Pretty good Korean fried chicken place! I got the 5piece drums with both sauces, and it really hit the spot! The spicy sauce is at a good, strong spice level, so definitely keep that in mind. The original sauce is very tasty as well. The chicken drumsticks have good layer of crispness on the outside, but still tender on the inside. Can’t ask more than that!

Bonchon is my to go food when it comes to korean fried chicken. We usually get medium size of 20 wings for two of us. Personally I love the spicy chicken, its one of the best and the other flavor is soy sauce. The spicy sauce sometimes not that consistent given that it can be quite spicy sometimes and the other time its just okay. For the price of 20 wings its quite worthed and also comes with 20 coleslaw. I always use uber eats to get it delivered during pandemic, the only down side is that the chicken wont be as crispy as dine it but the upside is no need to drive.

Korean style fried chicken. We had the sweet garlic and minor spicy with kimchi cole slaw style. It was a good side dish. The main meal was crunchy and delicious. It was prepared fast and efficient. Great staff. IMO, i considered it a snack/ meal. Somewhat good wings and drumstick size legs. We also had the takoyaki."octopus" with edible fish flakes as garnish. We all tried , but not a fan.

Used to love this Korean chicken store a lot. However, I feel recently the flavor changed. The chicken wings are not seasoned well, not juicy and flavorful anymore. Disappointed. The soy garlic sauce flavor changed as well, I only tasted salty flavor. Good thing is they could do half and half.

Came to this place for the Korean Fried chicken as they have drumsticks on the menu. Ordered medium size that consists of 10 drumsticks. The taste is rather disappointing. I wanted the chicken to stay crispy so asked if I can have it without the sauce and whether it will still be tasty without the sauce. The server reassured me that it will be tasty with no sauce and they strictly do not serve the sauce on the side. Also ordered the Japchae noodles as well. The drumsticks tasted very bland and again I asked if we can have sauce since I really didn’t expect it to be tasteless. Another server reiterated that they can drizzle the sauce over it and my friend picked the soy garlic and yummy yum. The sauce added taste to the chicken but the soy garlic was awfully sweet. The other flavor was ok. Next came the Japchae noodles which literally tasted the same as the soy garlic sauce and was overtly sweet. It is one of the worst Japchae noodles I ever had. Anyway, I will definitely not return for the food. I understand that the chicken needs to be prepared a certain way since it is a franchise/chain restaurant to keep to the consistency of what the brand is. But the taste of the sauce in this case definitely needs some adjustments. I’m a big fan of Korean food and Korean Fried Chicken. This to me is far from authentic. The chicken definitely needs to have sauce to taste better…but better sauce. However, I like to mention that the staff at this location is very friendly which kind of made up for the bad tasting food. I would not recommend going there if you want authentic/good Korean Fried Chicken. There are other restaurant and I noticed they have 1 competitor right outside across the parking lot. I had wanted to try this brand though, especially since they have drumsticks on the menu that most places chose to remove from their menu.

First time having Bonchon in Sunnyvale as I have only been to the Blossom Hill, San Jose, location before. The service here was very friendly. The food was okay but it just didn’t taste as good as my previous experience at the other location. Was also surprised that they don’t have fried rice at this location. Wasn’t a bad experience, just wasn’t what I was looking forward to.

$8.99 for corn cheese and the serving size is a JOKE. It doesn’t even taste good. got the original combo with wings and drumsticks and the cheese corn The chicken had extreme salt/msg on outside and bland inside. The corn cheese was just a huge scam honestly

I understand the difference between flats and drumettes. What I was served were drumsticks(legs), not wings. Repeatedly. Dismissing a recurring mistake as “customer confusion” doesn’t fix the issue. If cutting corners is part of your operation, then please don’t present yourselves as experts, and do this ''teaching'' stuff. Here is original post: I usually quite like the chicken wings this brand and other dishes from this restaurant, but this time I just couldn't tolerate it anymore. I've ordered wings several times, but each time I received a mix of drumsticks and wings. Why do they have to be so stingy? Isn't this considered fraud?! Because I ordered pickup and delivery each time, I didn't check the order until I got home, and I was really angry 😤

I ordered uber eats and called them asking to make all flats. Just like I do anywhere I order bon chon. The guy that answered sounded drunk and told me bon chon doesn’t do that. I informed him that I call when I order and they do. He said it would mess up their inventory. I asked for a manager and he said no because you are going to complain about me. I said I just want all flats. He said ok bye and hung up on me. He was either drunk or high.

Pretty terrible service experience here. Ordered pickup for 7:45pm, I asked them about my order when I arrived at 7:50, and they said they couldn't find it in their system and that the kitchen was still working on it. I waited around for an extra 10 minutes, and there was no update or acknowledgement from the service staff about my order. Eventually I asked one of the guys working there where my order was. He looked at one of the orders sitting on the table and said "oh here's your order". Smh it was probably ready for the past 15 minutes, why didn't they check that order when I first arrived? By the time I got my food it was noticeably less crispy and I also unnecessarily wasted a lot of my time >:(

This place used to be good. The wings are too dry now and they overcharge. Legit got a new rice bowl from them to go, called them because the portion was so small. The staff didn't even know this was a menu item and I had to argue with them that I ordered it from there. On top of this, I ordered pick up, got there at my pickup time, restaurant was empty and I still had to wait an additional 10 min because they forgot about my order. Legit seriously poor customer service. Let's see what their response is to this paltry chicken bowl... Do yourself a favor and order from VON'S down the street. I don't like their marinade as much but overall experience is 100% better.
