Their burger is PERFECT juicy and tender with the perfect amount of sauce. I was a guest party there a few months ago and their catering service was on point. Professional and friendly. I loved the food. Fresh and delicious. Owner and staff were very friendly and attentive. Wonderful customer service! Very clean and beautiful sitting area. We had a combination plate between my husband and I. Loved every bite of chicken and beef. Big portions. My son had the lamb shank plate, very big and delicious. The rice is fresh and tasty. We'll be back for my birthday. Plus the owner came out to make sure we were happy with our meals multiple times. They really were very attentive. I highly recommend their desert Kunafa!

Very good food. We had the combination plate w 2 beef &1 chicken kabob. Includes salad and rice. Additional Tabouli and Kunafa. Attentive service, and feel like home. Great dessert

This afternoon my Arabic friend said, let me show u where to go for good Mediterranean food. We ended here. It's a darling place. The owner is such a gentleman. The food was amazing!! For those who read my posts, u know I'm not a big meat eater. But this place is exactly why I would never be a vegetarian. These people know how to cook! The dish that was ordered was a Fiesta size combination of a variety of dishes. I dont know the names of them all but i know one was called Chicken Shwarma, and there was chicken and beef kobab (not exactly sure what it was called). We also ordered French fries... um not the kind from McD. The real kind. And for dessert Baklava. The meat was so flavorful! Amazing tantalizing taste and wildly delish!!! 😝😝😝Also the Lentil soup and the hummus was to die for!!! I could eat that hummus for days and days.😋😋😋😋😋 I'm definitely taking my family here to eat!!! It's a Happy Time at Happy Time. 4 people ate with extra to take home! Update 6/18/22 took my hubby and sister here to enjoy. So yummy. What a wonderful treat to come here and bring lots of leftovers for my children! They scared it all up. Nothing left!

I recently picked up takeout, and I’m so glad I did! When I arrived, I was impressed by how clean and fancy the restaurant looked—it definitely gives off an upscale vibe. I ordered the mixed grill, which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. They even asked if I wanted a free lentil soup, which I happily accepted. It was a great addition to the meal and tasted amazing. Overall, the food and service were top-notch, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Wow! I must say this has to be some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten in my life. I’m not even exaggerating. Chicken and Beef tikka plates both amazing. Hummus is the best out there flavor wise. I’m so glad me and the family finally tried this place. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff for the great food and service.

Middle Eastern food lovers: Hummus is very good Potato salad is very good Kuba, samboosa, and a lot more. They cator small parties and fairly priced. We had 2 family occasions small parties in this place. The owner is very nice man, but the place has a lot of tasty meals.

My friend, who is a native Iraqi, took me to Happy Time and I was blown away by the authenticity and deliciousness of the food. We ordered a sampler of things and the kanaf at the end was simply mouth-watering. Five stars for the food, service and friendliness!

After being a regular customer for years by now. It is a time to leave a good review! Happy time has the BEST shawrma wrap in the neighborhood and probably San Diego area. It has always been the same delicious shawrma that I order over the years. The customer service is great! The elderly guy is so sweet and kind. He works really hard on his business.

My son & I were out doing errands & realised that we were very hungry. It was around 8pm but Happy Time was still open. It was delicious!

Sometimes we like to step away from our usual dining routine and enjoy something other than Asian cuisine. It has been a while since we last dined or ordered from Happy Time Mediterranean Restaurant, so this evening we decided to return to one of our favorite Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spots. We continue to come back not only because the food is consistently delicious, but also because the owner and staff are genuinely kind and always provide exceptional service. We ordered two plates, and once again the dishes were perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and full of flavor. The salad dressing remains one of our favorites, and every bite reminded us why this restaurant continues to stand out. Overall, it was another wonderful dinner experience, and we look forward to returning again soon.

The food was great, and the staff were welcoming. We especially enjoyed the appetizer plate with hummus, tzatziki, beet salad, tabouleh, and baba ghanouj. The beef shawarma bowl was also tasty. Servings were generous - good find for a quick meal!

Food was priced justly shawarma cooked well aand looks well on the outside but chicken is way too dry and has little flavor the beef is way too soggy and is too rich. The garlic sauce has the garlic overpowering at the end. I would definitely not come back

Nope! Not worth the calories or the price. No menus, you have to order from the screen on the wall, which is difficult if you forgot your reading glasses at home. The cashier was impatient and annoyed. The food was subpar, tasteless and disappointing. My plate did not look like the pictures. The beet salad was canned beets mixed with canned corn 🌽, nothing else. Ididn't receive the olive topping i see in other pictures. The 'pita bread' was a tortilla. Again not like I see in the pictures. Maybe they ran out. Even the salad 🥗 was tasteless... how it that possible? The soda machine was broken so I got a canned soda and forfeit getting refills. Three meals were $60. The decor was nice. We sat outside and they played great music. I enjoyed the lentil soup and outdoor seating. I will not return.

The baba ganoush was very lack luster in taste while the dolma was good for being vegetarian! The plates for the amount of food was a lot, but no amount can make up for quality and how the food was prepared. Update September 19th 2021: I am going back through all my reviews of restaurants to be more stringent and to compete my due diligence of each. I have set forth three rules that all restaurant will need to follow to get a three star rating. The three rules for restaurants is the keep it fresh, keep it clean, and keep it simple! Getting a four or five star will become harder, but not impossible! Why? Well, people rating poor restaurants as five stars when they are barely a two or three is commonplace in Google Maps and I would like to fix this problem.

The fries were cold and tasted like they’d been sitting out for a while, even though I was the only customer.
