Anthony (Beer Chronicle) Gorrity

Delicious food, quick service, and a pretty diverse menu make this a spot that I’ll be back to. Sort of a fast diner feel in terms of the service, but a homey aesthetic warms it up a notch. It doesn’t hurt that they don’t have much competition nearby! It seems too simple, but the toast and jelly were perfectly satisfying accompaniments to my Mexican omelette. With an egg allergy, I usually get weird looks when I order an “omelette but sub the eggs for potatoes.” After some back and forth about how he couldn’t do that in the ordering system, the young man figured out a way. My son and wife also enjoyed theirs. The chalk and sign art is the cherry on top for me. So creative.

We had a delightful breakfast at this small Cafe. You order at the rest of the cafe, then find a table... It have your wife hold the table while you go up and order. . I had French Toast, bacon, and a bonus breakfast taco. Had I known how big the entree was, I would have slipped the taco. The toast was huge and littered with strawberries and blueberries. It was very good. The bacon was crisp without being burned. The taco was very large and the chorizo was delicious. . My wife struggled to finish her Pecan Waffle. It was large as well. Her sausage was tasty indeed, just a wee bit crumbly. . Our friends had a Red Omelet which he enjoyed, while she had the Club Sandwich. . Good was uniformly delicious, service was fast and efficient. This is a well-run place.

It was so good! The latte was great but the breakfast was worth returning for again and again. The people were so busy on a Saturday morning but we were served quickly and nicely. We sat outside with our dog and they brought her water.

We will definitely come back to Essence House Cafe when in town. Food was delicious, service was fabulous and the atmosphere was welcoming. This is definitely a Hidden Gem.

This was our 1st visit today. The Cafe has 12 tables and had a constant flow of people in and out. We weren't 100% sure if we should seat ourselves or wait, but later saw people writing names on a list for a wait (mental note for next time). It took a moment to be greeted. Our server got our drinks and took our order quickly. The food was very good. I ordered an omelet and my husband got a traditional breakfast with eggs and meat. We enjoyed our visit, and the pricing was reasonable. Looking forward to our next visit.

I was so excited to check out this cute cafe…we parked and strolled on over. The cafe itself is cozy, feels warm and inviting. The display case is filled with delicious looking cakes…we showed up 20 minutes prior to closing and the staff did not appear too excited about being there…the coffee was ok…the red velvet cookie was great…the chai tea latte tasted not very right - I’m not sure what happened but either someone filled a cup that contained existing residue or they just didn’t want to take the extra effort to stir a $5 cup of chai tea coffee. The chalk art on the wall is interesting.

They are way over priced. Secondly, what breakfast place doesn't put or substitute French toast for a child but make you buy the adult plate with only 1 full piece of bread? That's a child size. Lastly, there is no mistaken the taste of sink water. If they are going to charge what they do the least they could do is filter the water. It's disgusting. However, the food was good and the place is a cute place.

I ordered the essence breakfast. When the food arrived it was very pleasing to the eye and appetizing. However, I ordered over medium eggs and received over easy, the potatoes and bacon were obviously not cooked to order as there were both ice cold. The pancakes were hot and fresh, but were lacking flavor. My breakfast with ice tea and tax was more than $16. No one ever came by the table to ask how my food was. I will not be back.

Poor customer service. Been ordering and eating here for the last 4 years. Today we get our food home and none of the sauce that should be with the food was there. I call to the store and the manager says he can give me SAUCE any other day I come back up there. SAUCE?! No sir that’s unacceptable! The sandwiches taste bland without the sauce. Their manager needs more training on customer service and how to handle these type of situations.

I usually come here for my clients everyday for lunch. This specific day there was a new lady working with me and she ordered a tuna sandwich from here as I was picking the sandwich up from essencehouse the cashier told me the price and I was on the call with the lady and told her the price the lady said to cancel the order because she couldn’t afford it.. so I told the cashier to cancel the order.. so today 7/27 I came in to pick up an order for my client and the lady was very rude handing me a ticket and talking very rude to me infront of ALOT of customers telling me I have to pay for that order .. I explained to her that it wasn’t my order and I don’t even eat tuna fish.. she was still VERY RUDE AND TALKING TO ME CRAZY I COULD NOT BELIEVE HER!! Her name is ALLEJANDRIA ! Absolutely disgusting behavior!
