We had a fantastic experience today thanks to Zach! He was incredibly friendly, and gave us top-notch service. Plus, he’s a legend for recommending the best menu items to help us get those gainz. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolute gem downtown! This place nailed it—burgers were incredibly fresh with juicy, perfectly seasoned patties, and the hand-cut fries were hot, crispy, and generously portioned. No skimping here; everything tasted made-to-order and full of flavor. The service was top-notch too: super friendly staff who made us feel right at home in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. Been coming here more often in the last year and it never disappoints. Solid spot with great food and great service. We came on 12/30 for dinner and I believe Carrie was our server (apologies if spelt wrong) but she was amazing and super chill. My type of girl. Her manager was very helpful and tentative, making sure all the guests were happy. I work in a restaurant too so these things are hard for me not to notice. The staff last night deserves some recognition for their hard work!!

Nesha was absolutely amazing and made our visit to Jake’s in Fort Worth unforgettable! We were there celebrating a Christmas getaway and our future daughter-in-law’s graduation from UT Tyler, and she went above and beyond to make it a truly special experience. Her energy, friendliness, and attentiveness were outstanding from the moment we sat down. She was always right there when we needed something, yet never intrusive, and her warm personality made us feel genuinely welcome. Exceptional service like hers is what brings people back—Nesha is a true standout and a huge asset to Jake’s. We can’t wait to return!

Lexi our server was very attentive and funny! She knew how to keep the vibes up and cheerful. The food was pretty great! Nothing overwhelming or UNDERwhelming. No need to worry about making hard decisions on whats for dinner as the menu is huge and everything is great! We had the handbreaded mushrooms with loaded tater tots and they were great! We moved onto the Swiss burgers which were well seasoned and cooked, the poppy seed buns added well texture to the burger. Would definitely recommend and would request lexi if she is here.

Carrie Wheeler (and the other female FOH staff, Sundance Square, Sun Mon 10/27) — this crew, but Carrie Wheeler specifically, made my Monday at 8p at night. So much to the point of tears. I've been having some incredibly bad luck lately and cannot get on my feet, but stumbled upon the ability to be able to purchase a true hot meal (not the occasional fast food I eat if I can afford, or meals I can scrounge together from items when I can afford them from the grocery store) for the first time in months... and though this week, month, year have been horrible for me — tonight marks the last night of my busiest, most defeating, and dehumanizing year to date... and tonight was hard for me... but Carrie's warmth and humor and smile and little Halloween hat... again, I'm crying with tears of gratitude at her kindness from her as a waitress, yes, but as a human she was the right type of person and female I needed to serve my table after the hell I've been through. I'm a single mom of two and times have been EXTREMELY tough; hot meals are a privilege and luxury... tonight was an end of year treat meal to myself, and I just want to share with such genuine joy and happiness as a customer and fellow female, what an incredible waitress Carrie is, but the whole damn staff had the best energy and it was needed so sorely.

The atmosphere was just what we were looking for and our server, Cassi, was so friendly, fun and helpful. The Seasonal Menu had some must-try options like putine. Wife got the patty melt with tator tots and loved it. I got the putine and also loved it! 5-stsr experience.

Popped in for to-go burgers and wings for the first time, and everything was fantastic! Jeff was awesome. He walked us through the menu, recommended a few customer favorites, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The wait was quick, and the food quality was excellent. I’m kind of a wing snob and can’t stand rubbery chicken, but these were fresh, perfectly cooked, and the buffalo sauce was spot on. We liked it so much we came back a few days later to try the brunch menu. Cassi, our server, was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. The food was warm, delicious, and the funnel cake fries are an absolute must-try! Great service on both visits. We’ll definitely be back!

Originally visited the first time for lunch and grab a couple of orders to go. Jeff was great from greeting to food hand off. Fast turn time from incredibly friendly staff. FYI, burgers were just as amazing as the wings. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality of food as well as the service so we decided to come back for breakfast a few days later. Cassie, our server for breakfast was friendly and very attentive. Our cups were never empty, food was on our table quickly, tasted fresh, and was very filling. We were offered coffee to go when we were finished. We'll definitely be back.

Very busy at the end of Happy Hour. Customers pushed together what was going to be our table with their table. Lindsey told hostess to sit us in her area by the bar and she would take care of us. She went out of her way to ensure we were taken care of. She answered all our questions and made suggestions for us. We ordered corn nuggets and the Kickin Fried Chicken sandwich. My wife had a sweet tea that was not overly sweet and I had one of the best Old Fashioned I've had in a while. The sandwich and corn nuggets were excellent and fresh. Great value for our meal. We will definitely go back.

Really nice place! Both new and “hole-in-the-wall” feel to the establishment. Fries are awesome! Chanel was the bartender at the time and she was great. Very enthusiastic, bubbly, and attentive. Busier at the bar area and yet she kept up her routine, checking in with everyone in a timely manner. Overall great place and great experience!

Looking for a good burger in Fort Worth? Go to Jakes. I got the Texas Patty Melt and it rocked. Never had a burger with Texas Toast as the bun, but dang it was good. And for my mustard people. The spicy mustard is good. Lindsey was my waitress and she was great.

Great place to grab lunch with some friends! Portions were large and the food was great. The sweet potato fries with the marshmallow sauce were delicious. Both of our burgers were good and very filling. My favorite was the loaded tots for an appetizer.

Came to Jake’s Burgers and overall it was great. 🍔 Burger: 10/10 🪑 Atmosphere: good 🙋‍♂️ Service: good 🍟 One downside: the fries were very greasy. That’s the only thing I didn’t like.

This is a nice place right in the center of downtown. The staff is very nice and welcoming. They have a large selection of food and we both got burgers. I got the kicking chicken fried bacon burger. My wife got the Mushroom Swiss burger with the sweet potato fries. I can’t speak for the other items on the menu. The MSB wasn’t the best and also not the way we ordered it. The KCB was pretty good thought and the sweet potato fires came with marshmallow sauce that was unique and went well with them. Overall it’s an ok place although I don’t believe we will revisit.

This was dinner spot for us over the weekend. The place tends to have some wait, usually when the mezannine isn't open. The service is prompt and warm. The burgers are pretty fairly priced for a non fast food restaurant. We loved the Hangover Burger, the Poppy seed bun used on most burgers and the Caramel Apple Bourbon shake. The Granny Jakes Mellow cake dessert was a bit too sweet for our palette.

This was my first time dining here and I don't regret it. We stopped here for brunch. My friend enjoyed their breakfast and I love the chicken fried chicken and hurricane cocktail. I tried to done again while I was still in town buy they were under construction. My insurance con is that the chicken for the chicken fried chicken is almost paper thin. I had to order an additional piece of chicken. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Food was delish! Loved the corn bites, mozzarella sticks, and pickle chips! Husband got a double cheeseburger he enjoyed. We ate at the bar and it’s easy to say service was not good. Coming from food service I know that it’s hard to catch up when it’s busy, however the bartender who was serving us could not have cared less about any customers she was supposed to take care of. When a customer is politely clarifying their order so there wasn’t a misunderstanding maybe don’t respond with “well. Yeah that’s what I was saying.” When it wasn’t at all clear what you’re saying. Another customer sat next to us asked for clarification on a beer because he was from out of town, and she said “it’s seasonal, and fruity?” But as soon as her regulars came she was sweet, fun, and chatty. The waitress however that brought out our food was great! To clarify, she was not the bartender. I typically tip at least 20% for mediocre service. This was not worth even that.

We arrived around 3:30pm on a Saturday. The place wasn’t dead but wasn’t busy either. We were sat promptly and the waitress arrived soon after. We had another person coming so we ordered some beers and an appetizer. That’s when it started to drag from there. The appetizer arrived before our beers did. We were halfway finished with it before they did. As the waitress set the beers on the table, she spilled some of my wife’s on the table. She said “let me grab you some napkins” then returned with a stack of napkins and set them on the table. Like ok let me clean up your spill. When I needed another beer, I had to flag her down to ask for one. Our other party hadn’t arrived yet so we went ahead and ordered the entree. The food arrived and it was hot and tasty, no complaints there at all. We had the original double cheeseburger and tots. Our other party finally arrived and sat for a while until she asked where our waitress was. We hadn’t seen her in a while then a new one shows up. I had to flag down the new one to order my wife another beer. Then to top it all off, my wife had to hunt down the new waitress just to get the check. Overall, food was good, service not so much. If we go back, maybe we will just sit at the bar.
