We had a party of 13 that wanted to come for lunch. We called 10 minutes before we arrived to see if we could be accommodated. They were wonderful! They set us up in a private room. The service was great from everyone. Compliments to Michelle our server and a special thanks to the chef . Everything was hot and to our liking. Thanks to the staff for all they did! What a great restaurant. Such short notice and they took care of us on such a sad day for us..we had just lost a loved one. Thanks for all you did for us.
Alton’s never disappoints! Food is great and the ambience is quiet, the staff is wonderful.
A nice surprise on our way through the area. Delicious food and nice quiet atmosphere. Would definitely detour off the Thruway to visit again.
Everything at Alton's restaurant is very delicious & the waitresses are always very friendly
Breakfast on Sunday mornings is always on point. Have been here several times in the past couple months and it's fast and delicious.
We stopped in for lunch today and wow what a delicious meal we had! So impressed with the outstanding service from our server Pat! She is such a doll! Awesome all around! A+ Altons on Transit in Elma NY!
Great family restaurant. Prices are reasonable. Service very good.
Excellent breakfast. Excellent and friendly service (Jenna).
We are from Rochester but Alton's is our favorite restaurant whenever we go to Buffalo!
We come to Altons every Sunday for breakfast. We love their menu and also the ability to do breakfast buffet. Definitely recommend. Shout out to one of our favorite waitresses Nicole.
We love love Altons. The wait staff is top notch. Food is delicious and always consistent. The Sunday brunch is really good and affordable. The atmosphere is very nice , always decorated beautifully and super clean. Thanks for always being there for us!!!
Large family gathering. Past Sunday. Just a home run , wonderful. , that simple , Shiela our server. EXCELLENT took pictures as well. Great morning. Thanks… till next time
One of my favorite places to eat lunch with my wife. I truly enjoy eating here, and the food is always AMAZING. For me, consistency is very important.
Confortable, clean environment, reasonable prices for excellent food, pleasant staff. Laura was attentive, professional & friendly... We always enjoy stopping at Alton's great food great service and plenty of parking....
Very diverse menu. Food is always good. Excellent casual dining at fair prices. Wait staff is attentive and very friendly.
Melaina the waitress was amazing! Our drinks were never empty our food was out fast and she kept checking in on us! 10/10 experience would definitely recommend this to friends and family!
We eat at Altons quite often usually breakfast or lunch and 99% of the time the food is very good. This morning we stopped for breakfast and as usual the food was very good, except for the home fried potatoes, possibly a different recipe or product than usual, but they seemed very dry, I didn’t care for them much.
Jenna did a wonderful job waiting on us. She was polite and provided excellent service. Good was delicious! One suggestion-add chocolate mousse to your dessert menu.
This rating is ONLY for Columns banquet area. Breakfast was great and hot. Service was wonderful.
Hi, I was really impressed with the remodeling of this restaurant. The decor and woodwork nicely done, we ordered take out, twice so far and the food was amazing, portion size is moderate and the prices are fair. It was clean and the staff were accommodating. They have a bar hidden in the back. We are definitely returning.
We love Alton's. . We can always count on quality food, atmosphere and service. Nicole did an exceptional job today . . She didn't miss a step and it was very busy. Great job Nicole We appreciate you.
Everything is excellent there, Sunday morning breakfast buffet is unlimited with such a nice variety of food. I think they have the best pancakes in this Western New York area. Very pleased with their service.
Gina was an absolute bundle of joy! Parents clearly raised a good noodle! Congratulations to them! This was by far the best service I have had in a while!
we had a great meal. Sheilall was a terrific waitress! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve been going to Alton’s for ages. I love their food. Their staff is always welcoming. Nice place. Had experiences with luncheons, showers and Mother’s Day brunch too. All delicious.
Great for comfort food. Nice senior menu too.
I've came here every time I'm in Buffalo. Can't get enough. The service is always wonderful, and the servers are always very informative of the menu. Their chicken lemon rice soup is to die for! My absolute favorite spot! Plus Jenny is one of the coolest servers I've met yet, and I travel all over for work! That girl is on top of it!
Natalie did a great job, and the food was spot on!! Thanks for a great dinner to cap off a great day.
The servers are all great. Food is fantastic. Sometimes it’s pretty busy and you gotta wait a little bit. But totally worth it.
My lunch, souvlaki melt was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and professional.
A group of 10 to 12 of us get together on Friday nights for dinner. They are always very accommodating at the Restaurant and the Food is tremendous. They have a variety of items and the menu from potato pancakes to fish fry dinners. The servers do an excellent job. I can’t say enough about how good this Restaurant is.
I've been wanting to try this restaurant, and we finally did. I chose the Chicken Souvlaki Wrap.i am very glad I did. It was delicious! Very generous portion. Dill dip. French fries for the side. I ate it all! I will return.
We love Alton's. Always good food that is fresh. We eat there often.
Our server was very attentive. And the food was absolutely delicious! It was very full of flavor and plentiful.
Amazing place , better then walden one , so much cleaner n more relaxing atmosphere..elma altons is 100% a good to , n everyone is so nice there
Great buffet. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Reasonably priced. Nicole did a great job serving us.
Alton’s has been one of our favorite places. The food is very good with a great variety to choose from. Tonight, our server, Lisa was just wonderful! She is kind, patient and we appreciated her and the service she provided! Thank you Lisa for being you!
We’ve been fans of Alton’s for years—used to go to their Walden Ave location all the time until we moved to East Aurora about 10 years ago. Now we visit the Elma location, and both spots are just as great! It’s a classic, family-style Greek restaurant with consistently delicious food. My go-to is the Greek dinner salad with chicken—so yum, especially with the dill sauce (my husband never skips asking for extra!). The spanikopita is always flaky and flavorful, and I can’t resist the rice pudding with whipped cream and cinnamon. Our son loves the chicken fingers and fries, and we’ve also had great luck with their online ordering—super smooth every time. Just a solid, feel-good place we keep coming back to.
Excellent food with a wide variety of choices. Breakfast anytime, great sandwiches, good selection of desserts.
Alton’s is a hidden gem, We love to come here. This time we were seated next to a very disruptive customer and the staff happily moved us to a better spot
The restaurant was clean and tidy. The staff were very attentive and courteous, and the food was absolutely delicious.
It was a free informational retirement seminar all the food was delicious. Really enjoyed the lemon/rice soup.
Our server Teddi was amazing. We luck out and get her almost every time! Great food and great service!
A wonderful restaurant. Great food and a nice, clean restaurant. Alicia, the person taking care of me, was very friendly and had a smile on her face. Took great care of me. Recommend this restaurant if in this area.
The food here is very good and the staff is always friendly. It's a good place to have a nice dinner without it breaking your budget
Food was great, our server Jen was even better. Being clumsy I spilled my soda onto my fries, I asked her for some napkins, she brought me back a clean plate and new fries also! The sweetest! We will be back!
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. My favorite place to eat and relax
We visited this location with our grandchildren while in Buffalo. The food and service were excellent. The prices were great and the atmosphere was beautiful. I can't wait to visit again.
It was great, the food was so good!!¡ The waitresses was warm and friendly. Perfect for a date night. All around a great experience. We will definitely be going there again soon .
I really enjoy this place. Great food great atmosphere friendly staff. Their breakfasts are delicious but my favorite is their chicken souvlaki it’s fantastic.
Omg, went to dinner here last night and our server Andrea was an absolute DELIGHT. She was super engaging with our table from the get-go, and went above and beyond to give me extras when I told her how excited I was for them (that dill sauce!!). She singlehandedly turned our casual family dinner turn into a really lovely and memorable experience! Also, hats off to the chefs here! I live out-of-town but insist on going for chicken souvlaki every time I come back to visit, and it NEVER disappoints. It's one of the few meals I grew up loving and hasn't gone down in taste or quality since I was a kid. Thanks for staying true to your roots, Alton's!
Their all you can eat Sunday breakfast buffet is extremely reasonably priced. Two adults and an early teen for under $50 including tax. While they don't have a huge selection of buffet choices, all the food is really high quality. I eat a pure carnivore diet and went away fully satisfied. The staff are very pleasant. You know the buffet plates are clean when they are very warm. 😀 We even went on a Bills game Sunday. It was busy. But we were seated pretty quickly for as busy as they were. We will definitely be back.
We've been dining at Alton's since they opened at this location and have never had a bad experience whether it's dinner, baby showers, bridal showers, the food and service are always excellent. I just picked up a takeout order and there was a mix-up which to delayed the order 15 minutes. I wasn't upset and the manager thanked me for my patience. As I was walking to the car he jogged out to take an extra step to make it right. It certainly wasn't necessary but this is what separates a good business from a great business. If you haven't dined here yet, you certainly should.
' To die for.' My favorite dish is the open plate chicken souvlakia, and they also have an option for a wrap. French fries right on, to rave for more. Senior meals are offered and price for meals are a very reasonable price. Quick simple meal, sandwich, cheeseburger, soup, salads are delicious. And great desserts.
The food at Alton’s is always exceptional and reasonably priced. One of the absolute best values is the Sunday Buffett at $16.99 which is terrific. A good selection of breakfast and some lunch time selections along with toast, dessert and coffee. We have always had an excellent experience at Alton’s. The servers are all exceptional, food is great and the atmosphere is very welcoming. You can’t go wrong here!!!
I had the most wonderful Caesar salad here today. Mounds of romaine lettuce, tons of fresh parmesan cheese, more than enough dressing, croutons, with a grilled chicken breast cut up on top! It’s been two months since I went to Alton‘s and was shocked at what was served as a Caesar salad. I have deleted that review and created this one. Alton's, thank you so very, very much for listening to your to your customers reviews. I am thrilled with the new Caesar salad. Planning to return many times. Please see & zoom on picture!
We had a fantastic lunch at Alton’s as always! Typically we order salads for take out and they are always good, but we decided to dine in today. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Andrea was so kind and attentive throughout our lunch. Very pleasant experience overall!
Heading home from short vacation, looking for a family-style restaurant for dinner. Passed many chain restaurants until finally spotting this nice looking place with many cars in their lot - Alton's Restaurant. We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess who led us to the outdoor seating area (our choice). The restaurant was busy, being a Friday, and there was plenty of staff working briskly to handle the customers' needs. Our server, Teddi, was fantastic! Though she was very busy handling multiple tables, she took the time to answer all of our questions, fully met all of our needs, and did it all with a very pleasant smile on her face. The menu had many selections and options. My wife and I shared the calamari appetizer and we each selected the fish fry entree which came with potato, coleslaw, and macaroni salad. Every bite was delicious. At many other places, items like coleslaw and mac salad can be bland and boring; not here! Each had a little something added that gave them a better flavor than you find at many restaurants. We were so glad to have come across this restaurant after passing by all of the chain places and pubs. If find yourself in the Elma area I highly recommend Alton's Restaurant.
Came here for breakfast with the family. The service was a little slow but it was pretty busy so I won't hold that against them. Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious! We wandered around back and checked out the banquet facility and it is beautiful here! We will be coming back for sure

Great steak solvaki salad my favorite.
My mother really enjoys dinner here, it's a great place to bring the family with a wonderful variety of dishes. Behind the main restaurant is a large area, mostly for banquets with huge tables. When there are no banquets they put the large groups there. The staff is very good and efficient. My favorite is the chicken parmesan, my wife generally gets an Alfredo meal and we split it.. The banquet facility is lovely, we take a lot of family get together photos in there...
We had the Chicken Souvlaki Ques. & Monday night chicken special. Great service and solid meals.
Good old Alton's. Still has a great breakfast at a reasonable price. A good "go to" for a good meal.
We had a wonderful time. Service was excellent.
Gave this spot a try and they did not disappoint. My wife loved the breakfast buffet.
The lettuce on my greek salad was a little old. Most was rusty from being cut with a stainless steel knife, not plastic. It wasn't very pretty, but it was good.
Stopped and the way to the Bills game and was very surprised to see breakfast buffet and price was 17 I believe. Came with beverage, toast, meat, eggs and much much more. Good price and love a good buffet. Very happy man. Buffet was a little smallish, although it had all the essentials the line was busy due to the size of the buffet. Food was good, no compaints there. Just can't give it a 5 star but great value, good food and will be back.
We like Altons very much, (we were going there every 2 weeks), until food became lower quality. We figure there may be new kitchen staff, but they really have to make better salads (like before). Their "famous" open chicken souvlaki salad had become a pile of old lettuce, with less chicken. I would love to order it again, if it's back to normal. (Hint: Salads have VEGGIES, besides lettuce). And 'Greek salads' should have: black olives, red-onion, chickpeas, feta, tomatoe, green pepper) Ladies know & love salads. The staff at Alton's Elma are great, and we always tip well.
A local favorite. Food is decent. Nothing special but good for a breakfast. The salads are good too.

Good restaurant but inferior chicken. This is a popular item in this restaurant so it should be returned to its original quality
I have been ordering from Alton's Elma for quite sometime. I typically order the Open Chicken Souvlaki. Not sure what happened these last few times but for almost $20 for a salad the portion size has really gotten smaller. The chicken is small, not a lot of lettuce or cheese like it used to be and I got 1 olive?! Disappointed to say the least
Steak was small & tough. My beef on Weck the roll was burnt. Who toasts a Weck roll? And the beef was not real roast beef. It was deli lunch meat. Service was a little slow. But she was nice. We will not be back.
Ordered a Philly sandwich, which I’ve had several times at the airport location. Here, it came without peppers or mushrooms and the portions looked thin, even the amount of fries that came on the side was pathetic. Showed the waitress, who offered to have peppers and onions brought (I don’t send back food), and she was nice. This location looks nicer but to served a skimpy $16 sandwich, I likely won’t be back.
We came in about 8 o’clock in the evening. We’ve always had a good experience at Alton’s. The food‘s always been good, but it was not good last night. My husband had a rubber sandwich masquerading as a Reuben, and he could honestly say it was the worst Reuben he ever had. I had spanakopita which I could not get my fork into cause it was so overdone. I had to scoop it up to eat it and it was very chewy This is never been our experience before at Alton’s. All I can figure is maybe because it was later in the evening.
We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. They were busy but we were seated quickly. Two of us requested the breakfast buffet, the other two ordered from the menu. The buffet was not worth the price. Although there was a large assortment, unless you have a huge appetite, one can only eat so much and you are probably better off ordering from the menu. I was hoping for fresh fruit and the only fruit that I saw available was canned mandarin oranges. The food itself was okay - average - nothing that had us say "wow, that's delicious, let's come back." but it does seem to be a popular place.
customer service was great, but my appetizer was never put it and then the roll i received was hard as a rock. so i wasn’t able to eat it. but everything else was absolutely amazing
our server was great. The food is great and the place is really clean.
Just ordered from the Elma location. We go there for takeout a lot. However, today, not only did they get one of my orders wrong, they left stuff out of my second order. I ordered a gyro wrap. They gave us chicken instead and no dressings with it. I ordered the lamp chop platter, which I always order, but they always miss something and it’s ALWAYS packaged differently and I never get a consistent amount. I ordered Greek potatoes as a side and I got two wedges. Plus, no pita or dressing. When someone orders only two items, it shouldn’t be that hard to get it right. Like most, I don’t have the time to drive home and discover that I just spent nearly $60 for two orders, only for them both to be wrong. Do better. You’re already expensive, so back up your prices with better service. Your food is always good, but there are other places.
Alton's has the best chicken Souvlaki in the area. My only issue is that I tried to place and order today (October 24th) and the phone kept ringing and ringing. I thought perhaps they were having i…
The service was great, ambiance was nice. Great menu with fair prices. Chicken quesadilla, chicken souvlaki, and hot roast beef sandwich all great choices.

Mediocre Open Chicken Souvlaki Highly disappointed in the $17 open souvlaki salad. Arrived to the table with one slice of a tomato, and two olives. The chicken was overcooked and dry. When the waitress returned to ask how everything was, I remarked that I would like more olives, could she bring us more olives? The waitress never returned. I understand that the price of food has gone up, but two olives really? And one slice of a tomato.! For this price point, they should be ashamed of themselves, and I will never return to Alton’s.
I ordered off the senior menu. I got the steak. It said 8 oz. No way near 8 oz. It was not medium and it was grizzly and thin. Hash browns were not to my liking either. Maybe I could give them a better rating if I ordered something else.
Clean and very good service. But food was disappointing. Small selection on breakfast buffet. Much like the free breakfast buffet in a hotel. Food not high qaity. Only fruit on buffet were a few peach slices, not what the menu implied. It was not worth the price we paid. Don't thin we will go back
We’ve dined at the Elma location for a decade or longer. Today, we phoned in three open chicken souvlaki orders for pickup, when usually we dine in. Having arrived home to open the packaging, we were quickly dissatisfied by the obvious reduction in the size of the salad and its contents…… Issue 1: Two orders didn’t include either tomatoes or olives in the salad. The salad with tomato had only one slice. Issue 2: The amount of lettuce was substantially reduced. The plastic container appeared to be 1/2 to 3/4 full. Issue 3: The amount of grilled chicken appeared to be smaller. The meal tasted fine, however we were charged regular pricing for what turned out to be a much smaller salad and lesser chicken. This is unacceptable business practice. I plan on placing this order in dispute with my credit card company. Get your ingredient mix right and give the customer the full and complete salad containing all the vegetables and protein which they are being charged for! Anything less, is unacceptable!

I have been coming here for years. I like the Rubin, well I use to like it. Just terrible. Who serves a rubin without sauerkraut!!! Sandwich was just awful. Most likely won't be back.
PLZ READ BEFORE GOING TO MOTHERS DAY BRUNCH !!! Came here once with friends/family and the buffet was 16.99 which isn’t my first choice but nothing to complain about. So I took my mom here for Mother’s Day…..she got the opened chicken sulvaki which I belive is 10 or 11.99 and water and I got the buffet which I thought would have been 16.99 per usual. Nope!! Got the bill for 78.16!!!! Mind you they had breakfast and lunch but the breakfast, which is what I had was exactly the same as the 16.99 buffet. Can’t believe they raise there prices more than double for the same mediocre food. Will not be returning. Especially during holidays. (Edit) apparently they had a prime rip there too I guess they charge you for food you arnt eating !
Terrible after being a loyal customer for years. The service and foods has hit rock bottom. Apparently the increase in the food costs have resulted in terrible food now being served After two most recent visits my advice is to never go back
40 years of eating here is ended. Stopped in with my family for my favorite breakfast and could not believe my disappointment. The Elma location has been nicely remodeled but the customer pays for it in the quality of the food. Two of us ordered the chicken souvlaki breakfast, which used to be extraordinary. Now it is more like pigeon souvlaki. The chicken pieces are so small. Being small they are terribly over cooked. Not worth returning to a place I have eaten hundreds of times. Just a question too, when did "of course" become an appropriate response to thank you. Does that mean of course you should thank me. The wait staff needs training in basic manners
Beautiful restaurant but a complete rip off i ordered a country omlete and My girl ordered a turkey egg bacon melt she literally had a have a piece of bacon on each side of the sandwich the home fries were the worst ive ever had in my life and the omelet was just as bad completely flat barely any of each ingredient. I will never eat there again and I recommend no one eat there too because they are ripping people off just to save a buck or two, actually shows in the food.
I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy! The stake was tough as leather shoe my veggies were cold and the salad Lettie was old! This was such a disappointment!
My wife and I came here for a fosh fry during lent. I can honestly say this was the absolute worst fish I've had. Fish was supposed to be beer battered haddock. What we got was a thing 1/4 in peace of greasy fish that tasted nothing like haddock. The sides were horrible too. Worst fish fry we've ever had. Don't waste your money on this junk. There's so many better places for fish fries!
Had the beer battered haddock fish fry. What a waste of $18.99. The smallest, thinist 1/4 inch thick piece of fish we ever had in Buffalo. The sides weren't even good. Spoke to the manager about the fish even being beer battered or was it pre-made frozen fish. Tasted like frozen Gordon's fish sticks. Altons has raised their prices which is understandable with the current economy BUT they've decreased quality and quantity of their food. We'll tell our family and friends to avoid having a fish fry dinner here. There's so many better restaurants in Buffalo that have also increased prices but maintain quality of the food. Unfortunately Altons has become a total rip off. We would not recommend!!
For the past few years, I have frequented Altons for pick up orders as they had good food for decent prices. Always tipped 10-20% even with them not waiting on me. A couple months ago I ordered a roast beef sandwich that their menu clearly states is served with french fries. I was disappointed to find my order came with no fries. When I called them to ask why, the girl told me that “we don’t give fries unless you ask for them.” They charged me the same price as was on the menu and kept the fries. This is a pretty interesting way to save money for a restaurant of Alton’s caliber. I asked the girl to have a manger call me to inquire about this policy and a refund for the fries. No one called for a month. I called again to ask the manager about this policy and for a refund for the fries. Still have not had a resolution. The manager is seldom in the restaraunt and is apparently a ghost. I just decided to try them again after months: lettuce, tomato, pickles were missing from a burger and they put 2 thin slices of turkey on a turkey sub.
Ordered a steak at this restaurant medium steak came out well done sent it back. Everyone I was with finished their meal. Another one came back the same way Notified the manager, he said he could not do nothing about it because it was a $20 steak and they won’t take that off the bill. He notified the owner who is in the kitchen. They said he would come out when he had time out of the hundreds of people, they take care of each day. They’re gonna have this much issue with a $12 piece of meat and make me sit there whenever everyone was done eating long ago now they’re waiting for me to see the owner who didn’t wanna come out right away. The manager says he was unable to take that off the bill. He was not authorized ever to do such a thing I mean what’s going on there the place is packed all the time bad service from the owner that says it all I would not recommend this place if he can’t resolve a $12 steak issue they were acting like it was hundreds and hundreds of dollars to remove that from the bill. I don’t recommend any senior citizens going there because you’ll get this kind of treatment. I’m sure they’ll have something totally different to say about this but this is the case that we experienced.
I spent $61.61 here on two chicken souvlaki salads that came with HAIR, BROWN LETTUCE, and the container was completely water logged. They also forgot my French fries and extra pita. This was truly a horrible experience and when I called they said they would “let someone know” Truly unbelievable.
Not fine dining but a consistently decent diner to get a bite. Today’s experience was darkened the protestors standing on the curb in front of the store. I realize Alton may not have anything to do with the protest, but it’s not a good for them - and they didn’t appear to be very concerned about it. I won’t eat there anymore.
