The atmosphere, service, and food at Dorn Michelle’s can’t be beat. A quaint place with a beautiful sunset view (we sat on the back patio then relocated to a table indoors due to the storm). We had the burger and the chicken wrap - both so delicious we shared our plates with one another. The wine spritzer was also wonderful. We can’t wait to go back!

Went out with a friend to celebrate his birthday, and he kept telling me what a great place this was and I should check it out. He was not exaggerating, food was excellent, and you can see and feel the love and care that went into each dish. In addition, staff was so attentive and made us feel like we were family. The chef even took a moment to come by and say hello. To top it off, the atmosphere is cozy and laid back great if you need to get away from the big city or just life. Would highly recommend you check it out!!

When you're looking for a dining experience that's as rich in history as it is in flavor, look no further than Dorn Michelle's. This is more than just a restaurant; it's a step back in time. Located on an old homestead, the restaurant is housed in a charming, beautifully preserved house that dates all the way back to the 1880s. The rustic elegance of the setting creates an atmosphere that feels both special and incredibly welcoming. During our visit, the service was absolutely fantastic. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in what they do, and it elevates the entire meal. For our entrées, we couldn't resist trying two of the highlighted dishes. The special of the day, a Chicken Piccata, was a true standout. The chicken was tender and juicy, perfectly complemented by a zesty, buttery lemon-caper sauce that was tangy and savory in all the right ways. Every bite was an absolute delight. We also ordered the pepper jack smothered chop, and it was the definition of comfort food perfection. The pork chop was incredibly tender, falling off the bone, and smothered melted pepper jack cheese, sautéed onions and peppers that was pure indulgence. Dorn Michelle's is a culinary gem. With its historic charm, outstanding service, and incredible food, it’s an experience we can't wait to have again. Highly, highly recommend!

Dorn Michelle’s is a wonderful hole-in-the-wall spot in Castroville with a surprisingly diverse menu and a clean, cozy dining atmosphere. The friendly and patient waitress made the experience even better. I appreciated how easy it was to substitute sides to fit my keto diet—very accommodating! If you're in the area, definitely give them a try. (:

Came for my birthday celebration last weekend. Food was delicious. Small menu, but we all appreciated it. Arrived at 5pm got a table right away for a larger group. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered the firecracker chicken. I didn’t know I could get it spicier. I would next time. Other ladies ordered the chicken wraps. The spicy fries and sweet potato fries were delicious. I also ordered the crab Rangoon. Perfect size and lots of filling in them. I appreciated they weren’t all breading. Beautiful views. Sat inside due to the wind and cooler weather but would be a gorgeous spot to sit outside in the spring and summer and fall.

Great atmosphere and DELICIOUS food....for starters, the ceviche is fresh and refreshing with crispy homemade tortilla chips. The corn ribs are a must to try. For entrees, don't sleep on the steelhead, Thomas knows what he's doing and he's doing it very well. Their ranch is AMAZING and the schnitzel is perfect every time! Don't forget the"kitchen brews", what a wonderful idea As an added bonus, the sunsets here are magnificent and Dorn is such a joy!

Delicious food and dessert! A bit pricey but worth it. We will be coming back! I got the shrimp scampi pasta but substituted the shrimp for chicken. Delicious! Little man got the chicken bites with fries and for dessert, we got the turtle cheesecake and pineapple cheesecake. Both were amazing!

We have been seeing this place on a Facebook page that we are a part of, and people have been loving it! It just opened a few weeks ago on March 25th. We arrived as soon as they opened, outside it looks like a small country house with a lot of parking! We walk up to the open door and a very nice lady was sweeping and she said hello and come on in, sit anywhere you like. So, we chose a seat inside the first room, and it was very nice inside, all new paint and furniture with nice decor. She came back quickly, and we chatted about the weather a little and she took our drink and appetizer order. She quickly came out with our drinks, a few minutes later our app arrived! We ordered the Crab Rangoon, we got 6 of them with a great sauce! These Rangoon were great, seemed very fresh and handmade, not full of just cream cheese but with meat and veggies! Best Rangoon I've ever had! We received our food about 12 minutes after that, I got the Pork Schnitzel plate! (Which was huge) The schnitzel was cooked perfectly and had good flavor I really enjoyed the cabbage and capers as well! My wife got the Steak and Frites (another huge plate), the steak was cooked a little more than she asked but was very tender, the Chimichurri had good flavor and also came with a horseradish sauce that was great, and a huge portion of fries or frites! Stuffed to the brim we ordered the Pineapple cheesecake! The cheesecake was great! It came with a pineapple habanero sauce and walnuts! The sauce and nuts paired perfect with the cheesecake in my opinion. Great family-owned place with great service! We will definitely check them out again and hopefully sit outside on a cool summer night!

Beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere and wonderful staff and their food is so delicious that we ate just about everything. We had a bottle of Chardonnay and ceviche for our stater then I had shrimp scampi and my husband had New York steak served with broccoli and potatoes wedge also we had a side salad. At the end we had the cheese cake with pineapple with habanero sauce that melt in your mouth. I just love this place. I will be coming here more with friends.

Came here with my gorgeous friend Sophia, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Their corn ribs were finger licking good, as well as the chicken and cilantro rice, so yummy! What made it even more inviting was the opportunity to meet the very creative and amazing Chef, Thomas as well as the owner Dorn! It's family owned, and that's the feel you get when you're there. I highly recommend this quaint place, with its country charm. Oh, and I can't forget our amazing server Lucinda, her recommendations will always be the way to go, she also recommended the homemade pineapple cheesecake for desert... 😋🤤

Everytime I visit Dorn Michelle's, the food is so delicious. Today I had the Fiesta pasta, it was so flavorful! It has such a cozy and cute dining areas. I definitely recommend dining here.

You can sit inside a renovated farm house from the late 1800 or you can enjoy the patio outside and watch the beautiful sunsets. Lights for ambiance and romance. The food was excellent with a wide variety to select your favorites. The service was excellent.
