Cornerstone was incredible! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and a friendly wave to our table, which made the whole place feel welcoming and homey. The staff was happy, attentive, and on top of everything. It was the kind of place you want to grab a cup of coffee and stay for a while. Breakfast was phenomenal. I had the avocado Benedict and the hollandaise was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and flavorful. The pancakes were super fluffy and the syrup was divine. Amazing service, amazing food, and a great atmosphere. We’ll absolutely be back!

Delicious dinner! They’ve started serving dinner on Saturday nights and may expand to Fridays in spring or summer. Truly fantastic food. The menu is inspired by barbecue. My pulled pork tostada salad was as delicious as it was beautiful. Chewy rice, scrumptious pork and tangy mango salsa, what a delight. The salmon with sides of grilled salad and mac and cheese was equally good. Live music and doting wait staff. We will be back!

The food here is great, the potatoes are crispy, which I love! And there are so many yummy options, I'll definitely be trying more of the menu. The cherry jam with the homemade biscuits 😋 was my favorite part. It's also a pretty building. I had the the Denver Omlette and my friend had the breakfast tacos. The tacos were a bit hard to dip, and we both thought the salsa could have been a little spicy. It's nice to have some kick, they provide hot sauce, but I just mean that I know lots of people love a spicy salsa option. Add avocado!

The Cornerstone Cafe in Dunsmuir is an amazing place to get breakfast/brunch! They have local bread with the breakfast plates and the options can be made vegan. I highly suggest giving this place a try and bringing a friend or two for a delicious meal! Support local businesses! :D

Great breakfast place! The homemade pastries were super delicious. We had the peach and strawberry cake, bacon, sweet potato polenta with a homemade biscuit. All was very fresh and cooked to order. A very nice treat for sure.

The staff here is the best! They have always been the best to me and family. My son loves to see them and Steph and Lexi are the best. The food is amazing. This is definitely a place where you trust the chef and the menu. There cute daily specials are always worth a try.

Cheerful, bright and airy breakfast and lunch spot with yummy baked goods and terrific daily lunch specials. On one of my recent visits, I had a remarkably delicious salad with blackened fresh salmon and avocado in a delectable balsamic-based dressing. The friendly staff treats locals and visitors with warmth and care. You can tell they enjoy what they do.

The menu isn’t overwhelming. There’s a fair assortment of breakfast items that there’s something for everyone. I had the Denver omelette and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Everything was cooked perfectly. Zero complaints about the food quality. All of the staff were welcoming and topped off our coffee multiple times as they passed to service other tables. Definitely come early. We arrived at 10am, there were a few patrons there, and by 10:45 the place was jumping with people waiting for tables.

Such a cute place with delicious food, and sweet servers. We love coming here! Blueberry pancakes are the best around. And try the huevos rancheros, you won't be disappointed!

Really amazing food and super friendly service. It is not typical bakery fare. I had a sweet potato polenta that was inspiring. My sweetie had the shrimp Louie salad; it wasn't just shrimp but also had scallops all over a bed of fresh veggies. I've liked Dunsmuir as a place to stop for many years. Making the haul northward to Washington, I stopped with my sweetie on Sunday late morning. We expected a more typical bakery with scones and maybe eggs and bacon. Cornerstone Bakery has the eggs and bacon and so much more. It was fairly busy, but we got our food fast and it looked like everyone else did too,

Recent change of ownership with folks from Bay Area. Rim-of-fire cuisine night with live music. New and interesting breakfast menu. Very informative and attentive servers. I will be returning because I want this place to succeed

A must go-to breakfast spot for anyone visiting the area! Me and my girlfriend looked for a breakfast spot near a cabin we were staying at for New Year’s and we’re glad this place was open! Lovely and cozy interior, very friendly and accommodating waitresses, and amazing food! I got the blueberry pancakes which were ginormous, and my girlfriend got the soft herb omelette. Both throughly enjoyed our meals, and our waitress happily brought us any additional items we orders like their freshly-made hot chocolate and orange juice. Would recommend to anyone who is going up to the area!

They have the best biscuits- so flakey that you can hear as you bite into it! The goat cheese omelet was also delicious. The lavender was not overwhelming. Friendly and attentive service. We liked it so much that we went back on the second day for the biscuits. We'll come back again when we visit Dunsmuir.

The Cornerstone was an unexpected pleasant surprise! If you are reading this, and you’re wondering where to eat-you’ve got to try this! You will not be disappointed. I had breakfast tacos, and my wife had rancheros. Both were wonderful. Whomever the chef is, they are paying attention to the quality of food. Service was super attentive. Try it! It’s worth the detour off I5.

Amazing humans who create phenomenal food! This epic chef switches up the menu just enough to keep this sleepy town awake! Easy parking, located right on the corner, and kind dogs are always allowed on the patio. The sweetest ladies in the world work here, making this every tall ceiling feel like thats not even the end of this amazing establishment! They're going to keep on soaring up past their lovely ceiling, and out spreading their amazing food and love!

Extremely Disappointing, Unsafe Food, Poor Service, Avoid. I’m not usually the type to write scathing reviews, but our experience was unacceptable and potentially dangerous. We visited the cornerstone after Church expecting a straightforward meal and left shocked by the lack of basic hygiene and care and negligence. Summary of issues: The water cups smelled unmistakably of fish. Yes, the drinking cups. That’s not a minor oversight; it’s a hygiene failure. Every item we ordered carried that same fishy odor. Nothing tasted fresh. The burger arrived very raw. MOLD SPORES ON THE CHEESE. (Check the photos) This is a serious food safety problem. The kitchen and service area were swarmed with flies, not a few, but enough that it was impossible to ignore. They offered us a fly fan, we never got it! Service was nonexistent. We were not checked on once. They expected you to hunt them down it felt like. When we asked for cold water to replace the fishy cups, management handed us bottled water instead of addressing the underlying smell or investigating, not even a sincere apology. Our needs were far from unrealistic expectations, in fact they were neglected. Stood for almost 10 minutes waiting to be seated or at least greeted before we were told to wait longer so they could clean the table, which then took more time. Zero sense of urgency in this establishment! Our food took an HOUR despite the dining room being far from full. Not to mention the people ahead of us got seated immediately, and directly served. Took 15+ mins before we could order also. This experience felt negligent rather than unfortunate. For paying customers, this was sincerely intolerable…and unacceptable by any means. Action requested: If you run this establishment, inspect your glassware immediately! As a team, go over kitchen cleaning protocols, and food handling immediately! Now…if you’re a frequent diner, I strongly recommend you avoid this place until management can demonstrate that basic sanitation and competent service are in place, punctually and consistently! We won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to think twice before eating here.

My family and I decided to eat here after church and we were really let down with the whole experience. The employees were really nice and friendly. We were excited as we waited to be seated. It took 30 minutes to get our coffee and water. When I lifted my glass to drink the water it smelled like fish! It took 20 minutes for a different waitress to ask us if we wanted a refill on the coffee. I told her about the fishy smell she said she had never heard of that before. I said here have a smell and she said no. I asked if we could have our water in to-go cups. She took our glasses and brought us warm bottled water instead. How sad to serve warm water in Dunsmuir “ the best water on earth should have been chilled. When we finally got our food it was cold and smelled like fish. My husband ordered tacos and it smelled like he had a plate of seafood. My son’s burger was raw with a pile of unmelted cheese on top. It wasn’t even cooked long enough to melt cheese. I explained this to another waitress and told her that we would not be eating this food. She said that she would comp it. I said no hard feelings to anyone we just don’t feel comfortable eating this food. She said “well kinda”. What does that mean? Does it mean that she kinda had hard feelings? She seemed offended. I feel if I come into a restaurant and I am served uncooked and cold food and fishy smelling water I should be able to tell the staff with full confidence that they aren’t taking it personally. It’s a business. The food should be top priority. I even said no hard feelings. We sat there for over an hour and watched 4 other tables get coffee and food including refills while we just sat there. We don’t mind waiting for food. It happens. But when you finally get it and it’s cold and uncooked and you have swatted flies from your fishy water glasses you just want to go home and eat a pb&j. Ya know No one said sorry for the wait or anything at all for that matter. Something is definitely going on here. I think their dishwasher needs to be cleaned because that’s what causes dishes to smell like fish. Extremely unpleasant with all the flies. Who wants to hear let me bring you a fan to blow the flies away? We never got the fan either! I won’t ever go back!

I took my friends for lunch at this establishment. I had to eat my bicuits and gravy alone though. my friends left this restaurant because it took an hour to get our food. i waited 38 minutes for my coffee. no refills! the food was tasteless and bland. cold and my gravy had a long hair in it. the water was warm and smelled like fish was yucky. coffee was waaay too strong . yikes. my friends food was extremely undercooked. the hamburger was raw. literally raw. i saw mold on the cheese and bun. service was terrible . we live close by and eat out regularly. they lost all my future business. - also THE FLIES were everywhere. i had one on my cup- at least 5 times. my stomach is hurting from the food i ate. wished i didnt eat it.
