Staying in El Paso for a few days visiting the national parks in the area. Searched out a Mexican restaurant in the area near our hotel and decided to try this one. Glad we did. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Our waiter was very attentive and super nice. Different types of salsa was offered for our chips and our drinks never ran dry. My wife had the enchiladas suizas and I had the Mole Enchiladas which is hard to find in my Louisiana neck of the woods. Will definitely come back here if we ever come back through El Paso.

first time in the neighborhood, craving some mexican food and couple of good margaritas i came across this place on yelp. omg got beef barbacoa tacos & steak tacos, those came with 2 sides per dish and were so delicious 🤤 our server was very nice and attentive and margaritas were top notch! i had regular margarita with salt rim and my husband got couple of cucumber ones with tajini rim those were made with fresh cucumber 🥒 and so so good! the interior, the music, and overall ambiance of the place were relaxing, just one of those places where you can really unwind! loved it! thank you for great experience!

Without a doubt this is one of my favorite restaurants! I come here every time a come to visit from Dallas. The chipotle chilaquiles wirh chicken and beans are a must have. Also I suggest the carnitas, they are juicy, tasty and they have homemade tortillas. Better yet, the food is at a good price point and they serve fast.

Our mexican escape in El Paso. Authentic mexican food for once! Everything is delicious. Changing the location was key. I've tried almost all their menu such as the tacos, flautas, burritos, breakfasts, shrimp cocktail, carnitas, meat cuts. Service is a bit slow at times but other than that love the music and ambience, nice for family and couples.

These burritos are a good size for the price!!! Barbacoa, Mole (My favorite, really delicious at this restaurant), Desebrada, & chicken fajitas! On a previous visit we have ordered these burritos; steak fajitas, & lamb barbacoa!! This restaurant served us well, and the the people dining in, were well spread apart, during this pandemic!

There was no wait and the waiter was very attentive and helpful in deciding food. He also understood that when bringing my toddler to the restaurant I needed a little bit of extra prompt speed and attention. By the way the Barbacoa was absolument délicieux. Best Barbacoa I've had so far in El Paso along with the beans and rice and tortillas. I've been to a few of the Mexican restaurants around here and wasn't impressed with their barbacoa even if they had the most delicious Tripas or fish or shrimp, etc. I guess each one has their specialty.

Best green salsa in town! Overall great food and service!

I ate here once when I was in El Paso last month & it was delicious!! Ordered the chicken enchiladas, it came with three & I was full after only eating one of them! The sauce on the enchiladas was delicious. I noticed they have tripas tacos, so I'm ordering the heck out of those when I'm in town again. Also, the giant margarita pictured is part of their happy hour & was only $4 (if I'm remembering correctly), & it wasn't weak either! Highly recommend if you're in the mood for some great tasting, made from scratch mexican food.

We LOVE Carnitas. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is always great. It’s hard to say whether I like breakfast or dinner better, because I love both! But I am writing this review to also compliment the amazing service we always receive. Even tonight, I picked up a takeout order and parked far from the to-go door. The man helping with takeout helped me, walked my order all the way to my car and made sure the food was secure. Try Carnitas!!! ❤️❤️

Carnitas Querétaro never disappoints. I usually order the tacos dorados — always crispy and delicious. The beans are consistently good, and the salsa is absolutely spectacular. Their lemonade tastes freshly made every time, really refreshing. What I love most is the experience: there’s usually no wait, service is fast, prices are very reasonable, and the food is authentically Mexican. 4 adults one child. Had a variety of dishes. All meals were excellent and service was perfect. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Clean, not overly crowded and was able to converse around the table. It was not extremely busy so noise level might come up with more customers. Plenty of easy parking was a big plus on this trip as we were in three vehicles, one with a trailer . All in all, very pleased and will return in the future.

Went for breakfast. I hadn't been to this location, only to the one near the fountains. Didn't have that great experience. This Westside location blows the other one out of the water. The margaritas were excellent, not to mention $3.00. The food was exceptional, and they were fast with the order. The server was on point. The one item that took the cake was the Cafe de olla. I don't like it to start, my wife ordered it she said it was the best she ever had. I had a sip, and she wasn't wrong. It was the best coffee I ever had. Exceptional service, exceptional food and the price was really good.

Being raised in Mexico, there's nothing like going to a restaurant that has authentic Mexican food. Carnitas Querétaro is definitely the place. It's delicious and has a great staff with great customer service. Definitely recommend!

1st time back in about 15 + years ..must say food had great portions and flavors and price was great...can't complain there ...just gotta tidy up on the serving and the mistakes on orders a bit...no one wants to pay extra on things not requested although it was a 3 dll charge it wasnt too much but yea bring plates accordingly to how they are specified on the menu and not because of a mistake made..I get it we have bad days sometimes ..but overall will definitely go back for breakfast plates now since they looked great ..that asado plate is recommended 👌 and the enchiladas and plato mexicano 🔥👌👌

There was a 25 minute wait for a table so I sat at the bar since I was by myself. Service was great of the three items on the Plato Mexicano the taco was the best.

Certain items are better than others. Green sauce is amazing. Red sauce is ok. Real authentic type food. Don't expect cheesy fat grease American Mexican food. The picture says it all.

The service was nice, and there was lots of beer on draft for a restaurant. It wasn't necessarily authentic mexican, but if you're looking for a decent place with decent prices, it's a good choice. The $3 margaritas are premixed and quite watery. It was ok food and a great choice for say... a friend's dinner or first date, but it's not a good, authentic mexican place. Like the Chili's of mexican restaurants in El Paso.

Food at this restaurant is usually good. They have a two for one promotion going on. The breakfast was good, but service was lacking. Took about 5 minutes to seat us, another 5 minutes for someone to take our order. Took another 5 minutes to get coffee. If you have the patience to wait, this place is worth it, but lack of customer service may keep me away, no matter how good the food or special is.

When in El Paso visit this place. You won't be disappointed. The carnitas were very good and so was the asado de chile colorado.

This place serves one of my favorite tortilla soups. It is hearty, flavorful, and loaded with chicken. It’s a little spicy but absolutely delicious. They also have delicious flautas and ice cold beer. They do have a bar so they offer cocktails, there’s different specials throughout the week. The service is usually good but there’s been times when we waited for drinks for over 20 minutes. Prices are a little high but the food is good. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, it’s good for families, larger groups, or even a relaxed date night.

Came here with the family after exploring some of west El Paso. It seemed to be a good spot. The waiter was on point, he kept coming by to check on us. The food was good, I had to get Carnitas. Not only is it my meal, but the restaurant is literally named after them. They were good and had a nice crispy exterior and the tortilla were fresh made. The flan was really good, I could have ate more, luckily we got one to share. If the opportunity presents itself, I’d come back.

Excellent customer service, atmosphere, and food presentation. However, I ordered green chilaquiles, and although the plate was scalding hot, my food was cold. Taste was ok but salsa was not spicy and a bit bitter. I wish i had ordered something else.

Carnitas Queretaro Mexican Restaurant is another nice establishment focusing on Mexican fare. It is located near Remcon Circle by the Spring Hill Suites and Fairfield Inn and Suites, both Marriott properties. We arrived on a Monday night around 8 p.m. Perhaps because of the lateness of the hour, there was plenty of seating available. We were promptly shown to our table and shortly served drinks (horchata and water). While making our decisions from the menu, we were served tortilla chips with a green pepper sauce and a very spicy salsa, both of which were quite tasty. The chicken tortilla soup was amazing, with a rich, spicy red broth and pieces of tender chicken. Two separate bowls -- one with tortilla strips and another with mozzarella cheese and avocado -- were provided to add as necessary. The beef enchiladas were also delicious. One could choose from the red or green sauce (I chose the former), and either chicken, beef, or shrimp. I went with the beef, which turned out to be a good choice. The enchiladas were generously stuffed, and had a sprinkling of cheese on top. The plate came with a side of rice and refried beans. The Enchiladas Suizas was also a smart pick. The dish consisted of three rolled chicken enchiladas with a creamy tomatillo sauce, topped with sour cream and avocado. One can also choose from a side of rice, refried beans, or charro beans. Carnitas Queretaro Mexican Restaurant is a great place for local cuisine. Although the service was great initially, it did taper off a bit as we waited for the bill. Nevertheless, it was a satisfying meal and worth the visit.

I liked this place. Nice vibe and aesthetic. Salsa with the chips was spicy and I enjoyed it. Drink was good and I tried the pork adobada. I liked it, good flavor and spice. Among the best heat element in El Paso Mexican restaurants. The bathrooms need more attention, but this was a good restaurant.

Food was good, had soup, not the one I ordered, but it was good. Salad was as described and was good, very little dressing though. Husbands enchiladas were just ok. Very pleasant server, but asked for utensils twice after our meal came, and water 3 times and never did get it.

This was not our best dining experience. It was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was inviting, and our sitting arrangement was comfortable. The molletes were delicious, but unfortunately they didn't have a good ratio of beans to bread... they needed more beans. The carnitas were bland and also lacked a good portion of beans. The mole was flavorful, but the consistency was far too liquidy. Lastly, the service was subpar. One waiter continuously wandered around with food and needed assistance from other waiters to direct him to the correct tables. To include our own orders. Not once were we asked how our food tasted, or if we needed refills on our drinks. Also noted was that our waitress wanted to remove a plate from our table that we were still eating from. We felt rushed and underappreciated as customers. Which was not reminiscent of our prior good experience at this location for a family breakfast. It was definitely not what we had come to expect from Carnitas Queretaro. I hope that management reads and responds to this review. This is an opportunity to improve and align your staff with your vision. Which according to the about us section of your website it is “We have a passion for making each guest feel like family – hospitality is the ingredient we take pride in using the most!”.

Wandered in for breakfast and turns out there’s 2x1 special. I’m solo. Ask abt special and I’m told bc I’m a solo diner I don’t get the special. Can’t order two plates. Physically need another person seated to get the special. Lame!

Last night we went taco Tuesday .....the place was absolutely clean specially restrooms, unfortunately my Carnitas tacos were way 2 salty and they charge us one extra taco 🌮🤔😤😤😤😤😤😒

I usually visit the Eastside location this time we were going to another event on the same side of town we ordered the patilla for 4. I noticed it was $99 and thought wow that’s high then I thought it must be different and more special. Plus it advertised it had corn in the cup and we didn’t get any corn. For that price I really thought it was going to be better. It wasn’t. Actually it was less than the Eastside location. Very simple no onions or grilled veggies other than 2 jalapeños. No queso like we usually get. It just isn’t worth that price.

The meal was overcooked. Despite the server's professionalism, we notified two staff members (including our waiter) of the issue; however, neither attempted to resolve the problem. This is regrettable, as the restaurant's ambiance is pleasing, but the food quality and service were unsatisfactory.

Ordered carnitas tacos and apparently they dont come with cilantro and onions you gotta ask for them. Partner ordered beef enchiladas but its not ground beef its carne desebrada. We asked the waiter he said they dont sell ground beef in enchiladas but it doesnt specify in menu. Just go to Leo's down the street its better.

This used to be my favorite place for Mexican food in El Paso when I lived there. I haven't been in El Paso for 11 years. Thus was the one place I wanted to eat. It was very disappointing. The food tasted like almost everything came from pre-made mixes. I don't need to ever go back.

It's not worth it. I went on taco Tuesday. I know it's their special, but the tacos were cold. The tortillas were cold and hard. The meat inside of the tacos were cold and hard was not enjoyable. The service was very poor basically ignored us because we were ordering dollar tacos. I even order extra salsa and an extra refill on my drink. And he didn't bring it until we were done With Our meal. Didn't show up with our bill for about 20 minutes until I just got up and paid at the hostess Stand. This is the second time I've been disappointed. I'm never coming back again. I Didn't feel welcome and now that I'm back home. I feel more hungry than when I left. Even the table next to us was Going through the same things we were going through.

This is our first time in this restaurant therefore we did not know what to expect. I order 3 crunchy tacos, beans, rice and a Pepsi my son order 3 flautas, rice, beans and a lemonade then when we were eating we heard a person asking if it was taco Tuesday ($1) I then realized that I could have ordered tacos for a $1 each but it was too late, our server kept asking if we wanted another drink and kept bringing us drinks (Pepsi and lemonade) however when it was time to pay I got a bill for $41.95 to my surprise I was charged 3 lemonades? Terrible service! Our server did not made us aware of the "Taco Tuesday" also she did not told us that the lemonade did not have refills, that we will have to pay for each lemonade! If the server would have provided us with this information before I have to pay I would not have been in shocked! It made me feel that I was taking advantage of and I didnt matter! The food was not what I expected the flautas were over cooked and the flavor was not there on top of it the server keeping valuable information away from us just kill the desired to go back! This is a bad business practice! Not all of your clients are familiar with the food, promotions that the restaurant offers. I am a verry, unhappy, unsatisfied customer. Show CARE and be KIND to your next customers!!!

Bought a $5 chile relleno burrito and got this. Not even an entire chile. For $5 this is ridiculous. Update: Chile did not even have cheese. This is not the first review that states this.

This is honestly the worst Parrillada that you could get & for the price. They charged me $107.17 for one Queretana to only receive bare minimum meat, frijoles charros & their papas asadas. Then no guacamole or any types of seasoning for the tacos. No limes, cilantro, onions or at least salt packets. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all whatsoever.

Food was delicious service was a little subpar. Management was horrible was assaulted twice while eating our meal. Buy a panhandler, selling candy bars, not associated with the restaurant. Ruined a $50 romantic meal. I paid $20 for a $2 box of candy. Just to make the girl go away, and that was after my wife. It said, we don't have any cash on us. And she came around again and so I stopped my meal went out, got cash out of the vehicle and paid her $20 to just go away. Ruined a $50 meal that we did not finish about $20 worth of candy that we did not take with us very, very, very poor management. And all I've done is talk this restaurant up for the last 4 times I've been there so very disappointing.

My order arrived incomplete and late via DoorDash; the DoorDasher was also very rude and was obviously not going to help. I tried calling the restaurant twice but they did not answer so I drove to the restaurant. I waited over 20 minutes for three simple plates to be made and they refused to make one. It absolutely blew my mind that the manager failed to remedy after the inconvenience of receiving a late & incomplete order, driving to the restaurant (making the delivery fee paid a complete waste), and waiting (while the food at home goes cold). It is clear this restaurant does not care to give quality of service which is incredibly sad for what is supposed to be an El Paso local gem.

Arrived, got seated fairly promptly…….THAT was the end of the good experience. We got seated in an area where “it wasn’t as hot” as where they wanted to seat us at first. It was still easily 85 degrees in there. 5 min passed, no waiter, 10 min passed, no waiter, 15 passed, no waiter. We got up and left. Took the 2 min drive to Roadhouse where the food is much better quality and the AC is cold. $90 for a parrillada for 4? 😂😂 Fix your AC first! Our party of 5 all ate steaks for $140 at TX Rdhouse.

I can not say about the service and atmosphere because my girlfriend and I ordered online, but the food was not great. I had the green enchiladas with chicken, and the sauce was bland and thin and soaked the tortillas as if it was water and not sauce. The tortillas themselves weren't even cooked. It tasted like microwaved tortillas and got like 1/4 of a cup each of rice and beans. Very minimal and mediocre. Hope dining in is a better experience, but I'll stick to homemade for a while.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The food was fine but service was very poor. Our waiter was helpful to all the tables around us, but he only came to ours to take our order and drop of the food. He never checked on us, offered refills boxes or anything else. Someone at our table spilled their drink and we just sat in it because we couldn’t get any service. We asked another server for boxes and napkins. She obliged but she was clearly bothered by our request. We waited for our ticket but no one ever came, so we went to the front to pay and FINALLY we saw our waiter chasing us down to tell us we are supposed to pay him. We were the only people in the restaurant who appeared to receive terrible service. We were also the only white people in the restaurant. So, pretty obviously discrimination. Neither server we interacted with even attempted to speak to us in English or communicate with us in a manner we could understand. We eat here frequently but will never be back after today’s experience.

I placed an order today thru Door Dash. When the order was delivered it was incomplete. Called your restaurant to discuss the problem . I was told because I went thru Door Dash no refund would be issued and would have to reorder and pay again and pick up because your kitchen staff were incompetent to ensure my order was correct. Not only that, the avocado slices in my order had already gone bad. I took a picture as proof. Shame you would rather steal my money instead of resolving the issues and sending food that is rotten. I am a 100% disabled veteran on a set income, and your restaurant is treating me this way!
