Now That’s Amore! After a full week of customer meetings across Northern California, We couldn’t have asked for a better place to wrap things up than Johnny Carino’s in Fairfield, California. This spot delivers exactly what you want at the end of a productive business trip—comfort, flavor, and a winter Olympic sports TV vibe that lets you finally exhale. The night started the right way: a pair of CoronaRitas that hit the table like a celebration in a glass. Salted rim, upside‑down Corona, lime wedge, and that perfect balance of sweet, tart, and refreshing. Nothing says “week well done” quite like that first sip of that perfectly blended cocktail. From there, the food took over. The **Make‑It‑Your‑Own Pasta** menu is the move here, highly recommend it if you want the best possible experience. I built a plate that checked every box: Fettuccine Alfredo, Sauté Shrimp, Italian sausage, and a snowfall of parmesan cheese. Rich, creamy, savory, and exactly the kind of dish that reminds you why Italian comfort food is undefeated. The garlic bread was fresh, warm, crunchy on the outside, and like melted hot butter on the inside, the perfect partner to that Alfredo sauce and side of olive oil. The kind of spread that turns dinner into a moment, the glow of the bar, the hum of conversation, and the Winter Olympics coverage on TV, and suddenly you’ve got a scene that feels like a business trip reward. Johnny Carino’s Fairfield isn’t just a dinner stop, it’s a place that knows how to close out a week with style. Great food, great drinks, great energy. If you’re in Fairfield, California on business or just passing through, treat yourself. You’ve earned it.

I was with my pal Bin Jjeenko Khan and his little stab Polk Herindabox going through the mall looking at the food court options, when all the sudden Polk yells out.."Hey! Let's go over to Johnny Carino's" Who the hell is he, I say, and she slugs me in the shoulder, and says it's a restaurant..not a person dummy! Well, we pack up the vintage Eagleton Flier she bought from the Aardvarks-R-Us store, and went straight to Johnny Carino's, for an Amazing lunch! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

The garlic bread and sauce was good and the service was fast, I ordered a pepperoni pizza Omg the crust was so soft and the cheese was a perfect amount and perfectly blended.... it's like eating Pizza Cake The chicken Alfredo is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside served in home made spaghetti sauce. 🍝,.....Good

I wish I could add more than 5 stars for the magical service we received from Nathan. He was beyond kind and very attentive. I really enjoy visiting restaurants with staff like him. This guy was the definition of kind and patience. The food and drink was also excellent. Their pizza here is delicious it's nice trying pizza outside pizza restaurants. The bread appetizer is also never a fail its always so warm and moist. The pastas were also good. Good quality food with fair prices.

2nd time here, they must have changed a few things because I found my favorite things on the menu this time, last time I didn't ... And everything was really great. We were the only ones in for lunch and were treated like royalty 🥰 I have no idea what it would be like crowded but the food was good, service was great, I'll be back for sure!

Excellently authentic Italian food. Don’t believe the Yelp reviews as they always filter the best reviews for businesses that don’t advertise with them. Delicious food all round. Very reasonable pricing, and good service too, what else could you ask for.

Went there for an early Valentine's Day lunch. The waitress was extremely attentive, the food was great, and we even came home with the take home lasagna and a loaf of their bread.

After more than ten years away, my wife and I returned to Johnny Carino's tonight, and it felt like stepping back in time in the most wonderful way. From 2005 to 2015, this was our Friday night routine—our special place where we shared countless meals and life-changing conversations that shaped who we are together. Walking through those familiar doors again brought an immediate wave of nostalgia. While the interior has changed somewhat over the years, the warmth, the exceptional service, and that welcoming atmosphere we remembered so fondly remained perfectly intact. When the house lasagna with spicy marinara arrived at our table, that first bite instantly transported me back to those Friday evenings. It tasted exactly as I remembered, rich and comforting, like being welcomed home by an old friend. The lemon mascarpone cake was the perfect ending, still as decadent and well-crafted as it was over ten years ago. In a world where restaurants often change recipes or lose their soul, Johnny Carino's has maintained its authentic character and outstanding quality. What makes tonight even more special is that we now get to bring our two kids to create new memories in this cherished place. Watching them experience the same warm hospitality and delicious food that meant so much to us brings everything full circle. This restaurant isn't just about the food (though it's outstanding)—it's about preserving memories and making moments that last a lifetime. For couples looking for a place to build traditions, families seeking a welcoming environment, or anyone wanting consistently excellent Italian cuisine, Johnny Carino's is your destination. Thank you for keeping the magic alive all these years. We look forward to making this our family tradition once again.

We enjoy this restaurant every time we go there. Service was very good. Our waiter even had the cook modify my favorite dish (Talapita), because I could no longer eat it spicy or it originally was served. He kept the bread and olive oil coming and filled our "to go" boxes for us. A delightful man. We always enjoy eating at JC's. It is a good place to meet with friends as well.

This was my first time ever coming ever and I don’t think I realized this place has been here for many years. I was invited to a dinner with a family who comes here to host large parties. The area seems very convenient for large groups, you can order for groups and you have a large space. There are party packages to order and we were super full with leftovers! There’s complimentary bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. We had Caesar salad, chicken pasta, pepperoni pizza, a chicken pizza, and some of the kids ordered tiramisu and cheesecake. They also had pitchers for water and soda. Service was so quick and we were in and out of there but we also had the area to hang out. The quality of food wasn’t bad and seems convenient for larger parties. Parking is easy, service was great.

This was our first time here. They accommodated a table for 7 without prior notice/reservation. When we went they were not busy. I was told it does get busy at times and may not be able to accommodate right away. The food was delicious. We ordered a few pizza's, ribbon firework spicy pasta, parmesan chicken, salad & spaghetti. My favorite was the ribbon firework pasta! The service & ambient was great!

We had a very nice dinner here. Not a fine dining Italian experience, but very satisfying and filling. I would come back. Service was excellent, food came out fast. Comfortable booths.

Lunchtime was very non busy, but only one server so it took awhile to be seated. The complementary bread was good and the olive oil with toasted garlic was tasty. The salads were fresh and really liked the chopped salad with pepperoncini and bacon bits. My entree of Timballo was terrific; wonderful flavors in skillet with melted mozzarella on top. Large portions too. Overall an excellent meal but could use more server staff.

I had to wait over 10 minutes at the front desk before being acknowledged. The place was not very busy we came in under a special that offered a sample plate and bread for free. When we were sad at the table we were asked what we wanted to drink we said lemon on the side with water they gave us two small pieces of lemon asked if we could have more and they said the policy is not to give you any more lemon other than what they just gave out. When we ordered our food the meals were not too bad good tasting however the special that was free showed a prime rib with lasagna and fettuccine but the prime rib was only seven small pieces that were cut up in the picture shows a small prime rib and its entirety. Ask for the manager and she did nothing she was worthless and handling the issue. This was my first time to this restaurant in my opinion of restaurant touring and doing reviews for restaurants via Google this was not ready for a location there's better quality Italian food in different restaurants in my opinion but mostly the service was horrible and the fact that you're standing waiting endlessly for someone to acknowledge one. Very bad wait staff in management was non-existent the prime rib that came out one piece was solid fat and Grizzle with that being said I would give this a two-star out of five I've had way better quality service as well as food from other Italian restaurants will not be returning.

We wanted something different, so we came here. The waitress was very young and seemed as if she didn’t want be there. The food was good, But I wouldn’t come back. They also don’t offer Apple Pay and that was a bummer. The tiramisu seemed old and we left it. A $12 waste. The decor is dated and it wasn’t the warm and fuzzy Italian feel I wanted. I would order take out. But we decided not to go back unfortunately.

Johnny Carino's has a Wednesday double cheeseburger special for $6. So we tried it. Takeout. The burger was tasty, however, the bread they used was so thin, the burger literally fell apart when we picked it up. Eating a burger with a fork? C'mon folks, you can do better.

Whatever you do, don't eat here. Terrible food. Manager on the floor handling cash and touching food with bare hands. Worst "marsala" I've ever had... had to send it back for a burger. Burger was over cooked frozen patty. Cheap food bad recipes all around.....

I was so excited to go to Johnny corino's because the last time I was there. It was so good in southern California. This was the worst experience I've ever had in my life.I'm sixty five years old the food was so bad, it was reheated, not even warm. Let alone horrible and stale. The service was the only thing that was okay. And the cost is ridiculous the bread that was served to the table was charged, which should have been free service.

I have been to this establishment numerous times for happy hour. What keeps me coming back is the happy hour prices on a few things, and 2 of the older ladies that work here. Management never seems to care about the patrons, the kitchen staff are not on par with industry standards, especially for an Italian based restaurant. I tend to only post reviews about good experiences on my influencers accounts. However after the past few times being disappointed in the dishes and how they are presented with missing ingredients as stated from the menu, as well as Management constantly walking by giving rude looks and never acknowledging us. I felt it was pertinent to share in case anyone is thinking about dinning here. Come for a drink get some mozzarella sticks and keep it moving, they are not busy enough to not be more attentive to its patrons and being in the hospitality industry myself for over a decade.. its a bad look. @JohnnyCarinos you have to do better or you will be the next to go, along with every other place in fairfiled being pushed out. #JohnnyCarinos #DoBetter

Growing up, this restaurant felt like everything to me. It was the best Italian food around. We used to celebrate at Olive Garden for every occasion—every football victory, every special moment. It was always an amazing place. When my nephew turned nine and wanted Italian food, he chose Olive Garden, but his mother and I suggested Johnny Carino’s because we believed they were better. The establishment has become thoroughly Americanized, to the point that there are far fewer Italian dishes on the menu than there used to be. Five years ago, there was so much Italian fare that it was hard to choose; now there is very little, and I ended up ordering a dry, unseasoned burger. My sister ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti, and the sauce clearly wasn’t freshly made; it came in a bag, tasted bland, and was watery. I tried to steer the meal toward something I could enjoy for my nephew’s big day, but he didn’t seem to care for his own meal. One of their best things is their bread, but we only received one small loaf for five people, which felt stingy. I remember they used to bring an abundance of bread to the table. If you’re thinking of bringing your family, a significant other, or someone you love here, I would strongly advise against it. We even requested a correction for our food, but they insisted on correcting only one meal.

The food wasn't too bad, not my favorite but not terrible. The House salad comes with cheese. So much for dietary options. Seriously, it's basically one dish if you are vegan. Also we got charged for a refill salad because of the waitress that was very rude and didn't seem to understand that my partner had it with the same dressing before (also why does it have to have the same dressing for a refill?? There is nothing saying that on the menu.) The waitress was very aggressive out-of-nowhere when we asked for salad refills and said some really weird stuff to us. On top of that, the front had a thing about discounts but those only work online so we also lost our on more money than what it was worth. Never going again.

This place used to be decent, years ago. Now, the food is literally horrible. Worst fake Italian food I've ever eaten at a restaurant. I'd go to Mary's or Olive Garden a million times over before I go here anymore. The sauce for the spaghetti was just disgusting. Bread and garlic olive oil was the only thing edible. Really sad...
