I was staying at the Wyndham hotel just down the street. Wanted food but not my usual restaurants around. Italian food is usually a good choice. I got the spaghetti garlic butter with 2 meatballs. It was very good. Didn't upset my stomach later like a lot of food can. $21.00 spaghetti and tea with 2-3 breadsticks.
This place has a great atmosphere. Dim dining room with xandles on the tables, no windows, looking for Vito sitting in the corner. The service is top notch. Kind, fast, and knowledgeable. The food is good but is a bit lacking. I'm not sure but the meatballs could be frozen, the texture, flavor, and size are not what you should get from a homemade meatball. They were disappointing. The crab in the seafood alfredo was obviously imitation but a really bad imitation crab, the texture was not good. Overall our visit was pleasant and we might be back. Just wish those few things would have been better.
Very nice cozy place. We ordered the seafood fettuccine alfredo and salad. The food was delicious. The waitress was so nice and attentive. Come and check them out if you haven't. Definitely coming back.
Luigi’s Italian Restaurant in Midland, Texas, is the kind of place that earns its long lines. It’s a local landmark where authentic, old-school Italian cooking meets small-town warmth. The dining room feels timeless—dim lighting, checkered tables, and the steady hum of conversation from loyal regulars who’ve been coming for decades. The food is consistently solid: hearty pastas, rich Alfredo, classic lasagna, and crisp, cheesy pizzas that hit every comfort note. Portions are generous, pricing is fair, and the service feels personal even when the place is packed. The only real drawbacks are the wait times and limited parking, both of which say more about its popularity than any flaw. Luigi’s isn’t chasing trends—it’s keeping tradition alive, and doing it well. For anyone in Midland looking for real Italian comfort food in a cozy, familiar setting, it remains the go-to spot.
Went early evening although full it was not noisy there was a table available. Tables look close together but you have plenty of space. Got order in and the food came out quickly salad first but the hot meal was close behind. If you like your food and plate hot then you will not be disappointed. Food was delicious and comforting. You can see from the prices it will not break the bank either.
MaMaMiA!!!!! What a place! What an experience! Luigis is a restaurant in the truest sense- they make nearly everything in house! Ranch, idealism dressing, marinara, you name it and they carefully craft it! This helps to create food that is out of sight! The thin crispy style pizza is a must try! The pasta and meatballs we had were incredible as well. But let’s talk about atmosphere- the entire time I was is in the restaurant I had feelings of my time spent in little Italy in lower manhattan. The building is dark and packed with shadows from the candle light dancing everywhere. They really pack the place in with people yet I couldn’t tell you anything about the people sitting near us! Incredible atmosphere that really builds on to a great experience. Our waitress was Kimberly who did an incredible job! Fast, friendly, and always smiling! Overall this left us with one of the best restaurant experiences in west Texas and we look forward to the next visit.
What an excellent find it was when I was introduced to this restaurant during my last trip to Midland. The prices were very reasonable, the service was excellent, and the cuisine was very authentic for an Italian restaurant. There is something of a history wall on both sides of the restaurant, which I feel really should be updated. The place was very clean, and we loved the candles at each table. The place really gave off an old school Italian vibe. My coworker stated that the only thing this place was missing was the Italian mob boss asking Tony to try the minestrone soup!
This is a Great little hole in the wall Restaurant that's Family owned and has a very comfortable atmosphere, The Food is Great and Fresh, Large portions and Very reasonably priced. The Service was great and friendly. I'm a Top 10 Reviewer for Google Maps and I highly recommend this place. I hope to be back in the area and have the opportunity to Eat here again. Great job !!!
I have been wanting to go here to eat many times, but never did, and I talked to a coworker who said he’d like to place. So tonight I went, the parking is extremely limited, but you can still find lots of parking in and around. That’s pretty accessible. The place is very quaint and warm feeling, it remind you of a really nice authentic Italian restaurant. Service was great and the food was just as good, I had the stuffed manicotti with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce. And then for dessert I had tiramisu great place can’t wait to go here again. If you like good Italian food and atmosphere then try it out.
Nice, local, family owned, Italian restaurant. Very popular so either come right as they open or late or be prepared to wait. They only take reservations for large groups. It is a small restaurant. They have a wine and beer menu. Salads, Soups, Sandwiches, Spaghetti and all kinds of pasta. Thin, crispy crust pizza. Chicken parmesan. Eggplant parmesan. Garlic bread. Desserts. Kids menu. Good service. When the restaurant is crowded, it gets very loud.
I love this place. The environment and ambiance makes you feel like you're in NY. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's a little crowded. The food is good and the service has always been good every time I go. The dessert is a must try. The major downside is the parking.
The food is very tasty but they lack service for those who arrive without a reservation, I waited for an hour and a half and no one told us anything when we asked they only said that they were giving priority to reservations many dirty tables they do not hurry to clean them and they last for a long time to dirty minutes and more customers waiting. Among the lack of parking that they deliver to the DoorDash for the entrance, plus the customers to goo, customers with reservation and no reservation is crazy. My emotion and craving turned into stress. In the end they didn't give us a table
They were very accommodating. We came with a group of 20 and the service was decent. The service and the drinks are about then only good things here. The salad was not good, I don’t even know how you mess up a salad. The main meal was ok at best. Spaghetti wasn’t even good and portions are small. The only redeeming quality of this place was the alcohol but, they only allow people to get 2 drinks a person. So even that isn’t that great.
First time trying Luigi’s, we ordered Togo. My husband order Veil and I ordered chicken parmigiana. I get the food home and my husbands food was burnt and very tough. Our garlic toast was soggy. The tomato sauce had to much salt. My husband and I were disappointed. Honestly Fazolis food taste better.
They can’t get a delivery correct. Quality of food has gone way down. This used to be a favorite spot for me and my husband but know I’m widowed and this dinner was suppose to be a special tribute to him on Valentine’s Day. This is where I leave and never come back.
Horrible service and food. It took Over 30 minutes to get served and the "Alfredo" sauce we ordered on our Luigi's chicken delight was watered down and had no flavor. Not to mention it was a $3.50 up charge for Alfredo sauce on the pasta and another $3.50 for the pizza Not worth it at all. And even at that the Pizza was bad. Canned mushrooms and almost no sauce. Our server had such a bad attitude but I can tell she is family to the owner which means she can act how she wants and not face any backlash. Would not recommend and would not eat there again if it was the last pizza joint in the world.
