce; a delicious noodle dish with pork & prawns called Saigon and a Pad Thai type noodle with sliced steak. Every dish was beautifully presented and each had their own distinct flavours. Plates were returned almost licked clean!! Staff were lovely, attentive but not overbearing; Decor is lovely. Can't wait to go back there
Great food and an amazing atmosphere! Connor provided outstanding service — he was incredibly friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about both the dishes and the wines. He truly made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous meal after work this evening. The spicy margarita was perfect, the staff so friendly and helpful and the food absolutely scrumptious. An outstanding Wednesday all & all! Our waitress Kherlen was wonderful
Saba (on Baggot Street) is an absolute experience! The staff are so kind, intuitive, and consummate professionals, tendering nothing short of stellar service. Every course is immaculately balanced. The spice profiles here “sing” and are layered with rare perfection. Connor, the bartender, is a “mixologist”without rival….he truly made some decadent beverages that not only developed complexity, but were presented also as a feast for the eyes. The staff are so lovely. The atmosphere is elegant and joyful. We especially loved the photos of people with genuine joyful expressions and moments! We came all the way from California to experience Ireland for our wedding, and Saba represented the grand finale of our adventure, before having to fly back home tomorrow….what a way for us to leave such a beautiful country. Thanks for making our night so memorable!
I went here before going to the Eras Tour and it was 10/10. They did a superb job. They had a limited menu for that day so that the food was served quick. I ordered some noodles and they were amazing, the flavour was phenomenal. The portions were very big. They had special Taylor Swift cocktails and they were playing her songs. They just did a fantastic job and just added to the fun of the day. I would love to come back and try some more food from the normal menu.
This is very amazing restaurant and authentic thai food. Really liked the ambience and food. This is the 2nd restaurant 1st one is in william street. A nice place for corporate events and team lunch. They also have a huge space at back in case if there are more people or corporate event.
I had the Pho Bó. A delicious beef and rice noodle soup. As the portion was huge, I had to take almost half home with me. Perfect combination of taste and spice, with extra bean shoots on the side with chilli sauce dip. Will definitely be back. Great service!
I think is a great place to relax and enjoy delicious food. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, perfect for a nice meal or evening out. The staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The food is full of flavor and well presented. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!
I don't give 5 stars often. That being said, I've only come here once. The staff was very caretaking and professional. The food was excellent: scallop's as a starter and beef salad for main dish. I really mean it. The cocktail was tasty and balanced (Cucumber & Elderflower). The glass of wine was also of very decent quality. If I ever come back to Dublin, I will come back here.
Very tasty Thai food. friendly staff. Had Phad Thai it was yummy . Highly recommended
Delicious food and great cocktails, we were fortunate enough to avail of the taste.ie voucher, and we're treated superbly. I would highly recommend Saba and look forward to returning.
Super friendly staff, that went the extra mile for us. Came to eat without making a reservation, but after juggling tables, we got a spot. The food is extremely good, the atmosphere was laidback and calm, and the restaurant was nicely decorated. They had an interesting menu, with an paleo-option (which was amazing). Would definitely come back several times.
Excellent in every aspect- ambience, food, service. Loved the decor, seating surrounded by all the photos of old times. Food was just amazing. We had the chicken wings as starter and Chiang Rai ( spicy chicken noodles) and Hake in Banana leaf as main course. The spice was just perfect for us! The cocktail menu looks very tempting. Very professional staff and service was prompt inspite of the rush hour. Definitely going back to try other dishes and the cocktails!
Had a great dinner experience, the waiting staff was lovely and very attentive. The food was great also! We ordered the hoisin duck rolls, the beef lettuce cups and shared a crispy pineapple duck and it all tasted amazing! The kitchen does close early (around 9) so make sure you get there early for dinner.
Loved their massaman chicken curry. Excellent recommendation from the waiter who was also very pleasant
From the moment you step in, you're transported to a world of vibrant flavors and aromas. The restaurant's elegant décor and warm ambiance set the stage for a memorable meal. The menu at Saba is a celebration of authentic Thai dishes, each prepared with precision and care. Whether you're a fan of rich curries, fragrant stir-fries, or fresh and zesty salads, Saba offers a diverse range of options to cater to all palates. The balance of sweet, sour, spicy, and savory flavors is a testament to the chefs' mastery of Thai cooking techniques. One of the standout features of Saba is its commitment to using high-quality ingredients, resulting in dishes that burst with authenticity. The use of traditional herbs and spices is evident in every bite, creating an immersive culinary journey. While the restaurant exudes a sophisticated vibe, it manages to remain welcoming and approachable, making it an ideal choice for both intimate dinners and group gatherings. The combination of excellent food, gracious service, and a captivating atmosphere makes Saba a top destination for those seeking an exceptional Thai dining experience in Dublin. I highly recommend the bang bang curry
Lovely Thai / Vietnam fusion restaurant serving very good quality dishes Dropped in for an early dinner with 3 colleagues. We were all a bit jetlagged so opted for a main course and a glass of wine each. Quite authentic flavours and generous serving size. We ordered two carafes of wine (to share between four of us). Wait staff were very attentive. Would like to go back and have a longer more relaxed dinner there once we're over our jetlag :) ll up it cost around 30 Euros each (food and wine)
Really enjoyed this place. We went to the spice girls experience and I was so enjoyable. We had a lovely starter to share and then I had a tofu curry that was top class. We were welcomed with a cocktail and brought to the concert by bus that was just excellent. The cocktails were also 7 euro when we were there great value for Dublin. Would definitely come back again. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely love this place, went before a concert for the early bird 2 course €24.95!!! amazing food, huge portions and brilliant service!!!
Dining experience at saba was great. The staffs here are friendly and service is excellent. Best Thai restaurant one can ever enjoy. Highly recommend 👌
The food was axcellent. Our waittres Savannah was very polite and we had a fast and great service.
Excellent choice! Stumbled upon this place looking for a dining option while staying at the Mespil Hotel. Great food! So many flavours. We shared a few dishes and loved them all. If I lived in Dublin, I would eat here regularly.
Delicious food with unique specialty dishes, I loved the crispy pineapple duck and the hoisin rolls!
Great asian cuisine.I really enjoyed all the starters they serve and also the main course.Very professional service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended
Lovely Restaurant, welcoming staff from the minute we stepped inside. Connor looked after us who was attentive and gave us super service. Will be back!!
I never realized they did takeout here. I popped in to pick up a yummy Bangkok noodle dish to take back to the office. The interior was beautiful and staff were friendly. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere. It wasn’t rushed and hectic like other places in the area. If I was going for lunch with a friend I would definitely pop in here. My noodle dish had a nice kick of chilli (as warned on the menu). It wasn’t too spicy. It was at the level were it was nice and comfortable to eat. The portion was large. Only downside was it was a little bit pricey for takeout.
Very tasty food and a good atmosphere. Busy over weekday lunch so book ahead to be sure of a table. The lunch express deal is good value for the area and the service is quick enough to fit it into your lunch hour. Worth noting that the portion size on the express dishes appear to be a bit smaller. It's still more than enough to satisfy the appetite.
The Seabass was expertly prepared and the cocktail were delicious. Highly recommend.
Food was delicious and fast, even with a large order. The interior was comfy and they were very accommodating for a large group (I ate with a group of 16 people). Also the mocktail drinks were fun and tasty
We went there for lunch, not during peak time, they served the food quickly and the dishes were good, although a bit spicy! Most staff were nice and friendly, just one girl behaved herself very weirdly, and served the dessert very rudely! We hope she can love her job much better!
I recently dined at Saba, a Thai and Vietnamese restaurant, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. The concept of blending Thai and Vietnamese cuisines intrigued me, prompting me to make a reservation in advance. The service I received was quick and efficient, which is always appreciated when dining out. Moving on to the cocktails, I found them to be on the sweeter side, so others might find these cocktails enjoyable. One highlight of the evening was the appetizer called smoked trout meing kam. Served on a betel leaf, it offered a delightful medley of flavors. The combination of smoked trout and the roasted coconut s made for an interesting and enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend giving this appetizer a try. Unfortunately, my main courses did not meet my expectations. I ordered the sea bass and Singapore noodles, but neither dish left a lasting impression. I found myself not particularly enjoying the dinner overall. Considering the mixed experience I had at Saba, I would hesitate to recommend it wholeheartedly. While the service was commendable and the appetizer was a standout, the lackluster main courses detracted from the overall dining experience. However, taste preferences are subjective, so others may have a different opinion.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice atmosphere about the place. Three stars may be a bit harsh but I found the spring rolls pretty standard, and the pho, not very pho like. It was kind of a cross between pho and a Taiwanese beef soup. Not bad but would’ve preferred chilies rather than a chilli sauce. Hard to criticise but also hard to praise the food.
If you want to pay extra for bad service, long waits, and mediocre food — without even being told about the 12.5% service charge — this place is perfect. Everyone else should avoid it.
Ordered Saba tonight for takeaway tonight will not be back again food quality not up to scratch. Asked for spice bag no fresh chillies I got it with no veg the chicken was chewy and very little chicken in spice bag and very very bland chips no seasoning. Curry we ordered was just sauce and overpowered by cardamom which I found in my curry and very little protein, potatoes & onion. Very bad experience avoid this establishment. You have a lost a customer after this experience tonight.
I don’t like writing bad reviews but I was very disappointed with my experience at Saba. Even if the atmosphere and the staff were nice, I really disliked the food. I have lived in Asia for a while and I can assure that these dishes have nothing to do from what I would expect from an Asian restaurant. The quality was bad and it felt like a frozen meal you could get at a supermarket. My noodles were tasteless and extremely greasy, and the appetizers looked pre-frozen and overall bland. I went with a group of friends and we had the three course menu. With a beer and the 12,5% tip they included I ended up spending more than 60€ for a very poor quality dinner. I have been to far better restaurants in Dublin for half the price. Not worthy in my opinion.
