El Pollo Rico

I know Pollo is in the name and you'll never go wrong with their smoked chicken. But lately I've branched out to the other items. Pastor is delish with corn tortillas. Two corn tortillas for each taco makes them hardier and more tasty. Also the Rico burger is wonderful. You get the burger hot off the grill as it should be. Plus you get a broiled jalapeno on the side. Next time I'm trying the baked potato

The chicken was incredibly good. The beans and rice were bland with no flavor. It would have been nice if somebody was there that spoke englas.It was my first time to this restaurant

Rental Property

The food at Pollo Rico is almost ALWAYS a 5 star - IF you get your food AND IF it's what you ordered. The staff is consistently terrible and will only offer a blank stare if you have any issues (they gave me the entirely WRONG order last time and it took about 10 minutes for me to get the correct order, too bad for the person who received my order) I still recommend the food - because it IS that good, but if they ever get a competitor that is even close to the quality, I'd jump ship in a minute. The service is seriously that bad :(

This establishment is a real hole in the wall. They never speak English to me and expect me to know what they are saying in Spanish. My potato was hard and cold to where the little bit of cheese they put on it was not melted. My bf had one taco that was smaller than the picture and he got very sick after eating it. I'll be honest with you, they really should be nicer to us females and not just flirt with the men.

Usually great but tonight was really disappointing. We usually order a whole roasted chicken with the sides. We love their green salsa. Pleasant Valley is our regular spot, but tonight we went to the Oltorf location. We were disappointed to get home and find our whole chicken was 5 wings, a small chicken breast and a few other small pieces we honestly didn’t recognize. Looked like the back end of the chicken??? Anyway, we ate it and it was fine, a little dry. We hope they were just having a bad day today - Monday at 6pm. We will try again another day to see if it was just a fluke.

Terrible service, they didn't take my order, they closed the store even though it was during business hours, they saw I was outside and didn't open up

My husband ordered a kids quesadilla & was given a beef quesadilla because they confused the word “ kids” with “ beef” for some reason and they swore they asked him if he wanted it to be switched out but they never asked that because I was on the phone with him speaking to them the entire time & they never once asked if I wanted a refund & then to be charged for the correct item. And then they tried to blame it on him because he didn’t speak Spanish. It was very disappointing, I do not eat meat so I could not eat this abomination.

every time I go to this location (oltorf) there is a problem with something. It’s either My nachos are always without cheese, my chips are always soggy and cold or they put the cheese at the bottom of everything else. I don’t understand what’s so hard about saying there’s no cheese. The employees are rude. I will drive a couple miles farther just for better service riverside always gets it right.

Extremely disappointed with my order. Normally this is the location my family orders from but the chef must had a bad day. Tex mex comb had only 5 small strips of meat. The baked potato had a sprinkle of meat. 😨
