Absolutely CANNOT OVERSTATE how much of a hidden gem this place is seated right inside downtown Las Olas. Service and Food quality was excellent! Our server Shah was an absolute delight and gave us perfect recommendations for the happy hour! They actually give you 2 for 1 FULL drinks AND the happy hour plates are FULL plates from 4-7 on weekdays. The Thai Lagers were really my favorite, but their Whiskey/Sake Mule was really good too! There was SO MUCH to try that we'll have to come back soon. 🥔🔥Thai Fries were TOO FIRE! 😁 We couldn't resist eating them before the photo...imagine funnel cake taste, but presented like a bloomin onion served with a side of thin, sweet dipping sauce. Vegetable curry was also EXCELLENT. If you want THAI spicy, ask them. I can't do it anymore 😅 but my partner loves it. I got the Red Dragon and a Spicy Tuna Roll. Both were DELICIOUS and more filling than I expected! 👍👍 ALSO!! They validate up to 2 hours of parking if you use either garage adjacent to their building! 5 stars hands up 🙌 we'll be back soon to try more on the menu! ***only suggestion- maybe a sake bomb or a sake carafe could appear on a happy hour menu in the future? 👀👉👈
We visited on a whim on a business trip and had a fantastic visit. Delicious Sushi, Delicious Thai Cuisine, amazing service (I believe her name was Shannon?) she made me feel safe/seen immediately by taking my order and immediately bringing gluten free soy sauce to the table.🩶 it was so good I ordered it to go the next night, saved a roll and ate it on my plane ride home! Definitely worth the stop. Celiac Safe/Gluten Free options available 🥰
The reasons that I like the Happy Hour here 1 I can sit anywhere not only bar area 2 food selection is full portion not mini or half portion 3. The prices are great food items happy hour only 7$ 4 drinks buy one get one free ( seethe info ) like 50% off not 2$ discount !!! 5 free parking for 2 hours at the building 350 & 450 Las Olas for the customer of Sky Thai Sushi 6 friendly staffs 7 nice and clean atmosphere Etc ,
Dined during the week so did the lunch menu. Nice size portions and reasonably priced. I would recommend the shrimp pad Thai, any curry and the chicken wonton soup. The fried pork with spicy papaya salad was delish.
The food is fantastic. Great sushi. Great cooked items as well. I highly recommend it. This is a bit of a hidden gem because it's a few blocks from all of the bars. It's well worth it. My go-to place when in Ft Lauderdale.
Chana was absolutely wonderful. The happy hour (even on Saturdays) was so awesome!! $7 bagel/cali rolls for like 8 to 10 rolls you cant beat it. Buy 1 Get 1 drinks??? Incredible. We had a great time and will always come back here on Las Olas for sushi. Thank you again to our server Chana!!!
When it comes to the name of the place, I definitely preferred the Thai over the Sushi. The Penang curry was phenomenal. The peanut flavor and the overall density of the curry were a perfect match. Penang Curry is my go-to for every first time in a new Thai place; just to be able to rate it. And this one gets five out of 5. I did go back the next day for their bento sushi and salmon bento lunch. It was good, ample portions, overall they provide great service.
🍣🍱 Okay so, One day I was on the hunt for a new sushi spot.. The place I had originally scoped out was closed 😕 so I typed into the maps app 🗺️ "Sushi & Sake near me" and thats when I found this spot. Deff a top fav for me, I come here almost every Friday, and every-time the homies come to visit I bring them here too! But there is more... I won't mention any names here, but I went to a sushi restaurant the other night on South Beach of all places and it didn't event compare 😞 to Sky Thai Sushi, it was 3x más dinero XD.. the hot sake wasn't even hot, It was lukewarm at best and the presentation was not on the level that Sky Thai Sushi delivers & Sky Thai Sushi is ALWAYS ON POINT! They are ALWAYS phenomenal with the taste as well, so I recommend this place five stars 10 out of 10 🙏🏽🙇🏽 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Tew is an awesome waitress and bartender. My coworkers and I come visit Sky Thai for happy hour on a regular basis and we love the food and atmosphere!! The hot sake is my favorite!! We also come for lunch time and it’s always crowded!!

First time at Sky Thai and enjoyed some curry. Ambiance was great, had great service, and the food was good. Will come back to try some of the soups and a few cocktails.

Omg!!!!! When I tell you, I loooovvvvveeeeeeee this place!!!! It NEVER fails!!!!! Everyone is nice, food is AMAZING, and there happy hour is the best I’ve ever had!!!! Bye one get one free drinks!! Don’t miss out and come here!!!
This was the greatest tasting place in this area. Wish we would’ve went the first day so we could’ve ate there again. Very clean, and friendly service. And it’s not $ 250.00 for 2 people. Food fresh and hot, and honestly 2nd best shrimp fried rice I had in the Entire state of Florida.
Sky Thai Sushi is an excellent Asian restaurant on Las Olas with a great mix of Thai, Chinese-inspired dishes, and sushi. Everything tastes fresh and high quality. They also have vegetarian and gluten-free options, which is a big plus. Consistent food, great flavors, and a solid spot for anyone looking for Asian cuisine in Fort Lauderdale.
we liked the service, atmosphere and the food. really loved the green curry. it had tofu and vegetables with no fish/oyster sauce which is great for vegetarians. staff is really sweet!
Sky Thai Sushi is a hidden gem! Fresh sushi, flavorful Thai dishes, and consistently great quality every time. The fish is fresh, portions are generous, and everything is made with care. One of the best spots on Las Olas—highly recommend!
Just came back from a trip and was in need of some sushi. We popped in here at Sky Thai. We were immediately seated and our server was pleasant and helpful. I liked how ambiance of the restaurant. The colors were eye catching. We ordered the Lady fingers, TNT spicy roll, Tamago sushi, salmon sashimi, conch sashimi, steamed shumai and a hot sake. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. They also have metered parking in the front of the establishment.
This place is worth a shot! 🤤 I didn't know what to expect and was very pleased with the food! You get nice portions! It was delivered fairly quickly as well! 🍣 You have a more basic selection of rolls you'd expect and also some interesting house specials! If you're looking for a solid sushi spot this is it!
I had a great experience at Sky Thai Sushi in downtown Fort Lauderdale. I ordered the lunch special with sushi, sashimi, and chicken teriyaki, while others in my group enjoyed fried rice with sushi and salmon with vegetables. The food was fresh and delicious, though the chicken teriyaki was just okay—still enjoyable. Despite the restaurant being busy with a large party and only one server handling everything, service was attentive, and the staff remained friendly and professional. A pro tip: if you park in the nearby garage, don't forget to get your ticket validated to avoid extra charges. All in all, a solid spot for tasty sushi and Thai dishes in a nice atmosphere. I’d definitely come back!
Went for lunch on Sunday (4th of July weekend) and there was no one there... everyone was out enjoying themselves, I'm sure! So it was clean, nice decor, food was fresh and hot, prices were good, wait staff attentive (though we were the only ones there) and they even had a lunch menu on the weekends! The only thing was, the sodas had a funny taste... someone in my party said "too much syrup", idk, my coke tasted like a mix of ice tea and coke... very strange, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Everything else, was really good! So if you stick to ice water or tea, or a mixed drink, you're good to go!

The food was excellent. The decor was beautiful. It would’ve been perfect except the music was blasting so much so that we had to ask them if they could lower the volume and they did…….for 5 minutes! The music didn’t match the setting at all. The service was sub par.
I had sky high expectations for this place, based not only on good online reviews, but also a friend’s recommendation. Expectations were not met. It wasn’t bad. The food just didn’t rise above average, and for these prices, middle-of-the-road 3-stars is real. The edamame should have been served hotter than it was, but the fried gyoza was cooked to perfection (I suspect they held the edamame while the gyoza cooked, allowing it to cool too much). The rolls were on par with what you’d get from a nice grocery store, but at $20 (or as high as $30) per specialty roll, I want something memorable…otherwise that grocery store made-fresh sushi delivers more bang for the buck. No complaints with the combo fried rice. I just left feeling a little disappointed. Service was good, and that’s often where a restaurant can drop a star or two, but for me this visit, the food just didn’t shine.

When I dumped the rice from the pineapple it didn't even fill half the container. Plenty of chicken, 3 pieces of shrimp, maybe 3 chunks of pineapple TOTAL. Things to consider before ordering this dish. For 23 bucks this leaves a lot desired. I feel let down.
This is crazy. I’m allergic to rice and cannot accommodate it. So I took all the sushi out of the rolls and they were OK with that The fish was pretty decent and definitely frozen, but it was good. Let’s start with the salmon now after I take all the rice off.
Sky Thai Sushi has sadly gone downhill. The restaurant was severely understaffed, leading to slow service and a frustrating experience. My pad see ew was dry and bland, a far cry from the vibrant flavors this place used to offer years ago when it was awesome. The calamari was bland with no flavor, adding to the disappointment. The edamame was decent with their own sea salt, but not enough to redeem the meal. I overheard multiple customers complaining about the food and lack of service, which echoed my own disappointment. Hopefully, they can turn things around, but I won’t be rushing back.

Terrible. No taste, or spice. Multiple pieces of egg shell in my food.
