We dined at Boa in Manhattan Beach and the overall experience was superb. We didn’t have reservations for Mother’s Day ( I recommend you make reservations) but they were still able to seat us. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and so flavourful. I recommend the Japanese wagyu, it was the best! Also the smoked bourbon was exquisite. We celebrated a graduation and Mother’s Day and they surprised us with dessert at the end of dinner and they were delectable! I wish I would’ve snapped more pictures. Our server Heather was very attentive and provided excellent customer service. The rest of the staff was great as well. The manager even stopped by to say hello! Can’t wait to return.
Australian wagyu filet ,cesar salad, mash potatoes, la quebrada drink, bomb !! Update: came back ordered bone marrow, cheesecake, Wagyu appetizer forgot the name. Everything was good.
Wow!! I am blown away by the food and service at BOA. I booked a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and I am beyond happy with our experience. The establishment has plenty of cute spots to sit at, whether it is a booth or table setting. Our server was named Oscar and he was phenomenal! We encountered 3 employees (idk what their role is in the restaurant) but they were all soo sweet and gave us great recommendations. Australian Waygu Ribeye - medium rare with truffle butter 5/5 sooo tender and melts in your mouth. The right amount of fat and the meat was cooked perfectly!This steak is huge! Between the two of us we couldn’t finish it Truffle Mac & Cheese 5/5 I’m a sucker for truffle and this didnt disappoint! I found myself going back for more portions of the mac throughout the dinner Roasted Bone Marrow 4/5 i wish the dish was less oily. The bone marrow paired nicely with the short rib and bread. The salad also added a refreshing touch. Chipotle Lime Corn 4/5 yummy! The flavors balanced each other out Sea bass 4/5 very soft and buttery. Knocking off a point for the portion being small but it is still delicious Toffee Cake 5/5 WOW this was delicious. The cake was warm and soft. The ice cream brought a great balance to the sweet treat I will be thinking of this dinner for a while. The hospitality of the staff is beyond amazing and they made our night so special!
We came to BOA for a girls night on our work trip and we were not disappointed! The drinks were great, the food was excellent and our server, Oz, was the best! Highly recommend the table-side caesar, and of course, the espresso martinis!! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Edgar was amazing!!! He was very knowledgeable, went over the menu with us, and he even gave some goodies as we had a bday celebration. Overall the entire team was great and made our experience was excellent one. We would highly recommended and cherry on top would be having him as a host.
My family and I had the prix fixe dinner here on New Year’s Eve and it was divine. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were surprisingly large. The music and decorations were vibrant and fun but also sophisticated. The servers were high spirited and very knowledgeable about the cuisine. My filet was so good I forgot to take a picture of it!
BOA Steakhouse in Manhattan Beach was absolutely phenomenal. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my mom, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated and thoughtful. The service made us feel truly celebrated. We visited on 12/13/25. The food was incredible. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, exactly what you expect from a high-end steakhouse and then some. It was one of those meals you’re still thinking about after you leave. Our server, Edgar A, was outstanding. His energy, attentiveness, and genuine warmth completely made the night. He brought such a fun, vibrant vibe to my birthday dinner and made the experience feel extra special. I truly appreciated him and wish I had the chance to thank him in person before leaving. The rest of the staff was also friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was classy, comfortable, and polished. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you are celebrating a birthday or special occasion. I will absolutely be back.
I can’t say enough great things about BOA Steakhouse Manhattan Beach and their incredible team. During the holiday chaos, I accidentally mixed up our reservation date for a 17-person group and we showed up a full day early. Instead of panic or frustration, the team absolutely crushed it. They quickly assembled a large table, printed menus on the spot, and delivered seamless, attentive service as if this had been planned all along. Every single person we interacted with was professional, kind, and solutions-oriented. What could have been a stressful situation turned into an outstanding evening. This level of hospitality is rare, especially during the busiest time of year. Huge thanks to the entire team for turning a mistake into an incredible experience. We’ll absolutely be back.
BOA delivered on every level. The drinks were great and paired perfectly with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the night. The staff were outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. One of the biggest surprises was the vegan Beyond steak option, which was absolutely phenomenal and easily one of the best plant based dishes I have had out. It did not feel like a bad first date, just a well executed, flavorful meal. In addition they have plenty of veg options that can be modified to vegan. Add in their impressive bourbon selection, with options for both casual sippers and serious bourbon fans, and BOA really stands out. Everything from the service to the food to the drinks came together seamlessly. It was a great time from start to finish, and I will definitely be coming back.

The service was really good from the hostess to the waiter to all the food servers were very friendly service . the lamb lollipop was spectacular. Very delicious. The Chilean Sea-bass was exceptional and very tasty.
James is the best waiter/Irish gentleman bar none. 🤩😍🤩 Our filet and ribeye steaks were top shelf. And the sticky bread pudding YUM‼️😋😋😋 We will be back‼️🤩🤩
The menu here is magnificent! The portions are huge! I didn't get a photo of the chicken parm but it was humongous! I enjoyed the crudo & baklava as starters. The Ceasars salad was also very delicious. Everything i show in my photos was outstanding. The atmosphere is beautiful as well.
The Baseline: For a Steak House Fine Dining experience, the steak must be of high grade prepared to how I order it, the seasoning/flavors must make me salivate for the meat, there must be side dish offering that accompanies the meat, and the experience must make me feel like I am a part of a special experience that is an incredible steak dinner. September 2025 Review: Food: I had a 12oz New York Strip tonight, marinated skirt steak and frites, and the 15 day dry aged ribeye. The steak is so good at BOA and it will be prepared how you like it (medium rare for the strip). Get the Crispy Tallow fries for an appetizer and you will be happy. I also tried the crab cake and I think I will pass on that in the future (because i am a Maryland Bluecrab snob). The loaded baked potatoes side dish can be a meal unto itself and is awesome. For desert the chocolate mouse is the primo chocolate decadence that we all deserve in life. Service: Great service from a truly professional staff that took care of you as you would expect from a fine dining establishment such as BOA. Water glass was constantly filled up. Ambiance: BOA is upscale and classy in its decor and lighting. Clean bathrooms but there is a massive tear in the wall paper by the urinal that needs repair. July 2025 Review: Food: I have been to BOA several times because my favorite food is steak. BOA does steak really well with an incredible crust and a well cooked to preference center (medium rare with all the care). Sides at BOA are top notch and the loaded baked potato is the size of my fist and then some. This time we also tried the cauliflower tempura which was tasty and pretty unique. The most amazing desert was the amazing chocolate mousse with the liquid chocolate pour (I hope it is on the menu forever). Service: Great service from true professional servers. Water glass was always full. All needs were taken care of. Ambiance: Modern feel and stylish decor that is upscale and classy. You will feel special for going to BOA for a date night. Clean bathrooms.
An absolute perfect place for a great steak dinner. My Dad took me to the Santa Monica one awhile back. The food was amazing and excellent service from Selena & Josh. The Manager Vinny was very gracious too. A must when you visit Manhattan Beach.

Food was delicious!! The baklava with goat cheese was super amazing. Center cut steak delicious and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. Our server Josh was super helpful! The only thing we didn’t appreciate is that one person of our party really wanted the burguer but restaurant wouldn’t serve it unless we sit at the bar. Disappointing as we all wanted to remain in the dinning area, while eating our other food.
I’m giving this spot 4 stars because the smash burger is simply chef’s kiss — juicy, perfectly seasoned, and paired with those crispy fries (no truffle oil for me, thank you very much). I usually order their Smoke Show cocktail, but this time I went classic with a Manhattan, stirred straight up — smooth, balanced, and exactly what I wanted. Service here is usually five-star, though I’ll be real — they do love an upcharge. $4 for two jalapeños? Wild. And $2 extra for truffle oil (which I can’t stand anyway)? No thanks. It’s definitely one of those places where the experience depends on your server — the female bartender can be a little heavy on the nickel-and-diming, but most of the other bartenders are super chill and welcoming. Still, despite the markups, BOA Manhattan Beach delivers every time — top-notch food, luxe atmosphere, and a killer burger that keeps me coming back.
A good time with friends. Ambiance is perfect! Drinks are delicious! Food needs improvement. Crab cake is full of bread crumbs and should definitely NOT be classified as a “Maryland Style Crab Cake”. The steak lacks seasoning and per the manager it’s some strange reason why they don’t season with the basic salt and pepper when cooking it. Service is impeccable! I love our waiter staff.
I wanted to share feedback on our recent dining experience, which was for a special family event. This is a great location for a special celebration or to walk in for a bite at the bar. From the moment we arrived, every staff member was very nice and polite. The entire restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, feeling like home with the added benefit of excellent service. Food and Drinks: - Cocktails: They offer a full bar, and the drinks featured on the menu were excellent. A Must, Order the Table Side Ceasar Salad the presentation was fun but the Salad was excellent. - Dinner: We ordered the Meat Tray to sample and share among four adults. The selected meats were all exceptional, full of flavor, and plentiful for our group. The sampler comes on a round wooden tray with three sauces (Chimichurri, Horseradish, and Peppercorn) and three varieties of salt all the meat is sliced for your convenience. - Side Dishes: The sides were generous enough to share; we enjoyed the Brussels sprouts and the spicy corn. We skipped both the appetizers and dessert, but overall, everything was excellent. While the meal was pricey, it resulted in a great evening with family. We look forward to visiting again.
