Just great food! Yes it is in lobby of an appartement building, but don’t let it fool you. Everything from breakfast to Sunday Roast is delicious!

I had a great breakfast at Freska! Sam and Fatima provided incredible customer service and really brightened up my morning. Good food with great service, you can't ask for more!

Great restaurant located on the ground floor of E1 offering excellent food, which is cooked to order, a good range of drinks and friendly service. We visited everyday during our recent week long stay, some days more than once. Service was a little slow a couple of times but it was clear that staff numbers were down on these days and a few minutes extra wait was no hardship.

Very good food and cocktails reasonably priced, served by friendly and helpful staff. Recommend. The cocktails are great. The lady behind the counter even made us four strawberry daiquiris to go as we needed to get the babies home for a nap, which were absolutely delicious. Probably the best strawberry daiquiri I've ever had!

What a delightful lunch! I tried the chicken and mushroom pie after receiving good advice from my server Soraya It came piping hot with the best chips and the gravy on the side in a cute porcelain gravy boat. So much less messy this way. The veggies on the side were yummy, grilled zucchini, sweet peppers, carrots and onion. Portions were generous, service prompt, sleek decor, spotlessly clean. What's not to love??

I regularly go to the E1 Freska restaurant and I have to say it’s become my new go to place. It’s fanatic to grab a coffee and relax, food is also great. Pet friendly if you sit outside or inside the E1 entrance (outside the restaurant). The staff are nice and polite, please keep up the good quality and service and we will keep coming back daily.

El staff perfecto, Alexis, Laura, Soraya y Jasmine y otra chica española con un nombre como vasco que no recuerdo excelentes! La comida está muy buena, hemos probado casi toda la carta ya que venimos aquí todos Los Santos días, si no es para desayunar es para comer y si no para cenar, solo nos falta dormir aquí , el sunday roast buenisimo. Solo una pega… las servilletas verdes estas nuevas no limpian nada, por favor poned otras o las que teníais antes azules de papel mucho mejor, estas verdes son malísimas no cumplen nada con su función. Gracias 😻

Freska is a lovely little restaurant with a great English breakfast. Friendly service and delicious food. We will definitely be coming back when we visit Gibraltar again. Highly recommended

My mum and I stayed 5 nights in E1 suites and we had breakfast at Freska every morning as it was included as part of our stay. We are both vegan and were so pleased to see so many vegan options on the menu. We enjoyed the vegan breakfast, the peanut butter/banana mollete, and the museli. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs I.e. removing the yoghurt from the muesli, removing the toast from our vegan breakfast and giving us extra beans instead. The smoothies are incredible, really fresh tasting - the green smoothie was my favourite. I also used to have a chai tea every morning which is freshly brewed by Freska - no syrups!

Team are really committed- super friendly- Its unusual in that you can get the best burger 🍔 in Gibraltar 🇬🇮 but also a clean smoothie- juice 🥤 Cheers - Rob

The new Freska is great because it provided some service to Beachview terraces. It’s nicely decorated and has a good range or breakfast options.

We had lovely meals and especially the vegetable soup was delicious 😋 The staff were very friendly and the service very good. Would like to say a big thank you for our bacon rolls first thing Sunday morning. Ready at 8am just as we asked . Thank you and see you soon.

The ham croquets were delicious and creamy, as were the Brie Fritters with cranberry sauce! I enjoyed every bite of the Freska Pasta with perfectly prepared chicken. My daughter’s Ceasar salad was packed with Parmesan, chicken and bacon. The servers were attentive and friendly. The seating is comfortable with options to eat inside, on a patio or in the lobby area. Upbeat music and a TV, area decorated nicely with beautifully displayed desserts. We had a lovely experience here!

We were staying at the E1 Suites and had lunch here on our last day. The food is excellent - I can wholeheartedly recommend "The Rock" - hand on heart probably one of the best burgers I have ever had! 🙂 Staff were attentive and super-helpful too. I would definitely recommend a visit!

I always come here after using the spa in the same building. Lovely food and best Sunday roast ever! Good price too. If they take a little long to bring food it’s because they cook everything as fresh as possible for you ❤️

Prices are good, service was good as well, and the seating area, although comfortable, it can be really loud if there’s a lot of people (no acoustic solution so lots of sound echoes)

This place started off so well. Great food, great service. Now the service is not good. Clearing the bar and tables is more important than serving. The staff never smile and seem a bit surly. Not the place it was.

The meal was generally well put together, but there’s room for improvement in the flavours. The steak was a bit dry and lacked seasoning, which made it feel slightly bland. Great prawns 😋 The carbonara was fairly decent. Thanks Ami and Laura for the service xx

Leider waren wir vom Frühstück nicht wirklich überzeugt. Die Eggs Benedict waren nicht wirklich lecker. Dennoch hat es gut gesättigt und war relativ günstig. Der Kaffee war lecker.

The design is lovely- new, modern, fresh. Good start 👍 however I have mixed feelings. Just felt a bit awkward with a few things. Had to grab the menu after a while, wrong plate was served, full english served with no butter nor sauces. Butter stiff as.. and in general all not the best. Those little things plus a fairly high price is more 3 than 4 but it could be just our bad luck🫣

Freska E1 in Gibraltar is a reliable all-day, all-week option for a last-minute meal. Food: Solid pub fare—pizza, pasta, burgers, and other gastropub staples. Nothing standout or unique beyond what you’d expect in a local spot, but the basics are solid. Service/Ambience: The atmosphere can be noisy, especially in the atrium with the echo and the busy doors. The seating area is loud, and conversations can feel loud and scattered, which can make dining a bit inefficient or chaotic at times. Value: Reasonable prices for a casual, all-day spot in Gibraltar; portions are decent and good for sharing. Verdict: Maybe/Meh. Reliable for a casual, last-minute meal, but don’t expect standout dishes or a quiet dining experience. (If you see a guy in what look like pyjamas sitting inside the door, i recommend you sit outside, he'll talk loudly non stop in spanish to whoever will listen making sitting inside uncomfortable)

Photos ate fraudulent and deceptive 100% Came for breakfast, ordered scrambled eggs with toast , beans , avocado and hash brown with a cappuccino and I enjoyed it. Our server was also very nice.

Service needs improvement, we entered and had no hello, weren't given menus we had to get them ourselves whilst staff chat, not sure they knew what they were doing. Shame because when the food and drinks finally came (took ages) it was great food but service was bad and slow.

I had only smoothie, it was just ok only 1 thing that needs to say is too many flies all over this place that was concerned me. Too many I mean really on everything, every single table, chairs, on the counter, beer taps, wine glasses etc. I work in hospitality & catering.. I know why and this should not be ignored.

Bad experience

I had previously (through my own naivety) gave a good review about Freska but having lived at E1 for 6 months I have realised the previous review was not a true reflection... The staff (The Spanish Staff) are particularly rude and your lucky if you get a smile...the atmosphere due to the Spanish speaking staff is horrible and your not made to feel welcome at all. There has also been incidents in the past where not only myself has been over charged but several of my friends that live at E1 and the surrounding areas. The staff needs to learn how to smile and not be rude to paying customers, either that or have a staff overhaul.

To say this was a bad experience would be an understatement! Lets start with the food, bland and lackluster, very boring menu not executed well... we order 3 small dished that over took over 40mins to arrive and the order was WRONG. as for the terrible service, once staff was informed that food was incorrect (as I do not eat pork and told the staff this, only to be given the pork option) there was no care taken or apology given, the Spanish staff memeber simple shrugged and blamed the kitchen. Atmosphere was also low and depressing, none of the staff look like they Want to be there and do not check in with customers. I had to go and inform them about the error in the food. Would give a 0 if I could, dont waste your money or time...

Very disappointed with the service, the egg with toast was fine it would ve been better if comes together with the coffee, however i asked for an other coffee so i can enjoy with my toast which they could ve prepared in less than 2min, it took them 10 and i had to get up to double check if my order getting proceed. The waitress replied to me that we have something else to do before you order ! At that pointed i decided to leave. I DONT RECOMMEND SPECIALLY FOR BF PPL

Appalling Service Today I visited today, and despite the restaurant not being busy, the service was shockingly slow. I understand that service here can be slow at times, but today was beyond unacceptable. It started with a 40-minute wait just to have our order taken. After that, we waited an hour for our food to arrive—just four simple plates. Meanwhile, the waiters were chatting amongst themselves, showing little urgency. After raising three complaints and an hour of waiting, our food finally arrived, but one plate was wrong. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for the correction. This kind of service is appalling. I hope the manager or owner takes notice and addresses these issues. Will not be returning anytime soon.
