Our family of 10 came here to celebrate my cousin’s birthday, and the experience was mostly wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful, including the outdoor seating, and the food was delicious, everything we tried tasted amazing. The only downside was the wait time, which was quite long, and our server occasionally forgot about us. However, when he did check in, his service was great.
Stone Brewing is a must-visit in San Diego. As a big fan of their beers, I stop by whenever I’m in town. The outdoor seating is a highlight—it has a relaxed, camping-like vibe that makes it easy to unwind. I just wish I could drink their Salt & Lime beer all the time—it’s that good.
They say location is everything but I would say atmosphere wins overall. This location is in an industrial business park but once you enter the space Stone has created is unique and relaxed. A combination of outdoor and indoor areas with super high ceilings to provide a sense of spaciousness. The food was great, the salad i chose was very healthy, the superfood salad, with a side of grilled salmon. There was a lot of whole lettuce leaves as a bed, which were not very easy to eat, so it looked huge when it arrived. I would have preferred a smaller serving with all components ready to devour. The beer was great, as expected as well as very attentive staff.
The burgers are definitely their specialty. If you're into beer, you'll love it here since they have a ton of options. Plus, the outdoor seating is easily the best part of the place.
Outstanding customer service, beers taste amazing, and the food quality is off the charts. Shout out to Thomas for helping us out and making sure everything was great. Cant wait to come back
An absolute great vibe here!! My brother and I sat at the bar inside and had amazing service all around. Conor was very welcoming and pick amazing beers for my brother's flight. Adam was very attentive and got us water, and had the extra touch by asking if we wanted lemon in the water and if we wanted a straw. Sampson delivered the food that we ordered. My brother got the Bavarian Pretzel burger (I forgot the actual name) it came with pickles and he hates them. For this instance he said it absolutely completed the whole taste of the burger. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken and I was absolutely blown away. If it weren't for the fact I had to leave to work I definitely would've spent more time here. Absolutely coming back for a more in depth experience.
Great place for a beer and food. With covid precautions they had a QR code to order food and beer, which once this is all over I hope they keep because you don’t have to wait for your server to come by to order anything. Even with that, there was still servers periodically coming to check on us, including one dude who kept asking if we wanted tasters and even brought us some with asking (awesome). There was kids running around like it was a park, which it’s not, even though it looks like park and that was annoying, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Plus their swag section is dangerous, either be ready to plop down some coin or walk through there with a blindfold on.
I had such a wonderful experience here with my wife today. We started our day with a brewery tour. We got to start our day with a Berliner wiese. We crawled through the brewery, bottling/packing area. We finished the tour with three more samples. Following that the wife had reservations at the Bier garden which was just fantastic. We sat outside and what a beautiful experience. The temperature was just right, ambience was perfect. We had a stellar server who was just so attentive, helpful and kind. She made excellent suggestions, had a warm personality and was thoughtful and very customer focused. Wife and I ordered their garlic beer cheese soup to share. The sausage kraut plate, fried creamer potatoes and braised pork belly with garlic fried rice. Eyes were way bigger than our stomachs. We stopped at their gift shop and got a couple items. It was a wonderful experience, one I won't forget.
It's been a while since we were last here but hubby and I had date night last night. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. I had the Barramundi and hubby had the Katsu Chicken salad. We shared the mac and cheese appetizer. He also had a flight of ambers and lagers. I'm disappointed that they don't brew their own sodas anymore. I especially liked their spicy cola and root beer. They have Swell Soda, which was ok...too syrupy sweet for me
This brewery is one of the most beautiful places I've been to. The food was delicious and the outside patio and garden is just heavenly. This is a place that you can take some friends out to drink, or it's a place you can take a date to enjoy a peaceful meal. I highly recommend visiting this place as its visually appealing.
02.14.25: Yes, the opportunity to have Valentine's Day dinner worked out well. Having the short rib was excellent. Ending with Apple cobbler also was excellent. No words to explain the Brussels sprouts - just try and eat them as you will enjoy. Birria sandwich also amazing and one-off meal to try. I have been here many, many times, yet now is the time to write up a review. Clearly this is the go-to spot for choice brews and fine dining. I can't say anything bad about the food or brews because there is nothing bad to say. Meals are fantastic, with a large selection of brews to pair. Anyone afraid or traumatized by vegetables will not be disappointed here. Share or have your own plate - either way, the venue is excellent for gathering with friends or family
This brewery is outstanding. The staff are professional, courteous, and welcoming. The beer is perfectly chilled, and the food is excellent. I highly recommend taking the brewery tour, it’s well-organized and informative. The facility is exceptionally clean, and the outdoor garden area provides a pleasant space to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
It was my first time here and my wife’s second time. She fell in love with he place and wanted to bring me here. From the outside, the place looked just like any nice and clean commercial building. Upon entering the whole atmosphere changed. The lobby welcomes you with a nature outdoorsy feel with rocks and water. The outside courtyard area was even more inspiring. There was greenery, stone and wood everywhere. The stream was filled with healthy Koi fish that my sons love. All they wanted to do was hang out by the Koi pond. The staff is very welcoming and casual. The food tasted great. My favorite dish was the adobo pork belly plate and baked brussel sprouts. Since it was a brewery, I had some tasters of some of their in house beer. I forgot the name of it but I liked the chocolate flavored one. After lunch, we just hung out in the courtyard and let the kids play and run around with some of the other kids that were there. I’m glad I visited this place and I will definitely come back with friends and family.
Everything about this place is wonderful….good service, very high quality food (and apparently many ingredients are sourced locally), great beer, and really nice environment. Definitely a step above the standard brewery. This is always a mandatory stop when visiting from Vegas multiple times a year. We have lots of merch that we have brought back to Vegas at this point…
Wow!!! That’s all I can say is WOW! The scenery is just stunning. It is an expansive area, lots of elevation changes so while I bet there could be hundreds of people dining, it manages to still feel pretty intimate. The make your own flight was spectacular since you don’t have to have what they picked. It was interesting to order all our food online and yet still be asked to tip. The server delivered food. That was it. I can’t say I was tickled about that. But certainly would come back again.
The restaurant is beautiful, inside and out. I wonder if Stone has a new chef because their menu offers new delicious 🤤 food! I was very impressed with their vegetarian dishes. Our party had poke nachos, Chinese stick ribs, veggie empanadas (my favorite) and Impossible Bolognese Rigatoni, among other dishes. You will have a good time here. I can't wait to go back! #msperatv
Fantastic beer and food, what more would you ask for? The tap room and store is amazing where you can grab a 22oz bomber all the way to a growler. The beer is fresh and the barkeep is knowledgeable. Also, if you want a bite to eat or just stroll through a scenic trail with a beer in hand, then this is the place you’ll fancy. Enjoy! 🍺
There is nothing that will disappoint you about a visit here. Stop by the shop for merch, bottles, cans, or growler fills. Step into the restaurant and pull up a stool at the bar for one of Stones beers, seltzers, or signature cocktails. Be sure to sample the beers on tab that are brewed at Liberty Station and Escondido. Want to sit and enjoy a meal grab a table to sit inside or out. The QR code ordering is the future and it makes the experience memorable. Gone are the days of long wait times on the one staff person to stop by to get your needs. Order on demand and delivery is so prompt. You get multiple team members inquiring as they pass by if you need anything. A+ for the service, setup and atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. Be sure if you're going during prime dinning times to make a reservation. If you don't and have a bit of wait time head into the store. You can sample beers there that you may or may not be able to get in the restaurant.
Boys day after golf. Typical fall afternoon in SoCal seated outdoors with wonderful food and drinks. Service was great, albeit just a little slow. Great menu, amazing location... can't wait to go back!
Stopped in for lunch on my last day on a recent trip to San Diego. The place is very nice inside and out. The food was great. I had a brisket sandwich with an apple slaw. I also tried steak tartare for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. Of course the beers were amazing. I stuck with the lighter styles but I sampled 6 and they were all very good.
Such an awesome atmosphere. Inside and outside looked so awesome. Lots of space. Loved all the decor and the layout. Food and beer were good. Ordered the Stone Violetta iris milkshake and Double Crunch Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. The fried chicken had the perfect crispness and the bun was so soft. My drink of choice was good and the hint of vanilla in it was perfect. Also got the pineapple upside down cake for dessert which was ok. Not a lot of parking but we came when they first opened on a Friday. As we were leaving it started to get busy. So come early!
Accessibility: there are accessible/handicap parking spots in front of the front entrance to the building. There are also parking spots next to this for charging electric cars. There is a ramp to get up onto the sidewalk in front of the front entrance also. The doors to enter the building are pull doors and from there it is all flat ground (except for going into the outside gardens where there are stairs). It is chilly inside because of the stone building so bring a light sweater. There are larger, Wheelchair accessible stalls in the bathrooms; the doors to enter the stalls are heavy metal doors so push firmly to enter....I saw others not push hard enough and think they were occupied when they weren't. Experience: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A TABLE ONLINE...DO NOT WALK IN AND HOPE FOR A TABLE. I made an appointment online, came early, and still waited 45 minutes to be seated. They were very understaffed, even on a weekend. The female employees were all really nice though! They are dog friendly (you have to sit outside though if it's not a Service dog). My favorite beer was the Julian Black and Blue..fruity and GREAT. Quick points: Mostly accessible, make an appointment for a table online, don't just walk in. Dog friendly, LGBT friendly.
Bottom line: Stone Brewing Escondido is worth the trip, and there is nothing else like it in San Diego County. Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent atmosphere. If you're in town as a tourist, on a business trip, or a local visiting is worth your time. The entire property is great to walk around. There is a grove below the restaurant that is amazing to go walk around and find a place to hang out with a beer. You can hear the frogs in the evening. It's a wonderful place to feel connected to nature in a very industrial area. There is outdoor seating, indoor seating, outdoor bars, indoor bars, and party venues for hosting events. It's a great place to bring a whole family or have dinner with lots of friends. Also, it's a great place for date night. The bar area is open seating. There are tables that can accommodate up to 4 and a large bar top area. The main dining area is by reservation or walk up availability. When you sit down in the restaurant, you can order on your phone or from a waiter as needed. The staff is always attentive and helpful. There are more menu options on their on line menu than the printed one. The beer taps rotate often. It's great if you love variety, they always seem to have their staple beers on tap, like Buenavesa, etc. If you really like one of their rotating taps, I suggest getting a crowler sine it will not be there the next week, but will return at some point in the future. Surprisingly, they have not lost the craft beer feel and quality. This location has TONS of parking. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance right up front, as well. The regular parking up front is limited. But just north of the building, there is a huge parking lot. However, it really can be busy.
Everytime we're in this area, we eat here. It never disappoints. They just changed their menu in April 2019...still very delicious (and the pretzel is still available!)! The jalapeno cheesecake...eh, it was unique. Wouldn't get it again. But everything g else...Five stars each for atmosphere, food, and service!
✌🏼 🌿Stone Brewing World Bistro 🍽️ 🪴 Lunch at Stone Brewing was a total win! 🤤 While the service wasn't anything to write home about (to be fair our waiter had a ton of tables🧂), the 🤘🏼vibe and stone 🪨🗿scenery in addition to the company of my family members totally made it 💯!! The food was overwhelmingly wonderful- seriously delicious dishes that had my family enjoying every bite! The patio area was super chill and relaxing - not flashy, but absolutely perfect for a laid-back family outing. Loved how we could just kick back, catch up and enjoy some quality time together while delighting our taste buds!! 👨👩👧👦low-key, tasty dining experience! 🍴✨ 🙌🏻🥇Highly Recommended: KUNG PAO CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS, MUSHROOM 🍄 ASADA 🌮 , CHICKEN 🍗 TINGA 🌮 , KATSU CHICKEN SALAD 🥗, STONE PRIME RIB BEEF 🥩 DIP 🥈Also Recommended: BURRATA & TOMATO 🍅 ANTIPASTO
The place is a little difficult to see/find from the road. After walking through a tree covered path and entered the door to the brewery, I felt like I walked into another world! Because we arrived before rush hours, we were sat down quickly and even had a choice between inside/outside seatings. Too bad that there was a private event that day and we didn’t get to check out the garden area. It just mean we will have to go back again. Quality of service: great Quality of beer: excellent Quality of food: yummy
We visited this beautiful brewery for beers and dinner after arriving in Escondido. We got a table outside and the gardens were amazing! Fire pits and heaters kept us cozy as we enjoyed several selections of their excellent beers. Our waiter was very attentive and even brought us some samplers (on the house). I had the stout and Red Ale and they were both excellent. We had the Italian meatball appetizer and that was perfect for the three of us and really delicious! The fish and chips dinner was delicious and filling! Good sized portions and well prepared. My wife had the Magyu Luxe burger and loved it. It was cooked perfectly. My daughter really enjoyed the crispy fish sandwich as well. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing, casual, and beautiful dining experience.
Excellent experience. Quick wait for a table that went faster than expected. Our group shared a bunch of dishes and everything was excellent (birria tacos surprisingly great!) They have lots of drink options for non beer drinkers as well.
This may have been one of the best dining experiences me and my wife ever had anywhere. All of the staff we encountered on our visit was absolutely amazing with a shout out to Orion he made it very special for us and we thank him for it. The garden was absolutely beautiful to sit in at dinner, and the food was 10 out of 10.
We stopped by for drinks before our dinner reservation, bringing our dog along. The place is spacious, offering both indoor seating with high ceilings and outdoor seating with heater lamps, a large garden, and even a koi pond – especially charming at night with the fairy lights. They also have their beer-making equipment on display. Our drink choices were: - Julian Hard Cider Apple Pie Cider - Stone's Mango Michelada Both draft beers were enjoyable, which seems to be their specialty. To accompany our drinks, we ordered some light snacks: - Stone Mac n Cheese - Fries - A puppy meal made with quinoa, pumpkin, and meat We liked the Stone Mac n Cheese and the Stone's Mango Michelada. Our dog definitely enjoyed his meal! The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. If we hadn't had dinner plans, we would've stayed longer. Nonetheless, it gives us a reason to return and explore their food offerings next time.
Beautiful space inside and out with ample indoor and outdoor seating. We came for the brewery tour and stayed for dinner. Our tour guide was excellent and engaging, leaving ample room for questions. We had a reservation afterward and we seated with minimal waiting. Despite being outdoors on a colder evening, enough heating lamps to keep our group warm. A few tips on food: tacos are great the flights are more like 4 half pours . Be careful
I love this place. The beer, of course, is fantastic. That goes without saying since it's probably why you're coming here. But the food is amazing too; and the environment... stunning. The garden is beautiful. It is so relaxing to sit in this little slice of paradise and unwind with your family and friends. This was our second visit and Ashley helped us this time. (We live in Las Vegas by the way and these visits were not during the same trip. This is practically a vacation destination in and of itself to us). Ashley was just amazing. Super friendly, great beer suggestions, and when I ignored her when she told me the short rib grilled cheese sandwich was rather hot, she kindly brought me ice cream to quench the flames so I could at least finish one half of it. (It's called Hellfire Cheese for a reason folks. It was really good but ++REALLY++ darn hot, for me at least). The Duck Al Pastor tacos that my wife got were both delicious and, as a bonus, didn't try to melt my face. The desserts are fabulous too. How does Blueberry Blue Cheese Jalapeno Cheesecake sound? A little funky you say? It is. In a good way. How about salted caramel cookie ice cream sandwiches? They are absolutely perfect after trying hellfire cheese for the first time, believe me. Or don't believe me. Just come try it for yourself.
This is not just a dining place, this is an experience to remember 😀 ... you can plan a half day outing here with kids ! The garden is spread in a big area with nice lighting and landscapes. It also has a small creek style water body. Lots of space for group parties !! Food : Fairly enough options for vegetarian people. I would recommend "kung Pao Crispy Brussels Sprouts", goat cheese salad and wild Mushroom Pasta ! We were there from noon till 5 PM and it was crowded every single moment !
Stopped here to taste some beers and enjoy dinner. What a great place! Our bartender was terrific and offered us a sample before taking our order. We had dinner outside. Was a cool night but the space heaters made it very enjoyable. The food was amazing I had the Norris tacos which were excellent. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
We did the Monday 2:00 PM tour on 2/23 and unfortunately didn’t catch our guide’s name, but we do know he’s from Dallas — and he was hands down the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He didn’t just walk us through the space — he truly educated us. He broke down every step of the brewing process in a way that felt structured, intentional, and easy to follow. From how the beer is made to how it moves through each phase of production, he explained it all so clearly. What really stood out was how he described flavor profiles and tasting notes. He connected different components of the beer to examples of beers we’ve personally tried, making everything relatable and memorable. It wasn’t surface-level information — it felt like a masterclass in brewing and tasting. You can tell he genuinely cares about beer and about giving people a meaningful experience. If you’re booking a tour, I hope you get lucky enough to have him. Absolutely 10/10.
We took their 4pm brewery tour on a Sunday afternoon and learned a lot about their new making process and the company itself. The tour starts in their little gift shop where you will pay for your tour. It's $15/person with tastings. Or $5/person for those who won't be doing the tastings. We got to do tastings of the beer through the process. It was very interesting! It is also very noisy in the facility. They do give you ear plugs so grab one just in case. The tour takes about an hour and ends back where we started. With a farewell toast, you are gifted a small souvenir cup filled with one of their beers on tap. We made dinner reservations for after the tour in advance. We told the hostess at the bistro before we checked into our tour that we will be on the tour in case we run over. Which we did but the great hostess had our table ready when we finished up our brewery tour.
This is a really nice beer garden!! Hidden gem 💎 ✨️ The seating area inside the garden in the middle is the best! Highly recommend reservation if you would like to get a good seating spot. Their customer service is excellent. Their food is delicious, fresh ingredients, and very tasty. Their beer flight is plenty, and you get to taste most of their delicious beers. Highly recommend. They also have another location in San Diego downtown.
Amazing brews and their food selection is second to none. Where else can you get Philly cheesesteak egg rolls? Amazing when you pair this with your favorite Stone or Sapporo brew. I tried their Ahi Tuna Bowl given the rolls were enough for two people to share. I have to say the combination of the dressing, the sesame seeds and Wakami makes this salad a must have. All the flavors go so well together with the glaze and the tuna as the main protein. Add the excellent customer service by the hospitality team members and you have a perfect recipe for an amazing experience! Just so you, you can walk in into the bar and they also have open seating with tables that fit as many as 6 people comfortably. Ask the front desk team for options and they will let you know what they can do for you and your party. One thing i love about the Bistro in Escondido and Liberty station is that they are not afraid to bring new entrees to the table. Every dish feels like it’s personally made for you. Highly recommend you give this spot a try ildueing your next visit to San Diego. Two locations available. The main bistro is in Escondido and the second location is in Liberty Station. Both locations are amazing, with plenty of parking, wide selection of beer and are family friendly. Kudos to the Escondido Bistro Hospitality team and our brewers for the amazing experience!!
Here’s a polished Google-style review with everything included: --- Stone Brewing was an awesome experience from start to finish. The brewery setting was beautiful with a great ambiance. It was spacious, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying good beer. The servers were friendly, attentive, and made the visit even better. The beer lineup was perfect. We tried the Stone Michelada Mango, Hazy IPA, Oktoberfest, Garden Crusher, Zombie Love, and Les Trenches, every single one was on point. The food was just as impressive. We ordered the nachos and tacos, and both were delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Overall, an amazing spot with excellent drinks, great food, and outstanding service. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend! 🍻
I went to this brewery for the first time some 10 years ago and recently visited it again. It is a really amazing place to spend time with friends and family and have great food. I do not drink but have heard that their beer collection is awesome. The place is huge and they have a great number of tables. The backyard is an open space with a small pond with fishes and some open areas to hang out. We went there a couple of weekends ago and had burgers, Mac n cheese, bread and salad. All dishes were perfectly made. No complaints whatsoever. Will surely visit again.
We absolutely loved it here! The staff were friendly and attentive and the indoor and outdoor spaces are so tastefully done. A true ambiance all around. Our drinks and food were great. We had the opportunity to sit by the koi pond which was an added bonus. Tip: make a reservation online In advance; if you want to sit in the garden ad a special note on the reservation. We will definitely be back!
Visiting Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens was a truly delightful experience. We chose to sit in the garden area, and it turned out to be the perfect decision. The atmosphere of the garden area was relaxed, inviting, and a great setting to enjoy the meal. We were greeted promptly at our table and placed our drink orders right away. For food ordering, we were given the option to use the QR code on the table or wait for our server, which was convenient. Our server, Sam, was friendly, attentive, and greeted us with a warm smile. We started with the Burrata & Tomato Antipasto, which arrived quickly and was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavor in every bite. For the entrée, I ordered the Birria Melt, and it did not disappoint. It was generously filled with tender, flavorful shredded beef and perfectly gooey with melted cheese. The birria consommé served on the side for dipping was outstanding. From the atmosphere to the service and the food, everything about our visit was fantastic. I’m already looking forward to returning.
Tonight we’re staying in Escondido so we can take Maloo The Mini Aussie to his sheep herding class tomorrow. We decided to check out Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens. Not only was this place absolutely breathtaking, but the food was delicious, the beer was great, and it was a dog friendly restaurant with a dog menu. We highly recommend checking this place out if you have the chance to.
This place takes you to a different world once you step inside. There's beautiful water fountain and outdoor seating with string lights. I came with a group of friends and had a great time with so many drink and food options choose from. Brussels sprouts, nachos, burrata we're some of the dishes were tried and they were all amazing!!
Whenever we are in the area, this is one of our favorite spots to swing by to find a spot and relax for a bit. The vibes here are always great and sitting outside is where it’s at. We love that it is so convenient to order from your phone wherever you end up finding yourself, so you are always in reach of finding your next drink.
Stone brewing is one of my favorite breweries in the country and we always grab a drink and some food when in town. The restaurant/brewhouse are huge with indoor and outdoor seating with some of the seating being first come first serve. I love trying the new experimental beers at this location, some are amazing and I wish they’d keep them on the list! The Chicken Parm Supreme may have been one of the best chicken parm sandwiches I have ever had. I loved the taste of the sauce and the crispy sub roll that it was served on. Their tacos are all phenomenal, I suggest trying a few different tacos together. The only thing not pictured that we loved was the cheesesteak egg roll, I wish I had a photo of it because it was great!
Such an amazing place, Antonia and I believe it was Rihanna took care of us our entire visit. The drinks were good especially the micheladas, the atmosphere is perfect, and warm with the heaters, and it was a perfect date night spot. I’ll definitely be coming back. 10/10 would reccomend
I've known about this spot for years, located up north from our home, and we finally made the trip (totally worth it). The place is beautifully set up with a garden-style seating area that gives off a relaxing and laid-back vibe. The prices are more than reasonable: most food plates are under $20, and the beer is a steal — $3 for 5 oz, $6 for 9 oz, and $9 for 15 oz. We had the hamburgers, and they were perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. Personally, I love their stout beer. All around, it was a great experience. It's definitely worth the drive, and I highly recommend checking out Stone Brewery if you’re in the area or even if you have to go a little out of your way.
What an incredible experience! The location is gorgeous. Everyone was great. Our server was Thomas and he was absolutely brilliant. Making great suggestions for beers to try after taking time to talk to us and get to know our likes and dislikes. If we asked a question he didn’t know the answer to, he reached out to others to get the answer. Food and beer were yummy. Excellent service ! 🍺
Stone staff always deliver. Picked up a “self service” table on the dog friendly patio. We had 2 managers stop by and check on us and our dog. Offered water and a dog biscuit. Very excited to see our dog. Drank 2 delicious beers, shared the Cheese Steak Egg Rolls and the Wagyu burger. Everything came out perfectly. Staff checked on us even though we didn’t have a server. Appreciated the option to order through website so we could be in-out without any fuss (not saying servers are fuss, just simple in/out and we can checkout simply). Been to Stone several times and it’s always been pleasant. Can’t ask for anything more - has always been world class. Even the brewery in Berlin was the same.
Awesome brewery. Kind of hidden with no obvious external signage, but the interior is huge and spacious, able to accommodate a lot of guests. Beautiful layout and very cool place to just hang out with friends. Very reasonable prices, only $3 for most 5oz pours, allowing you to sample a decent number of beers for a low cost. All the beers I had were good, being a light beer drinker I recommend buenaveza, garden crusher, cliche. Food is delicious, especially buffalo wings, fish & chips, brussels sprouts, burgers, and several other foods we ordered. Only wish they had a location in CO!
Best brewery garden in world. Love the rocks, bamboo, water features, tasty food, easy app for ordering and of course the beer. Perfect for a large group of all ages and celebration’s. Food exceeds my expectations for a brewery restaurant. Very happy group. App was much appreciated to avoid the pain of splitting a big bill.
Great location with easy access and parking. Beautiful interior seating, some with views of the brewery. Great outdoor seating too. Very friendly and helpful employees. Extensive beer selections, many made on site. The food selections were so good that it was difficult to select something. My wife ordered Stone Tangerine Express Hazy IPA and Blackened Salmon which she described as "buttery". I selected Stone Delicious Double IPA and Fish and Chips which is just right breaded. They also have beer that is fermented in a manner that breaks down and removes gluten, rendering gluten levels so significantly that the beer qualifies as a “gluten-reduced” ale per the FDA. We were given a taste, and want to try it the next time that we are in Escondido.
Such a beautiful location! You wouldn’t know it if you have never been there. It’s like a tropical paradise! There are trees, a stream and little waterfalls. Beautiful for pictures and dates. They do events as well! I definitely recommend getting a reservation or going early. They do have space and tables in the bar area. But if you go later, you might have to wait for a table, even in the bar area. They get really crowded. There is tons of space and even areas to walk around. Nice to have that kind of space for kids too. I love a good beer flight and they didn’t disappoint! OMG the salad with berries and filo bread was amazing 🤩 We will definitely be back!

This was our second visit First visit was great, we liked it so much we made a special trip to visit again. This time our visit was troubled. everything we ordered took 30 minutes to get to us from the kitchen and the testaurant wasn't even busy. We also were surrounded by three families with small screaming out of control children. not the brewery's fault but it really spoiled our experience.
My friend and I went to Stone Brewing World and loved it! It is gigantic and has both indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend making a reservation because it can get a little busy around dinner time. We both ordered the steak frites and hard cider. The steak melts in your mouth and the parmesan fries are awesome, I would highly recommend. There is a neat gift shop as well. Stone Brewing World has something for everyone! A lovely night out and I would return
I went here after a round of golf and had to take my wife back to enjoy the garden. We took the tour which was worth it, just remember to take your walking shoes. Our tour guide was great and very informative. Grab dinner here and grab your beer and check out the garden. You can find a spot next to the waterfall with wooden chairs. Food is a bit pricey for bar food but worth it as it is delicious.
A beautiful venue, a true beer garden! The vibe is relaxed and not too busy during the week. We went on Monday afternoon and sat down right away. Kid friendly and they have a cool little gift shop at the front too. Love the salt and lime lager! Bought a case before we left. They ship all across the US as well so if you are across the country you can still enjoy Stone beer! I think the beer was better than the food to be completely honest. The food was good but it lacked some flavor. Still going back any chance I get!
Beautiful interior, have yet to enjoy the gardens. Food and drinks a little on the pricier side but great pairing options. Beer flights are a great way to taste a variety of what they have. We also tried the Mac n Cheese with Bacon (could have used a litte more bacon) and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. The sandwich was delicious but honestly could do without the cilantro. I tried a bite and ended up picking them all out. The chips served with it were so amazing that I ended up ordering an extra bowl of it on the side. Overall, service was great and we will definitely be back!
This is a beautiful brewery. While visiting my family in San Diego I had the pleasure of coming here with them. My family truly enjoyed their meal, as did I but I will say they have literally three gluten free items on the menu which feels sub par. I’m not a beer drinker so cannot say how much gf beer they may or may not have. But again to have such an awesome menus with such a small choice of GF is sad. (I was honestly surprised that most places in SD aren’t even up to par with GF options as MANY other cities) I did get their only GF taco option and was very pleased so I don’t want to not say something regarding the choice I made.
I can see what the hype is all about... As far as ambiance and total experience, this is hands down the best brewery I've been to... This truly is a "Beer Garden" It's worth the drive to come out to Escondido and enjoy a meal. The experience here is something else, it's different than stopping by a taproom or a brewery that serves Stone. The Garden is lovely and scenic place to hangout. You can grab a beer from the bar and hang out at the Garden if you don't wish to eat here or even while you wait for your table. I recommend making a reservation for a meal; lunch or dinner...this place fills up fast and the wait can be long. The restaurant is very dog friendly, I saw numerous staff members come to the tables with treats for canine patrons. The Foodie Stuff: ~ STONE BAVARIAN PRETZEL BURGER - 4/5 Solid tasty Burger. While the portions aren't the most generous, you can taste the quality behind it. I ordered a Salad on the side, the dressing was amazing. ~ STONE MAC N CHEESE - 4/5 Just a solid Mac N Cheese dish. Small, but hearty. Make sure to eat it when warm...not the same when it's cold. ~ SHITAKE GARLIC NOODLES - 3/5 This dish sounded so good on paper...unfortunately it was OK. I thought the first bite was brilliant, but after a few more it was too sweet. The sauce overpowered everything and I couldn't taste the Garlic or the Mushrooms. I'll definitely make the effort to come out here again I also hope they stay Independent forever...
We came on a Sunday around 2pm. We didn't have reservations, but it took 15-20 minutes to get a table. It felt like less because we were walking outside in their garden area. The staff was super nice and very friendly. The food came out faster than expected. We ordered the brussel sprouts and wings as an appetizer, and they were both very good I would definitely order them again. My husband ordered the mango michelada and I ordered the 10 ounce buenaveza. They were both very good, lite and refreshing. I ordered the wagyu burger and my husband the prime rib beef dip sandwich. They were both good, but a little bit greasy. I would give them a 4.5 because of the greasy entrees I'd only have .5 stars off but this application won't let me take half a star off. The atmosphere is great very relaxed and you can bring your dogs as well. We would definitely come back for drinks and appetizers.
Food was really good. And the location is super nice. If you want a waiter you have to reserve a table in advance. If you're fine with ordering through your phone than you can just show up and grab a seat in the non-reserved section.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. A bit on the pricy side, but a unique dining experience. The ordering is done through scanning a qr code and paying on the website. I wasn't a fan of that. I prefer to order in person. The menu had a large variety of unique dishes and drinks. Everyone in my group enjoyed.
A family member booked a large party reservation. Let me tell you the thirst and hunger was real after wonder the zoo. The Brussel sprouts, goat cheese balls, and Mac n cheese were delicious. The beer was so so for me. Doesn't mean the beers won't be for someone else. We were seated outside. Lord help. It was hot hot hot and there were no misters. Shade was if you got lucky. The flys were out and about (they have the modern keep your flys out of the food contraptions but majority were already in use) The service was so so. I understand we were a big party but some of our drinks were forgotten. 🙃 Overall good experience. Patience is a must! Highly recommend asking for indoor seating when hot! Otherwise, outside would be okay. I'd go back just for the Brussel sprouts.
Good food, expensive but decent cocktail (I no longer pretend that beer is good). Don't be manipulated into tipping, at least not 20% like I did, via their dystopian QR-code website menu/checkout process. Only staff interaction I had was the food runner dropping off the food, you have to serve water and get to-go boxes yourself. Nothing wrong with that but I wish I would have realized you get basically no service before I tipped so large on their expensive food and drink.

First time here. The food was good and the beer was great. I recommend getting the ahi tuna poke bowl and a beer flight (4 tastings). However, I’m leaving a 3 star because the service at the indoor bar wasn’t great. The bartender with black hair and blue streaks had an attitude that affected the service and made the experience uncomfortable. We planned to stay longer but ended up leaving early.
The ambience is charming and gives off a glamping vibe. The restaurant and accompanying store are spacious and quite clean. I wish I could give this place another star, but my experience left a few things to be desired. My party of 6 met here for a team lunch, and we were seated outside on the sunny patio despite it being 90°F. While the accommodating staff did provide us with a couple of umbrellas to shade us, they did not provide full coverage, so by the end of our lunch, I was fully exposed to the sun and uncomfortable. The menu items seemed to be hit or miss. There is a wide variety of options, so you can essentially decide what you’re craving in advance of reading the menu and then just pick and point. We ordered the brussel sprouts, which I was eager to try, since it’s one of my favorite appetizers, but they tasted chalky, not crispy, and lacked much flavor. The SoCal Superfood salad was a definite improvement, and I really enjoyed it with the addition of grilled chicken. I asked for the dressing to be served on the side and was glad I did because it was too salty/sour for my preference. A couple of my team members ordered the Fruity Goat and Katsu Chicken salads and seemed to like them as well. I like how this restaurant offers “something for everyone” and would be down to return again to try more of their menu, but I would request to sit inside next time or at least away from the sun.
Food was 10/10, service at the outside bar was not. The various "servers" that brought our food and drinks did not clear anything from our table all night, everything just kept stacking up on the table, which became pretty awkward as the night went on. We had to order from a QR code, get our own silverware, share plates, water, clear own own table, and then the QR code app asked if we wanted to tip 20% on a $300 tab for the 4 of us.
For a Saturday night, I was surprised by the amount of empty tables, dirty tables, and how extremely slow the service was. It took over ten minutes for a server to greet us at our table and just as long to get our water. However, the staff was very polite and seemed happy. Both my order and my partners order came out correctly. The meals were perfect. Nobody came back to check on us till 15 minutes after we finished our food vs shortly after starting to eat to make sure the food was correct and tasted as expected. It took over 30 minutes for a table for two. It could be they were short staffed. Though not a single employee acknowledged the long waits and acted like it was normal. Id still try again mainly because I did like the food and would want to experience the atmosphere more. Their decor and nature covered walkways were beautiful.
Not worth the drive anymore. Most of our food was SUPER salty, overcooked and made with inferior ingredients. Staff was very friendly, but either understaffed or maybe just a lack of leadership/direction. As you would expect after a buy-out, the building itself has not been invested in and just isn't the cool place it used to be. Luckily, the beer is still fairly solid. The whole thing feels like exactly what it is. A big corporation bought up something special and now wants to extract as much money as possible, with as little effort as possible, before it slides into decay. Or, maybe the craft beer boom has ended and they no longer have the funds to keep it up.
If you’ve read some of the comments you already know the service is slow and lacking so don’t complain about it. The atmosphere, beer and facility are top notch. The food needed salt and wasn’t very flavorful. I had the wagyu burger and my wife the fish and chips. It was my birthday so they hooked us up with a free dessert and I chose the apple cobbler. Everything was just ok. I think someone can have a great experience here and would recommend giving it a try.

My expectations were very high and Stone really let me down. There only reason why I have two stars is because the facility is beautiful but the service and food isn't great. I showed up at 3 pm for dinner with a party of 8 and they told us they weren't about accepting any large parties but we could sit in the garden... On the way to the garden we noticed that half of the place was empty. We decided to just make reservations for the following day and come back. After confirming my reservation of 8 in the morning we show up for dinner only 10 minutes prior to my reservation. Although not busy they made us wait until 10 minutes after out reservation to be seated to a table for 7, one seat less than we reserved. The host didn't even notice and took off. That's not even the worst part, this is a brewery that doesn't offer a hamburger or fries. The menu was extremely overpriced and the food wasn't even good. Most things were vegetarian and upwards of $20 a plate. I'm extremely disappointed in this place and I will not be back.
The 2 star is for the environment. However critical review is directed at the management. 1. On a Saturday 2pm. We are told the wait time is 30-40min. Waited behind 3 groups and Wondered on the premises with an elderly couple and a kid... and observing more empty tables (with no reservation sign) than you can count on these photos. The lower section were no food which is understandable. And we speculated that maybe they are short staffed and counted over 15 waiter/resses working at once...so the question is why do you keep people in line when you have empty tables and lots of workers. 2. The kids menue said NOODLES WITH Mariana sauce. We thought, it looks like spaghetti...The waiter brought Penne! When I referred to the menu the waiter said: that's the kind of nuddles we are offering right now! Just because Im not native, it doesn't mean we are illiterate or stupid...still tipped the waiter 17$...but will not going back.
Looking Forward to coming here..we have been to multiple locations Pasadena and liberty so we thought we would check this one. We drove from inland empire took us about 2 hours to get here. Multiple things wrong during our visit. We did not have 1 waiter throughout out dining we had 3 different waiters. So we did not get checked on often. So we just kept going to the bar for drinks. The mixed drinks were watered down and did not taste well. The fish taco we got was mushy making it inedible. The kids did not like the Mac n cheese we ordered. They didnt even touch it. One of the sandwiches we ordered had something in it. So they had to take it off our bill. We were so disappointed of this experience. Great space and environment. Place was not busy so not sure where the ball was dropped. But a lot of things were lacking. We will Def try again because looking around everyone was enjoying there experience...just not our table.
We had our holiday party here. Made a reservation for the minimum required (20 people). Chose the BBQ menu. The meat served (pulled pork and briskets) was not for a party of 20. It was barely enough for 13 people. The “dessert bar”: also not enough and instead of desserts one tray was just chocolate chip cookies. Really disappointed! People, service, bar and venue were great

If patience is a virtue, this place is a spiritual retreat. We waited so long for our food, I started considering a career as a chef just to make sure it would arrive. The staff must have a PhD in forgetfulness because our order almost disappeared into a black hole. And when the food finally showed up… wow. So salty, it could preserve a mummy for 3,000 years. Highly recommend only if you enjoy long waits, bad service, and a sodium overdose.
Stone is my favorite beer, we decided to pay it a visit even though it’s a drive. We drove two hours and it was such a terrible experience. First we called to see if it was dog friendly and they said yes and open seating outside. Once we got there I asked, they said we can sit outside. We were about to place the order when they moved us. Then we sat down AGAIN and once again as we were finished placing the order they wanted us to move. I explained to them that they already had moved us once, and we had my dog in a stroller because she just got surgery. It’s very inconsiderate of them and then they told us we can get the food to go. At that point was completely angry and in disbelief. I’ve never been treated that way. I was looking forward to the entire experience. Now, we have to drive two hours back home
On a quiet Sunday afternoon the wait for an outside table was 25 minutes for a party of 3. We waited and were then sat inside. I told the host we were waiting for an outside table and he told me there was a long wait for an outdoor table. My husband said let’s just take the inside table as we had already been waiting. This place is huge with plenty of outdoor tables that you scan a QR code to order from. Why the mandatory indoor seating? I asked numerous times if we could sit outside only discover when we were leaving that there were open seating tables outside. I love the beer but will just be buying it from Costco from now on. What a disappointing establishment.
In regards to the quality of the food served at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on Decatur Road, San Diego. I have never had an Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl, with that title, that even resembled the entree that I received! I received scoops of white rice, clumped together, with tuna on top! That is it. Nothing else. No furikake, no wakame seaweed salad, no rice cracker, no fried onions, no scallions. Only clumpy white rice. I laughed out loud! I hope someone takes some responsibility for not having any idea how to put this bowl together. What a total disappointment.
01/16 at 6pm Party of 4 got seated outside by the bar where you order through QR code. We ordered beer and lemonade with our appetizers and entrees. The water dispenser to self serve was out of water and my husband was trying to get the attention of the women working at the bar with blue shirt and she successfully ignores him! A nice worker had her hands full and was still able to bring water after she had time ! Everyone’s food gets delivered to our table and my burger was no where to be found. It’s nearly impossible to get help sitting in this section because you have no designated server or bartender and all workers passing by are busy! We were able to get a young ladies attention to get to help me after 25-30min of still waiting she said she would talk to her manager! My food came out 5-10 min after talking to her which was probably sitting there the whole time! Manager never showed his or her face to apologize for the mistake or ask if everything was ok! After asking to put the sauces on the side and waiting 25-30 min my burger still came with the sauce on it! Truly a dissappointment since we’ve been here several times and this time we brought my in-laws and unfortunately this wasn’t a great first impression of this establishment for them!
The place itself is nicely set up, but the experience felt unprofessional. Several ingredients that were supposed to come with our food were missing. The server didn’t check on us or ask if we needed refills, and we had to track her down to request them. When it came time to ordering food , she asked us to put a card on file. When we handed her one, she said, “No, not that one,” without any explanation. We offered another card, which she accepted, but she didn’t require the same from others. Overall, the interaction gave me uncomfortable and unprofessional vibes.
