Probably my favorite burger joint on Long Island next to All American. Small little place in East Meadow Plaza that sits as a stand alone shake in the middle of the parking lot with bright white bulb lights spelling BURGER CITY. Burger selection is not super extensive but has more than enough variety made the way you want it (only complaint is you can't really get it super rare...). The menu listed above the register does not cover all they have (see door dash for all options). I usually get a cheeseburger with bacon or Quarter pounder with cheese. All burgers come with pickles, diced onions and ketchup unless you specify otherwise. Sides are great as this place serves a classic NY potato Knish!!! Also you're more full country classic sides likes fries and onion rings (can't vouch cuz I always get the knish). Drinks are fairly fast food standard with some good shakes (strawberry, chocolate, vanilla...I think thats it) and sodas...but get a shake. Service is very quick even when it's busy (unless some jerk orders for 10 people) but it is usually busy. Never had an order screwed up either...unlike most fast food joints and the burgers are made not reheated. Atmosphere is.... pretty much non-existent although they do have a tent extention with about 4 tables to eat if you live far away (if I'm really hungry I just eat in my car). It's like if All American had a smaller younger brother. 5 stars overall

The person who takes your order was so sweet & understanding (it was my first time there). While I waited for our food we got the pleasure to meet Gerard, one of the friendliest & down to earth people you'll ever meet. He gave me all the sauces to try & recommendations. We decided to stay & eat there, thank goodness because everything was delicious. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, it was so fresh & just the perfect amount of spicy for a sandwich. It was juicy & had a tasty thick pickle inside - chefs kiss. We ordered onion rings & sweet potato tots - everything was to perfection especially those sweet potato tots! Btw, all the sauces - delicious! Before we left I decided to bring my son a bacon cheeseburger, fries, & sweet potato tots so he can try - my picky eater tried to devour everything! I live 10 minutes from Burger City but up until today, never tried it. For all these years, I've driven down to the south shore and a well known burger take out place . Not anymore. Burger City is truly amazing and is definitely #1 in my book.

Havent been here since 2019 and i’m proud and happy to see Burger City getting the recognition it deserves! The location is perfect for this small burger joint, and the quality is all the same. A delicious quater pounder, great crunchy fries and onion rings and the sweet potato tots are fun. The chicken sandwich is juicy inside and perfectly light and crispy on the outside, they could open up a Chicken City Next. Order came out right on time, and the employee handling online orders and helping customers was very friendly and professional, a great representative for this must try spot.

First time back since they reopened and OMG it was worth the wait. I got my usual double cheeseburger with fries but this time also tried their chicken sandwich. Let me say my mind was blown how good the chicken sandwich was, super crispy outside, super juicy inside and with their signature soft bun, I’m inclined to say this may have been the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Oh yeah their burgers and sides is nothing to sneeze at. Huge props to Burger City. Keep up the great work. Long story short it was definitely worth the hour drive in the rain coming from Queens into Nassau County.

delicious and super fresh cooked to order old school fast food burgers. a boy like in and out burger but no special sauce lol. a double cheese burger each at $4.49 was satisfying after splitting a very disappointing very expensive Brooklyn Roast beef dip sandwich (almost $15 with tax and credit card surcharge) from a new overpriced joint just around the corner. ...bonus is that a newish Lidl supermarket is right across the parking lot so we were able to pick up a few goodies from.there too and use the lidl sparkling clean bathrooms after enjoying the juicy delicious burgers from burger city sitting outside and soaking up the delightful spring 🌞 sorry forgot to take pics of the food because we were still starving after our chintz expensive "snack" sandwich from that Brooklyn Roast beef jount....not surprising that Burger city had a line at lunch and the other place was nearly empty...that should have been a big warning sign to me at lunch time. oh well ...glad we finally tried burger city... we will be back.

Fantastic Double cheese burger. I'm an All-American of Massapequa fan my whole life so I had to try Burger City to compare. I must say I place this Double cheeseburger as a complete equal. All Americans burger has a greasier taste which I often love and a seeded bun with a distinct flavor. Burger City's Double is a potatoish bun, thicker pickles, more cheese, and more ketchup. The burger juice itself is certainly fresh. Absolutely delicious.

It’s a peer to Shake Shack, good grade of high quality beef on the burgers, the grilled cheese sandwich took me back to high school cafeteria lunches. If you’re taking the family, great spot with something for everyone. I ordered the fries no salt and they were deelish. The chicken sandwich was a bit dry and overdone. Not a fan. For the money, it’s a great one stop shop for familiar comfort food and a step above the typical fast food chain. Cheers 🥂 to our next adventure.

I had been wanting to try Burger City out for a long time, so I took my kids out to lunch one day and wow! They still talk about how they loved the food and everything was super delicious. Crispy fries, crispy juicy nuggets, amazing onion rings, and juicy fresh burgers 😋🤤 Staff was super friendly and courteous and the order took the right amount of time for being prepared fresh. When I walked in I was graced with a wonderful scenery . The service was wonderful. When the lady who passed me my food she gave it with a smile. Then I tried the food and it had me head over heels. As great as the service the french fries are a must have and the double cheese burger is one of the best if not the best burger I have had.

The burgers are delicious! I usually get the double quarter pounder with cheese and it’s satisfying, so flavorful! The onions are such a great addition and comes with it already, I just ask for grilled onions. The burgers are better than Shake Shack and trust me, we’re fans of shake shack in my family of 4! The sweet potato tots are also delish though sweet. My kids love it. My daughter loves the chicken burgers also. Must try! And love that it’s local and close to home to get in a pinch.

Places like this need to be coveted! My buddy Tom & I went to Burger City on our lunch break and instantly we knew everything about our experience would be good. From the moment you walk in you feel like you've been transported into a time machine (including the great prices). We had the Boss Burger with fries and a shake and everything was made to perfection. What's even better is that we got to chat with the owner Jim, his son, and his buddy Russ. The conversation was great and made our experience that much more enjoyable. The excitement they share about their craft radiates through the food and the overall experience. I would HIGHLY recommend going if you are in the area. But if not, check out their spot in Ridgewood as well.

I LOVE BURGER 🍔 CITY My new go to burger spot. I used to think All American was reined supreme and no one could come close — but I’m starting to think this place is even better, which is saying a lot. My go to is the QP with Cheese. This is my second time going in the past week 🤣 what I sadly didn’t get a picture of was their chocolate shake. Their chocolate shake was *chefs kiss* it was creamier than your typical chocolate shake. Sometimes I don’t like when they put chocolate syrup in shakes but theirs was perfect. Have to go back to try their strawberry or strawberry / vanilla shake. I also got a grilled cheese for my son, he is napping so I took a bite (mom tax). Also delicious. I was afraid by the looks of it I might have been a tad burnt- it wasn’t. Cooked to perfection. The other reason I’ll take it over All American- even when they are super busy I don’t feel like I wait as long. This is also closer to me than All American so a win in my book.

Lovee the burger city experience, like a shorter drive version of all American with a little less hype but the burger was great, so was the grilled cheese with bacon! Bun was fresh, pickles and onions were crisp, perfect amount of ketchup and the packaging kept it hot, can't ask for more.

Was on my way to cradle of aviation museum and stopped by here for lunch. Excellent spot. I ended up getting a boss burger, onion rings and a black and white milkshake. I did have to wait a bit but I was there at peak lunch hours. Collectively it wasn’t that bad of a wait though. Getting a table during peak hours might be hard especially when it’s nice out. The burger was excellent. They make all their burgers with martins potato rolls which makes the burger easy to eat. The onion rings were crispy and did not fall apart. The shake was great, not too thick. Cashiers were friendly and helpful. Gave me extra sauces when I asked for it. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area.

So far the cheapest burgers I have come across in and around NYC. There is nothing bad you can say to a $3 burger. I got the double cheese burger, onion rings and a knish. The onion rings were nothing to write home about. The Knish was filling and the burgers were awesome. The burgers do not come with lettuce and tomato, they also do not have lettuce and tomato available. The burgers do remind me of a bigger version of white castle burgers which I do adore. Cheers!

So I heard this burger joint was a favorite with the locals. The layout gives you that old school retro look and feel. Makes you feel like you're in the 1960's or something. Now for the food. I ordered the quarter pounder with cheese, double burger, cheeseburger, hamburger, cheese fries, regular fries, onion rings and a milkshake. The burgers were all pretty solid. They add minced onions in the burgers which I enjoyed a lot. Also were two pickles instead of one inside each burger. They advertise that the patties are never frozen which the difference I could clearly tell. Their onion rings are those old school giant rings which were cool and their fries were crispy and seasoned. The prices here were very fair and the staff was ok. Overall, I enjoyed the food here but is it better than All American Hamburger in Massapequa? I would have to say no, but this is a good option if you're in the area.

This is a convenient little fast food burger joint. The prices are decent, especially for nowadays. It is possible to get a decent meal for around $15. And I personally much rather spend that money here than a fast food chain. The meat is fresh and does not taste like it came out of the freezer. For a place that was hyped to me by a so called “foodie” my expectations were high. In truth it didn’t live up to the hype. To me the everything hangs on FLAVOR! If the word BURGER is in your name then you gotta represent! The flavor wasn’t there. Many places spend the money on the cheese and not on the meat. They also only offer cheddar cheese. It tends to overpower all the other flavors and it allows to sneak cheaper cuts of beef past someone’s palate. When I’m testing a place for the first time I don’t have cheese on the burger so I can taste the flavor of the meat. It wasn’t great. It was just ok, average restaurant quality. The fries were good & the chicken nuggets were great. The vibe was one of my favorite 60’s burger places named “WETSONS.” The burger was on the small size and the add ons like bacon were $1.95 each. The bacon was not very flavorful aka cheap. If you’re looking for a “Charlie the Tuna” experience and even old enough to know what I mean by that, then have at it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a better quality & experience than any cookie cutter fast food giant. Boomers like myself will enjoy bringing the younger of the clan here to give them an inkling of what “fast food” used to be. PS - the City Sauce was poppin’!!! Way too much hype about their burgers. They aren’t bad but they are nowhere near on a level of five guys or shake shack. Hardly any flavor to their burgers just very plain tasting and the bacon and sauces on the side didn’t do it any justice. The fries were good. The cheese sauce that we asked for on the side was more liquid than a sauce so that wasn’t good and the onion rings I ordered weren’t given to me they added more fries instead. And someone who loves onions I found myself having to take off the mountain of minced onions they put on my burger just way too much. Not sure if they dropped the ball whoever was taking care of my order but I won’t be back anytime soon.

We can say the burgers were good. Using Martin's potato buns interesting idea. French fries ordered them well done and they were. Crispy and golden brown but no salt. Now the prices are ridiculous. $5.20 for a 1/4 pounder with cheese. It cheaper to buy a double cheeses burger for $4.99. Also the cheese sauce is a runny mess. Really no flavor. If I was in the area I might stop here again but why go with a copy when the original All American blows them away with food and prices.

The burgers 🍔 are good. But they are extremely small. The French fries 🍟 are ok and very greasy. Over all its ok and nothing to brag about. The service from the staff was great. They are very pleasant and professional

The sweet potato tots are delicious and original, definitely get them. A fun old style burger place.

Second time here. Great service. Burger is very fatty. So much greasy. Now I look for a 80/20, fat, gooey burger. This was kinda overdone and dry. Double quarter pound cheese burger with bacon. Small amount of bacon. Way too many onions. The double burger was adequate amount. I like All American better but I'd come back here.

For all the reviews calling it the best burger on LI, I thought it was pretty mid overall. The big city and boss burgers were pretty good, nothing special. The fries itself had a nice crisp and salty taste, and the black and white shake was great. I think you'd get more value with their cheaper burgers, particularly the normal double cheeseburger, compared to their special burgers like the Big City burger. I would've given this place 4 stars for the good food and greater service, but took off an additional star since the guy flipping burgers had a thick head of hair but no hair net. I know kitchens can get hot but if you don't cover your head at all, what's stopping your hair from falling onto the food? Hygiene should always be the number one priority when preparing food 👎🏽

I wanted to try a new burger spot. The reviews online for this place looked great. I had to try... I picked up a double cheese burger, onion rings and chocolate shake. The service was good. The cheese burger was alright at best. I didn't love the onion rings. The shake was pretty small like an 8-10oz cup. The price was good about $14. Felt like this spot was just hyped up with the reviews. I probably won't be back. Just was not impressed and with the good reviews for this spot I felt this was a let down.

Gave me the wrong order, substituted my fries for tater tots and instead of leaving the fries, they took it out and put it back with the other fries. Where it went, I don’t know. Still pondering to this day.

The cheese gave my roommate hives and the strawberry shake split very quickly. The food tasted bad, the patties being White Castle quality with even worse cheese. The flavor wasn’t even close to being worth the hives or rapid change in consistency. What I mean is the cheese was an odd texture and flavorless, the shake tasted like pure artificial strawberry flavoring. Honestly, I’m not sure if this qualifies as food for human consumption

Worst burger. Bun is sooo sucky and i ate it to stay right away. Burger looks like it is steamed or boiled. Wasted my money

They charged me and my husband for our meal. I got a notification text proving it. Then, they told me it didn't go through. And I had to pay for it again. I checked my statements, and I was charged twice for mine and my husband's meals. Cashier gave me an attitude when I did not want to pay a second time
