Outstanding value and service. I don't review too often, but I thought I should remark positively on Katie's Country Kitchen and particularly our server Zack. He took time to tell us about how the Chandler plate that was their Sunday night special. Four generous pieces of chicken was pressure cooked in an in house broiler to retains it's juiciness, and create a crunchy exterior. Zack also helped custom create the mini-sundae for the kids. The bill was surprisingly low and likely this restaurant must be a loss leader for the casino. The service remarkable because we've only seen this sort of care at a Michelin starred restaurants before.

LOW PRICES, LOTS OF FOOD! We were impressed with the amount of food you get and how low the prices were. All of it was quite tasty as well. I had a navy bean soup that was absolutely DELICIOUS! Then the turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The plats was full to the edge & tasted like Thanksgiving! Like most places, they may have been understaffed & our server Zach handled it like a pro. He was zipping thru there like a chicken with its head cut off, but he did a fantastic job! We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

This gem serves great food with generous portions and low prices. The restaurant is cozy and server's are very efficient and polite. We ordered 2 turkey dinners, patty melt, cob salad, buffalo wings and fried chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out very quick! This place has something for everyone, can't wait to try the breakfast!Overall a pleasant experience and will return.

They have a great menu special of chicken fried steak with 2 eggs and biscuits and gravy. I love it.

We ate here recently, they had a cute valentines raffle going on in the casino that the restaurant is located. The meatloaf was really good but the mozzarella sticks were pretty squishy my child enjoyed them though 😄. Nice staff and food was pretty fast.

Plenty of food. Prices have gone up somewhat to match most places around there. Probably not as good as it was a couple years ago, but I would still go back again. Pictured is the cowboy steak. I was thinking it was the small steak but it is a hamburger. Patty. It never clarifies that on the menu.

I just had the ground steak dinner entree and it was very good, just in case you wanted something different than a burger or sandwich here. Katie's is the coffee shop serving breakfast lunch and dinner at the Carson Valley Inn. It's pretty middle America, so don't expect any cutting edge innovative cuisine. No, they have regular good ole American food here. Normal American breakfasts including chicken fried steak and waffles. Lunch is burgers and sandwiches and even fish and chips! Dinner is normal American comfort food. The service here is friendly and they might even call you "Honey"! Prices are reasonable, but not dirt bargain cheap like casinos of old. You know, NY steaks for $5.99 or burgers and fries for $2.99! No just normal prices here. I had the fish and chips and they were surprisingly good, battered fresh, so none of those pre coated triangles of fish filets. I'll come back here again. What is real good is the Monte Christo sandwich! Imagine a ham and turkey sandwich dipped in batter and deep fried! It's a wonder of life!

While in town for a visit, we dined at Katie's. The fried chicken taste like wood and needed to be fried longer so that the inside is totally cooked. The crust of the chicken was very thin and falling off. However, my husband loved the mash and dark gravy. I understand in a public setting seasoning has to be limited, but this chicken had no flavor. The atmosphere was very family oriented. During our 2 dining experiences, we had the best waitress. Her name escapes me but she's a short feisty little thang that was in charge and in control, despite the shortage in staff and the amount of people to serve. She was carrying those big round trays with multiple plates mounted on it without wasting a drop. I called her over bc I had a new name for her, "Ms. Bad Ass."

The service was good - our waiter was friendly. It was a busy Saturday night but it wasn't too long of a wait for our food. The food itself was average. I had the big bird sandwich with fries. The fries were good, the sandwich was a bit dry. My boyfriend had the prime rib special. He said it was cooked okay but it lacked flavor. *edit - had breakfast here last weekend and I have to rave about the deep fried sausage! I'm not a deep fried food lover per se, but the sausage was amazing!

My food was cold inside probably sat under the heatlamp. The waitress had a pissy attitude & then never refilled our drinks or asked if we needed anything else. We finished our dining, had to ask a busser to get us our check. At the cashier counter we had to wait for the cashier to go and retrieve goodies for casino patrons, they came back with nothing, we were then told it would be a few minutes cause they couldn't cash us out since the other transaction had been started already. When I asked to speak with someone regarding our service I was told there wasn't anyone available and we would need to wait again. After almost 6 mins, the other transaction was finalized then we paid , no one spoke to us regarding the waitress.
