The french toast was some of the BEST I've had. I would go back for just that alone. We also got the chilaquiles and those were subpar but not nasty. The atmosphere is great service is fantastic! Pricing wasnt too bad.

If you like chicken fried steak, you must order it when you come here. One of the best I've ever had.

Patricio was our server, he was very attentive to our needs. He ensured our food was accurate and timely to our table. Patricio was calm and patient in explaining the menu and accommodating to our dietary needs. He engaged in pleasant conversations and made sure our table was clear and glasses full without asking. Outside of his excellent service the food was delicious. The ribs were saucy and tender, failing off the bone. The mac n cheese was creamy and filling. The bread pudding was large and delicious. All in all 10 out of 10 recommend 👌 👏

We decided to have the Christmas Eve brunch this year at the 97 West Kitchen & Bar inside the beautiful and iconic Drover Hotel in downtown Fort Worth, TX. We love eating here and this brunch did not disappoint. I had the lobster omelette and my husband had the Wagyu beef burger with duck egg, and both were delicious. This was a four course meal and Christmas at the Drove is a very special time because the decorations are over the top beautiful.

One of the best restaurants we've ever ate at. The vibes 10/10. The food and drinks were absolutely incredible - especially the steak! So tasty! We did make reservations at least a week ahead of time to get a table. Very festive and fun during the holidays at night!

Perfection! We are huge fans of Hotel Drover- my husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we were truly so impressed by the professionalism, clear communication, beautiful setting and how the staff went above and beyond to make our event so wonderful. The food was excellent (as affirmed by many of our dinner guests). We had the filet with chimichurri sauce & the salmon. So naturally for our first anniversary, we had to go back to 97 West for dinner. We started off with the ceviche which was out of this world good and a generous portion, served with blue corn tortilla chips. So fresh and so many flavors blended so perfectly. We followed it up with the antelope, filet with chimichurri sauce & a side of brussels, all were cooked to perfection and were just melt in your mouth good. They provided us a complimentary dessert on an anniversary plate which was such a fun bonus! Our server was excellent and took great care of us as well. We rave about 97 West to whoever will listen and will likely be making dinner an anniversary tradition!

From start to finish, our evening at 97 West was perfection. We enjoyed expertly cooked steaks and fresh, flavorful fish, complemented by delicious sides that tied the meal together beautifully. The cocktails were creative, balanced, and absolutely spot-on. The ambience was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a memorable night out. Service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly taken care of. Highly recommend 97 West for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Fort Worth!

10 out of 10 experience! Went with my boyfriend and his parents and it was amazing! The drinks were phenomenal and I wish I could have gotten one of each! The appetizers were just the right amount and tastey! And my steak was cooked to perfection! We had a blast! The server was super friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner, and definitely get reservations as this place is lively and for good reason!

Breakfast during our stay at The Hotel Drover. We ordered the Tostadas and French Toast. Both are the best value on the menu and the quality for both was great! Definitely would order both items again and again.

Solid Brunch. Had the lobster omelette, chicken sandwich, deviled eggs and the Bloody Mary's. Lobster omelette wasnt bad but the chicken sandwich was top notch. It was smoky and flavorful and the texture was perfect. The croissant was flaky and buttery. Just really good. The b.l.t. deviled eggs weren't bad either. Just not amazing The Bloody Mary's were very spicy (like we asked for). Would have put 4 starts on the food but that sandwich really hit the spot. Oh and the potatoes. Usually I'm not excited about potatoes and rarely eat them all but we smashed these. They were also pretty damn good. Service was perfect and the restaurant had a nice ambiance and although it was loud because it was busy, we could still hear each other easily. I have to try dinner here but brunch is all I can rate on today.

REALLY DELICIOUS FOOD EXCELLENT SERVICE Overall my wife and I along with two of our grownup children had an amazing time here for dinner APR 2025. But I’ll just start on a bad note. We did have a reservation and arrived 5 minutes early. We were told to wait - and ended up waiting 25 minutes. And was seated 20 minutes after our reservation. That was a bit disappointing - and also caused us to be late for the rodeo. Well anyway. It did not ruin our experience here. The staff (Reception area) is generally a bit reserved - but professional. Our waitress was Dulce - just an amazing person. She really helped make this experience great. She is kind, polite, has a great humour, is attentive, respectful and professional. Yes. She really amazed us. I love the style and decor of 97West. Just a really great vibe overall. The menu is not too big, which I believe is a good thing. Better have a smaller menu and excel at it than have a lot of choices and be mediocre. And 97West excel at their food. They do have quite a nice selection of beverages. But it would be nice with a greater selection of wines from Texas. Could include Reddy Vineyard or Becker Vineyard. The food tasted amazingly good. For starters we had: BLT deviled eggs Shishito pepper crab dip Charcuterie board The eggs were ok - needed a little more spice - but not bad at all. The charcuterie board was big enough for 2-3 persons as a starter. For main courses we had: Bison tenderloin Broken Arrow Ranch Antelope 2 x Redfish All main courses were absolutely amazing. Definitely a place to dine if visiting the The Stockyards. Make sure to have a reservation :-)

The food here is perfect. I had the bison tenderloin. It's the best steak I've ever had. I sampled the mac and cheese. It was amazing. I've also had the brussel sprouts. They were amazing. Our group had a few other appetizers I forgot the name of but they were all amazing.

Here for an important business dinner. Four of us. Atmosphere was perfect. Fully decorated for Christmas. Food was excellent. We had fried green tomatoes and the pepper crab dip appetizers which were both perfection. I had the bison tenderloin which was perfection if only served sooner as it had cooled a bit. Others had the fillet, mahi and redfish. No complaints from anyone. Sides are huge. Wine list is good…markup is ~200% of retail for what I ordered. Thus not cheap but I’ve seen worse. Servers could have been more attentive. No question I will come back here in a future trip.

Wow wow wow. What an excellent meal and experience. We had a long day exploring the stockyards and booked a meal here before we went to the Friday night rodeo at the cowtown coliseum. From the moment we walked through the door til the moment we left, the service was impeccable. Our server (I really wish I remembered her name) was incredible and an absolute asset to the business. She was so warm and kind, showed a genuine interest in our vacation, kept our drinks topped up but also gave us space when we needed it. A true pro!! The food was everything an English person dreams of eating in Texas. The devilled eggs, fried green tomatoes and chicken fried steak were absolutely phenomenal. The portion was so big that I didn’t think I could finish but it tasted so incredible that I had to. I sat there and slowly ate everything because I refused to leave anything on the plate. My view of the terrace was stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for my meal. The place was so clean and comfortable. I would 100% come back given the chance.

Great experience and good food. Definitely need a reservation but a good time otherwise. Tooo is 3 drip in visit rejections due to events to get in with reservation, but worth it.

The Hotel Drover is absolutely gorgeous. We had an 11 AM reservation and drove over an hour & a half to eat at 97 West and spend the afternoon in FW. When we approached the hostess stand, we notified that we had one more additional party member and were met with a very difficult interaction. We were told that our reservation was actually at 12, and that a party of 5 couldn’t be accommodated. The manager was brought over, and then we were told that we were actually right - the reservation WAS at 11 & a party of 5 will be fine. We waited, were seated at 11:40, and our waitress was great. We received 2 $20 items that we didn’t order. We weren’t charged for it - they were great lol. Made up for the front door difficulty. Unfortunately, our card was charged twice for our meal. Pretty disappointing. Beautiful atmosphere, food was alright, not the best service/experience.

This place is so beautiful, the service is excellent and indoor atmosphere is fantastic. We loved the drinks and food, will return for sure. Only negative was outside seating was challenging with the tons of flies sounding our face and drinks. It was very unpleasant, we made the mistake of ordering food to eat outdoors. We quickly moved indoors because it was like being in a horror movie. We were attacked left and right, it was horrible. With the amount of class around you and the high end hotel, one would think they would regularly spray the lawn. It's Texas and you have to make it comfortable for visitors.

It was a surprise dinner on a Tuesday night. First time without kids in over a year. I made reservations for the DROVER! The Drover Hotel dining! I was really excited about it. I read many reviews before I decided to finally write this. One lady gave Drover 5 ⭐️’s while giving Risky’s 3 ⭐️’s. I would go back to Risky’s before I ever go back to the Drover. One guy gave Drover 1 ⭐️ with the understanding of how vital bad reviews can be on a restaurant. I am giving 3 ⭐️’s across the board, well, because I wanted it to be everything I was hoping for. It simply wasn’t. We started off with the raspberry jalapeño margarita. It looked great. I don’t drink so I can’t confirm. I ordered sweet tea. Hotel Drover in downtown Fort Worth, TX doesn’t have sweet tea!? I didn’t know until my glass set empty for too long and she filled my glass then brought me simple syrup for me to pour in. A save, sort of. I drink lime in tea. I’m pretty particular about it. She didn’t bring me another lime. My third refill, she filled my glass with water…didn’t even realize, so no apology. It’s the DROVER! Pork belly burnt ends with pineapple chimichurri for our starter. What a flavor combination! 1”- 1 1/2” perfectly cooked burnt ends. NO flavor. Completely lacked the tang of the chimichurri and nothing from the minimal pineapple. Cowboy steak cooked medium plus, herbed mashed potato’s and fried brussel sprouts. Looked amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly! AGAIN! Again, no flavor. Bland. I questioned if I had the Corona Virus again that disabled my taste buds. The atmosphere, the decorations was nothing to shake a stick at. The seating was not comfortable. I’m was very disappointed and I hate to leave a bad review, but I am still frustrated. It’s the DROVER! I could have made the same meal for a quarter of the price including tip and guarantee you it would have been better. I will never go back.

Came here for brunch and it was good, not great. Wife and I ordered the tostadas lobster omelet and shared the deviled eggs. Deviled eggs toppings were great but the egg portion needed seasoning. Lobster omelette was delicious especially with a side of their salsa. The tostada was also great but the chorizo was a little over powering. Great ambiance in the restaurant. Our server but a damper on our experience by being mostly absent.

Service was hit or miss. We had breakfast twice and dinner once during our stay. Breakfast 1: food was good and service was a little slow but it was early in the morning. Breakfast 2: super quick, hot, and great service. Dinner: atmosphere was ok, wouldn't recommend the back room for 2. Table was too big so wife and I were placed pretty far apart. While the food was flavorful the service was so slow and the food got to us luke warm at best. After being there multiple hours for a simple dinner for 2 we just wanted to get out of there. They said it was due to a large party ahead of us, but i still feel this doesn't excuse the temperature of the meal and lack of attention from our server.

We went to the 97 Kitchen for lunch during the week on Wednesday the 25th of Feb. The surroundings are quite pleasant, very upscale. Lobby of the Drover is really nice. Kevin, our waiter was the only really good thing about the meal. My wife had the sourdough chicken sandwich and fries. The fries were ok. She liked the sauce on the chicken and the sourdough bread, but the chicken itself was just average. I was really psyched for my meal! I love pastor and they had a pastor taco that was actually pork belly and at Kevin's recommendation I chose the brisket for the other taco and I had the slaw for my side. The whole meal was a disappointment for me. The slaw was more of a vinegar base and although quite fresh, was very bland. The pork belly was quite dry and overcooked, there was not much sauce and it was just really bad when compared to some I have had. The brisket was also dry and the sauce almost non-existant. Overall for $50 plus tip it was my worst meal that I had in my first visit to Texas. And it was the most expensive for the size of the meal. I would not visit again. In the end I gave it a two because frankly I can't eat the decor or the fancy surroundings. I care more about the actual flavors than presentation.

Came in at 10:15am on a Friday morning was told it'd be a 20min wait. Fine no big deal but after 35 min the hostess comes up to us as we're sitting asking if we're waiting on a table. So we replied yes then she asks what's the name and goes back and apparently now they have seating after seeing numerous people walk up and get seated. Then we sit down and get told they're no longer serving breakfast which is what we came for. We ordered a drink paid and left. Definitely disappointed in the lack of communication and plain disregard. As I expressed to the waiter the situation was and just said oh yeah we stopped serving breakfast.

After 30 years in customer service, I understand the great impact of reviews and it does take a lot to make me write a negative review. Regretfully, I would say the Valet Parking was truly the highlight of my experience at Drover's 97 West. We decided to take my wife out for her birthday and enjoy a nice and reasonably pricey dinner at the Beautiful Drover. We arrived early to enjoy a cocktail. The Lobby Bar was small and we were faced with a large traffic flow, or sit outside in the August Texas heat. We accepted the congestion of the lobby and ordered a martini and a 4 Roses Old Fashioned. $65 later (2 drinks and customary tip), we headed to check in on our reservation a couple minutes early. We were told we could wander around or have a seat in the hallway. After another visit to the Hostess, we were taken to a 4 or 5 person table. Bless my sweet wife who had to climb into the both (we are both able to take SS and retire). We noticed many open tables, but it was Sunday evening and maybe they were understaffed? We are talking about the Famous Fort Worth Stockyards, so I must have missed something. The waitress came and discussed the menu. This was challenging due to the noise level of the open floorplan and occupancy. We ordered and had a wine and a beer. The salad and beverages arrived about 25 minutes after we first were seated. At that point, they removed the bread plates from our setting (faked me out-I thought we were getting something). I should have seen this 3rd or 4th sign, but even my Draft beer was not cold. The salad was good, and was removed pretty promptly, with only 1 issue. I ate most of my salad, but wanted not to fill up too soon. My wife ordered Bison and was feeling the NY Strip! I put my fork and the dressing container in the salad bowl. The waitress, as she was removing the salad bowls asked me if I wanted any more of my salad. Warning #5-used dishwasher and containers on the food is definitely done and bordered on a very poor server. About 10 minutes later (65 minutes after our reservation time), We are brought 2 steak knives. Excited, forgiving, and expecting decent protein for the prices you see in the menu...we wait another 15 minutes (may have been 20), our main courses arrive. I do not want to be salty, or be sour like vinegar, pepper you with more information, or have you try and digest any of the aforementioned descriptors, but, I do understand how bad reviews can hurt. The waitress removed my wife's undercooked Bison, overcooked sweet potatoes, and pickled carrots and asked if she could bring something else. She refused and I commented that we could not possibly wait again for some attempt from the kitchen. I tried to eat my NY Strip and cold, mushy vegetable mash. I could not and after my server observed my frustration, the dinner was as done. The Manager came to discuss our meal. I advised her that it was worst experience and this level and price point that I ever had. I commented to the manager that for the 1st time, my wife wanted to just leave. She then had the gall to ask again if she could get any sauce to make it better. As I stared at her in utter confusion, I laughed. I responded that I was ready to walk out myself, but as a former restaurant manager, I wanted her to have the chance to coach the needed parties. I covered all items and my lovely wife was kind enough to ask, "Do we have to pay for this or can we leave?" The manager said there is no bill and we left hungry and it was too late to eat elsewhere. The bill would have been another $150 minimum. The White Settlement Waffle House is how we ended my wife's birthday. William Destro
