Seated right away for late lunch early dinner. Lucky us happy hour started. Everything came out quick and great presentation. All tasted fresh. I love coming here for sushi they never disappoint. Oh and me and hubby almost never get dessert, but the fried Oreo 10/10!!!

I love this place. The food is always incredible. Super fresh and tasty! I’ve never had a bad thing on the menu. Service is sometime hit or miss… but all in all it’s great. I love their spicy garlic edamame! I highly recommend!

Went here for a special occasion Family ordered the cod and ponzu salmon and cleaned out their plate, haven't found any fish dishes that tastes like that at all Teriyaki chicken was one of the more decent ones I could find here in Fresno so far, I like the fried calamari a lot (I usually don't like fried calamari) Dessert I ordered was matcha affogato (really like it) and family had the last one in the menu I forgot the name but it looked like this emoji> 🍮 and came in a jar and it tasted very good Summarized: their fish is yummy and so is their calamari, try the dessert that looks like this 🍮

Super friendly staff. Very inviting atmosphere. Great reggae fusion music. Top notch wine and champagne selection. Exquisite food! Everything we’ve had so far has been delicious. Clean restrooms. Sometimes my husband and I roll in just to listen to the music while sipping on champagne and we just end up eating. I think it’s become our laid back hangout place.

Came here for late lunch. The restaurant has outdoor seating. Since we have pets, the outdoor fits our needs. However, the patio is in the back of the restaurant, so the staffs didn't notice us. It's understandable as it was not peak meal time. I'm sure they are short on servers. Food was great. Pretty tasty and authentic for a city not popular for Asian food. I would recommend this place.

I ordered Hamachi-Kama, squid sushi, and uni pasta. This restaurant did great Hamachi-Kama pair with ponzu sauce. Service was great as well. If you love Hamachi-Kama, I would recommend this restaurant…5 stars!!!

This was our first visit to Namikaze, and it definitely will NOT be our last. We ordered some appetizers, calamari and nachos. As well as two amazing sushi rolls. One was a caterpillar roll and the other was a Hurricane Roll. I was literally astonished with the lightness and freshness of each ordered item. The Sushi Chef's are absolute masters! The sushi was the BEST I have ever eaten anywhere within the state of California! For me to compliment that highly is rare, but this statement is warranted. We ordered from the 2 for 12 menue, I ordered the Sukiaki beef bowl and the Ebi roll. This was a big portion and you get an entire order of sushi which is seldom done in other places. My wife had the tofu bowl that came with a poki bowl, my son's ordered teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken bowls with California rolls. Our waitress was amazing as well very professional and friendly. We will be back soon. Oh.. they do practice covid safety, wear gloves while preparing food and masks. They also have indoor and outdoor dining.

Ordered DoorDash pickup here including 2 spicy crispy chicken and the gyoza. I had the spicy crispy chicken with white rice. I also ordered hot and spicy sauce. It has some sauce on it but an extra sauce is definitely needed. I liked the hot and spicy sauce. I thought the spicy crispy chicken meal was delicious, I gave it a 10 and my husband gave it an 8. My husband subbed the white rice for fried rice, that was worth the extra $3, it was very good fried rice. The gyoza was okay. Overall, I will be back here, the lunch special looks like a good deal.

The family and I came here for lunch a few weeks ago. The restaurant has a really nice, clean and open feel. They have a good size menu with lots of offerings. We ordered from their lunch menu: 2 Mini Teriyaki Bowls (for our two kids) 1 Ramen and gyoza (for me) 1 Spicy ramen and sashimi (for the hubby) Toddler gets food from everyone's plate Both kids enjoyed their teriyaki bowls. Their one critique was more teriyaki sauce. I especially enjoyed my ramen and gyoza. The gyoza came with a good dipping sauce too. The ramen broth was really good but not the best I ever had. I would totally order again. The hubby enjoyed his lunch as well and ate it all. He just wished for more at the end.

Love this place. We have been coming here regularly for several years now. Portions are a bit small, but overall for local Sushi it’s a great spot.

Really good sushi spot, smaller and simpler menu which is great in my opinion. Sashimi was fresh didn’t taste weird. Service was good, friendly and fast. Vents need a good cleaning, a lot of dust build up in the intake vents from the summer. Their rolls are good, packed well and rolled neatly. Some rolls come with more than others. Menu also doesn’t indicate cooked rolls vs raw rolls though. Overall good experience

Great vegan options! Had the miso ramen and my partner had the curry udon. We also split the shishito peppers and a few rolls. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The curry udon broth was really flavorful. It’s great to see a restaurant clearly label and accommodate veg options. It’s even better when they go above and beyond with presentation! I wish there was an option to add tofu to your plate (the soups were just noodles broth and vegetables) but I was full and happy nonetheless. I’m sure if we asked they could have accommodated, but would love to see some veg protein add-ons as part of the menu. The service was great, super friendly and attentive. Good relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Namikaze for the clearly labeled vegan options!! Bookmarked for when I pass through Fresno again.

Five of us came in for dinner. They were pretty busy for a Tuesday evening. We had a 20 min wait. Which gave us time to look over the menu. So we were ready to order when we sat down. My fiancé loved his ramen soup. My brother loved his rolled Royce roll. I enjoyed my dragon roll and my brother’s girlfriend really liked the chicken teriyaki bowl with bacon friend rice. My mom really loves her ebi-temp roll and her ebi-tempura appetizer. We also had green tea and the spicy garlic edamame. The food was good. The service was even better. They have a great happy hour menu as well.

Hi, the food was good but expensive compared to places that are as good, or better. The service staff was kind and attentive. The atmosphere wasn't as great as I would expect for the price (very visible wear and tear, louder than necessary music for lunch time, etc.). High chairs were dirty so I opted for a booster.

I thought the portions were small. When I get fried chicken from other Japanese spots they’re usually really big pieces and very crunchy, whatever it was here was tiny Chic Fil A sized nuggets, only smaller. What a rip off. The chicken bowl was wack as well, it was probably the amount of half a chicken thigh sliced on a bed of rice. I could’ve forgave that, but they had the audacity to add a gratuity to the check and ask for an ADDITIONAL tip. The lunch special was nothing special. Increase portion sizes, I’m not even a big back but I felt ripped off

The quality of the food for the price just wasn’t there. It was obvious they were skimping on the protein attempting to save on costs. I really don’t mind paying a higher price to get a proper dish but this was far from it. It was mid at best. The worst part for me was I ordered their waygu as I was very excited to try it but when it came it was covered in a heavy sauce that defeated the purpose. Atmosphere was good overall I like the dim lighting. But it felt a bit dirty and poorly kept. Service was the only saving grace in my opinion. It was top notch. No issue there. All that being said there is allot of other options for sushi spots in Fresno and I will go elsewhere next time.
