Saturday May 15, 2025 8pm I visited the Farmingdale location. Restaurant was crowded but we were seated in less than 5 minutes. My waitress Angela was phenomenal from beginning to end. She not only kept a smile on her face throughout the entire visit, she constantly checked in on us to see if everything was ok, or if anything else was needed. Even though the restaurant was busy she took the time to hold a friendly conversation. That type of interaction is what keeps customers coming back. Angela job well done.

We had a great lunch at Applebee's in Farmingdale. Food was excellent. Love the 2 for $29 deal, which includes an app. We actually ordered more food to take home. Our server was Crystal---outstanding and attentive. The manager Kristen came over to our table a few times to make sure all was OK. We will definitely return again.

They didn’t seem to be causing trouble, but the mere sight of a table full of people carrying swords… well, that’s not something you encounter every day. At first, we weren’t sure if it was part of some sort of performance or theme night, but it quickly became apparent that things were escalating. The swords were raised, a few were drawn, and it looked like a small-scale duel might be on the horizon. As the tension in the air mounted, Jasmine didn’t bat an eyelash. She immediately sprang into action. She calmly approached the table, addressed the situation with authority, and with a few measured words, she diffused the chaos before any serious drama could unfold. Her ability to maintain her composure was nothing short of impressive. Jasmine didn’t just defuse the situation; she saved us from what could have turned into an incredibly awkward and potentially dangerous moment. While the small sword-wielding group might not have been a threat in the end, we certainly felt safer with Jasmine managing the situation. Her quick thinking and calm demeanor saved the night. After the sword-wielding spectacle, Jasmine checked in on us, ensuring we were all okay and that the atmosphere was restored to normal. She even gave us a complimentary round of drinks to lighten the mood. She wasn’t just there to take our order; she made sure we felt cared for and that our dining experience was nothing less than perfect. I frequent this Applebees almost every Friday or Saturday. It is a nice place to unwind after a long day at work. I always sit at the bar and chat with my good friend Agyei. He’s super friendly, personable, and makes some awesome cocktails. He always makes us feel welcome and is the reason we’re here every weekend. 5 stars for Agyei.

Huge shout out to my boy Dave M.. We were a large group of 8 that came in last minute and he was accommodating on waiting on us when we were all indecisive of what we wanted. He was joking with us, attentive, informative and just well versed. Normally when going out to eat the waiters just rush the whole dining process to get you out quickly, but Dave was fantastic and he felt like he was part of our group and still maintained his professionalism when it came time to order. We've been here a few times and always had a good experience but last night was really great and is the reason we will keep coming back. My husband and I had a very long day and placed an order an hour from close which we never do. We waited a few minutes with 3 people asking if we were being helped which was great customer service! Unfortunately due to me being chronically ill and having a lot of issues, I can't eat certain ingredients and my burger came out with ingredients I couldn't have. The removal of ingredients didn't go through on their end which happened at a previous Applebee's but I don't blame anyone, things happen. My husband went back in to ask if it could be remade and the person helping apologized and immediately had it fixed. Then the manager apologized and gave us a card for some money off our next visit which wasn't at all expected and so sweet to do! We got home and the food tasted great but the customer service was really what will keep us coming back. It was very much appreciated and we'll be sure to come back soon!

Every time I come to Long Island, Applebee’s is my go-to spot. The food is always delicious, and they keep adding even more tasty options to the menu that never disappoint. The staff is super friendly and always makes you feel welcome, which makes the whole experience even better. Today's lunch at Applebees was heaven compared to the sports bar I was at the other day. I had the Southwest Chicken Bowl: which had Grilled chipotle lime chicken on mixed greens and cilantro rice with house-made pico de gallo, black bean corn salsa, and guacamole. Topped with chimichurri and tortilla strips. My drink order was a Cyclone Swirl Manarita which is a frozen margarita mixed with sweet strawberry and mango. If there was Tequila in there I didn't feel it but it's super sweet so maybe I missed it. Lol. Overall all a very pleasant experience with Linda our server and the food. I recommend checking it out.

Applebee’s never disappoints. Their winter menu additions are not a lot but I like the promotion these days of steak and shrimps. The two new pastas looked pretty good ordered the creamy penne pasta with sliced prime rib but the chef was a bit stingy with the sun dried tomatoes and the parsley while too liberal with the mozzarella cheese. Low on mozzarella and high on the other two would have struck the perfect balance and would have made an awesome dish spectacular. The pasta crtiism aside, which I only put as constructive while not short changing them on the stars, it is a good chain and my kids love it.

I liked my waitress, but they didn't have some of the drinks like Hendrix Gin so I had to take a star off.

EDIT: Chris, the manager of this location, contacted me right away once I put a complaint in. He told me he is not sure what happened to the wrap that it was incredibly spicy. Chris was apologetic, especially due to the fact that the manager on the night was nasty. Ultimately, Chris made things right and I gave the restaurant a second chance. My food was great at my next visit and everything tasted like it should’ve. People sometimes make mistakes and I believe in giving second chances in certain situations, like this. I’ve been to this location many times before and have always ordered the same thing- a chicken fajita roll up. I got it to go- when I got home and took a bite, my mouth was on fire. It was so spicy, I’ve never experienced anything like that. I opened up the wrap and you can literally see how much pepper there is. Called the restaurant and spoke to a manager named Elliot who told me he doesn’t believe me and they don’t use ground black pepper. He said that don’t use it. What does this look like?

Saturday may 10th 7:50pm to 9:32pm We were seated, party of 6. I was Looking forward to Applebee's at this location. I have been here plenty of times before. Service was always good Food always on point up until tonight. Our server tonight for first time was (I dont want to say who because im. Not in the business of hurting people.* I just hope my review would reach a Senior Manager or General Manager.* I don't know if she was having a bad night or just wasn't interested in professionalism tonight. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks. I had bubly lemon drink and it tasted like dirty fizzy water. My duaghter had water and she pointed out the same thing, Disgusting. It was either the ice or the cups were unclean. Not our servers fault... but ... when we try to locate her, she was no where to be found. Look over at bar, she is chatting with other employees. 6 minutes passed, still chatting...Finally, was able to address our concerns and received different drink. When we finished appetizers, the plates were not picked up. When our main course came out, there was no room to place on table. Finally someone cleared it away. We were looking to get fill up on drinks and again no where to be found. I literally looked around ,even few members of our party looked aswell. Again at the bar talking with another employee this time about 10 minutes straight. Now... I'm not that type person that complain unless I feel like people in my party are not enjoying themselves. That's never the case, until tonight. I'm use to being checked on , if we needed refill or anything... that's the service from Applebee's that is expected. < Applebee's service promise revolves around making guests feel like neighbors and ensuring a positive dining experience Well, it was disappointing. We were out to dinner for early mothers day to beat the rush. I'm glad the food was awesome, but the service SUCKED. I still gave a $60 tip off almost $200 bill, my wife seen it and told me "hope she appreciated that tip because her service wasn't that great". I worked in family restaurant for many years and I understand if it was busy which it was but you don't ghost a party of 6 with 2 kids. I hope her day got better. Chicken was dry. However, portions are huge and prices are great. $10 for a big chicken sandwich, a good portion of French fries, and a large soda. Fries were good, but they put too much ice in the soda, so there was a lot less than I thought. I'm not happy about the dry chicken. Food quality here is not the best, but the prices are unbeatable, along with how big the chicken sandwich patty is. In summary, good prices but food quality is sub-par.

Wasn't my best experience at Applebee's. The food wasn't very tasty and the portions were poor. The restaurant was super cold and we always had to chase after the waiter to get assistance. Most likely won't go there again.

I am writing to share an experience I had at your Farmingdale location on August 14, 2025, which I believe warrants your attention. That afternoon, I placed an online curbside order for a $9.99 burger after a recommendation from a friend who is a Kitchen Manager at this location. Upon arrival, my food was brought out promptly. While there, I noticed the “Bucket To Go” promotion and spoke with Elliot, the Manager on duty, who was professional, kind, and courteous. He instructed me to go inside to inform the cashier that I wanted to purchase the drink to go and to mention that I had already purchased food. I followed his instructions and waited at the bar for my drink. During this time, a bartender(Amanda) walked by several times without acknowledging me. I understood that the team was busy, so I went back to my car to retrieve my food and decided to eat at the bar while waiting. When my drink was finally prepared, the bartender placed it on the bar with a straw and walked away without saying anything. I politely asked for a glass of water and napkins, but received no response. A few seconds later, I repeated my request, and she turned to say, “You have to wait.” I replied that I was fine with waiting, but it would have been courteous to say so when I first asked. She responded, “I said that the first time,” to which I explained I did not hear her and suggested she speak more clearly. At that point, she told another employee to get a manager, stating that she was “not making him anything” and “not dealing with this.” I continued eating my burger until Elliot came over to check on me. I explained what happened and expressed that I found her response unnecessarily rude. I had no issue with the wait—I had already been waiting about 20 minutes for my drink—but I did expect respectful communication. I want to acknowledge Elliot’s professionalism and courtesy throughout this experience. However, I feel the interaction with the bartender did not reflect the level of customer service I have come to expect from your brand. I am bringing this to your attention in hopes it can be addressed, so other customers do not encounter similar situations. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

I Don’t usually leave reviews ever, however after experiencing my first time in this location I could say service could of been better as far more consistency with check ups, refills, etc…, Our server Linda did mention the restaurant received a new pos system due to slow service. The hostess Nixon definitely was more efficient than our server and hands on with us. Funny and nice guy. Food was 10/10. Environment was clean. Nixon definitely made me and my family leave in better spirits. Overall good just more consistency.

Our server was very nice but very forgetful. Had to keep asking for the same thing over and over again. There was a lot of drama between the employees as well? Not only did the hostess bring up something about employees fighting when we sat down our server told us as well and we saw an employee fighting with someone at the bar. The entire restaurant smelt like weed. When I went to use the restroom two employees were in the same stall being sketchy and never even went to the bathroom.

This location was absolutely disgusting. The menu cards were sticky, the tables were filthy and smelled awful, and everything felt unhygienic. They served us soda without coasters or straws, which is basic service! To make it worse, the wonton tacos had meat that smelled like rubber—completely inedible. And let’s talk about the waiter: their nails were so long it was beyond gross, making us question the cleanliness of the food entirely. The entire place smelled bad and felt neglected. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s clear they don’t care about hygiene or customer experience. Avoid this place at all costs!

It's pretty clear why Applebee's as a whole is going under if this establishment is any indication of the chain. They're clearly severely understaffed: We waited about 30 minutes for our drinks to come, then I lost track of time waiting for our food. All told, we were there for about 2 1/2 hours. I honestly don't blame our server, they has a line of people waiting at the door to be seated, when the restaurant was mostly empty. Clearly not hiring enough waitstaff. I wouldn't recommend coming unless you've got a lot of time to kill. Edit: I appreciate the reply from the owner, however the link given doesn't work. It just shows a blank page.

I came here to pick up an order.I showed the manager Ryan my order number and customer name, and he refused to handover the order unless I confirm this delivery was started, and he saw the customers address on the screen. And he used to hang over the order unless I confirm the delivery was started. I explained to him he has no business telling me that hat to do or requesting seeing me phone. Me showing you my phone and you telling me what to do with my personal property is wild.The manager was clearly profiling me, possibly other couriers and overstepping his authority by asking to see my phone. I called back to complain about the situation and ask The district manager phone number and he refused to give it and hung up on me two times. I was very upset aboout this. It took me a week to get paid for arriving at the restaurant. Do you check customers IDs before you accept their credit and debit cards. Do you have over your patrons to make sure that they pay their meals? it took forever to get that order canceled and that customer had to wait even longer to get their food because Ryan didn’t want to handover the oil even though I showed him the order number and customers name. That being said, the service was atrocious, hostile and inhospitable.

Just ordered from here for pickup they got the entire order wrong. Went back to pick up the correct order burgers were not cooked they may as well have been rare completely not cooked and food was horrible waste of $60 bucks. Would never eat from this location ever again. Customer service also sucks.

Ordered car side and my kids burger was raw. Called store to notify the issue and Paul the manager proceeded to say “It’s all coming out like that tonight”. Close restaurant if you know food is being served raw. Especially to small children.

Not only did it take more than 45 minutes for our food to arrive, which they said was because of the system. The manager kindly told us the meal was on her. I mistakenly assumed that meant it would be complimentary because of the very poor service we had received. However, they only gave us a discount, even though we had already decided to pay the full bill so we wouldn’t be eating for free. Then the food arrived, and the burger, which had clearly been specified without certain ingredients, was made however they wanted. In the end, we love the food, but this time they sold us a very bad experience, and I don’t think I’ll be eating at Applebee’s for a long time. As an extra note, we noticed we weren’t the only customers who experiencing issues. I definitely think I’d rather go to Commack, where we’ve never had any problems.

We waited over an hour for our food after asking twice about it. Our waitress had disappeared during that time. When we finally saw her, she said the manager was supposed to check on the food. Finally two out of four dishes came out and she said the rest were coming right out. The other two dishes took another 5 minutes to come out. We all realized our food had been forgotten and heated up in a microwave. Terrible service and no one apologized for the wait. The food was almost inedible and some of our orders were wrong. Really disappointing.

I just left from having Sunday night dinner with my family at this location and I couldn’t be more disappointed. From the initial greeting until the very end of the meal when the manager Sasha came to the table and I tried to explain my disappointment. To start the restaurant is dirty and it didn’t seem to phase the manager when I pointed out how disgusted I was with the fact they had a table in the back corner filled with piles of dirty dishes. The bathrooms were not well kept with dirty baby diapers on the side. Upon Approaching the hostess I asked the wait time and was told it would be 25 mins for my party of 8. I said okay and said I’d be sitting in their waiting area. The hostess never asked for my name and after watching another large party leave and their two tables get split and get cleared; then a different group be seated now having waited 30 mins, I asked how much longer and my name was never on the list. After finally being sat 50 mins after arriving we placed our orders and the food was ok and we had to send a drink back for not being strong enough. The fact that I had explained my extreme disappointment and nothing was don’t as far as a discount or free desert is shocking. If I return to a Applebees it won’t be this location. I don’t need to eat in their DIRTY restaurant 🤢🤮🤮

Someone named Dakota was standing at the host stand so i asked how long the wait was. This person was rude and came off as unfriendly and unprofessional. Dakota said “I’m not the host don’t ask me”. The rest of the night this person continued to sit people down at tables. Our waiter took 10 minutes to bring out two sodas. After our food was brought out after 45 minutes of waiting not once did he ask how everything came out. Will not return.
