I love this place. The food quality is good and consistent. I have eaten here many times over the last two years. Their salads are good, appetizers are good, and I love the pepperoni they use on their pizza. The service is also always pretty good or great. Pictured below are what was left of the bruschetta trio in olive medley, tomato and basil, and artichoke. They are all cut in half so you can easily share. I got a carafe of their specialty wine, which was three glasses.
It was a good dining experience. Food delivery to the table felt a bit chaotic, pizza coming first and salad later. Also we felt that the pizza could have been cooked for tad bit longer as the center of the pizza was not crispy and was soggy. One of the order for our table was no mushroom, but it felt like it had extra mushrooms. But overall still very good and tasty pizza and we would for sure go back again.
By far the best pizza I've had in a very long time. A crust that leaves every other pizza in the rear view. The options that are available are endless. This isn't just a chain, it's a take over of any communities the show up in
Called at 1730 regarding a 1830 reservation for 12 and they were able to accommodate us without question into a private room towards the back. Having this room allowed our little ones to have a little more freedom as they waited on their pizzas to arrive. As we arrived, the hostess had had already begun to gather our menus, and what not and then said with confidence: follow me! The young man that ended up waiting on us did a fantastic job and to our surprise, later he revealed to us at the end of the night that he had only been working there for about 10 days! He was fantastic and certainly wish him all the best in all that he does. Great experience for me and my family and we shall return 👍🏽
So my wife and I moved to north Texas from the Boston area where we have plenty of amazing pizza shops that are local and chains that are amazing. Since moving down here we have struggled to find a good pizza joint like back home. All we really found was dominos that was good. But we just had our first baby very early in the morning on Sunday and we did not feel like cooking being new parents and we both decided to try the pizza hunt again. We had resulted to buying a pizza oven to make our own to satisfy our pizza cravings. We came across Grimaldi’s on our search and decided to give them a try. And they hit the mark!! They are so far the only restaurant down here that has pizza even remotely close to like home. The crust was cooked to perfection the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect, and they use real actual pepperoni that is sliced fresh! It was truly delicious for the both of us and we couldn’t have been happier. We will definitely be a repeat customers here to sample more of their brick oven pizzas. They saved the day for two very tired new parents with our first born son. If you are looking for good pizza cooked to perfection take it from a guy from Boston this is the place to go! We will definitely be ordering here again!!
This place is a gem! It’s great for family nights or relaxed date nights. The pizzas are very authentic and the flavor it’s amazing! Coal brick ovens. They have about three sizes (12”, 16”, and 18”) I believe, and you can do combinations of half and half. The place have plenty of indoors and covered outdoors seating, for small and large parties. They have a great selection of wines (6oz, 9oz, and bottled), and cocktails. Their signature cocktails (vodka, tequila, rum, etc) are about $13, and the desserts include cannoli, tiramisu, and cheese cake. Service was extremely nice, and prompt, they give you good recommendations, and check on you continuously. Prices are good for the quality and quantity of the food (pizzas ranging from $13 to around $30) depending on the size and ingredients.
The atmosphere is lovely. They reused old wine bottles as light fixtures. The gluten free pizza is one of the best crusts I've had. The downfall are the prices. The gluten free crust comes only in 12." Each ingredient is bought separately. We ended up paying $25 for a 3 topping pizza. The server was a sweet girl named Jas, but was overstretched. They were understaffed for a Sunday (expected though as crews are light at most restaurants on Sunday mornings). She was working a 7-top party and 2 others in the dining area, which left us forgotten about. Our check for 2 gf pizzas, with 3 toppings each, 2 teas, and a baby's apple juice was $68.
Great pizza selection. All pizzas and salads can be customized to your liking. Not a great place to watch a game as there are not many TVs. My husband and son got The Don and they said it was very good. I got a seasonal salad with the black cherry vinaigrette and candied pecans. So good! Wine selection is good, but they were out of every wine I wanted. Overall we were satisfied with our meal and will visit again.
Love their pizza it's my go to place. The service is ok nothing to brag about. I ordered via phone, and when I got there they had my order but didn't make my pizza. I shouldn't complain about it the pizza was amazing.
We arrived before closing time and while the brick oven was spitting coals, good and hot. One awesome Margarita Pizza, excellent, and one pepperoni to go. Nice place.
Amazing pizza, one of our favorites. But extremely slow service. If it’s a weekend for dinner and super busy? 1 hour for a pizza. If the restaurant is empty? 1 hour for a pizza. The young man at the host stand was very friendly though, which honestly made a huge impact!
All their pizzas are crust pizzas and coal fired. They will come and provided seating options. The store is clean and well maintained they can customize the pizza. The peach the pizza was well well-made and tasty. I wish they could have more vegetarian options. Otherwise it’s a great pizza. It is also located in a great location with a lot of shops around it
Half the pizza pie was burnt at the bottom. Ask for peppers and cheese packets and was given on 2 of each.
It saddens me to think that somehow in Texas, we feel that it’s a pizza place that serves somewhat of a decent pizza regard to yourself as Italian. Sadly, it’s not even close. The pizza is adequate at best and unfortunately, the service is even below that. Having to be ignored and allowing your food to get cold and service to be mediocrity, it’s unfortunately that this pizza place continues to decline in such a nice area. I don’t recommend going to this place, unless you want something somewhat better than Pizza Hut and you wanna pay double the price.
Average pizza, skimpy ingredients high prices. Staff are nice but Very slow service. Many better places to eat quality pizza in Flower Mound / HV area. We do not recommend
Grimaldi's is a Brooklyn based pizzeria which has opened up branches in 10 states around the country including a few places in the Dallas area. We recently dined at their this place at The Shops in Highland Village and found everything to be ok. We tried their signature thin-crust, coal-fired brick over pizzas, choosing custom topping choices, one of the pizzas crust was perfect, the other fairly soggy but overall the pizzas tasted good. Salad served up with our meal was similarly decent, nothing amazing nor bad - just decent salad.
Was craving pizza. The pizza was great. The cauliflower crust is amazing. But I’m unclear if the staff just never received training or if they just didn’t pay attention. How long do you think the bar at a restaurant should be without a bar tender? Not long as far as I’m concerned. We waited a long time only to have our bartender come back to the bar chewing her food. Wait wait. I’m eating here and you’re working here. Well maybe not. Finally get an order in. Delivered by a little redhead. Three people in our party. No plates no utensils. We asked the same redhead for those things only to watch her return to the hostess stand to greet zero guests and stand there and do nothing. No plates or utensils. I went and got them for myself. I guess I’m old fashioned but I feel like it’s an inconvenience to provide service. I guarantee that these people feel they deserve a tip. I’m just unclear why ? Does anyone remember what the word tip stands for. It’s an acronym. TO INSURE PROPER SERVICE. That’s where the word came from. So how about we make a deal. You provide the proper service. I’m sad that Covid has created an excuse to be lazy and apathetic. Covid is over. Do your job. Bringing people food and drinks isn’t hard. I would like to feel like I am at a business I am paying to patronize and not like I walked into a college apartment to hang out with the crew who is at the very least annoyed that I’m even there. This is what an absence of leadership does. Whomever manages this location should be called to task. Epic fail.
They used to have fresh mozzarella to go with the meat, olives, and peppers, making you feel like it was worth the cost. They now give you the hard pre packaged and flavorless slices purchased at the grocery store , just stacked to make it appear thicker. Pizza crust came out burnt. when we did try to express to the server that the food was different than previous trips he merely said “excuse me” and left(I’m not kidding, that was his exact response, leaving us perplexed). We’ve been to this location many times but most likely won’t return to this particular location due to the sliding standard of both staff and food. At this point Mellow Mushrooms food is better and absolutely better-priced.
Very strange delivery request that was cancelled, mid delivery.. They gqve our order to someone that wasn’t even with Uber Eats. I called and the manager acted like this was a new thing, but reading through reviews this has happened before. I don’t know that they manage this very well. We always have issues with delivery with Grimaldi’s. After waiting an hour and a half it was cancelled so we went somewhere else. No clue what happened and no one cared to explain or figure out what happened.
On 10/3/25, I visited Grimaldi’s as I had previously had a wonderful dining experience here. However, today was a different story. I was seated on the patio without waiting. This is where it went downhill. I watched party after party receive their food and checks, and I was still waiting to place my drink order. Another party was sat and attended to promptly, as I had been promised. At this point, I decided to leave as it was clear my business was not wanted.
Placed an order at 6:32 pm for delivery . Delivery was supposed to to be by 7:40.. At 8:12pm I pulled up the tracker and there was a problem and they canceled our order. No call nothing just cancelled. Called the store and they were going to remake the order. I was told by Ryan he would put our order at the head of the line. Our new delivery time. Is now 10:00pm. Not feeling like we are at the head of the line. So we will see if we ever get our order 3 1/2 hours for a pizza is insane.
