Awesome authentic Mughlai halal food. Lots of options to choose from, we ordered chicken jalfraezi, nihari, chicken tikka boti and naan. Fresh delicious food served in good portions. The service is great and the place is clean and family friendly. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for some authentic halal cuisine.
Wow!! Anyone wanting a Pakistani/Karachi level flavor shud definitely try this . These guys have humble settings but truly they have the flavor! I really feel the ratings don't do justice to this place n many ppl might not be checking it out. So I hope ppl really give the food a chance cuz the taste is so worth it. We are visiting from Houston n tried a couple of places out here but really this place stands out as they provide the most authentic n flavorful Pakistani food. Most other Pakistani run places have more Indian cuisine options n taste. Those places might have the ambiance at times but truly in our experience we didn't want to visit them again or sit for long....so yeah at the end flavor beats all!
This was my go-to spot when I lived in the Bay Area. Sadly I had to leave and can't seem to find the same delicious food/taste anywhere! You may have to wait a while for your order but it is so worth it. The price and portions are fair. The sitting area is a little plain but clean. There's usually about 2-3 people working at a time so they're busy and are friendly enough. My favorite dishes are the mixed veggies and beef nehari. Go grab yourself some great food from these guys!
Nothing against Zareen’s, but in my opinion Bismillah is a better representation of Karachi style Pakistani cuisine. These guys are doing god’s work. Every dish I have tried so far hits the spot.
Consistently delicious comfort food. The dishes aren't your typical overly-stylized and cloned "restaurant food" sort of preparation. Think of this as a hole-in-the-wall sort of place where you'd go to get a solid tasty meal. The naan is always fresh and perfectly done, the seekh kebabs are a personal favorite, the curries are authentic to the sub-regions they're from and the biryanis have the right balance of meat, spices and marbled rice. Always had take-out or delivery, but the seating seems modest and clean, albeit a tad old. Give it a try!
Came here because we live in Miami and don’t get real Pakistani food. Ordered the haleem, kebabs, and the tandoori chicken, everything came out piping hot and fresh, you can tell everything was freshly prepared and it was incredibly tasty. The chicken seekh kebabs were the winner for me. The place isn’t anything fancy but that’s how you know it’s authentic!! Will be back next time we’re in the Bay Area
Can't believe we hadn't tried this place until today. A total hidden gem of a restaurant. Everything we ate was super fresh and full of flavor. Some favorites from our visit today were the chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken and seekh kebab. Will definitely be adding this restaurant to our rotation.
Bismillah Pakistani Restaurant in Fremont is a hidden gem! I came here with friends, and we were blown away by the authentic flavors and generous portions. The food was absolutely delicious—from the perfectly spiced biryani to the tender and flavorful chicken karahi, everything was spot-on.
Best goat biryani ever after coming USA. Today will try more variety in menu. Hopefully would be again wise decision. No sitting place. Only take out is recommended. Sitting is shabby for family.
This is one of the top Indian/Pakistani restaurant in the Bay area That's my opinion A lot of people will tell you Shalimar or pakwan. To me among these three this is the top place to go. Prices are very reasonable they're very consistent The food doesn't change when it comes to taste or texture. Been going here for I don't know 15 years maybe more. The father used to run the whole show now the son Wears the crown. You can't go wrong! The only problem is it's the atmosphere it's pretty dark. Nobody knows this but parking is in the rear of the building and plenty of. These guys are the OG's of Pakistani food hands down. The reason why I gave four-star for service is because there is no really service you walk up to the counter you order your food you go sit down take your plates it's all self-service and they just bring the food to you so there is no really service. And yes finally they accept debit card or credit card they also do DoorDash Uber eats all of that finally for the longest they didn't they only accepted cash only.
We visited with a large family of 12 people for iftar. I called in advance to reserve tables, and the staff was very professional. An hour before our arrival, I pre-ordered food and requested it to be ready for iftar. The person on the phone mentioned complimentary dates, pakoras, and Rooh Afza drink . Upon arrival, everything was served promptly. We broke our fast and enjoyed fresh, hot meals along with delicious naans, especially the Roghni naan. The staff were exceptionally polite and provided quick service. I have seen some negative comments about food being served late, it's because they prepare everything fresh. Ordering ahead will help ! Their tandoori dishes and seekh kebabs were fresh and flavorful. I rate this place 100/100. They also have free Chai ! The only improvement I suggest is having a prayer area and cleaner bathrooms. I will Always come back for authentic Pakistani food !
Outstanding food and hospitality, feels like I’m eating with family in my own home. Don't overthink lunch in Fremont, go here.
This place has amazing food they are best , they have best tasting nihari & Haleem in whole Bay Area , I have tried many places they dnt even get close to it , their naan is soft & tasty not like rubber on every other Desi restaurant , they have come long way after corona , I always appreciate for the food they make for us , chef is from Lahore if you know how good the food from Lahore is you will get it why their food is perfect ❤️
So authentic food !! .. tandoori items are just heaven… loved the curries and the nan as well. Will keep coming back many many times 👍👍 adding a pic of empty plates which says how much we enjoyed the food , didn’t left any grain behind lol
I’ve been on the lookout for an Indian restaurant that packs in flavor, quality and freshness, FOUND IT! I had a variety of dishes and every single one was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala, the garlic naan (get extra, trust me) and Suji Halwa ( new to me, SO WORTH IT!). Staff is friendly and hospitable and they really take pride in what they serve. They have some good deals through delivery services like DoorDash and UberEats. They also do full service catering! I highly recommend checking Bismillah out
Halwa puri, Nihari, Haleem and chicken Jalferzi and sesame Naan. Flavorful & delicious weekend Breakfast and even dinner.
We tried their Seekh Kababs Tandoori Chicken Haleem Roghni Naan Salaam Cola Chicken Biryani. It’s a hidden gem . Love their malai not z the hack is to enjoy it immediately for the best taste .
OMG! I have finally found a desi restaurant that caters actual authentic desi food. There Naans are the most decadent tasting naans I have ever tested. The chicken tikka masala was absolutely perfect unlike other places that make it either too sweet or sour or have a variety of colors and textures. The tandoori items were perfectly cooked with perfect amount of spices. Overall, our family loved this place and we will be coming again and again. Thanks Bismillah
Had dinner with my wife. I heard this was a hidden gem so I had to check it out. Ordered Roghani Naan (must try) with Magaz, and Nihari. The Magaz was out of this world. The Nihari was tender and fresh. The fresh ginger added a zing to the Nihari. Also tried the Tandoori Chicken. This place uses real charcoal, not gas. You can literally notice the difference in taste. Also tried Haleem. I can say without a doubt this is the best Haleem ever. I’m going to make this my go to restaurant when I am in their neck of the woods. Highly recommend and don’t forget to top off your dinner with chai.
Definitely the names itself says what we need 😊Halal is posted on the entrance and the menu. Food is of course great desi food. Especially soft Naans 😋the folks workings their are from Lahore Pakistan probably and they are friendly though. They gave me complimentary tea as well. Dining area is enough for even big families. Parking ASAIK is just on the street. They have prayer rugs as well. Overall definitely recommended. 🥰
I was in the mood for chicken kahari and was just passing this spot while on the job. I checked out the menu......YES!!! they had exactly what I needed. Turns out it was the best I ever tasted! Thank you from the guy in the Verizon van.
Went for lunch and tried kababs and chicken tikka masala. Kabab were delicious and juicy. Chicken tikka masala was decent (meat was very tender). Overall food was freshly prepared and tasted. If they can improve cleanliness that would be great

One of the absolute best modern day south Asian restaurants I am very picky in the food I eat by this place has been a favorite of mine for years now definitely get their nahari and kababs!
Absolutely amazing customer service I ordered a meal for to go and I came to pick it up and I drove to my home. I come here often because their food is super good but I live like 45 minutes away. That’s how good their food is but this time around I had an issue with my food and when I called them about it, they were completely happy and fine with replacing the item and giving me the same item again not even just one, but three of the same exact item overall very satisfied very happy with them. Their food is amazing. Best south Asian food I’ve had in all of the Bay Area and not only that you really feel at home. You really feel welcomed because of how kind understanding and good the people are.
**Restaurant Review: Bismillah Restaurant** Rating: ★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bismillah Restaurant with my family, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set a positive tone for our evening. The food at Bismillah was truly exceptional. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. The spices were perfectly balanced, offering a mild yet satisfying depth that catered to the palates of all family members. Whether it was the savory appetizers or the delightful main courses, each bite was a testament to the culinary expertise behind the menu. Service was another highlight of our visit. The owner of the restaurant, a true gentleman, went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome and attended to throughout our meal. His warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, our visit to Bismillah Restaurant was a memorable one, marked by delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to friends and family, and I look forward to returning with my own family in the near future. Five stars for Bismillah Restaurant!

Food very tasty Price and cost very reasonable Friendly and they also offered us Chai to our family😊 Must visit place indeed!

I have tried a couple of their items and regularly order from them. Their taste is authentic and serving size is good. They serve really good Haleem and one can’t find similar Roghni Naan as theirs. Biryani and Keema are also decent. Can do better on Channa Masala. For dine in experiences this may not be a very aesthetically pleasing place however the food taste compensates for it. Service is generally good but sometimes one can feel the staff as not very welcoming but I have realized thats just how their tone of voice sounds.
The chicken they have is very good, it is somewhat spicy but I like it, eating there, the kofta is also good too and they make the naan at the moment.
It's a good spot for Indo-Pak food with reasonable prices and great food. The service was a bit slow but that's to be expected since there only seemed to be one guy working there when I went there. I'd ordered tandoori chicken, chicken jalfrezi, bhuna ghosht, chicken biriyani, and naan. All of the food was delicious and fresh but the chicken biriyani was a bit disappointing. The biriyani had a generous portion of chicken but the chicken was quite dry but otherwise decent. Overall I would definitely recommend.
This is a go-to spot in Fremont for Indo-Pakistani non-vegetarian dishes. The food quality is consistently good, but wait times can be long. Repeat customer for their delicious food
Nice Restraunt for Pakistani style food. A casual place, self serve for plates and utensils. Food was good.
We ordered the paneer tikka masala (5/5) and the nihari (4/5). They were priced well for the portion size. The chai was complementary. The naan was excellent.
Decent Biryani and yummy chicken Tandoori. Alain tried Garlic Naan with Chicken Tikka Masala , I must say it’s soo damnn good and totally worth it . small place which will be open till 10 pm , try to have some cash in hand coz they don't accept cards......

I ordered chicken Kabob! It was tasty, the cashier is technically the server as well. Restaurant is not maintained well, bathrooms are always dirty, I saw bugs/mini cockroach on the wall which was of course disgusting!!!! They could do a better job maintaining the restaurant and hire really professional server!!!! I give them 3 stars…..
Went here because of all the hype and idk it wasn't all that for me. The food tasted pretty basic. It wasn't like super tasty as Pakistani food should taste. Everything is self-serve (plates, utensils, water, and chai). We ordered Chicken biryani which was ok. It smelled like biryani but the taste wasn't there. Had 3 very small chicken pieces so overall it's (6/10). Also got bhunna ghost (5/10), haleem (6/10), Chicken kofta (3/10), chicken seekh kabob (9/10), chicken tandoori (8/10), naan (10/10).
Meh. The Chicken marsala and Chicken were very oily and bland. I didn't get that savory taste of the India cuisine.

I went there because one of my acquaintance said this was better than another famous restaurant in Fremont. I didn't find it that great. The tandoori was okay, biryani was bland at its best. The ambience is not for something to go & eat but probably takeaway.
Walked in and was not greeted at all, stood at the front looking a little confused for a while and looked around the dismal restaurant. The vibe was very depressing and without being clear on how ordering worked, I walked out
I looked at the deal and thought it was good, well it is and you can get food for good value, but the food is just ok, and honestly when he said 4 wings I was excited until i found out that the wings are the size of my pinky finger, and the chicken leg piece is the smallest I have seen, just why?

I felt bad for my host today…. Bismillah, halal… expectation went so high… but unfortunately neither the quality or quantity was good…. I don’t know how is the city or who ever tracks restaurants allowing them to keep running such a place….. I don’t recommend that place for anyone…. I’m so disappointed…. It’s so bad
Bismillah is the name and they charge your "5% service fee" on your order without telling you which is totally HARAM.
Disappointing Experience I had high expectations for Bismillah Restaurant but was thoroughly disappointed by the food. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Sheekh Kabab, and Haleem, and unfortunately, all three dishes were underwhelming. 1/ Chicken Biryani: Bland and lacking the signature spices that make this dish special. It tasted like it had been hastily put together with no attention to flavor. 2/ Sheekh Kabab: Dry and flavorless, completely missing the juiciness and spice kick you'd expect. 3/ Haleem: A complete letdown—bland, lacking depth, and nowhere close to authentic. The dishes lacked seasoning, taste, and any semblance of the rich, bold flavors typically associated with these classics. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and flavorful food.
Unfortunately, our visit to Bismillah restaurant fell far below expectations. Despite the initial hype, the food was a letdown. The karahi had a strange odor that was off-putting, and none of the ten people in our group enjoyed their meals. It's disappointing when a highly anticipated dining experience turns out to be such a letdown. Hopefully, the restaurant can address these issues and improve in the future."
Allah butter masala is very oily and bland. Also we found a 4ft rattlesnake in our biryani,we asked the waiter to take it away but he started emoting on us.
So we came here just to try it out because of so many posts on Facebook. We ordered chicken biryani, nihari, Karahi chicken, 6 regular naans and roghni naan, 6 tandoori and raita. The chicken biryani was so bland and didn't feel cooked enough. The nihari was weak and had no flavor. The chicken leg was overly red but was maybe the only thing eatable but wasn't that good. The naans weren't even naans to be honest, I would recommend the chef/owner go to pakwan in Fremont and try the naans there and see how it should be. Maybe the roghni naan were as they should be. The chai came out late. Oh yea we came on Sunday for nashta bfast of halwa puree and that was not there today. There's so many things on the menu but when we asked for magaz and halwa puree that was not there today. Knocked this one off the list but ain't coming back,
Never ordering again. Ordered vegetarian biryani from Bismillah last night. My sister and I ate small portion of biryani since we were not that hungry and decided to eat rest of the biryani the next day. The next day whilst eating the same biryani we discovered an unusual food item in our biryani which we could not recognise, (since we are familiar with the cuisine/dish and also have appropriate knowledge about spices too) It is also to be noted that, we have ordered multiple times from the restaurant and this was the first time that we have experienced this and we can affirm that we have found the said alleged item in our biryani upon confirmation from our family member who eats meat, it was confirmed that it was infact meat pieces in our vegetarian biryani. I am utterly disgusted by the unprofessional service of the restaurant and their carelessness. This is seriously unacceptable and as a vegetarian, who does not believe in hurting animals in any form. We demand a sincere apology from the restaurant for providing a poor quality service and food and for hurting our sentiments and I hope it never happens to any one else.
