Hands down best Mexican food. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and the best people take care of you there. My family has been coming here for 36 years because it’s always been excellent. Get the hot salsa, the carne asada, and the mango tres leches—you won’t regret it
Traditional Tex-Mex done exceptionally well. The overall menu is extensive and the lunch menu in particular, while not huge, has some wonderful reasonably priced selections. Try the bowls - excellent. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating - both tables and booths. Quiet and peaceful without much ambient noise. Service is fast and friendly. Food is delivered hot and the flavors are delicious. Great drink menu…margaritas are must. Great for lunch and dinner. Family friendly and great for business meetings and date night.
Cantina Laredo is a true gem! From the moment we walked in, we were transported to the heart of Mexico City. The ambiance is sophisticated yet vibrant, and the service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, guiding us through the menu and offering excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely divine – authentic Mexican cuisine elevated to an art form. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the margaritas were some of the best I've ever had. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant; it's a culinary experience you won't soon forget. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and refined taste of Mexico City!
My first time here. Such a great menu. The margarita list makes it hard to choose! They all sound so yummy. We all thought the food was great. Parking is very accessible.
Excellent food with excellent service from Miguel. Pulled chicken enchiladas were delicious. The table salsa has a delicious smokiness to it. The table side made guac appetizer is also excellent.
Very lovely date here with my wife. Food, service, and atmosphere were excellent!
Company function. Food was good. Service was excellent. Bottomless margaritas were amazing.
Great Service and Great Food. We enjoyed a queso and the salsas before dinner. Then all different dishes were enjoyed by all. Variety for all taste.
Great place. We recently hosted a large organization meeting at this Mexican restaurant and it was an absolutely great. Tatiana assisted with reservations and menu selection, provided excellent service. The staff went above and beyond. The food was delicious. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for fantastic Mexican food and great service.
Awesome service and clean bathrooms! The food is always great! Love this place! Back in town from NC. This place does not miss. Great staff and service.
Sunday brunch with mimosas is a favorite of ours 🍾 🥂. We come here with friends after church and really enjoy it. The food is wonderful. I love that we are always given our own personal salsa bowl for the chips. Today we did table side guacamole for the first time, which was a special treat. Sunday brunch comes with a complimentary mimosa. We ordered Chiliquiles and Asada. So good Others ordered beef and chicken enchiladas and chicken quesadillas.
My mother and I just had a wonderful experience at this nice little restaurant. Having dined at one of their other locations, I came in with expectations in mind. Despite it being a Saturday night, and every restaurant having an hour or longer wait, we came in and there was availability and seating was immediate. Our server, Giavanny was quickly at our table and was friendly, and we received our chips and salsa within less than a minute of being seated. The chips were better than what you usually get, and were properly salted. Despite being around 8PM, the restaurant GM, Ramiro was also in the dining room the whole time, checking and making sure the staff and customers were taken care of and had what they needed, he even remembered my mother and I from the said other location. We both enjoyed the dishes we ordered, and found the ingredients to be good quality and better than we remembered. The restaurant had a quieter atmosphere, to be expected for 8PM, but this is a great place if you are looking for good food in a relaxed environment. Overall, our experience was great, and we will be back now that we know there is a Cantina Laredo not far from us. I highly recommend checking out this spot!
I went her for the first time recently, I was not disappointed the wait staff were great and the manager asked us if everything was ok twice! Totally, love this place the food was amazing. Would recommend to everyone. 10 stars!!!!!
I love going yo traditionally run restaurants. They take their food seriously. And with my 80 year old mom and dad with me, they couldn't been more helpful in explaining a dish or recommendations. I'm in DFW area, and I swore I was on the border! We are truly spoiled here in the South, with restaurants, food and service this here.
One of the best experiences in service I've ever had. Cruz was our waiter, very engaging, food was excellent and great atmosphere. Even the cook asked us how our experience was.
We ordered 3 dozen tamales for Christmas this year! I am from South Texas and know good tamales. These were spot on! So delicious! Thank you Cantina Laredo for making our early Christmas celebration yummy!
Went here for lunch and got the sushi sashimi bento. Let’s skip to the star of the meal. The sushi was fresh with no fishy taste. I didn’t care for the seaweed and I don’t normally eat it. The salad had a bit too much dressing on it so I ate around it. Miso soup came with it and was good. The half orange was a nice way to end the meal. My companion liked her chicken teriyaki and and the side items that came with her bento. One of the fried items was a fried potato ball. The restaurant has a few different seating areas that have different decor. It looks upscale and place you can bring a date to.
Edoko is a sushi lover’s dream. Every visit has been an adventure as I work my way through the menu, and each time I discover new favorites. The sushi is consistently fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. What makes Edoko special is how balanced the menu is—whether it’s a classic roll or something more creative, the quality shines through. This has quickly become one of my go-to spots, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys sushi. For visitors in town, Edoko is a must-do dining experience. Pictured are just a few of the incredible dishes we enjoyed—and there are so many more worth coming back for.
After moving to this area about a year ago, we were excited to see SO many sushi places, as we love good sushi! But, “good” was the operant word. We painstakingly waded through many, many of the local sushi places in both Frisco and Plano. Most were a huge disappointment, and weren’t at all consistent. When someone recommended Edoko, we knew we had found our perfect sushi place! First of all, the sushi was not just good, but was outstanding. And consistent…every single time, it was the same , and the best we’d ever had. Secondly, the service was beyond compare! We always ask for Kie, and we no longer even need menus…he sees us, knows that we always order the same foods and deserts, and notifies the amazing sushi chefs as soon as we sit down. He knows that I like my roll pieces half-width, as the size of their rolls is the most generous in the area. He also automatically brings us not one, but two glasses of our beverage of choice, knowing we will each need another before the meal is over…this includes remembering the exact number of lemon slices I like with my iced tea. The food is just amazing, including the beautiful and tasty orchid-looking edible flowers that adorn each dish. Thirdly, their location is so convenient to both Frisco and Plano…121 and Legacy…easy to get to from virtually anywhere around. Since we had recently moved to the area, we found block numbers assigned to locations off of 121 confusing. But when we realized that Edoko was really on Legacy at 121, it made getting there so much easier. We really have tried most of the local sushi places in the year since we moved here, and all too many were a terrible waste of money. We are done experimenting. We can ALWAYS count on.Edoko for fresh, generous, delicious, and consistent sushi, and we no longer have any desire to check out any other sushi places. This places is about as perfect a place as you can find anywhere, let alone in this area. It is an oasis of calm and good, trustworthy,,and consistent excellence. I highly recommend that you request Kie…I’m sure that everyone there is good, but he is the absolute best!
The food was amazing and well priced. I love that they allow brown rice substitutions for their sushi rolls for those who are more on the diabetic side or just prefer brown rice. Our kids loved the yakisoba beef noodles. Our waiter never let our waters run out which was amazing he was very friendly and helpful explaining things on the menu. I loved that they had authentic Japanese green tea it is really makes a difference it's very soothing compared to American green tea. I would highly recommend this place and come back if I'd lived in the area but sadly I lived 3 hours away. Definitely worth the money and it's a very inviting calming environment. If you're in the area it's a must go!
Great service, quality sushi, and atmosphere! Strong drinks, too. We had the hibiscus lychee martini and French 75. As for sushi, we enjoyed the salmon sashimi (mh fav), hamachi carpaccio, lady Karen roll, and butterfly kiss roll. Can’t say too much on the pricing bc I never saw the bill 🙂↕️🤭
Continually the best service, the best food, and favorite spot for date night or family dinner. The gentleman, “Key” is world class in service and makes every dining experience unique and special. The chef is creative and kind, with an exciting specials menu and phenomenal suggestions. I could leave 50 more reviews just like this for Edoko and every dining experience we have here. We hope you love us as much as we love you, because you have no choice but to see us every week.
This place is amazing! Everything I've had is amazing, from their Sashimi, to their sushi, and their duck! Uff, their duck is amazing! Great ambiance, the place is very cool. It's a great place to have a conversation with friends. Will come back. Highly recommended. On my top 10 restaurants for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area so far.
I recently visited this sushi restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience! The freshness of the fish was unmatched—especially the bluefin tuna, which just melted in my mouth. They serve generous portions compared to other places, making it absolutely worth the price. The presentation was beautiful, with vibrant colors and delicate garnishes that showed attention to detail. Not only was the food incredible, but the atmosphere was also inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you’re a sushi lover looking for quality and freshness, this place is a must-visit. Definitely 5 stars!
Haven’t been here in 10 years. There’s really no excuse since I live right around the corner, but suffice it to say that I had some bad tuna (elsewhere, not Edoko) and paid the price dearly the following morning. This wrecked me, landed me in the ER, and left me with a rather unpleasant taste aversion - so much so that I swore off tuna and all sushi because I was afraid I would become ill, regardless of the venue. I was reluctant, but I decided to keep an open mind. My Aunt and Uncle are in town visiting from Toronto, and this is the place they requested for lunch today. Knowing what I knew from the last time we dined here, I was eagerly anticipating our long overdue visit - and at the same time - curious to see how different our experience would be and see how the food quality has changed over the years. I am happy to report that the food, service, and ambiance are all on point and much more improved than our visit in 2014. We were promptly greeted at the host stand and taken to a booth. The first thing I noticed was the ambiance - a delightfully adorned and elegantly designed intimate dining space with a clear aura and good vibes from start to finish. Started things off with some Hot Sake which was really smooth. We enjoyed that. Key was our server. He checked on us throughout our meal and made sure we had what we needed - including topping off our water glasses. I ordered the Paradise Roll (see attached pictures) which was solid! So fresh and so flavorful topped with just the right size of Mango. Next came the (not pictured) Teriyaki Chicken (which my Mom and Aunt ordered), followed by the Chicken Fried Rice (see attached picture) that my Mom and I shared. My Uncle ordered the Cajun Snapper (not pictured) and Dynamite Shrimp Roll (not pictured). We all enjoyed our meals and even had more than enough to box up the remainder to take home. Generous portions and reasonable prices - especially at lunch! For the 4 of us, the total after tax for 7 items came to $123.40. Will have to return for the Green Tea Cheesecake- that looked delicious, but our entire party was too full. Definitely adding this to our rotation. We will be back!
We found a new *(for us)* Japanese Sushi house to replace (unfortunately) our old favorite haunt, that recently closed it's doors forever.... we tried Edoko Sushi & Robata in Frisco tonight and boy! We are glad we did! This place was a instant hit! The staff are all extremely friendly and inviting. Our server was named Jordan (we will be requesting him by name if he is on duty) A very impressive young man, very knowledgeable of everything we asked about on the menu. We took his advice on the menu and we where not disappointed, we explained the flavor combinations that where our favorites and then he made a few suggestions that we tried and they where indeed very delicious! We were super impressed with everything we tried of particular note was the Calamari Steak fingers (to die for), The California roll, The Edoko Fire Roll (my personal favorite so far) and my wife's current favorite The Temptation Roll equally delicious and you could seriously taste the freshness of the fish they used in all the rolls we sampled. But the true highlight of the evening was the Creme Brule (that Jordan also suggested) it was hands down the best we ever had in Dallas, possibly the best we have had In The United States. It was the penicle of dessert deliciousness, utterly outstanding. We have tried many from Texas to Florida and all States in between and it is one of our favorite go to desserts when we are in the mood and this was it # 1. *special not, they make and ferment their own house made soy sauce and it is better then anything I've ever found in a grocery store. You can buy a bottle at the restaurant for a very reasonable price to take home as a souvenir. We did.
We had a great birthday dinner at Edoko Sushi! Our server was wonderful and the other staff members were so kind to us. We loved all of our entrees and appetizers. Our server checked in on us frequently and drinks were kept full. Edoko is definitely worth a stop when in the Frisco area if you like sushi and seafood.
In all honesty, this was a really good restaurant! I came with a friend for valentine’s day, and had dinner, the food was ok it could be better, as I am very picky when it comes to mexican food , I just didn’t like the rice, but that’s just me! All in all, service was amazing! and I got to enjoy my food and the atmosphere
Good service, exceptional atmosphere, good food. I ordered the Edoko #1 roll, pumpkin tempura, and squid tempura. The Pumpkin and Squid Tempura was nothing special, but was good. The Edoko #1 roll was the standout of my meal. Most rolls that have this many ingredients are mediocre because none of the ingredients are distinguishable, but this roll was great and presented very well. My only gripe would be that the roll was hard to fit in one's mouth My partner got some robata, pork Gyoza, and the hot stone beef. The robata was good, and the pork Gyoza was great, but the hot rock was disappointing. The beef was extremely thin and you only got a few pieces. Cooking on the rock was difficult, causing the beef to stick and shred. Finally, the beef was served with a large portion of regular slice mushrooms that seems to still have the dirt from the package on them.
We went here years ago and it was AWESOME. Today, the table side guacamole was just mediocre. The burrito my husband ordered wasn't anything special and my chicken fajitas were just basic. The birthday brownie my Mom got was dry, hard and tasteless. I'm sad this place used to be really good.
Came here for our weekly date night as regular customers of these types of restaurants. Bf ordered Calamari, tempura pumpkin and the signature roll #1. I got gyoza, yakitori chicken, yakiniku short ribs, and the hot rock. The gyoza was more equivalent to mandu (had rice noodles inside, and a lot more fried and crispy than usual gyoza), but I enjoyed it alright for the price. My chicken was average at best and lacked flavor even with the sauce it was drenched in. The short ribs were the highlight of what I ordered, and had good grill taste and plenty more than I thought I would be receiving. The hot plate however was incredibly gimmicky, even more so than I expected. The meat was flavorless even when dipped in ponzu and even with the provided butter it stuck horribly to the rock. The mushrooms weren’t that impressive either, and you get maybe 7 tiny slices of beef. Do not get this dish if you come here. Bf enjoyed his pumpkin and calamari but said the tempura skin lacked flavor. However, he greatly enjoyed his sushi roll for the price and noted he would get it again. Overall, for the food I personally received, it was average at best and for sure overpriced. You can get similar better food nearby at a better price at Umiya off of Preston. I personally do not really wish to return for the price tag. Note that parking here was a bit crowded on a Friday night. We parked a 3-5 min walk away.
Tried this place out for my mom’s birthday. Food was alright. What disappointed me completely was seeing a live roach causally crawling on a table next to us. Got up and let the GENERAL manager know not much consideration was given as to the experience we just had. We got more compassion and empathy from the server than the manager which we explained to the server it wasn’t his fault. For this restaurant being in a nice area i’m truly surprised with this. Stay away if you don’t want to causally see a roach traveling by as you’re eating your dessert.
Just had lunch at the Frisco location. Should have paid attention to red flag when food was brought to my table 5 minutes after I ordered it. (Faster than Taco Bell). Food was cold, enchiladas nice and chewy and rice and beans seemed to have been sitting around for a while. It will be the last visit there! This is NOT the Cantina Laredo is used to know!!!!!
