I love Cracker Barrel all around so I try to go whenever it comes across my radar because as a NYC girl there are no locations nearby. This location is true to the Cracker Barrel name. Btw, they have pitchers of Mimosas.... IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
Scrum-did-dly-ump-tious! My Mother and I stopped in and we were far from disappointed that we did. Walking in to the Old Country Store is always a delight to the senses! The smells the trinkets everywhere you look there's a new excitement. Such wonderful things. The clothes for children are so adorable and unique. The Halloween decorations are my favorite. We were seated quickly and although it was busy our server was attentive and friendly. Mom ordered the pot roast and I order the county chicken (2 boneless breasts hand battered buttermilk fried) the portions were generous and I was actually full after eating 1 of them. I have to admit I had food jealousy,my Mother's beef stew was so delicious, full of flavor, tender and seasoned to perfection. I almost wished I had gone with that instead. It was surprisingly affordable also. 38$ for the two of us with 2 glasses of perfectly made peach tea. The only disappointment is that we live over an hour and 15 minutes away from here. We left full and happy. Hopefully we'll get to return soon. Ohhh I almost forgot to mention the Mac n cheese it was the coup d'etat. So creamy and cheesy! 😋
Went for dinner with my family after the water park and so happy we did. Everything was delicious. Breakfast/ comfort food at its best. I absolutely loved the vintage, old skool setting. The server was friendly and attentive. Visit the gift shop! Do recommend and will return when in the area.
Its a walk in entrance. As usual great food and family oriented. There is a section of the restaurant that sells older dolls, and toys. It will bring back memories for the adults. Enjoy!
You can't do this to me. You just CAN'T take away the magic that is the Maple Bacon Chicken masterpiece. But, even in my despair, I can see from this month's menu that there are more delicious-looking possibilities waiting for us all. This restaurant stands in a class by itself for everything from value to food to atmosphere. I wish many more restaurateurs followed their fine example. So good that it's worth the long drive, as no culinary geniuses in our area have yet to come close to this place!
Had a wonderful breakfast here today. Started with the hot and cold pancake lattes which were very tasty. The new shrimp and grits skillet was very good, the sauce had a little kick to it but overall added to the flavor. The pancakes were great as always. Our server Amber K was very attentive and made sure we were happy and well fed. We will definitely be back!
My family has been going to Cracker Barrel in Fishkill for many years. There were times in the last few years when we were a little disappointed with service and the quality of food. I must say that this visit was exceptional. Our waitress was by far one of the best we’ve had. The food was absolutely perfect!! The atmosphere was great. Everyone working there was smiling and friendly. We love Cracker Barrel, especially in Fishkill and will continue to bring our family back for many years to come!
Our waitress, Brittany, was amazing. So personable, she made our visit unique. She was so helpful and understanding with my wife's dietary needs. We've been to this location many times and Brittany provided the best experience we've ever had there.
This place is just awesome, the staff is super friendly, a very welcoming atmosphere, the ambience is very pleasant and comfortable, the restaurant has this wonderful old timey look with all kinds of artifacts and collectibles on the walls. The shop is great as well, so many interesting things. The food is just heaven in every bite, cooked to perfection, this Cracker Barrel location does not disappoint.
We love the old fashioned games for sale in their Country Store. My son loves his new Panama Jack hat. High quality merchandise. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Hope - fantastic waitress.
Both my husband loved Cracker Barrel. We both had specials, mine French Toast with pecans and Pecan syrup, and his a shepherd's pie with hash brown crust. He could not finish his and took half home.
The best place for a hearty meal for the entire family and won't break the bank. 6/19/22 My wife and I had a not so great meal at our local Cracker Barrel. The food came out cold, our pancakes were thin, and we were just disappointed with our entire meal. We didn't want to make a big deal about it because we just got off work and we needed to go to sleep. But our waitress, Jeanine I believe, (sorry if I got it wrong). Being the exceptional server that she is. Told the manager when we expressed our displeasure. The manager Mark made it right. And for that, I thank Mark and our waitress for the hospitality and customer service. For this reason, we will return to this Cracker Barrel. Thanks for being professional and concerned with the satisfaction of your customers. Keep up the great work!
Always a delicious meal! We come around 1-2x a month from 40 minutes away! We were recently there 4 days ago and I totally forgot our serves name but she mentioned it was her first day and she did an amazing job! She always checked up on us for refills and was very attentive! I really wish I remembered her name because she was one of the nicest servers i’ve had! My only overall complaint is whenever we come the hashbrown casserole is dried up and overly crispy. Other than that everything is always great!
Was heading home after vacationing in Catskills for a week. There's no Cracker Barrel near home so visiting one is always a treat. Put our name on waitlist. Although place was very busy (Mothers Day), we were seated within 10 minutes of check in time. Food was delicious, especially the chicken campfire. Last time I had it was about 7 years ago and it was better than I remembered. Jeanine, our server, was excellent. If this place was closer to home, I'd probably be there weekly.
We had an amazing visit to Cracker Barrel recently, and everything from start to finish was impeccable. Our server, Earnest, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The food came out incredibly fast, piping hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious—true comfort food done right! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with that classic, down-home feel Cracker Barrel is known for. And of course, you can’t walk through the country store without wanting to buy something! There's always something charming or nostalgic that catches your eye. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Thanks again to Earnest and the entire team for such a memorable experience !
We were seated quickly and had drink on the table before I knew what was going on, food came out just as fast and was amazing too the last bite.
It was great. .our server Britany was the best! She was very attentive and professional. The food was very good and tasty!! We even ordered the French toast breakfast for takeout for the next day!!
Cracker Barrel in Fishkill, NY has been our Thanksgiving dinner eatery since 2014. Rather than make a big dinner for our family of four on Thanksgiving day, and following viewing the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV, we take a pleasant drive to Fishkill to partake in the excellent Thanksgiving dinner specials they offer on "gobble day" every year. These specials are inclusive of dessert, with a serving size above average. They are well prepared, and are reasonavly priced. In spite of how busy they are, wait times are not bad, and you can enjoy browsing their country store while you wait. The time passes quickly! The kids get to play checkers, and we all enjoy the fireplace and atmosphere unique to Cracker Barrel without the pressure associated with preparing, serving, and cleaning up a home made Thanksgiving Day dinner. The staff is pleasant, courteous, and efficient. We usually bring a take-out meal to any family member unable to make it with us. Make a new tradition for yourself and try them for Thanksgiving. If not on that day, pick some other day when you would like a comfort meal without the fuss. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😎
On vacation in Fishkill, NY. First time I had their pancakes. They were fantastic. They had that old country cooked taste and were huge. I couldn't finish everything. Their biscuits and gravy was good too.
Sue who is a student from Binghamton working here while on break was amazing. Her happiness and friendliness made for such a great breakfasts.
Cracker barrel is a really good restaurant the foods are very flavorful and tasty, they give you good portions you leave there nice and full, before you walk in to the dinning area, they have a great gift shop and the best part of that is they have old-time candies to bring back some good memories as a kid when growing up. They are very clean the service is excellent.
Love this location. Service is great and they are super friendly. Food is good. Had the BEST pancake. Cripsy on the edges, soft and fluffy on the inside yet it has a little bite texture. It's was so buttery. I love it. I enjoyed it with my grandpa breakfast and a bottle of peach mimosa. It was delish. Can't believe they serve alcohol. The chicken pot pie was not bad. It satisfied the craving. Will definitely come back.
We had our new year's breakfast there and everything was delicious. And the price was good service was great
The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t sit in a chair that was at the table already and I was able to get it switched out. The food was so delicious. I love the catfish and hush puppies. The only thing I was disappointed in was the dessert. This was described as “Triple berry pie”. What I received was fruit compote with sugar pie crust on top.
Casual family friendly restaurant. We went for brunch. There was something cute everyone. Staff was friendly. Food was great.
Always an incredible experience. Great food, great atmosphere, service is always warm and friendly, manager is always on top of everything and makes sure guests are doing well. I’ve been here about a hundred times and finally wrote a review because the baked potato today was just top-tier. If I could write a separate review just for it I would.
I went out to eat with my family for Father's Day. It was my first time going to Cracker Barrel in general. I loved my dining experience, the food was great. We were seated right away. The waiter was very nice. They had a store in the front before walking into the restaurant. The store was nice, had alot of cool things from kids toys to clothing, jewelry, etc. It was a nice place, definitely would go back & recommend.
"I absolutely adore the pancakes here - they're my go-to order every time! The chicken sausage was also a winner, but unfortunately, the scrambled eggs didn't quite meet my expectations (they were more like a large fried egg). Despite this, I'll definitely be back, as the prices are always reasonable and the food is generally delicious.
I'm not even American. But I would say this is comforting food. Low sodium levels, less oils and sugar were used compared to other classic american restaurants. Your stomach and organs will thank you for eating them. Just wanna shout out to my server Dylan for an excellent service.
I meant to write a review a few months ago and it completely slipped my mind! This was my first time ever being at a Cracker Barrel and it was a really great time. Our waitress, Beth went above and beyond to assist us and snag us a fresh batch of biscuits after they were temporarily out of them. I had the campfire chicken, it was brothier than I anticipated but thankfully I love broth and the chicken itself was tasty, and we were obsessed with the biscuits. Some ladies in the country store were also really kind. Can’t wait to come back again hopefully someday soon and try more stuff, we traveled from an hour or so away!
Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs. Now that's a dinner I can eat anytime. Their customer base is one of the most diverse groups imaginable and we all enjoy the old fashioned country styled theme. So happy that the executives listened to their customer base and left this restaurant the way it was because it's the way it should always be.
How can anyone not love cracker barrel? Service was great. Super friendly. We had a 5 min wait to be seated and the gift shop is a pleasure to wait in. Traditional American home cooking is what you will find and a very reasonable price. Super casual....Super cute. And the food is yummy!!!!
I do love Cracker Barrel and the built in general store. I've been to quite a few and this one is now my favorite. Friendly service as usual, but our waitress was even better than the usual. Checked back often. A table older regulars nearby clearly knew her and she knew what they wanted. The food was tomely, hot and well prepared. The folks in the general store were pleasant and helpful. Nice job Cracker Barrel!
Cracker; Barrel is very good if you order correctly. NEVER order their scrambled eggs. They seem to be made on a machine. The texture is very off putting. The pancakes are excellent. The over easy eggs are good.
The food and service here are excellent. The staff are nice, polite, friendly and welcoming. Love the gift shop and the decor. I will stop here every time I'm in the area. Thank you. I wish cracker barrel would open a long island location!!!
As usual, Cracker Barrel doesn't disappoint! Food is consistently top notch quality and prepared in southern style. If that's your thing, that's why you go! I've been to several and the Fishkill location is a frequent stop on the way to our upstate vacation home. The kids and I love it and the trip wouldn't be the same without it! Love cracker barrel service, quality and experience! Thank you and hope to have many more visits!
WOW! THE PLACE WAS PACKED! What a turn around from my previous post. This particular spot was clean the servers were very attentive and the food was great. My party of nine all enjoyed their meal and drinks and of course the traditional decor. Wonderful to have you back. Keep it up.
Had an incredible time dining here for a hearty brunch. There was a wait but while doing so there is so much to browse about in their general store right where you walk in. I came here with a big group of friends but we weren’t waiting too long. Ordered regular coffee which did the trick. I thoroughly enjoyed Grandma’s Sampler French Toast Breakfast with eggs over medium and bacon. Before I even dug into that though the buttermilk biscuits with their tasty gravy were a delight. Checking out with simple back where you waited for a table. Cannot rave enough about how amazing the service was. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. Hope to eat here again next time I am in town.
Cracker Barrel is one of those a nostalgic stops for road-trippers and comfort-food, especially breakfast. Our server Rosadalia was awesome. I always find that it’s the people that work in those chains who really make a difference. She was very attentive and did a great job bring out food promptly . The pancakes were great.
Best pancakes in Fishkill, I had an amazing breakfast at this Cracker Barrel. Despite it being a busy Saturday morning, we were still seated quickly and had a short wait time. The service was excellent, and our waitress was very nice and attentive. The pancakes were soft, fluffy, and golden, and they serve complimentary cornbread and biscuits along with your food. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
Visiting from Long Island and our waitress Hope was amazing ! Food was fresh and tasted delicious which you don't get much of these days. Prices are absolutely reasonable . Unsweetened ice Tea and the Half and half are soooooo good . Service was great food and anything we ordered came out from the kitchen in a very timely matter as well! Definitely will be back when we visit again !
Okay so as I'm a creature of habit and I will travel for something to satisfy a food craving.... no matter how big or small. Now I know Cracker Barrel is not for everybody but for me its all about the biscuits, unlimited country lemonade, and their chicken fried steak! So the only location near me happens to be in Upstate New York (and I live in New York City) in Fishkill and where did I go this weekend...... to Upstate New York.... Fishkill!!!! Honestly the drive was not bad at all and was very very soothing driving through the Fall Foliage of Bear Mt. and not having to attend with the madness of City driving As usual the place was filled with afternoon Blue Plate special customers, so I wound up ordering their chicken tender meal with three sides, which included mashed potatoes, carrots, and sweet corn. All I can say is that everything hit the spot! The waitress was even kind enough to give me additional biscuits at no charge, and I was very, very content. Honestly, their chicken fried steak and their chicken tenders are equally as delicious, and I'm probably the best tenders I've ever had!
COUNTRY COOKIN’ DONE RIGHT 🍳 This is a great place with friends when you want to eat and are not afraid to really “eat”. Portions are big and moderately priced. Food is deliciously southern feel good food. Indulgent and delicious. Country Fried Steak is great. As well as the biscuits that come with the meal. The selection of sides are amazing. There’s pretty much anything for everyone including kids! The atmosphere is spacious and homey including a country store to buy goodies. Overall, a great experience and Highly Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had fried chicken, it was excellent, some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The sides were good too.The service was fast.

Travelled here with my grandson and family. We arrived at 9a. We got a table right away. Not soon after it filled up by the bus load. Seemed to be a popular stopping place for breakfast in the area…
We love most all Cracker Barrels. This one had a greeter that tried to force us to sit right at the very entrance near the waiting to be seated line. We were w out 5 yr old twins who cannot be distracted by the toys and candies that are for sale in the store, lol. So, luckily a nice manager moved our seat. The waitress was super nice. The food delish as always. Great fun decor and ambiance. So sad that they no longer have the sweet potatoes 😢 it was my favorite side dish. Love the cornbread and biscuits 😋 Our kids love it here. The rocking chairs outside, americana decor and extra large chess boards to play with, wins them over every time. Worst wait time is probably sundays after church. Up to 45 min wait 🫣
We ordered chicken tenders and fried catfish. Everything tasted good. Service was attentive. Very good overall.
This location use to be way better but inflation costs lead to smaller portions and there's a high turnover rate. You never really see the same people twice which questions management. I went and the biscuits were so hard that even after banging them on the table to show the waiter they still didn't even break. I would only go again because the prices are decent but management needs to fix a few things before they lose customers and have to only rely on tourists passing through. DO BETTER PLEASE!!!
Well, I did just order eggs and sausage, no hash browns, but the presentation was just that, food on a plate. Granted, it is Cracker Barrel, but the atmosphere is warm and quaint, had the fire going, that was nice, it was a wicked cold day.
Great atmosphere! This is my second visit to a Cracker Barrel that has become a tradition for us with my partner for the first week of October. Great food, great service. My recommendation is get a side of fried pickles. Main course get the fried chicken with the sides of mashed potatoes and corn.
Good old fashioned comfort food. The grilled chicken salad was excellent. The turkey was moist and delicious. The mashed potatoes were good. They were real, not instant. The green beans were mushy. The rolls were very good. Our server was very good. The shop has lots of cute items.
I had the catfish dinner. The fish was fishy (😳) not so good. ☹️the mashed potatoes and gravy was good. Broccoli was good. Hush puppies were good. I had a lemonade and Moscoto wine spritzer which was quite refreshing!! Good service and I love the store on the way out. I got some nice little items on sale.
The atmosphere of this place is nostalgic. They have things that would remind you of your childhood and items that were utilized in the past, among other things. Staff is friendly, and the food is good. The only thing that was an issue for me was that the sides that were served weren't hot enough when brought to the table, so it got cold rather quickly. I liked how they have rocking chairs and big checker board games placed outside for entertainment. Overall, anyone patronizing this place won't be disappointed.
Was not a fan of late. I'm trying it again after some time. Food still disappoints, but the vibe has and still is fun and warm, and that means a lot these days for me. Classic bacon eggs and hash casserole nice and prepared expertly. The sourdough toast was actually too sweet like a Subway Roll. Please stop adding sugar to everything. Francesca was over the top polite, professional, and friendly...made the visit worth it! Management material.
Bit crowded on a Sunday around noon but we were seated within 15 minutes. The service was kinda slow after that but our server was lovely. The food was really good and the portions were generous. Biscuits were soft and fluffy. The shrimps were a bit overdone but everything else was great. Would definitely return again to try their breakfast options when in the area.

Very disappointed. Our waiter was Earnest who came across to me as arrogant. He seemed more interested in talking with his coworkers than refilling our drinks. Food was just ok.

Food was good, waitress was pleasant, price was right. Stopped for dinner around 4:30 on our way through the area.
The food has gone down so bad. Service was great. Biscuits good, homestyle chicken is a small piece of nothing good. Eggs horrible like powdered eggs. White gravy had no taste it was flour and water. People come here but I don’t know why you would come back.
It's a fun experience, but the food isn't what it used to be. I came in wondering why the CEO couldn't turn around the 40% stock drop since she took over. While much of the experience is just like I had cherished since my first visit 25 years ago, the food is a let down. Smaller portions of homestyle comfort food isn't enticing. My country fried steak was a fried hunk of meatloaf. It USED to be a puked flat steak. Real steak. I'll not hold my breath while they continue to try to "modernize" - the customers aren't in that demographic
I spent my first experience of Cracker Barrel at this location. When we arrived I was introduced to the gift store that is located on the premises. The store was a great way to spend the exteneded wait time. The store was a great mix Willy Wonka's Factory meets Michael's. When we finally sat down at the table we were pleasantly greeted by our waitress. She was knowledgeable of the menu but she was slow. To be fair it was busy but its never pleasant to feel forgotten even if you're actually not. The food arrive quickly after our order was placed. The food was good not great but for a chain restaurant you can not really ask for more. I got the Country Fried Steak, it was dry and over fried. The gravy saved the dish for sure. The teamwork of this establishment seemed lacking also. I could not understand why it seemed like the hunger games with the staff. Maybe they were understaffed and since it was busy it was hard to lend a hand. Full hands in, Full hands out people!
Cracker Barrel's are few and far between on the West Coast, so our recent trip to NY brought not a little excitement to have a "down-home" meal at this locale. While portions of the meals we ordered were quite good, there were also some items sub-standard. By far, however, our experience suffered from terrible service. The young gentleman who was our server was friendly, but personality only gets you so far, and apparently it doesn't bring you back to the table you're serving without being begged and practically tackled. He could not remember what items were ordered by whom and 5 out of the 7 dinners we ordered had something either wrong or missing. One side dish never did arrive. One soup was served lukewarm and had to be returned. Coffee and sodas were so begrudgingly refilled you might have thought it was war time rations. The chicken fried steak was nice and tender, but a hallmark of the dish, the sausage gravy, was so sparse it almost seemed like it had accidentally been spilled on rather than purposely spooned. The catfish was ordered by one in our party and it seemed like the best dish of them all. The fried apples were sweet and juicy and made for a nice dessert. The restaurant was clean.
Recently moved and was closer to the fishkill location so we decided to try it. Unfortunately the experience wasn’t great. First out biscuits that I was looking forward to all day came out burnt, my husband ordered a soda and i ordered a lemonade which I was told in advance would take about 10 minutes and I was completely fine with that but we were wondering why my husband had to wait for his soda. The server was very nice and attentive but not sure if she was new or was handling too many tables. What topped it off was my son’s steak, I thought I heard it moo😟 he likes it medium well but it came out so bloody and more on the rare side. And if you know how to cook steak you know once they took it back to put it back on the grill that lost its texture so that sucked. The biscuit beignets were not as fluffy wither. Really disappointed . Not sure if I’ll be revisiting this Cracker Barrel again, rather go to Arlington which is further out from me.
We stopped for lunch and ordered breakfast food. The hash browns were in a big greasy clump. Sausage gravy had very little sausage and very little taste. Dry biscuits with burnt tops. I still and always will enjoy browsing the store and I did buy some trinkets.
Food was cold Side of toast was 1 piece of bread. If it wasn't for our server Anthony who was amazing I would have had a bigger tantrum. The manager and the cashier when you checked out made sure that the bill was adjusted. But they really need to work on the kitchen to make sure food is hot and not be so stingy on toast and one biscuit per person and very little gravy they were exceptionally busy however there was a person walking around saying they were busy when they could have helped serve . I believe I saw a manager serving he was helping but they were so short staffed but it's not much to ask for hot food
I love cracker barrel so this wouldn't deter me from going but the reason I gave three stars instead of five was because our food took a while, they ran out of the special for that day (at 4pm!), and it wasn't hot when it came out. The pie wasn't hot when it came out either later in the meal. But they were busy so I don't blame them and I would definitely go again. Still solid food.
The Nashville Hot Fried Chicken was banging. Good service. One of the better Cracker Barrels I've been too.
Don’t even bother, went for breakfast on Valentine’s Day, my Bloody Mary had wilted celery and the second one didn’t have any at all, no olives either, my scrambled eggs with cheese, weren’t scrambled with cheese at all, they slapped a piece of American cheese in the middle of the eggs, my hashbrowns were cold and plain, even though I ordered the loaded hashbrowns, and my country fried steak wasn’t fried it was mushy and cold. The best part of the breakfast were the biscuits, let’s not forget the waitress … who left our dirty glasses on the table next to our new drinks on our tiny table, had to tell waitress to take them off…. just overall NOT a good experience! SUPER DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED!!
Our poor server having a whole dining room to service was apparently overwhelmed. Not only that, she also had the responsibility of clearing tables. This is a server we have had many times and always provides excellent service. Not only were they short staffed on the floor but it seems as though they were short staffed in the kitchen as well. One in our party order hash brown casserole with meatloaf and was told the casserole was still being made. The rest it the party were practically done eating and the casserole was not yet brought out. When it was brought to the attention of the manger he offered to bring a fresh portion of meatloaf. So now when the casserole was finally brought out she now had to wait for the fresh serving of meatloaf. Manager ended removing the charge for the meal. I found my BLT enjoyable but the sides are always lukewarm, especially the mash potatoes. My husband and I have been going to Cracker Barrel for 25 years but our last visit was also unsatisfactory. My steak had no flavor and was about 1/4-1/3 fat and the steak knife was so dull I had difficulty cutting the steak. When I asked for another steak knife I was told they were all the same. So apparently they were aware but did not replace them. I gave the atmosphere a 4 but honestly did not take notice. But there are times we see items on the floor without getting picked up. One of the last times we were there we saw a utensil and a piece of broccoli on the floor. My husband and I thought they really need to pick it up before someone slips. Also I have notice some of the pictures on the walls dusty and with finger prints. This I brought to the attention of the manager but our next visit showed nothing had been done. After the many years of frequenting Cracker Barrel unless improvements are made we don’t see ourselves returning any time soon.
I've eaten at several different Cracker Barrels over the years although there is none close to where I live. This experience today was THE worst. The server literally picked something off of that sad gray lump which is supposed to be meatloaf and when I asked what it was, she casually told me she thinks it was a piece of paper. And she picked it off with her bare fingers. The picture is actually better than what I got because my phone adds a filter which makes food look better in color. That dish was the "classic sampler" and the meatloaf was very dark on the outside, gray, cold and hard inside and gross. The tiny scoop of mashed potatoes had congealed rubbery gravy on top. The turnip greens were stringy and stinky and very sloppily placed, there were strands hanging all over the place touching the table. The fried chicken was ok and the only edible component of my meal. My kid's country fried steak was also gross and he barely ate it, choosing to eat just his sides and his siblings leftover chicken tenders. I got the mashed potatoes replaced after complaining about the gravy hence the added star for service. I actually like going to cracker barrel but never again to this one. It was just gross all around. Do NOT recommend this location.
ordered mashed potatoes with my main dish and received mac and cheese. asked the server to correct the problem and got an attitude. didnt get my mashed potatoes until i got the check. not normal for a Cracker Barrelll
I've been to many Cracker Barrels. This was the worst experience I've had. The pancakes were very dense, and lacked the usual yum factor. One bite had a stale grease hint to it. The chicken sausage was overcooked or microwave dry. My friend's French toast had no flavor, it looked like plain fried bread; it was sent back and returned with more flavor, this time you could even see the egg and cinnamon. Eggs were eggs. Complaints to the manager were barely acknowledged. The catfish was good.
Wanted to stop in after all the backlash over the past few weeks regarding this establishment. You would think after their stock dropped 100 million overnight they’d be a little more on top of their game. NOPE. 2 hockey pucks and a kids portion of eggs made several hours prior. I don’t think Mr. Herschel would approve..
Clean all of your disgusting restaurants. All of the memorable items hanging from all of the walls in the dining rooms have 1 -2 inches of dust on all of them. They have not been cleaned since they w…

2022 Just back from Cracker Barrel. What a disappointment! Ordered from the simple breakfast portion of the menu. First of all, the coffee went cold while waiting for the rest of the order. I…
Terrible experience here. The hostess told all groups that it was a 20 minute wait. It was 45. Tables weren’t being cleared and service was slow. We were not offered refills during the hour we were seated. Food order was wrong. Missing items and other items not cooked as ordered. Server did not bring requested refills or corrected orders. Management was indifferent at best. Almost 2 hours from arrival to we left. Party of 2. Do not stop here.
Very disappointed on the quality and the difference of what they advertise vs what you actually get. The dine in meal was worse but I let it pass and the take home platter I took to my wife (Picture) was just as bad. I did try to reach out to the store and got, Donna on the line and after hearing my issue and me telling her that I was calling to make them aware and not for money back, she said "Okay" and hung up the phone. Trust me, pick a different spot for breakfast!!
Waited over 1 hr and still not served our meals. Four surrounding tables that came after us were served and two were paying as we left.
Was waiting in line to reserve a table. The line grew almost to the back of the store! I was the next in line when she informed everyone to move the line a different direction. 20 people then got in front of our crew. I said said ma’am. We were in line next . She got nasty and said there clearly not HER problem 6 different families when Next door to the red line diner and had a much better experience
I had a disappointing experience at Cracker Barrel recently. I arrived at 12:15 and was told the wait would be around 25 minutes, which was reasonable — but I wasn't seated until 12:55, a full 40 minutes later. Once seated, the service was extremely slow. It took another 50 minutes — until 1:45 — just to receive an appetizer. That was all I got. After being there for an hour and a half with still no entrees in sight, I had no choice but to tell our waitress we would need to leave and only pay for the appetizer. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but the lack of communication and long delays were frustrating. A simple update or acknowledgment from staff would have helped. We would have left earlier since we were preparing to go to a wedding. Unfortunately, this experience made it hard to enjoy what is usually a comforting, home-style place to eat.
Food is so-so. I was never a fan. I came along because the family wanted to eat there. The staff was nice. We went for breakfast. Most of the stuff was good but their hash browns were not crispy at all... just white.
