I have worked multiple events (weddings and corporate events) as an Emcee/DJ for events at Fish Market. The catered food was always wonderful and staff..class act. Last night, my boyfriend and I had the night off for Valentine’s Day and booked a reservation to have the full dining experience for ourselves. This was his first time at Fish Market. The hostess and server were very accommodating and kind as we were sat early and menu options were thoughtfully explained. Each course was so flavorful.. from the She Crab soup and delicious fresh bread dipped in Tomato basil pesto to the surf and turf then coffee crem brûlée… Absolutely delicious and five stars to the chef. This is now a definite favorite for dining options in the Fort Mill area. Thank you for the perfect Valentine’s meal. We will be back!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Fish Market. We started with the crab dip, which was rich, creamy, and full of real crab flavor. We also ordered the homemade bread with tomato oil topped with nut-free pesto, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, warm, and packed with flavor. I had the New York So(b)ur mocktail (chilled black tea, maple syrup, lemon juice, aquafaba, and pomegranate juice), and it was a standout — refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully crafted. For dinner, I enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, perfectly cooked and flaky with a buttery finish. My husband had the stuffed flounder, which he loved. Both entrées were seasoned wonderfully and tasted incredibly fresh. For dessert, my husband ordered the brownie sundae, which was warm, rich, and indulgent — a perfect way to end the meal. Our server, Justine, was excellent — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The manager, Joseph, also stopped by our table to check on us, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly welcomed. The level of hospitality here really stands out. Great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back!

Food was well presented and delicious. The service was great. Jess was awesome. Definitely should be on your visit list if in South Charlotte / Fort Mill / Tega Cay area they have a chicken and waffles that was top shelf. Shockingly it beat out my west coast favorites and my NYC favorite which is difficult to do indeed.

This place is such a gem in a quiet little town. My server was Nina and although the bar area got extremely busy, she took great care of me. Everything was delicious starting with the Caprese salad...perfectly balance of flavors caused this to totally disappear. Be very careful with the bread they serve...you can easily consume multiple servings it is so good. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and the compliment of the ginger risotto, Asian tomato relish, and sweet soy glaze made for a wonderful dish. Great service and incredible food!!!

An Unforgettable Event with Exceptional Service! I had the most amazing experience at The Fish Market in Tega Cay, SC! In just one week, all while I planned this from New Jersey, Selina helped me pull together my mom’s 90th birthday celebration, and it could not have been more perfect. Selina was responsive, easy to contact, and even sent me photos of the venue so I could match the décor. She gave me early access to decorate and was right there making sure every detail was flawless, from printed menus to personally cutting cake for each guest. Her staff was outstanding! Lorelei was a godsend, helping me with décor and flowers on a tight decorating timeline. And Ashley’s sweet disposition made everyone feel so welcome. And the food! Guests are still talking about that salmon! Every dish was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. For the level of service and quality we received, the price was an absolute bargain. We received truly high-end service without the high-end price tag. My mom was thrilled, my guests were happy, and I’m beyond grateful. Thank you, Fish Market! You have a customer for life!

Return visit. Food has always been consistent and delicious. Service again was great. Parking can be tough so give yourself time to find parking. They have a few outside dome seating for a party of 8. Adding update to this review. Including current menu.

This is my first time at the fish market in Baxter village in Fort Mill. I made reservations for 7:00 for two people and was able to walk right in. I have someone in a wheelchair and was able to be seated at an appropriate table. The wait staff was excellent and so was the food. The fresh bread is phenomenal and they give you a tomato basil oil type dipping sauce with it. That was unique and delicious. We had the muscles for an appetizer which were great, The broth was divine. My friend had the Chilean sea bass and I had the Fig glazed salmon. Both were presented beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. Our waitress was very attentive and all around a great server. Will definitely be back!

This was an absolutely delightful experience. Our server, Dawn, took excellent care of us—she was friendly, attentive, and bubbly, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The lobster mac and cheese was delicious and generously packed with lobster. The chicken and waffles were fantastic, especially with the authentic maple syrup. The stuffed French toast was also tasty, and the apple compote was flavorful, though I think it would be even better with the summer fruits. Overall, this was an amazing experience, with delicious food and wonderful service.

Had a lovely lunch at Fish Market today. The food was perfectly cooked and the atmosphere was lovely (we sat outside). Our waitress was attentive and kind. Would recommend this place to others and return.

Tried brunch this afternoon. Great hospitality. Our beautiful server Jess was amazing. The gumbo, mimosas and dessert were delicious. The turkey avocado sandwich had great presentation but wasn't really to my liking. We will definitely be returning again, I want to try their chicken & waffles next!😍

We had our Rehearsal Brunch here and the atmosphere, service and food were excellent. The communication prior to our event was very good! I would not hesitate to book another event there!

Wow! I visited this restaurant for their restaurant week menu and I was impressed. I sat at a table in the bar and was welcomed by my friendly server. I ordered the crab cake appetizer with a remoulade and slaw, and it was REAL crab and very tasty. I got the lobster pot pie for my entree, and there was a chunk of lobster in almost every bite. My amazing server brought me sundried tomato bread with some sort of dip with oil that had a nice bit of heat to it but was not overwhelming. I finished with the sweet potato cobbler. Who knew sweet potatoes could be such a versatile and elevated dessert. All of this for a steal at $40 for restaurant week. Definitely recommend.

Enjoy their Queen City restaurant week menu. My husband and I both enjoyed our appetizers and meal. I had the lobster pot pie, wish they had more lobster in it but it was delicious. The trout was done perfectly!

First visit but definitely not my last! The atmosphere is great and the food was amazing. The staff was very welcoming. The outdoor space is wonderful for drinks and conversation. A friend and I met here for girl talk. We enjoyed every moment. We started out with crab and spinach fondue and fried Brussels sprouts. Bread and a dip of oil and balsamic vinegar was brought out. The bread looked great and was good but the Brussels sprouts were phenomenal! The fondue was good. Unfortunately, I feel like I can’t give it a good rating because I had fallen hard for the Brussels sprouts. I had Chilean sea bass over mushroom risotto. AMAZING!! The sea bass was perfectly cooked and paired great with the risotto. My friend had shrimp and grits. DELICIOUS! Wonderful mix of flavors. Texture was great. Perfectly seasoned. Portion sizes were spot on! As we wrapped up our meal, a dessert tray was presented. No pressure 🙂I selected the pineapple and pecan bread pudding. I had never had it before but it sounded interesting. It was very moist and flavorful. Initially I wasn’t sure if I liked but I continued to eat it as we talked. By the end of our conversation, it was all gone. So I guess I liked it 😁. This will definitely go on the list of places to go for date night! Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere!

We went for dinner last night and enjoyed our time. We didn’t do any reservations but got seated soon. The waitress took our order for two kids menu, one fish fingers and other mac and cheese. We started with fired calamari and cheese boards. After looking at the cheese board we ordered two glasses of wine. Enjoyed our Merlot and Chardonnay with the variety of cheese on the board. For the Entree we ordered shrimp and grits, it was delicious, we finished every bit of food. We will be visiting again to try other foods from the menu.

This was my first visit to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday dinner. The food and service were impeccable. The seafood items were very fresh with wonderful presentation. Our server was very friendly, patient, and happily accommodated a mushroom restriction. I love the ambiance and structure of the restaurant! Will definitely be back to try other menu items. We ordered the steamed muscles, she crab soup, Chilean sea bass, seafood scampi ravioli, and bread pudding with ice cream.

We love Fish Market. Food is always on point. Staff and service friendly and attentive Wonderful place for an adult dinner. Came during a busy Saturday night. We had reservations. The staff just kill it, man. The manager was roaming the front of the house, and made sure to stop at our table a few times to talk about a drink we were having, or the dish we were eating. Fish market for the win. I can't say enough about it

I attended a brunch for a group of 23 people. It was my first visit here. We had a choice of 3 menu items. ($14, including drink, tax and tip) I chose the Turkey Avacado Wrap. It was good, but I could not speak to the regular menu. The staff did an amazing job of taking care of this large group. The restaurant is very warm, inviting, and comfortable with tables and booths and a private room available. I'm looking forward to going back to try one of their seafood entrees.

We hosted a baby shower brunch in the private dining room. The staff was more than accommodating with the set up. As our guest arrived, they were offered coffee or a drink of choice. The food was available soon after we were to able to meet and great. Our hostess kept all food and drinks well supplied. I was more than pleased with my choices of brunch menu choices. Thank you to The Fish Market for an excellent day.

We went for the first time and had their brunch. Our waiter was amazing, we loved the location and ever6tasted delicious! I will say the food did take a little white to come out, but we didn't mind as we were enjoying our drinks and vibe. Already looking forward to our return!

In addition to being a very nice restaurant with delectable cuisine, Fish Market B&G is a great place to hold a private party. We had the opportunity to host a surprise birthday party, in their private dining room. Cozy atmosphere and tasty menu packages from which to choose. Our party of 32 people was in the hands of well skilled staff member, Bryn, who went above and beyond, to ensure all needs were met. Thanks to Selena and Jermaine, for being so helpful and making the planning process easy and smooth.

🐟What a great area the Fish Market is in. Cool, walkable village area feel, the Fish Market sits right in the middle of it. Indoor or outdoor dining available. Have your 🐶dog with you? Enjoy Pet Piv, attached to the Fish Market. Laid back atmosphere with yummy seafood options. GO FOR THR MUSSELS - you won’t be disappointed! Refreshing cocktails and yummy food make this a great stop for lunch or dinner while visiting Fort Mills, SC.

My mother and I had lunch at the Fish Market for the first time, and I’m so glad we did. It is such a beautiful restaurant, inside and out. The food and our waitress was amazing. We met Selena the owner and she was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

This has to be one of the best restaurants we have been to since moving here in 2002. The service, specifically Gabby, was impeccable. The food was marvelous. We were there for Queen's Feast, Charlotte restaurant week, and we ordered off that menu. I had the salmon which was fabulous and my husband had the chicken pot pie which was really good. Of course, I didn't have much as he very sparingly gave me a taste! Bread pudding for dessert was awesome. Oops. Almost forgot the she crab soup. Wonderful. And the pum runch, yes you read that right, was to die for. We will definitely be back. So glad we went.

My daughter took me there on January 5, 2026 on my birthday. I live in Atlanta and was there to visit my adult children. The food was amazing! I have to tell you that I'm a very picky eater and a food critic. When I tell you that everything was good up to the sweet tea. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Prices where good. They gave large portions of food. The food presentation was awesome. Thanks to the excellence chefs and waitress.

The Fish Market hosted a private celebration of life luncheon for my family, and worked with me to design a custom menu. Food and service was incredible. The staff was top notch and so accommodating! If I could leave more star ratings, I would. Highly recommend!

Me and my friend came for Thanksgiving dinner and knew nothing about this place until today, but when I tell you, they knocked the darn socks off of Thanksgiving meal! It was simply outstanding! The quality was just the best, the service, everything was just done well thank you thank you thank you. We’re planning on coming back to try the seafood. Can’t wait. Signed, One happy camper😄

My wife and I are new to the area and stopped by on a whim for lunch...EXCELLENT choice! We shared the bang bang shrimp, my wife had the salmon tacos and I had the fried fish sandwich. The food was delicious and the service was terrific. Will be dining there again for sure!

I had the pleasure of cleaning The Cleburne House today — what a beautiful property! After wrapping up, I stopped by The Fish Market to grab some food, and it was hands-down amazing. I meant to save it for later but ended up eating it all in my work truck! Great people, great food, and a great part of Fort Mill to be working in. Definitely recommend both The Cleburne House for events and The Fish Market for a top-tier meal. Jay - ZionShine Pressure Washing

We went for my sister in law's 30 bday brunch. Nice atmosphere. There weren't many people in our area. I started with a she crab soup which was pretty good. Very smooth with great flavor. I would've liked it a slight bit chunkier but nevertheless the flavor was spot on. My main entree was the Chef Special Benedict, which was prime rib. My opinion, the prime rib was slightly overcooked to my preference. The flavor was great. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Could've had a few more potatoes. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly. Food came out in good time. I'll give this place another shot. Seems like the perfect setting for a date night.

I believe the overall experience of customers is rather very good, I however, ordered grilled chicken breast that was so dry I couldn’t eat. Service was nice as was the place itself. Would give a chance next time for some sea food.

The first time dining here was amazing, off of the charts as you can see the photos. We were visiting from out of town on 3/11/23. We loved it so much we returned on 3/18 to celebrate our daughter's birthday. This experience wasn't as good, my daughter received a raw Filet Mignon. We let the server know, he agreed that it was raw. He removed it from the bill. Things got weird after that. A waitress with glasses came over and seemed upset with us. She was a bit rude towards us. She didn't have the best attitude, turned us off. Overall perhaps our second visit was an off night. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The food here was definitely delicious! The ambiance is nice and it's great to have the option of sitting outside to dine if the weather's good. We pretty much had to have a reservation because we saw several folks being turned away that did not have one but we were seated immediately and even arrived about 20 mins before our reservation time. Our waiter was nice but honestly the service didn't match the menu, ambiance, food quality or prices, which were all high...but the service a bit average. We went as a date night and definitely enjoyed it. Food was rich though and sat heavy to good to go prepared for that. We will try again though...we heard they have a great Sunday brunch!

Nice little place located in Tega Cay. Order scallops, muscles, and fish & chips. The fish and chips were soggy.... Everything else was fairly decent. Really enjoyed the muscles. Strongly recommend the she crab soup.

We had brunch today and overall the food is good but not great. My chicken & waffles were bland and lukewarm when brought out. The eggs benedict were decent with the shrimp and grits being the best meal. It’s good portions for the money but just didn’t like it enough to go back. The service and atmosphere was pleaseant. I see from reviews the chicken and waffles are a big Sunday brunch hit but for me was very bland tasting.

We went to the fish market for brunch on Sunday. We wanted to try something new. The place was nice. Monto Cristo sandwich served breakfast potatoes and a wild berry maple sauce. I ordered Meat lover omelet with potatoes. Also got biscuits and gravy. They were delicious to say the least. Service was good we sat in the bar area due to the restaurant was busy. still got great service in that area. Good place to go for brunch. Tell them Brian Sent ya! The Review Guru!

We enjoyed our dining experience. We started with the crab and cheese dip. It was good but heavy and filled us up a little too much. Chilean sea bass: this is their signature dish according to our server. It was perfectly cooked but the soy ginger glaze was way too salty. I’m surprised the chef approved it to be served. Fish and chips: also perfectly cooked. Very crispy and well seasoned. It comes with steak fries which were too thick and mealy. Had we paid closer attention to the menu, we would’ve requested regular thin fries (the ones that come with the kids menu because those were amazing). BBLT salad: I liked the fried Brussels sprouts the best. The dressing was surprisingly spicy and ruined the salad for me. My husband liked it though. Would swap for a different dressing next time or try a different salad. Kids chicken tenders and fries: the “tenders” were two thin chicken breasts. Very crispy and hot and well seasoned. The fries were the battered kind and so crispy and good. For $6.95, it also came with a drink and ice cream for dessert. Our server was great; very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive without being intrusive.

Very pleasant spot. Southern charm exterior. Outdoor seating. Had the Shrimp and Grits for lunch. Nicely done. Creamy... not spicy. Smaller shrimps than I’d expected... but plentiful. Service was okay. Would eat here again and recommend it. One more thing... parking is a breeze... plenty behind the building in the parking lot. Easy in and out.

It was my first visit. We went for Queens Feast week. The sirloin medallions are not recommended. The salmon was good. The desserts were mediocre. The crab soup was good. Drinks were great. I may try this place again in case the main menu is better.

Enjoyed a dinner on a Thursday night. It wasn’t overly busy and it was nice to be able to converse and not yell over dinner. Service was prompt and consistent. I love the non alcoholic options for those who don’t drink alcohol. It makes me want to come w friends so they have an option besides soda. The bread with the tomato tinged oil was a nice start to the meal. The risotto was very good despite the price point pretty high for portion and seafood provided ($38). I enjoyed the taste of my friend’s shrimp and grits better and will return to get this next time. The bread pudding was divine.

We went there for New Year’s Eve dinner. I got their signature sea bass (over cooked, very crusty bottom. You can tell it was seared off earlier then finished off on a sheet pan for service. The mushroom risotto was plain old ordinary button mushrooms. Some chanterelles or creminis would’ve really made it better) and my date had the stuffed salmon, no complaints. The vegetables had a nice bite to them. The brie cheese appetizer was super under par, hard as a rock. That cheese should be creamy and spreadable. The salmon appetizer wasn’t that great either, not much flavor at all. We did have a great waitress though! The best thing hands down was the bread that is made in house.

I went for dinner on a Saturday night with my friend. Our reservation was for 6:30, it was a little busy when we got there but not too bad. I got the shrimp and grits and she got the Red Snapper. The shrimp and grits were very good, the red snapper on the hand wasn't the best. It didn't have much flavor and she said that she would order the shrimp and grits next time. For drinks I got an ol smoky which was very good and an orange spritz which was borderline gross. The orange was super overpowering to the point that it tasted like cough syrup. My friend got sangria, it was okay not sweet at all though. For dessert we got pumpkin bread pudding which we were told by the waiter that it was the best dessert on the menu and was a seasonal item. It was good but nothing special. Our main issue was that the service was extremely slow. Our waiter was nice but his visits to the table were far between. The food came out relatively fast but when we went to order dessert we were told that it was a platter and not a menu. It took probably about 10 minutes for our waiter to bring out the selection. After we ordered, it took about 30 minutes to get our dessert. When it finally came, we didn't have any silverware and were told that they would grab some for us. We waited for at least 10 minutes and no one came (which sucked having the dessert in front of us and not being able to eat it). Eventually I had to go inside and ask at the bar for forks. Our waiter came to check on us around 10 minutes after that. I'm hoping that this was just an unlucky experience, and the service is not always like this. We both would love to go back and try some of the other items on the menu, but the service is definitely a turn off.

Highly recommend for brunch, not so much for dinner. Patio seating has charm, inside is pretty sterile. Music barely audible… vibe of the restaurant is off. Service is slow. Very slow. 2+ hour dining experience with a 25% full dining room. Had the snapper special. Overcooked and over seasoned. Crab dip and ricotta app were solid. Finished and sat for over 20 minutes before we could get our bill. No sign of management or supervision. Great pricing on the cocktail menu.
