Authentic taiwan breakfast, just like the one I had in Taiwan. cheese pancake is my favorite. Soft and not too oily. The sauce goes with it tastes good too.
Authentic Taiwanese Breakfast finally can claim its "the best Taiwanese Food" in California (Sorry the one in Tustin CA doesn't beat this). They have simple menu unlike other Asian ethnic restaurants that tried to serve everything yet screwed everything, they are just focusing on one thing, delivering traditional Taiwanese breakfast experience here. Taiwanese grilled egg sandwiches, hamburgers, and egg cakes with pork sung. It may seem pricey when compared with the prices that they charged in Taiwan, however, this is Silicon valley and the quality of the ingredients that they served is quite justifiable for the price. Service is excellent too, thanks for the store manager May took good care of me makes me felt like I am eating at the local Taiwanese breakfast shop
Cute cafe with several vegetarian options, and staff were very friendly and efficient in pointing out the various options and volunteering what wasn’t vegan about each.
Heard a lot of fame about the sandwich and finally came to town to try one. Ordered a grilled ham egg sandwich and gee, it's absolutely yummy! Thin bread that's warmly toasted. Perfect egg not soggy nor hard. The special sauce simply elevated the sandwich. I end up ordered exta to bring home.
Very authentic and tasty. We went there several times and are also satisfied by the quality. We usually ordered egg crepe, sandwiches, and turnip cake (with egg).
The food was great! We got the egg and pork crepe and the signature pork sandwich. Would highly recommend. Staff is very friendly
Found this place by accident last week and we truly enjoyed some authentic Taiwan inspired breakfast sandwiches and drinks.
This place always makes me miss Taiwan. I love stopping by for breakfast whenever I can—nothing beats a good sandwich or egg omelette here. Solid Taiwanese breakfast!
This is an incredibly fun breakfast restaurant! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with colorful decor, playful music, and energetic staff who are always eager to help you start your day off on the right foot. The menu is full of unique and creative options that you won't find anywhere else. From pancakes shaped like animals to omelets with unexpected flavor combinations, there's something for everyone to enjoy. And if you're feeling adventurous, the "mystery dish" is always a fun surprise. But it's not just the food that makes this restaurant special. The atmosphere is lively and engaging, with games and activities scattered throughout the dining area. Giant Jenga and Connect Four, anyone? And if you're feeling competitive, challenge your fellow diners to a game of trivia or a round of rock-paper-scissors. Overall, this breakfast restaurant is not just a place to grab a meal, it's an experience. The fun and festive vibe is infectious, and it's hard not to leave feeling energized and ready to take on the day.
This breakfast restaurant serves sandwiches with incredibly fresh ingredients! You can tell that they take pride in sourcing only the best ingredients for their menu. The bread is always perfectly toasted and the fillings are bursting with flavor. Whether you go for a classic BLT or something more adventurous like a turkey avocado club, every bite is packed with delicious, fresh ingredients. The vegetables are crisp and colorful, and the meats are high-quality and juicy. It's clear that the chefs pay close attention to the details and take care in assembling each sandwich. What's more, the restaurant sources their ingredients from local farms and markets, ensuring that they are not only fresh, but also support the community. This commitment to using local, seasonal produce adds an extra layer of quality and sustainability to the dining experience.
It’s the Taiwanese breakfast! Honestly, a lot of Taiwanese street food are available in this whole wide world, but there is one thing! Just one thing that I still couldn’t fulfill is the breakfast. This place is literally what I had back home and it’s quite authentic. Really loved the milk tea, sandwich and the egg pancake. Recommend with my whole heart!
Food was great and reasonable prices! Quite a few vegetarian options. I had the taro and veggie sung sandwich and it was very good! I was very surprised at how refreshing the taro made the sandwich taste. Writing this review is making me crave it already. Also tried the egg sandwich and it was quite tasty. Easy to order up front on monitor screen and then pay ahead of time. Can sit anywhere you want and you grab utensils on the side. You can also order to go and there is a stand on the side for pick up orders. Would definitely come again! So happy my friend introduced me to this place! Parking is good as it is as the pacific commons side and there’s usually plenty of parking.
Cafe Mei has the most authentic Taiwanese breakfast! The mayo in the toast tastes exactly the same as what I had in Taiwan! Please try all their items, they would meet your expectations of Taiwanese breakfast
The workers are very nice and easy to order. The breakfast sandwiches are so good!! The tuna and the signature sandwiches are delicious! They're toasted perfectly. We also got the corn chowder and it was light but refreshing. I had to go back and get a to go sandwich with ham. The bread is so light and eating them was addicting. Will be coming back as a regular for sure
As a Taiwanese, they do serve very authentic Taiwanese breakfast!! I love the egg roll the most! And the sandwich and daikon cake were good too. The staffs were very nice and the dine-in environment was clean. Highly recommended!
Friendly staff, especially Grace is very passionate. Tasty and authentic black pepper teppon noodle, classic Taiwanese milk tea and corn chowder there. Tastes like Taiwan. Will definitely come next time.
My Taiwanese “Hem-bao-tan” street breakfast sandwich tasted just like in Taiwan although I would take issue with the shop not using the proper paper sandwich sleeve. My warm milk tea was also on point. If you like Taiwanese sandwiches, this is your place.
Straight from taiwan. Used to go to this chain a lot as a kid and now its come to the bay area! It is definitely on the pricier side as compared to taiwan but that’s different cost of livings for. Overall great nostalgic food, would recommend the sandwiches or taiwanese pancakes as that is what they are known for. Lots of outdoor seating but no indoor seating

I stopped by Cafe Mei in Fremont for a quick breakfast and tried their Signature Pork Sung Sandwich. Wow, what a treat! The sandwich was perfectly toasted, with a flavorful pork patty, fresh cucumber, and that sweet mayo that ties it all together. It felt like a true taste of Taiwan, just like the reviews mentioned. The staff was super friendly, and the vibe was cozy yet trendy. Only wish they had longer hours for us late risers! Highly recommend for anyone craving an authentic Taiwanese breakfast sandwich.

Nice place to get a fast and tasty hot breakfast. Fast and polite service and food is consistent. Food is priced higher than you’d expect for what it is, but it is hard to find these types of breakfast sandwiches elsewhere.
The Taiwanese pancakes were on the blander side, only lightly salted, but I liked how simple it was and would order this again. The sauce it came with has some minced garlic mixed into it, which I personally didn’t think complemented the pancake well. The Black Pepper Teppan Noodles were a little disappointing, it tasted like regularly boiled pasta rather than one cooked on a teppan metal plate.
Tips: Order online to skip your wait time. Arrive weekdays after 9am and get your food under 10 minutes. If you are familiar with Taiwanese breakfast, this is a place will remind you a piece of Taiwan! There are pre-made breakfast sandwiches already bagged and you don't have to wait too long to get your order. Although $4 - $5 for a small sandwich is a bit pricy for the portion, a bite of the sandwich will take you back to Taiwan. 🤤 Classic Black tea or milk tea taste similar to Darjeeling tea. If you are not into muscatel or a bit if spiced tea, you can skip this. Also, you can't adjust sweetness so wysiwyg. Lastly, you can take advantage of the outdoor seatings that are available for near by restaurants since the shop is currently not open for indoor seatings.
Got the pork burger, daikon cake, and egg crepe. Pork burger tastes pretty good and different from your regular burgers. Daikon cake was the best one I've ever had. Egg crepe was ok.
Went in as the place opened at 8am on a Sunday. No problems with parking, no lines inside and we were the first ones in. Food was solid. I had Black pepper teppan noodles Taiwanese milk tea Taro & pork sung/floss sandwich (pork sung/floss or bak hu, is a cut meat stewed in sweetened soy sauce & other spices, then dried) Service was self-service, but the lady taking the order was friendly. And the orders were ready for pick up quickly. After more people came in, order numbers started to be called out for pickup through a PA system. Atmosphere was solid. Just general customer chatter, no music background other than the sounds of a Chinese news channel. But all perfectly good setting for chatting with others.
This is a Taiwanese breakfast shop with burger , sandwich , iron noodle and pancake . Not only Taiwanese people like it, Japanese people like it too , because the bread is very soft and similar to Japanese bread. I usually order burgers + eggs, but if I'm in a hurry, I will order small sandwiches. They even have taro & Meat floss sandwiches, sweet mixed salt , how fun ! The milk tea is delicious, thick and milky. Business hour is short around 2 pm only .
Pretty authentic Taiwanese sandwich with toast side cut off. The patty flavor is a bit light and would recommend it to be a bit salty to add more flavor. Corn soup is also very traditional and authentic and the temperature is perfect. Definitely worth a visit if you are craving for some authentic Taiwanese breakfast.
Delightful place with great food. We got the milk tea which was pretty good, daikon radish cake which was soft and okay. A little lacking on the lupchiong and shrimp taste imo. The signature pork sandwich was delicious but pricey at $10.50. The Taiwan crepe with egg was decent though I would not buy it again. Finally, the black pepper teppan noodle was wet and while I enjoyed it, my wife did not. Overall quite an enjoyable homely meal that makes for a great breakfast/brunch experience. Will definitely be back with friends.
Finally got to visit the Cafe Mei🤤The most popular breakfast in my hometown 🇹🇼 The taste of the signature sandwich and TW crepe with egg are authentic. Price-wise, it is a little bit pricey. Worth trying!
It’s good, like the breakfast shop in Taiwan. Just worry about the operation because they seem not too much customers but so many employees. They were leisurely making dishes with chatting. However, I will still go for it when I miss Taiwanese food.😂😂

Egg Crepe w/ Pork Sung 4 hot, flavorful savory sauce Toasted Signature Sandwich 3 soft bread, egg, sausage, ham, tomato, raw onion, not hot, no sauce
Update: Recently I’ve noticed that the dine-in area has become dirty and the staff don’t come up to clean the table and they leave all the stains and crumbs on the table even when they obviously see them. I start to wonder if this is the way they try to discourage customers from dining in… The quality of the service is definitely going down. They would give you poker face when you’re deciding what to order. Sad to see this place I usted to love become unwelcoming like this. — If you’re from Taiwan and would like to enjoy a authentic Taiwanese breakfast, this is the place to come! The 豬肉漢堡 is very good and 肉鬆蛋餅 is very very tasty! Definitely worth the drive even if you don’t live close by. You can visit here and then go to Brian’s black tea - also a authentic Taiwanese tea place - afterwards and you will not be disappointed. Tip: This place close at 2pm so make sure you come before that.
Super excited to try this place since I love the breakfast sandwiches in Taiwan which are so simple but absolutely delicious. Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - missed our order of Original Taiwanese Pancake (TW Crepe w/ egg) even though we reminded him to add this again when he read the order back to us :((( Togo House Special Sandwich (ham, egg, and cucumber) and Togo Signature Sandwich (pork, ham, egg, and cucumber) 5/5 - are pretty yummy overall. The bread seems like a milk bread that is soft and fluffy with a slight sweetness to it. Fairly conservative with the mayonnaise and cucumber. The pork is very flavorful compared to everything else so it seems overly salty in comparison Daikon (Turnip) Cake 3/5 - is not fried as much as we would like and it's a tiny portion. Appreciate that the pieces were cut into bite sized and could actually be dipped into the sauce container Black Pepper Teppan Noodle 1/5 - was over cooked. Sauce was nice but the texture of the noodles ruined the overall dish for us. Not sure if it's because we ordered to go but definitely recommend avoiding this dish Milk Tea with quarter sugar is good. You can taste the tea more but my sister says it tastes really water down because it's not sweet Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go. Crazy plaza for parking and the shop was super busy Service: N/A - attempted to order online through our phone but it had an error on checkout process. Then tried to order online from a computer and when checking out, it says that the online order option is closed. So called in our order through the phone. Not sure if language issue but he had a little difficulty understanding or hearing us Value for price: 3/5 - only get the sandwiches and avoid everything else! There seems to be slightly different names for these dishes online vs in the store so not sure if that's causing some confusion too. Daikon vs turnip cake. Taiwanese pancake vs crepe

Food and service are great especially for the price! However if you dine in, the connectivity is unreliable and sluggish here no matter what, whether it is your phone's own signal or the WiFi they provide. If you want to take a break from the Internet, great.
The food was okay. Not a lot of flavor. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria, order from a kiosk, and they expect you to leave a tip. When your food is ready. You have to pick it up yourself. They will not bring it to your table.
