Cafe Cita (Casablanca Cafe) is loved for its great atmosphere, oceanfront view, and excellent service. Many reviewers specifically call out staff by name (Ryan, Derek, Nicole, Cory, Zaklin, Daniela, Patrick, Greg, Andre, Kayleigh) for being attentive and friendly. Some found the noise level high indoors.

Really like the breakfast here! We were staying next door and the staff recommended this place and it did not disappoint! Amazing food, boyfriend said the portion was a tad small for him, but for me it was more than enough, perfect amount. Our server was so incredibly sweet, she told me I was beautiful and she was so bubbly and wonderful! She even gave me some post cards which I absolutely love using as a memory keepsake to mail to myself back at home. This was so special! 10/10 would go again!
After a nice stroll on the beach of Fort Lauderdale, we decided to have lunch at Casablanca Cafe for its beautiful decor and front ocean 🌊 view. We were immediately greeted with a smile by Patrick, our server, he was super friendly, efficient and helpful. Our drinks 🍹 came right away, followed with delicous dishes with huge portion and perfectly prepared. The price was right and the view was amazing! We couldn’t ask for a better time, such great time and we will be back for dinner in a couple day. Thank you staffs for a delicous meal, great service and a good time. 👌 Update, since we love it do much we visited the very next day and was taken care by Ryan S., he was attentive and great as well, cocktails 🍹 were good and dishes were on point, again. Love the consistency in food, drink and service!
We love this quaint, historic restaurant, ideally located along A1A right across the street from the beach. The food is made with fresh ingredients, very tasty and nice presentation. Opens daily at 830 a.m. We arrived at opening and didn't have to wait for a seat but have been here previously where there is a short wait(no reservations accepted). Greeted promptly by Patrick our server. We ordered a bloody Mary and a couple of mimosas ( several juice options available for the mimosas). Our breakfast included pancakes (with a nutmeg or cinnamon spiced batter) with bacon and 2 orders of avocado toast ( eggs any style on the toast). Outdoor patio or indoor seating. They also have a decent sized bar inside. We come here every time we have visited Fort Lauderdale and have never been disappointed!
Visited this place twice while in the city for a conference. Once for dinner, the next day for lunch. Both times service was amazing. Both my waiters were attentive and great for opinions in what to order. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was great. For dinner I had the grouper meal which was excellent. Appetizer was calamari and was amazing. For lunch I had the chicken sandwich and that was great too. The restaurant made sure to get us our food as quickly as possible so we could return to the conference in time which was very considerate. I will 100% visit again when I return to Ft Lauderdale.
We tried this restaurant out while staying in Fort Lauderdale for 2 days. It was so good we came back for 2 more meals!!! Why mess with perfection! Great service, food and location. Prices are good too!!! Definitely will be coming back! Shout out to Derek Fogelstrom manager, and the awesome team here!! We will be back! Recommend the avocado toast, French toast, and braised shortribs!
Talk about good atmosphere, GREAT food, and awesome service. Checking all the boxes at this place. Four different meals and everything was delicious. 🤤 We had a tiny issue with silverware but the manager, Derek Fogelstrom, was INCREDIBLE and got things sorted out within an instant. He even went as far as coming to our table and offering us a drink on the house. Talk about UNREASONABLE HOSPITALITY. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good food with a gorgeous view of the beach. No brainer. We will for sure be back again! Thank you Derek and Casablanca team!
Good afternoon Greg, We just wanted to take a moment again to thank you so very much for making every detail for the celebratory dinner of Zachary and Anna‘s engagement so perfect! You set up the room perfectly, which created a beautiful atmosphere to bring our families together and celebrate their engagement. The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was exceptional. The passion that you demonstrated to make this event so special for us was so greatly appreciated. Lots of love and appreciation, Leslie and Larry Boritz.
Really amazing service here at the Casablanca Cafe. The ambiance was great and the food was tasty. There was an issue with my dessert and the manager tried to refund me, but there was an error issuing the refund back to the card I used. They went all the way as to send me refund to my address as I was visiting from out of state. Would definitely return again.
We just stopped at our favorite place in Fort Lauderdale when we come here. Casablanca Café. Nothing disappointed us. It was fabulous. Daniela was our waitress, and she is absolutely wonderful. Very accommodating, very attentive, and knows what the customer really wants and needs. We have been coming to this little gem of a place for the last 10 years every time we land in Fort Lauderdale, it’s the first place we stop. Thank you, Daniela for a great service and a wonderful lunch.
I ordered the blackened grouper and was surprised by how how wonderful the dish was. It was served on a bed of flavorful rice and contained shrimp and muscles and almonds along with the delicious grouper. It was a meal to remember.
Excellent dinner. The tastes and experience was amazing.. Ryan our server was fantastic.. he put up with our backwards way of ordering with a smile. It was a great experience I highly recommend not missing out on this place!!
Looking for a brunch spot ahead of a show I'm in, I wanted to treat my family to a special time. Thankfully, Casablanca Casa delivered. The wait was a bit long when we went on a Sunday, not because tables weren't available, but because the singular hostess was busy; same thing with long check-ins from the server, Patrick, who was a phenomenal attendant. The food was delicious, particularily the mussels were a standout, and the Churrasco steak and eggs. The drinks needed some ... massaging to be tasty, so thankfully the service staff was willing to work with us. The worst aspect is if you're driving, the parking situation is abysmal - if you're unwilling to pay the $25 parking fee at the hotel next door. Otherwise, the outdoor seating area is a bit tight, but between its charming design and beautiful view of the beach, I'm glad to have dined here. Plus, it's in a walkable, easily accessible, multi-modal area with outdoor seating on a beautiful streetscape that makes it even better.
What a great place. The food’s lovely, the location perfect (view of the beach and sea) but it’s the staff that make it so memorable. In particular, special thanks go to Cory and Zaklin for their impeccable service and welcoming charm and conversation. Highly recommended if you’re in Fort Lauderdale!
I mean what could be bad! The view of the ocean while eating breakfast is amazing. Food and service very good. I wish we were in town long enough for dinner. We will be back!
Best cappuccino I’ve ever had! Ryan was fantastic, so attentive, a great barista, and even gave us some history on the location. Greg kept my husbands coffee cup full. Very cool vibe with an oceanfront view. 100% recommend!
Absolutely had a great time here the food matched the aesthetic. The service was absolutely fantastic and their craft cocktails were great. I ordered a coffee rub steak and blackened shrimp and my compadre ordered the tortellini. Unbelievable!!!!

The food was really really good , super warm and friendly atmosphere. Kayleigh was awesome ! She gave great recommendations. Onion soup and escargot appetizers were great. Bartender was very very welcoming when we started at the bar to listen to the live show . Felt like i was at grandmas home that’s how warm everything was.
Great atmosphere! Incredible service, & delicious Moroccan-based food! We started eating before we took the photo (to know it was awesome!) and we took no prisoners, lol Andre was an incredible waiter!
The hot honey chicken sandwich was delicious! Outdoor seating right along the beach. Great vibes.
We had such a great dinner at Casablanca in Fort Lauderdale! Our waiter, Ryan, was fantastic—super friendly, full of great suggestions, and really made the night special. The escargot with its Parmesan crust was out of this world—easily some of the best we’ve ever had. My wife’s salmon was cooked perfectly, and I tried the mahi (which I don’t usually order) and it was absolutely delicious. Between the food, the atmosphere, and Ryan’s amazing service, we left already talking about when we’ll come back. Highly recommend!
My first time here and it wont be my last for sure! Love the energy of the staff and managment, Derek got us off the street and in the perfect seat over looking the beach! And Nicole was fast and attentive and made the meal that much better! Will be back with friends and family for sure!
If I could give 10 stars, I would! Fort Lauderdale got it right when they voted this the best date night! We had a phenomenal time. The dinner plates were top notch dishes (we had the walnut chicken and the mahi-mahi) the ambiance was beautiful, and the piano bar is such fun entertainment. We were highly impressed with this restaurant and its history. It's our new favorite place!
Sat outside at the bar - view of the ocean, great location. Bartender effectively served, but not concerned with creating a welcoming environment. Cuban sandwich was good, bloody Mary was very good. Overall would go again and try something new and maybe wait for a table.
This was one of the best restaurant experiences in this area. Food was delicious. Service is welcoming, fast and friendly. Atmosphere is very authentic and view on the ocean is great, both from the cozy outdoor patio and from the inside, if you prefer a/c on a hot day. Onion soup was great 👍 , Calamari plate is a must, it comes with shrimps and onion rings and delicious sauce. Burger and pita wrap were great too! 10/10
I recently dined at Casablanca, and I had a fantastic experience. I was seated beachfront, which provided a stunning backdrop for the evening. My server, Ryan K, truly made the evening special. Despite my indecisiveness, he was incredibly patient and helpful, taking the time to explain each dish in detail. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made me feel welcome and valued. I highly recommend Casablanca not just for the beautiful location, but also for the exceptional service. Thanks, Ryan, for making my dinner memorable!
This restaurant is fabulous! Great location with ocean views. The food is great! James is a great server, attentive but not intrusive, and a great personality. Great wine too. Highly recommend this place for a meal or drinks.
Casablanca Cafe stands out as one of the top restaurants in the Fort Lauderdale beach area. During my recent visit for a light lunch, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and flavorful offerings. The fish tacos, priced at $18, exceeded my expectations with their substantial size and accompanied sides of coleslaw, vegetables, guacamole, Mexican-style rice, and black beans. Despite the bustling atmosphere, my server was exceptionally friendly and ensured a positive dining experience. The ambiance, with a view of the beach and refreshing breeze, added to the overall enjoyment. Casablanca Cafe undoubtedly delivers hearty and delicious meals at reasonable prices compared to neighboring establishments, making it a standout choice for dining in the area.
Food is delicious and it's cooked with love. Best restaurant experience here. Must come here during your Fort Lauderdale days. Friendly staff :) Beachfront restaurant. A/C inside if ever you want to enjoy the ocean view from the indoors. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Loved the food going back tomorrow. Live music in the evening 🎵
I had such a wonderful breakfast at Casablanca Café on Fort Lauderdale Beach this morning! The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and the ocean view makes it the perfect spot to start the day. The food was absolutely delicious and super healthy Even the small details, like the crispy bacon and the beautiful presentation, made the meal feel special. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server, Patrick, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was friendly, attentive, and had the kind of hospitality that makes you feel at home. He’s passionate about delivering an incredible experience for his customers. As “The Boat Boss,” I’ve dined at many places around Fort Lauderdale, but Casablanca Café is truly one of the gems. Whether you’re a local or visiting, this is a must-try spot right on the beach. I’ll definitely be back! Kim Sweers, The Boat Boss, Luxury Licensed Yacht Broker 🚤🌊
What a wonderful restaurant!! My wife and I had dinner there while passing through town Sits right across from the beach, with indoor seating, and wonderful outdoor seating. They've created a very comfortable atmosphere Service was top notch. Everyone was nice, and our server was very attentive Started with a French onion, along with the house bread basket. Both were delicious. For my entree, I had the rosemary chicken pasta; it was delicious! My wife had the walnut chicken and said it could be one of the best meals she's had Highly recommend
What an experience! Even though it was busy on a Tuesday evening we were sat inside quickly! Mike our server was truly amazing and kind, gave us all the best recommendations. Started with a French onion soup and finished with The mahi and blue crab and the shrimp scampi. Everyone should come and request Mike cause he made the experience a 12/10 night!
3/19/25—-Slowly, the Vrbo rental fiasco—where we had to flee by the second day—is becoming a distant memory. Things are looking up at the W in Fort Lauderdale. This morning, I woke up craving a salad. After days of eating out, I’m over restaurant food. But somehow, a salad still sounds like a good idea. Maybe my body is begging for mercy. Anyhow, I walked to a few restaurants but didn’t quite find the salad that called to me—until I remembered Casablanca. A quick check of their menu online revealed a Greek salad. That was it, my brain declared. So, off I went. When I arrived, the hostess directed me to the bar to place my order. This place is always busy. I took a seat at the bar, where a bartender with beautiful, flowing jet-black hair took my order. While waiting, I decided to take a stroll upstairs—I’d always been curious about the inside of this building. The upper level was just as beautiful, with a great view and a much quieter atmosphere. For a moment, I felt transported to Spain, surrounded by the restaurant’s architecture, the red Spanish roofing , and that timeless Mediterranean charm. Every time I walk or drive by, this building is a pleasure to look at. In the end, I took my Greek salad with chicken to go—plus a side of French fries, because balance. Back at my hotel, I enjoyed my meal in comfort. There I was, sitting outside in the balcony looking out to the beach with my dog, enjoying my Greek salad and French fries like a true culinary diplomat, when suddenly—La Isla Bonita started playing in the distance. Ah, Madonna, the honorary ambassador of all things vaguely Spanish. Only she could make a song about a dreamy island romance while sprinkling in just enough Español to make it feel authentic. She’s been out here rolling her R’s and serenading us about San Pedro for decades, and honestly? We let her. Because let’s be real—no one else could turn a few scattered Spanish words into an international hit and convince half the world they suddenly needed a red rose, a flamenco dress, and a dramatic sunset to twirl under. In that moment, as I sat there with my salad, I too felt like I was on La Isla Bonita—except instead of dancing in the sand, I was eating feta cheese in my hotel balcony at the W. Close enough!
Valerie was extremely engaging and helpful. We enjoyed Valerie and the wonderful atmosphere at the Casablanca on Fort Lauderdale Beach that we uncharacteristically returned for a second night. And, in retrospect, wished that we would have returned a third night. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. Thank you for a memorable vacation experience
Excellent choice for dinner tonight. We just arrived from Naples FL, thought we would do a bit of exploring. The Casablanca — showed up on the search! What a pleasant experience! The choices we made were the best. The trout was tasty and the Branzino paella had so many wonderful flavors. Ryan was very attentive —directing us to the upstairs “best” table in the restaurant—with a direct view of the Atlantic. The pesto with the bread—just like mamma use to make! Bob DeMaria
We ate on the brick patio, overlooking the beach (pic from table). Food was excellent. I had a salad that was loaded with delicious olives. The hose dressing was also excellent. My wife had poached eggs and grits. Both excellent. Andrea was our server and he was friendly and courteous. Nice guy! Will be back for sure
The food was delicious as usual. The service was top notch as usual. We make it a point to go every year when we come to FL. I forgot my Coach purse with cash inside. I didn't realize it was missing till the next day. I didn't even think I brought there. I also didn't think I had any ID in it. I called to ask, and a sweet man said "Jeanne " we have been waiting for you to call. Apparently I had my AARP card in side, and I had a few other odd items so they knew I was old. Lol I went and picked it up. The staff was so nice and happy to help. Also, everything was still inside it. I can't thank them enough for their kindness helping this absent minded lady. We are looking forward to going back.
Had an amazing experience at Casablanca Café! Q and Christina were our bartenders and they were incredibly attentive and friendly, making the whole night even better. The food and drinks were fantastic – the birria quesadillas were absolutely amazing, the escargot and lemon drop martini were on point, and both desserts (Nutella Tiramisu and Chocolate Lava Cake) were delicious. Special shoutout to Derek, the manager – you can really tell he’s passionate about the restaurant and it shows in the atmosphere and service. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!
A Slice of Paradise at Casa Blanca 🌴 Stepping into Casa Blanca felt like being whisked away to a coastal retreat outside the U.S.—a tranquil escape wrapped in ocean breeze, heartfelt hospitality, and culinary excellence. From the very first moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and care, setting the tone for what became an extraordinary dining experience. ✨ The shining star of the night was Rayan K, whose service wasn’t just excellent—it was transformative. He anticipated every need with grace and made us feel not like customers, but honored guests. Rayan’s attention to detail and friendly demeanor elevated the entire experience to a whole new level. 🍽️ As for the food—every bite was a revelation. The shrimp cocktail was perfectly chilled and flavorful, the crab Benedict rich and indulgent, and the catch of the day? Unforgettable. Each dish was beautifully crafted and bursting with freshness. It wasn’t just a meal, it was a celebration of the sea. 🌅 Paired with the stunning ocean view, Casa Blanca offers a vibe that’s both breathtaking and soothing. Whether you’re seeking a romantic evening or a serene moment to soak in Florida’s beauty, this is the place to be. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s an experience you’ll want to relive again and again.
We were lucky enough to be here on Super Bowl Sunday, the slowest day of the year for this popular place! We got a table on the patio right away, fantastic service, and a delicious meal. We loved the chicken & the short ribs, and the Casablanca salad was the best I've ever had! The waiter was wonderful about working with the chef to accommodate my seafood allergy and other food preferences. Also recommend the key lime pie, a local specialty. We were lucky enough to find a parking space on the next street, though that's unlikely at any other time. Beautiful Moroccan-looking building and decor, fantastic view of the beach & ocean across the street. Highly recommend!!
We had Mike as our server, and he was great. Neither of us are big seafood people, or gin drinkers, but his recommendations for the mahi mahi cake and the cucumber gin cocktail were on point. Can’t recommend this place enough. Great food, ambiance, staff, location and view. Live music was great as well.
Love. Love. Love this place. Stopped in for a late lunch and got seated at a perfect spot to watch the waves and people. What a cozy atmosphere. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and knowledgeable. Our server Ryan was the best! If this wasn't our last day, we probably would have visited him everyday. We only had a few items, but they were all perfect. We started with a calamari, followed by a French Onion Soup and Key lime Pie! Great vibes, service and food. Easy to see while this place has been around for awhile.
What a great place! Both food and atmosphere were amazing. Delicious food while watching the beach and listening to the piano player. Our server Joel could not have been any better.!! He was awesome.
I’ve been to Casablanca cafe 3 times recently and no matter the time or day the ambiance is always incredible! I really enjoyed my grouper and French onion soup. Our server, Kaylee was so sweet and attentive. Can’t wait to check out the breakfast!
Cory was OUTSTANDING period. We're coming back for dinner. AC was on too high for frigid morn. Welp... lunch was BETTER for my bacon cheeseburger & waffle fries with yummy ranch ☆☆☆☆☆. Wife loved shrimp in her salad. C u at breakfast asking for server Patrick (great guy)
On vacation in Ft Lauderdale and someone had recommended the Casablanca Cafe for happy hour. Wow! Did we luck out! Not only were the martinis and appetizers top notch , but the bartenders, Valerie and Christina, made our visit that much more enjoyable. Just watching them work their magic and interact so genuinely with the customers was such a pleasure. Had so much fun that we visited another time on our trip even though that’s a definite rarity. You will not be disappointed!
Always have wonderful service with Christina and Kara and all the bartenders. They are friendly, attentive, and make each visit fun. And a shout out to Greg who makes the whole place work so well. Service, staff, and live music with talented musicians combine to make Casablanca a very special jewel on the beach.
The last occasion to dine at the Cafe was about 10 years ago, and as we were in Fort Lauderdale again we made a point of dining here again. We were not disappointed by the passage of time! Jaqueline, the hostess, was a delightful start to the evening. Friendly, engaging and professional she allowed us a choice of two tables. Our selection resulted in our meeting Yoshi, a wonderful young man who immediately impressed us with his demeanor, broad smile and his Peruvian heritage, which we regaled in as we had a background with s number of Peruvian experiences. Cocktails- lemon drop martini, and Sitting in the Shade Spritz (very tasty). Dinner was delicious: -Escargot appetizer; -Blackened Florida Grouper, a medley of grouper, mussels, shrimp, rice, nuts and a delicious coconut curry cream; -Churrasco Surf and Turf, delicious sliced skirt steak, an amazingly flavorful grilled shrimp skewer and Peruvian saltado. The real star was the hospitality shown by Yoshi. He was personable, engaging, all the while providing smoothly efficient service of the dinner. We enjoyed each stage comfortably and relaxed, and Yoshi still able to answer a question if we had any, always available. The prices are quite reasonable; value for the dining dollar is very good. We heartily recommend Casablanca Cafe for a full range of dining from brunch to dinner with Mediterranean/SE Florida spirit.
Sunday evening we came up at 6:50 on a whim and were seated at the most perfect table over looking the ocean to the right of the main adjacent patio. Daniela from Macedonia was an excellent server and was very kind. We ordered everything she recommended. So happy at this new fav spot. The food is home style nice and fresh. All the desert had was super fresh berries and fruit. All the veggies were fresh, meats cooked nicely etc
I have to be completely honest and transparent. We came from out of town and chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. To my surprise this restaurant did not disappoint at all. Chris, Mgr was refreshing, compassionate, professional and customer savvy for all occasions. Bless you, my friend. Andrew, server was kind, attentive and very skilled in the custer service department. Together, these two guys made our anniversary truly memorable. 🤎🙏🏽
We started our Sunday morning at the cutest little café with a group of four. I especially enjoyed the avocado toast (add the fresh jalapeños—trust me!), and the kids are still talking about the French toast with the “sweet stuff.” The water view with a cup of coffee in hand is incredibly relaxing, and the building itself is charming—especially the porch. Pat took such great care of us that first day. We loved it so much that we came back the next morning before heading out on a cruise. This time we had a party of eleven, which is never easy, but manager Chris, Kayla, and our sweet (and patient) waitress Sage made everything feel effortless. Chris checked on us multiple times and made sure we had the perfect spot. He even offered to close the outdoor shades, but coming from Ohio in November, we extra appreciated the warm sunshine. I visit FLL often for work and have walked by Café Casablanca many times. I’m so glad I finally stopped. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the area. It’s a rare and special combination: a beautiful ocean view, delicious food, and—most of all—genuinely kind staff. A heartfelt thank you to Pat, Cabe, Kayla, Sage, and Chris.
Casablanca Cafe is a fantastic beachfront spot in Fort Lauderdale. We stopped in for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it — the food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The ocean views are hard to beat and make for a relaxing start to the day. Service was attentive and friendly without feeling rushed. Prices are what you would expect for a prime beach location, but the setting and overall experience make it worthwhile. They’re open all day, and the atmosphere stays lively and upbeat. A great choice whether you’re starting your morning or stopping in later to enjoy the view and energy of the area.
My first time here and it wont be my last for sure! Love the energy of the staff and managment, Derek got us off the street and in the perfect seat over looking the beach! And Nicole was fast and attentive and made the meal that much better! Will be back with friends and family for sure!
We had such a great dinner at Casablanca in Fort Lauderdale! Our waiter, Ryan, was fantastic—super friendly, full of great suggestions, and really made the night special. Had dinner here Saturday night and it was such a nice evening. Old world, charm with fresh flavorful cuisine and live entertainment one of the best places in Fort Lauderdale for date night. Great happy hour too. Monday through Friday from 4 to 7. Brunch is served every day until four. Prices are reasonable, and you are directly across from the beach right on A1A.
I dont usually leave reviews online, but after finding this gem of a beachfront restaurant, i felt overly compelled. My wife and I stopped in while we were on vacation, just hoping for a solid dinner and a good vibe. The only thing that was terrible was that we didnt find this place until our last night. The place just feels right when you walk in. Great ambiance —lively without making you shout across the table. Beautiful patio. And live music! We settled in quick. The food? Legit. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made by people who care about what they’re putting on the table. We were absolutely those people negotiating over the last bite. But honestly, what made the night was our waitress, Kayleigh. She was dialed in from the start. Professional, confident, witty and just genuinely pleasant to be around. Not fake-cheery. Not going through the motions. Just a great attitude and sharp instincts. She knew the menu, made perfect recommendations(strongly suggested the crab crusted mahi and the scallop entrees. They held up to her praise) and somehow always showed up at the exact right time. Water low? There. Question about a dish? Already answered. It felt effortless. You can tell when someone takes pride in what they do — and she absolutely does. We left impressed, full, and already saying we’d come back next time we’re in town. Great food, great atmosphere, top-tier service. Vacation dinners don’t always hit like that… this one did. Find this place if your in Fort Lauderdale, find Kayleigh if she's working.
Casa Blanca Café is simply spectacular! The location is unbeatable, right in front of the ocean with such a beautiful view. We went for both breakfast and lunch, and on both occasions we were lucky to be served by the same waiter, Patrick, who made the experience extra special with his excellent service and attention. The food was outstanding — everything we tried was fresh and delicious. A must-try dish is the Pan Roasted Mussels, absolutely incredible! If you’re visiting Fort Lauderdale Beach, this place is a true gem. Super, super recommended!
Loved our time at this place! It is one of my favorite restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale. Ryan S is always amazing and they treated us like family. Food was delicious please make yourself a favor and order the Birria tostones and the tiramisu and Nohemie at the bar always makes the best drinks💕
We had a very lovely evening. The drinks and the food were excellent. The ambiance was outstanding. We were seated on the terrace with a view of the sea. The greek lady at the reception, Jacqueline, was very friendly and extremely patient. It was a very busy day, yet she still made every effort to seat all guests in a welcoming and professional manner. Many thanks for that.
I started my early evening for Happy Hour around 430PM. I was greeted by Mike my server when I grabbed a high top table near the bar. Mike was awesome, not only did he take my order he chatted a bit and also sold me on trying something different than I have had. That being Escargot. Yes snails. They are on the happy hour menu. Let me say my life is changed thinking they wouldn't be good or be too chewy or some other texture things. They were so good soaked in a garlic butter with cheese and ciabatta on the side. I also had the calamari and mussels. Everything was fantastic. I was also surprised to learn that there was a piano player playing at 7PM (again suggested by Mike). Not that i had anything else going on I stayed and the performer was amazing. I'm here a few more nights and now i know a good place to get some fine food and a cool vibe. Thanks Mike!
Wonderful place for dinner. Noisy in the bar area, but we got a table on the porch in front. We could hear the entertainment just fine with the speaker system they have. Cocktails were excellent. Not sure of the name but it was rum, pineapple juice and coconut milk with delicious fruit garnish (see pic). Got the pork sliders which were spectacularly delicious. Also got the cheese tortellini which was very good. Worth the wait
Our first experience was welcomed with a couple of challenges. A manager visited our table and expressed their concern about the experience we had. They even welcomed us back. We visited a few days later. We were greeted by a different manager who made sure this experience was wonderful. It was wonderful and so much we'll be back for a piano performance. We've seen this place busy every time we pass it on our beach excursions. We are happy to now know why. This place is great!
The locals mentioned Casablanca Cafe, and it was the best. It has some history to it, so check that out. It was nice, calming, and our table looked out to the ocean. I tried everything as is. The pancakes had a pumpkin spice flavor to it to me and I was in love. The cheddar grits...very yummy. My sausage was super fresh. My expresso martini was absolutely the best. I was sleep after this breakfast. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Casa Blanca Café is the kind of place you hope to find in Fort Lauderdale. Not a touristy trap. A legit restaurant with real food, strong drinks, and a vibe that feels earned. We came in for happy hour and grabbed a high top with a front-row view of the duo: piano player and singer. Instant win. The happy hour deals are worth showing up for alone, especially if you like your classics done right. The martini came garnished with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives; they were delicious. Not an afterthought, not a gimmick. Then there’s the $8 Four Roses Old Fashioned, which is hard to beat anywhere, let alone in a place with live music and this kind of energy. For appetizers, we went Mediterranean and it was the right call. The duo dip (hummus and baba ghanoush) came with olives, cherry tomatoes, and fresh, lightly grilled pita. If you want a clean, satisfying start that still leaves room for dessert, this is it. Everything tasted fresh, and you can’t fake that. Then we moved to the Branzino “Paella.” Quick clarification: this was more seafood rice than traditional paella, but once you accept it for what it is, it’s outstanding. The branzino filet was cooked perfectly, moist and flaky. You know it’s fresh when it tastes like fish but never smells fishy. The next-level detail is that the filet rests on a red sauce that gives the dish the right kind of flavor bomb. The filet is stuffed with rice, shrimp, mussels, and calamari fritti (golden, breaded calamari rings). It’s a twist, and it works. We closed with the Nutella tiramisu, which was exactly the right finish. Happy hour, tasty cocktails, appetizers that go the extra mile, a creative spin on a classic dish, and live music, Casablanca checks every box. Big kudos to Greg, the general manager. It was busy, the bartenders were moving fast, and Greg still made it a point to make us feel like we were the only guests in the restaurant. He rolled up his sleeves, supported the team, and led by example. That kind of leadership shows up in the experience. Make it a point to visit Casa Blanca. Not only when you have out-of-town friends in town.
This is a nice restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating setback just from the beach. They had some live music, which was great while I was there. I sat upstairs, which was much smaller seating area. Even though it was smaller, it was still a very noisy restaurant. I tried their lemon drop martini. Next time I would probably skip it. I would definitely try a different type of drink. For the entrée I had the scallop carbonara. It was overall well done but a very hefty portion. I probably should’ve just ended the meal there. I went ahead and went for dessert and tried the chocolate lava cake. I thought it was delicious, but it was a lot of food. My only complaint was that I think the food from the time it was prepared to the time it was delivered, there was probably some delay with a scallop dish, not being particularly hot and the ice cream on the chocolate lava cake was at least half melted by the time I got to me. It was not a hot night. The service was fine. I would definitely go back here again and probably try some other dishes. The restaurant is busy so you can expect a wait if you don’t have a reservation.
Great location. Breakfast service was awesome. Our waiter was fantastic. We ate there before we headed to our cruise!

Great options, great customer service, Mike was awesome, patient, helpful had great food recommendations. Everything was great out of 6 entrees only the burger was too well done and sometimes the music was too loud to talk amongst ourselves. Other than that, I will definitely go again.
Settled on an historic building with superb views from the covered front patio to the outdoor small 2nd floor deck is the site for this great restaurant being founded in Jova House, now home of Casablanca Cafe, It was the first home constructed on Fort Lauderdale Beach and is its oldest remaining structure. Designed in Mediterranean Revival architecture, the house is an eclectic blend of Spanish and Middle Eastern architecture origins. It’s to note the details from it’s flat roofs, arched openings supported by square columns, stucco exterior walls, massive offset chimney stacks, double-hung windows, ceramic tile decorations and round towers with conical roofs. Casablanca Cafe kept the feel of the original house after a renovation by incorporating the original working fireplace, wooden ceiling beams, spiral staircase and terrazzo floors. The food is very good after encountering an extended table lack of service oversight at which point after becoming aware the restaurant manager, Mr. Greg Rowley was quick to respond and apologize about it. We’ve ordered both the Pan Roasted Mussels Sun-dried tomatoes, chardonnay broth, garlic, parsley, blue cheese which it was delicious and the Swordfish Brava which consists of generous portion of a Grilled swordfish steak, iberico chorizo & patatas bravas, hazelnut romesco, preserved lemon aioli, olive & onion escabeche which it was also flavorful yet slightly overcooked and being paired with an Albariño “Rias Baixas”. Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 PM but is only served on the inside small bar area which it fills up very quickly. It’s to note that Greg offered Us a personal tour explaining the history of this special landmark, reflecting his passion and ten years + tenure for this business.
Nice place to grab a bite. Park at one of the garages near by and walk on in. 2nd floor offers good views of the beach and boardwalk area. The entertainment was pretty good. The best thing I tried was the French onion soup. The pesto bread was decent, the trout was ok. It was supposed to have salsa verde but tasted more like the pesto and oil from the bread. The grouper was tough and returned. Very grateful the service and manager took care of the issues otherwise this review would have been negative. I understand it can’t always be amazing food and sometimes the chef is having a bad night. Would try again
Great spot for good food in Ft Lauderdale...the food was good...we ordered 5 items of those 4 were nice...the only disappointment was the blue crab crusted mahi mahi...the dish was a soft fish with soft topping on soft mashed potatoes...it was lacking some crunch that would elevate the dish
We walked by this place daily and it was always busy no matter if it was morning, noon or evening so we figured we needed to see what the buzz was about. We actually walked up on a Sunday evening, there was live music and we did not have to wait for a table! That was a great surprise and even better was we got an ocean view seat! The menu looked so good we couldn’t decide what to order so we decided to get a mix of appetizers. We got full on those that we skipped the entrees and went straight to dessert! Everything was as tasty as it sounded on the menu. I have to be honest, I am so glad we sat outside- I walked inside to find the restroom and was immediately hit by the mildew smell. I know this is an outdoor restaurant, by the water, I understand that. However, I didn’t have that smell in any of the other restaurants along the strip. Maybe it’s an older restaurant but either way, the smell was very strong it burned my nose. Aside from that, everything was great! We actually want to go back to give the breakfast a try!
Great place for a brunch with your friends while enjoying the Fort Lauderdale beach view..place is not fancy but nice..food was delicious ..well cooked and prepared..and in general service wasn’t bad..although we had to ask for plates when they brought us the appetizers..definitely i’ll recommend it
I’ve been eating here for the past 15 years and if I could give 6 stars, I absolutely would. The food has always been consistently excellent, and it’s been one of my favorite spots for a long time. That said, I was really disappointed to see the clam chowder removed from the menu. It was honestly the best I’ve ever had — rich, flavorful, and something I looked forward to every visit. Such a shame to see it go. Still a fantastic place, and I’ll definitely keep coming back — just hoping the clam chowder might make a return someday!
The food was great! I think the pancakes are made with cinnamon or nutmeg, which made it extra yummy! I also ordered a classic breakfast plate with bacon and home fries. Plates here are huge! Good enough to share! My only con was it took time to get our drinks, but otherwise it’s a great place before or after hitting the beach!
This spot is definitely more about the atmosphere than the food. The view is amazing, but the dishes were a bit underwhelming. The jumbo cocktail shrimp had a texture that felt artificially enhanced, and it was $16 for 4 shrimp, which felt a little steep to me. The seafood linguine was just okay. The noodles were al dente, but the seafood was not the best part. The place can also get pretty loud during prime dinning hours.

The food was very delicious, no question. But we sat inside and the noise was unbearable. Noisiest restaurant we have ever been to. We couldn’t even hear the people we were sitting next to, and had to yell our orders to the waiter. I suspect if we had eaten outside then it would have been a completely different experience and much more enjoyable, however there was no available seating outside when we went.
We visited Casablanca Cafe on Christmas Eve with our family of four. When we arrived, the host told us there was a 45-minute wait and we saw people were waiting outside. We asked if we could wait at the bar instead. She said yes, but pointed out that the bar is not kid-friendly. We understood that, but given that it was Christmas Eve and there were very few alternatives, we accepted. Once inside, we noticed six empty tables. A very kind and professional waitress took excellent care of us, and the service we received from her was great. Overall, our experience at the table was great, food delicious! What was disappointing is that those tables remained empty until around 9:00 pm, while families were still being told to wait outside. The host was unhelpful and came across as unfriendly, and we were left confused as to why available tables were not being used. It’s a shame, especially on a holiday evening, to see guests waiting outside while tables sit empty. With better communication and hospitality at the front, this could have been a much better experience.
I ve been coming here for years loved there food and atmosphere. Best breakfast around but todays dinner was the worst .. my husband got the pork chop $34. It was 80 % fat. i got the maihi topped with crab . It arrived burnt on top. I sent it back got the grouper it was such a small portion the rice it sat on was tasty but fish had foul taste ..$80 I WONT GO BACK

Stopped by Cafe Casablanca and honestly left disappointed. The place has a nice vibe near the beach and our server was friendly, but the food just didn’t match what was advertised. I ordered a Cuban sandwich with heirloom tomatoes on the side sounded great but what came out was a very dry Cuban and a bowl of cut-up cherry tomatoes. Not even close. When I asked about it, the server said “that’s just what they call it,” which makes no sense at all. My wife ordered fish and chips, but the fish tasted like some random lake fish, and instead of actual chips it came with waffle fries. For the price, this meal should’ve been way better. Honestly, the only things that were good were the coleslaw, the waitress, and the fact that it’s close to the ocean. Everything else was basically zero stars. Two stars overall.

Honestly not sure why this place is so highly rated. It has a beautiful view and chill vibe but the service was kinda meh. I ordered a burger and the meat was definitely not good quality. The salad was sparse and the crab cake my mom got was definitely sad. Only redeeming thing was the potato wedges.
What has happened to Casablanca is heart breaking. We’ve been eating here for years. The food has gotten nearly inedible. The service is now like a sports bar. It used to be such a nice place. There was a nice menu and the service was excellent. I don’t know if it was sold or what happened but we’re just really sad to see it decline so rapidly. Each of the last three times we’ve eaten here has been worse than the meal before it.
This restaurant used to be a 12 out of 10. I don’t feel the menu is a good as it used to be. Service is definitely not top notch as it once was. Our main course showed up and we had kindly PILED the appetizer plates in the middle to make room, they weren’t removed on their own . I had to grab them and hand them over after we had started our meal. 2 ppl in our group ordered margaritas they weren’t full. We spent almost 100 per person. I am not sure that I will return anytime soon.
This was my first time at Casablanca, and unfortunately it was very disappointing from start to finish. I was dining alone and the food was genuinely bad. The Arnold Palmer had a horrible aftertaste and was barely drinkable. The calamari arrived soggy and was paired with a strange mustard dipping sauce that was completely unappetizing. The biggest issue was the quesa birria. It was served without the traditional consommé, which is a basic and expected part of the dish. When I asked about it, the server initially said she didn’t know what consommé was. After I insisted she check with the chef, I was finally told they don’t have it at all—yet the dish is still listed that way on the menu. I didn’t speak to the manager at the time because I was dining alone and didn’t want to make a scene, but the experience was still unacceptable—especially considering this was not an inexpensive meal. Overall, the food quality, lack of authenticity, and poor staff knowledge made this a regrettable first experience. It’s hard not to feel that this restaurant relies entirely on its fantastic ocean view to get people through the door, because it certainly isn’t for the awful food. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be returning.
Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be amazing. Ambience is still fantastic but the service is absolutely horrendous….If I could give this review no stars I would. I have never experienced such poor service at a restaurant….ever…..and we’ve gotten bad service here on more than one occasion!!! During our most recent visit we were seated at the piano bar. We waited at least 20 minutes for someone to take a drink order. We finally got up and went to the bar only to be told by the bartender we had to wait for a waiter. After another 15 minutes passed by we went to the outside bar and were told the same thing. We then literally stopped a waiter mid track and asked for a drink and he told us he couldn’t give us a drink, cause this wasn’t his section. Meanwhile, the waiter who was responsible for the piano bar brought two drinks over to folks seated across from us. So we stopped him and he mumbled something and walked away. The bartender watching all of this finally came out from behind the bar, apologized and got us two drinks. This happened pretty much happened all night. We also asked no less than 4 members of the staff to speak with a manager and finally had to flag him down ourselveves. The only reason we didn’t walk out was because of the guy playing the piano. He was really enjoyable. Don’t waste your money folks.
