Between Urban Plates and Tender Greens? I would choose the latter every day of the week! I love how clean this Tender Greens is. Anyhow, the customer service in this restaurant is top notch! The dining area and the restrooms are super clean. This is important because when the restaurants are clean, customers would be mindful to clean up after themselves. 👌✨ In terms of the food, I have only ever tried the plates but in terms of the entree of the plates? I have tasted all them and I would recommend all of them except for their falafel (vegetarian might love this though). As for the drinks, I think their Agua Fresca is great but can be a little to sweet for my taste. However, I would recommend The Greens (If you don't eat lots of vegetables but want to get their nutritional benefits? Try this). Review of each meat: - Salt and pepper chicken: Yes, your classic salt and pepper. These chicken are seasoned well and are really chewy! 😋 - Chipotle BBQ chicken: This has a little more flavor, salty with a little bit of sweetness to it. ** TIP: For the chicken, if you want more skin, asks for dark meat only. ** - Steak: Probably my favorite! Which meat lover doesn't like steak? 😏 **TIP: What I found to be a hit and miss is their steak level cook. Medium well steak seems to be the sweet spot for me and from time to time I would end up getting well done or medium instead. ** - Salmon: Salmon lovers, you would love this. The meat is fresh and juicy. Not too salty either. All in all, for those of you that want to eat healthy, delicious food and enjoy a cozy dining experience? Look no further, you would love Tender Greens.

Best salad I have had in a while. Barbeque chicken with spinach, avacodo, and thin cut bread. My better half ordered the Salmon Salad with mash potatoe. Fire!!! If you want a healthier alternative with some flavor. Give them a try. I dont post alot of the heathlier alternative places because they don't do it for me. This 1 is on my list. I will be back for a post work out meal most definitely. Ohhh yeah. They serve beer if you want a kick with your meal. As for me, the lemonade was a must have. The atmosphere was relaxing and outside weather was beautiful this particular day and so we decided to seat ourselves in the patio area. Very clean and well kept.

Amazing food and service, conveniently located near the airport. Kendra, who helped us at the register, made two phenomenal recommendations for my husband and I. The last time we came to tender greens we weren’t vegan, but her recommendations, the happier vegan bowl and the longevity bowl were absolutely delicious! My husband and I shared them and it was a perfect amount of food for us and both bowls were absolutely delicious! The location is also really well designed and laid out. The bar style area is perfect for waiting for to go and mobile orders (especially in this rain we’ve been having). The restroom is a little odd from other places, but not in a bad way. All “stalls” (they all have full doors, no gaps in the stall doors!) are unisex and there is a central hand washing sink. There are four restrooms for convenience. When I came, it wasn’t very busy for the whole hour and a half or so we were there, but the staff was friendly and kind and the restaurant was clean. Would definitely recommend and will come back!

Amazing place to eat. Food is fresh and healthy for adults and kids. We love the green juice and hibiscus iced tea. We always order pan seared tuna with roasted veggies, mashed potatoes and side of mix green salad. My child orders the grilled chicken, mashed and had the broccoli and it was delicious. Everyone is very welcoming and kind. We come from NY and have to stop by every time we are in California.

The salmon was delicious and the skirt steak was nice and tender. I also tried their green pozole and it was pretty good overall. Overall the dining experience was solid. I’d definitely come back here again and try their other menu items.

The place was clean and the employees were very nice and welcoming. We got the Salt and Pepper Chicken plate and Chipotle BBQ Chicken bowl. For beverages we got Mint Lemonade and Aqua Fresca (not sure about that one’s name). Food was very light and fresh and delicious. If ever I’m around Manhattan Beach, I’ll visit this place again. Top chef quality I got the harvest salad and substituted the chicken with trout and was in heaven don’t know when I last tasted trout as a menu option on a chain restaurant. The salad has apricots, blackberry, Pistachio, arugula leaves and at least 2 to 3 other leafy greens, goat cheese and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette . Total yum

I then moved to the South Bay and often ate at the Torrance location and this El Segundo location. They’ve been my favorite of all the branches. I’ve also had Tender Greens in several other LA branches, Santa Clara, and San Diego. I quickly reached the “Family Status” in the app, and two years ago I moved to Palmdale, where sadly we have no Tender Greens. When I drive back to LA, I have to stop by Tender Greens to get my favorite salad. Sadly, everytime i visit, I hear that a restaurant closed. I really hope that this El Segundo branch stays open for a very very long time. The Tuna Niçoise salad has been a gateway salad; a food I never ate prior to my infatuation with the restaurant chain. Since then I’ve chosen to eat salads for meals several times a week in my daily life, but no salad ever has been as tasty as the Tuna Nicoise from Tender Greens. The review is definitely a bit ranty, but I really wanted to express the impact the restaurant has had on my life. I wish all the success for you, and I hope you consider opening one in the Antelope Valley near Palmdale. Even opening one in Santa Clarita would be great. The community there is very health conscious, and it’s only 30 minutes from me.

This is a good place. Indoor and outdoor dining in a small stripmall with limited parking. The atmosphere is just ok, nothing too special, just nice. The food is good, albeit a little pricey (but what place isn't now a days). The service, well, that is a different story. There is a small, robust Hispanic waitress who makes the service experience miles above and beyond. I did not get her name (or maybe I did and forgot, I am terrible about that), but she was so amazingly polite, accommodating, responsive, and kind. She offered beverage refills, regularly checked on everyone on the patio and inside, and made sure we got all we needed to make this a pleasant dining experience. She should be commended for her exemplary level of service, and made me want to come back to the restaurant just for her.

Very good healthy lunch choice. I have not personally been at this location, but I have had their food via Postmates. They have a great selection of food options, depending on what you are hungry for. Its in a tight and popular area, so parking may be a bit of a struggle. The food always tastes fresh and well prepared. The pricing is pretty standard for a 'healthy' meal in the area, but you do get the right portion size so I can't complain too much. Not my first choice when it comes to an affordable, healthy lunch, but it is definitely worth it.

To be honest, I was expecting this place to be one of those overrated health conscious restaurants for hipsters, but I was surprised at the quality of the place and the taste of the food. There's an abundance of options to pick from and the service is pretty quick. I recommend getting the mashed potatoes as a side, and the plates are a filling meal. The only thing is the prices are a little high, but the surrounding area is pretty nice so they probably can't do much about that!

Excellent customer service, and amazing, fresh food. Steak melts in your mouth, and the veggies are the best veggies I’ve had at any restaurant. Free refills on aguas. Only down side is when you order to go, the food definitely not the same. The fried chicken could use more seasoning. Nice place for outdoor dining.

Just one detail I have seen, I don't know if it's only happened to me, but my food doesn't arrive hot as I like it, I don't know if they are very short of staff. But that Pacific Bowl is delicious, thank you very much.

Visited Tender Greens for the first time after 5 or 6 years. It was my first visit to this location. Previously have been to the one in Irvine. I ordered the Steak plate with side of brown rice and caesar salad. My colleague got the steak with the side of baby greens and baby spinach. The Steak plate is around $16 which is of course a good value these days. The server recommended medium rare, which is also how I usually order my meats. I was very disappointed as the steak was a bit tough and chewy and my colleague who had ordered it the same way was complaning as well. The side of the brown rice had a nice kick to it and I really enjoyed it. the plate is also accompanied by a pieace of garlic toast which was enjoyable. Will likely still visit this place as the food seems wholesome and the service is fast, however will stick to chicken or fish next time.

Great place with healthy tasty options, My only complaint is they don’t bust their tables. If you come in here every table is dirty and has dishes on it.

Cashless. Which means some older people can’t patronize, like my parents. This was a good excuse during the pandemic. Pandemic is over now. I came in on 5/10/2023 and ordered a grilled chicken Cobb. The lady at the counter was in training and didn’t respond when I said hi and asked how she was doing. She just blankly asked, “here or to go?” Not really a warm greeting. Would have been nice if she pointed out where the silverware and napkins were or at least acted like I was welcomed. I sat at the only two top that was available, the other open tables were all for larger parties. My table was dirty and was not wiped down. I wiped it off with a paper napkin. I got my salad really fast, which is great as I was on my lunch hour. But the salad itself was underwhelming. The ingredients themselves were top notch but the portion size was minuscule. The bacon was thick cut and nice and warm but I only had about 5 pieces of bacon. The blue cheese was yummy but I had exactly 3 small bits of it. Avocado was nice and ripe but, again, I only received 2 little chunks of it. Great, warm chunks of juicy chicken though. But basically I got a small plate of chicken chunks and lettuce. That plus my plain ice tea cost over $20 I don’t mind paying more for quality and service but I didn’t really receive either at this Tender Greens location. With lots of options for lunch in the area, this spot needs to up their game to entice me to come back.

This place has been getting progressively worse. I don’t understand how you can have a full kitchen and make undercooked, tasteless food. Roast potatoes tastes like they were a day old, salad was dry, steak portion was minimal. Oh and they now give you half a piece of bread… inflation?pure money grab.

I'd placed a phone order and repeated what I wanted twice. I ordered my meal well done and modified my side dishes. When I got to the restaurant and looked at the order it was completely wrong. The meat was rare and side dishes were done incorrectly. They had to remake the meal. When I got home realized the steak was still not well done it was medium well. The arugula was not fresh about a third of the salad had to be tossed. The staff was at best indifferent and didn't care that the meal was prepared incorrectly. This is not the first time this has happened. I looked at the order receipt and everything I had specified was not on the receipt. No special instructions, no modification. Called and spoke to the manager the next day who was supposed to refund my purchase. 3 days later that has not happened. I was also told I'd receive a call back. That also did not happen. Will no longer go to this location. Torrance location is much better they get your order right and they actually pay attention to modifications and requests.

We will no longer be returning. Which is a shame bc I really like the food. . . Should be easy and cheaper to make at home.
