Wonderful gem found while traveling through on a road trip. Most reviews were posted 3+ years ago due to a fire. They reopened two months ago from the time this was posted. The owner took her time explaining and letting us try different drinks she makes. Her passion for creating and running her restaurant shines through the her personality and the quality of food, agua fresca and cream concoctions. Carnitas were seasoned very well and tender served simply with cilantro and onion. They asked if I needed any sauce, but it didn't occur to until later they make their own. I'm sure it's just as wonderful as everything else. My only disappointment is that this restaurant is many states away, but so worth a special trip even if it's a few hour drive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

It is pretty good food the Aguas Fresca they are delicious. Food is really good as well and very nice place . It is a dirt lot next to this place for truck and trailer can stop to eat

Tried the tripas and they were bomb. The tortillas was a full size packed with meat. The aguas de melon was great

It’s thanksgiving, most places are closed. Carniceria Hernandez was open. This is one of those times when I win the prize. The food tastes home made with fresh ingredients and became best friends with my face immediately. I even got food to go. If you want fine dining, go to a fancy restaurant. If you want delicious food and your mouth to stand up and dance, go here.

Excellent food. If you're hungry and want a filling meal, eat here. The ladies who waited on me were the best. Very nice. I suggest the red salsa. The verse was great but I prefer red. The ice tea was perfect. Thank ladies for the excellent meal.

Authentic Mexican food.(tacos al pastor) Great tasting aguas frescas (I had strawberry). The green salsa was delicious and with a kick. Great for lunch.

Came to town from a long haul(5/5/17), and had some Amazing tacos and a burrito! Old place burned down, but they're right down the street to the east. Great food and Great service!

I order chilindrinas,and they make the order when they where ready to give it to me they said we don't have cueritos, I cancelled the order and leave really disappointing,

She tried to argue with me for a bit until the person with me told them I indeed ordered a torta, she didn’t apologize or anything, and while i spoke to her in spanish because people with me only spoke spanish she kept talking to me in English. That was the worst experience ever, and although I love their food, I will not be returning. I’m sorry but thats a great way to lose loyal customers.

She tried to argue with me for a bit until the person with me told them I indeed ordered a torta, she didn’t apologize or anything, and while i spoke to her in spanish because people with me only spoke spanish she kept talking to me in English. That was the worst experience ever, and although I love their food, I will not be returning. I’m sorry but thats a great way to lose loyal customers.

Their menudo doesn't have hardly any meat or stripe meat in it.i probably found six pieces of meat I'm my bowl. From what I hear from family members that menudo never has much meat in it. I seriously don't and never will recommend this restaurant if you looking to eat menudo.other than that they do fairly okay. Have a great weekend

Let me start by saying that their agua de melon are outstanding, but that's where it ends. Their food is mediocre, the service is next to nothing, they don't even take your food to the table. A woman answered and she toss the phone to another woman, while I was in the middle of explaining that their last review was speaking badly about their food and about the conditions of the chef that the food is not the same they are saying so I’m concerned..the woman that comes on the phone secondly is very rude and says to me to come in person and personally talk to her face-to-face with such attitude . I ask her what do you mean by that and she goes well do you wanna come see me face-to-face so that her review is bad and asked about the conditions of the restaurant in the food quality she gets very offended and gets very defensive and she says you know what you could take your business elsewhere because the chef is the same and the food is going to be the same and I was very disgusted by her comments and lack of care. By the way she talked me just goes to show how they treat the food. It’s a reflection of them that the restaurant is failing and that’s why they’re doing so poorly. I put this review because I didn’t even go in there because of the situation over the phone, they couldn’t even understand that I am calling to make sure that I’m not gonna have the same experience to be told to take your business somewhere else we don’t want you here with a nasty attitude. That’s the reason I’m putting in this review and seems like they don’t care. I suggest no one goes there anymore before reading these comments . They’re probably super unsanitary and probably will get sick after eating there. It’s bad management under under a careless owner clearly .‼️‼️‼️‼️
