I loved the taste of the pizza—it was barbecue chicken and it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich, smoky, and perfectly balanced. The whole restaurant has such a warm and friendly vibe that it makes the experience even better. And the burrata was incredible; I could honestly eat it every single day and never get tired of it.
Liberty Market is always a fantastic choice for dinner and tonight was no exception. Duke did a fantastic job and made sure that my wife and I had a great dining experience. We got the burrata to start with the extra bread add on. I highly recommend the extra bread, it is only a couple dollars more and it is well worth it! For dinner we had the Salmon & Polenta and the Braised Short Rib. The servings were perfect and the food itself was delicious. I did not get a picture of the short rib because I was starving but it was perfection! Would highly recommend a visit to Liberty Market when in downtown Gilbert!
Amazing experience here for breakfast. Our server Brooke was phenomenal so sweet and quick with our order. The cortado was life changing and they also have a delicious bloody marry and a killer mimosa. Would definitely come back for breakfast again!
Absolutely love this place! This was my second time coming to Liberty Market and it never disappoints. I had the chilaquiles this morning and they were delicious — full of flavor and perfectly made! The atmosphere is warm, the service is friendly, and the food always hits the spot. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and good vibes in Gilbert!
I hadn’t been to Liberty Market in years, so I went back for Sunday breakfast with a friend who loves the place. We ordered the American Standard with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, Liberty potatoes, and pancakes everything was flavorful, especially the fluffy pancakes and tasty berry compote. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and I’d definitely come back, maybe even for that giant cinnamon roll next time.
Liberty has the BEST specials hands down! 😍 Service, food, vibes, and employees are all 10/10. Honestly, it’s my favorite spot for date night — always a perfect experience. 💕
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lynda and I stopped in for lunch today, and Liberty Market absolutely delivered. I ordered “The Best Chicken” (yes, that’s really the name on the menu) — a perfectly grilled chicken sandwich with a slight tinge of spice, layered with melted cheese, fresh tomatoes that make it pop, crisp onions, and a tangy green sauce that ties all the flavors together. Paired with hot, fresh French fries, it lived up to the name. The atmosphere is outstanding: exposed brick, rustic charm, open bar, and high ceilings that make it feel cool and open — exactly what you want when it’s 106° outside. The place was buzzing with families after church, yet there was no wait when we arrived. Service was top-notch. Our waitress was attentive, and the manager, Julie, personally stopped by to check on us. That kind of care is rare and shows why Liberty Market has been a Gilbert favorite for so many years. If you’re looking for a go-to lunch spot in Gilbert, Liberty Market is it. Great food, great vibe, excellent service, and a true community feel.
Amazing sesame ginger noodle salad with chicken was out of this world. Atmosphere was loud, but it was because of our 14 people group....
Stumbled upon this great restaurant. We had been traveling all day with flights and driving which had us really hungry and hungry for good food. Looked old fashioned and nostalgic on the outside and the inside didn’t disappoint. Obviously the interior had remodeled during recent times but very tasteful done, which is a good mix of local feel, modern hip hangout, cozy spots for private conversations and esthetic updates. The food did not disappoint. We had the tuna tartare and the pepperoni pizza. Both flavored well and seasoned appropriately. The menu had so many things we would like to go back and try. This place is a MUST is you’re in Gilbert Arizona. We had Kate as our server and she had a pleasant way about her, enthusiastic about life, knowledgeable about the menu and checked on us joyfully.
Excellent choice for downtown Gilbert, Arizona. The restaurant has many great menu items for everyone. The service was outstanding and very attentive. The food prices are responsible and the food quality is amazing. There are several parking options on the street or at a nearby public parking lot. I recommend making brunch reservations in advance because it is a very popular location.
A great spot for breakfast or lunch in downtown Gilbert. The menu offers something for all palettes. The Chilaquiles with green chile pork was outstanding 👌. Also their biscuits are excellent with a nice thin, light crust and a soft fluffy inside, perfect with the Scratch-made Schreiners sausage gravy. Coffee is very nice as well. The owner Kiersten whom works the front of house is very kind and considerate. She takes time to visit with the patrons and improve their day with her positive and upbeat attitude.
Had a fantastic meal and date. Food was fresh and the service was on point. We had the Elote pizza and wow is all I can say. The crust, toppings and flavor was perfect. The dough was crispy and lite. We also had a few appetizers. The JALAPEÑO POPPER EMPANADAS were so tasty. The breading was just enough to hold the cheesy goodness together and the green sauce it was paired with was mouthwatering. The Loaded fries with bacon was something to remember, no shortage of bacon. 😋 I highly recommend this place. p.s. The Chef hand wrote the recipes on the bathroom walls. 💪
Let's talk about the bread whatever they put in it made it absolutely perfect, and the butter spread was incredible. I usually don’t use a lot of butter, but I would have gladly paid $10 for a stick of that one! The service was wonderful. The restaurant had a cozy, dimly lit atmosphere, though at times it felt a bit too dark. I've been here before and will definitely return, maybe for breakfast next time. Also, their recent renovation looks absolutely beautiful!
Loved a family brunch at this restaurant. Service is great and food came out very quickly. Everything tasted great. We had breakfast burrito(the sauces were tasty), avocado toast and grilled veggie and eggs.
We’ve been going to Liberty Market some it opened. The to the restaurant are nice, but I wish they kept more of the original shopping carts. A free weeks prior I met a friend for the cinnamon roll and luckily the waitress stated that sharing it was a good idea! So when I went with my sister, I made sure we shared it! I got the green chili and egg dish. I really liked it! But next time I’ll remember to ask for the eggs to be scrambled hard, they were a little too mushy for me. My sister got the chilaquiles with chicken and said they are just as good as before!! I love Liberty for the ambiance and comfy seats. You are not rushed and the staff knows their food!
UPDATE: Brought family in after telling them about how good the food was. We were sorley disappointed this visit the butter bread was over salted and I mean it was extremely salty not at all enjoyable. The service was still good as I truly think they hire nice good people but the food just wasn't the best this visit. Though it looked good the taste just wasn't there. Maybe next time This was our second time back in because of the great food and mainly for the honey butter and bread appetizer. Our waitress did forget to put in the order for that so we got our dinner and no bread. But they were super sorry and comped the bread and we ate it for desert so all worked out. Great people great environment they have an open kitchen which is cool you can watch them cook food with 4 different bathroom themes which is unique and a wood fire grill for the pizza. Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had lunch here this weekend. They serve breakfast until 1pm on the weekend so we had a mix. The breakfast burrito is huge and we ended up splitting one. Great tasting sandwiches too. Dog friendly patio but you have to order inside so you will need another person to do so. Second visit. The food was still excellent with some chocolate pancakes and chillaquiles. Service was horribly slow and we had to ask for service more than once. Might have been a fluke but shouldn't happen.
Great food, quiet, cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered something I've never had before in all the other up class and trendy restaurants nearby- apricot chicken. One word, Devine! Every bite was a reward. I stayed impressed, surprised and happy until I finished my meal! Chicken was perfectly cooked, the sweet potatoes in the dish were also perfectly cooked, which is somewhat hard to do by many other fine restaurants. The flavor was almost indescribable other than just plain delicious! Their bar looked very clean, comfy and welcoming. With so many other hip and trendy restaurants close by, I was a bit amazed, and lucky that Liberty Market wasn't that crowded. They certainly should be with food like this.
Had business dinner at the back table with 5 of us and received great service from Julie. Enjoyed the appetizers, main course, and desserts. Relelaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return. Edit: Returned on 11/6/2024 for lunch with staff. Great service in a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone should try the bread with sweet butter. I liked how the chef committed to the flavors of the smothered breakfast burrito - nice spicy aftertaste. I ate the burrito in two meals due to size. There is also a separate meeting / conference room on the 2nd floor in an adjoining building, ready for business meetings, with rolling big screen TV. Downside: no attached bathroom. The decor of the bathroom stalls is unique to each room. Most are Jack and Jill, with one that is urinal-only. I like the common wash sinks - very efficient.
Had a great meal, drinks and dessert. The chicken pasta was fantastic, highly recommend. The chicken parm was good, burrata appetizer was good, and so was the pretzel. Drinks were great, we had the upper east side and the espresso martini. Was back in town and brought some friends. Still great food and service. Highly recommend the salt River bar.
Had a really great 1st time. The drinks and food hit the spot. We had the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast burrito with green Chile pork. Add on a side of bacon to go with the espresso martini and Irish coffee ☕ and it made for a great brunch! Looking forward to visiting again. Went back a second time for birthday celebration and we added pancakes and a bloody Mary to new items tried, also recommended.
Last ate here 1 year ago and I remembered loving the food so we had to come back and bring family. We waited almost an hour for a table for 6 of us.. they were busy since it was very rainy and people were leaving the farmers market behind the restaurant. As we waited on the chairs in the back area and watched the cooks...co-owner David came out to introduce himself. Such a nice guy and wonderful gesture! We enjoyed chatting with him and asking his favorite items. You could see the pride in the restaurant. We love everything that we ordered: white pizza, elote pizza, biscuits and gravy, smothered breakfast Burrito (breakfast served til 1) and especially the jalapeno popper empanadas! The drinks were yummy as well: Espresso Martini and Gold Dust (bourbon drink) We love this cute area of Gilbert and will definitely return again to Liberty.
Excellent food & great atmosphere, especially on the patio light night in AZ! Bre was our waitress and she was very polite, helpful & came back regular to check on us! We ordered a lot from the menu and everything was great! They even waved and thanked us as we left! We’ll definitely be back a couple times a month for those Jalapeño Empanadas & Roast Beef w/dip, great ratio and the sauces are to die for. Only thing I would suggest for those who are diabetic and need the nutritional info like carb counts, that should be available at request. Otherwise still ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for us!
Ordered some amazing dinner, orange Julius beer and some coffee. I want to come back for their breakfast. Super rustic, cute atmosphere and we were seated right away. The guy at the coffee bar was super inviting when I walked in.
The atmosphere is fun and the food is good. The prices are high; but aren't they everywhere nowadays? We spent $28 dollars per person. 4 lunch entrees, 2 coffee drinks, 1 oatmeal cream pie, plus tip came out to $115.
I found this place looking at Google maps. Not being from this area I like searching the app for idea. The area around the restaurant is very trendy, with plenty of parking which is good as it also is very popular. The restaurant itself is small but each of the tables are placed to provide a modicum of privacy. The menu seemed to have a variety of dishes with a bit of personalized flair to give the dishes a unique flair. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The food was great and we all left sufficiently satisfied.
Liberty Market is one of our go-to places I love its cozy, modern farmhouse vibe, farm-to-table menu and friendly service. It works so well for a family dinner or a casual lunch with friends. The kids always look forward to the desserts and I appreciate the locally sourced ingredients and relaxed setting.
I hadn’t been here in years. It has been remodeled and it’s very nice. I loved the tile floor and the bar area is very nice. Service was great. I had the vegan bowl and it was excellent especially with the sweet potato chunks. Nearby parking was a block west but it’s a quick walk to the restaurant. A great experience overall. We will be back!
Everything was outstanding . The food was so good. We ordered the Salmon bowl. It had sweet potato and forbidden rice . Salmon was cooked to perfection The customer service was exceptional. The owners are so genuine and nice. They really care about the customers.
Liberty Market is such a gem in the heart of downtown Gilbert! The service is always warm and friendly, and every visit feels like a treat. Their sesame ginger noodle salad is hands-down the best salad ever!! I crave it weekly because it’s that good! Their burgers are huge, juicy, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, perfect for a casual lunch or a fun night out. I always leave with a smile and can’t wait to come back. Truly one of my favorite spots in town!
Food was good but took second place to the accomplished bar staff. Drinks off menu no stress. Shout out to Tate and Adam. Hope I got your names correct. Superlative service.
Haven't been here in forever, literally since you ordered at the counter. What a nice surprise, good was great, server was great, atmosphere was great. Only have one suggestion.. bring back the Sloppy Joe! That thing was great and good with the comfy vibe they have here.
We haven't been here in years and were surprised how it has changed and I mean that in a good way! The food was phenomenal! I had the Mac and cheese with bacon and chicken. It was so yummy! I would definitely recommend making reservations. We went on a Wednesday night and it was full! We'll be back for sure!
Full table service w attentive service, used to be counter order style (several years ago) meals prepared when ordered so may be a short wait for food delivery, but well worth it!! Grilled salmon 5 star restaurant level - excellent! Steak was also perfectly prepared! Salt River bars a favorite desert, as good as ever
We have been coming here for years, but I wanted to call out the great food and exceptional service we received tonight. Christina provided the perfect level of service; her timing was great in every way. Also, I must recommend the French Dip here. Very tender roast beef, plenty of au jus, crispy French fries, and the horseradish on the side had the perfect amount of ‘heat’ to make the best French Dip I’ve had in a long time!
Amazing place!! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the unique items that make the whole experience! ✨ Espresso was very good! We ordered a cortado and an iced latte! ☕️ The cinnamon roll was hard on the edges but good flavor! We really wanted the cinnamon roll because they are huge but unfortunately just okay. Sit at the bar to avoid long wait times for tables.
It was my first time back at Liberty Market as a restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised because the service was great and the food from the jalapeno empanadas to the salmon BLT with fries was really good. I would definitely return since there are plenty of places nearby but this one is worth putting on your list especially with its nice open vibe and patio.
The bread was absolutely amazing whatever they put in it, plus that buttery spread, was next-level good. The rest of the meal didn’t stand out as much, maybe because I was already full from the bread, but the service made up for it with a friendly and funny waiter who was great with my nephew. The newly renovated space has a cozy, dimly lit vibe, and I’d definitely come back maybe to try breakfast next time.
We ordered 2 of their salads. The Caesar salad, was lacking something on the first bite. Was thinking either lack of dressing or soggy lettuce so I asked for a side of dressing. The salad still lacked something. The picnic salad tasted good but they changed how they prepare it as far as the size & the cut of the pears. The carrot cake is served cold which automatically makes it seem dry. There are coconut shavings along the edge & pecans & pieces of flowers on the top. A female that was either manager or maybe related to the owner came over to our table to see what we didn't like about the cake. The excuse for serving the cake cold is because of the frosting. Everyone that decorates or serves cakes should know that you do NOT serve most battered cakes cold.
My husband took me here today for lunch, for my birthday. The food was good, as usual. We started off with getting the Jalapeño Popper Empanadas. So yummy! They were super light and fluffy. I got the JoJo's Crispy Chicken sandwich and my husband got the Wood-Fired Turkey sandwich. Both of our meals had a lot of flavor. The server warned my husband his sandwich would be spicy, however, we found mine to pack more of a punch. Mine had the Wasabi Aioli. It was good. The only thing lacking today was the service. We literally only saw our server the one time he came to take our orders. Other than that, it seemed to be either of the managers, I think, who helped us. But there were times, we were waiting longer than needed...and we weren't the only tables. I'm guessing they need more servers.
The food is always good when we eat here. The tower burger, the roast beef dip, the pizzas, short rib rigatoni, and Caesar salad are all very good. I do think the menu is limited. I would love to see a few more options. I love the decor after the remodel. I have only eaten dinner here but my son raves about the chilaquiles.
Ricky provided us with excellent service. The patio offers a great seating experience. My Expresso martini was great! My guy enjoyed a burger and fries while I ordered the Jo Jo chicken sandwich with beets as a side dish. The Jo Jo sandwich was the issue. It looked great and huge however my guess is there was 2 oz of chicken at the most. Much more breading than chicken.
Great place always loved coming here pricing is decent for the area our serving lady wasn’t bad just never refilled our drinks so that was a bummer but a fellow server made sure they were topped off and they have great desert !!!
Went for breakfast... Not the place for me. The wait was only 10-15 min but probably closer to 20. Lots of tables got up at once and they cleaned them at the same time to then seat a bunch of parties, there was also a large party that probably delayed things a little. The Chai Latte took a while to get, wasn't very good and upset my stomach after a few sips. They comp'd it though which we appreciated. Ordered the biscuits and gravy and it didn't look very appealing.. the biscuits were okay if you like muffin/cakey style drop biscuits. The gravy was off in color and flavor; something was smoked/there was liquid smoke in it? which ended up overpowering everything. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito which he said was okay. Service was okay for a breakfast/brunch Sunday, but seemed like there were a lot of people doing the same job and things could have been smoother. Maybe lunch is better
DISAPPOINTED!! I went in for dessert for 2 on a Saturday evening. When we walked in the hostess didn’t even look up at us. I walked all the way up to her and said hello before she even looked up from her tablet at me. She then mumbled and asked how many were in my party. She then don’t respond and silently led us to our table and walked away. Our server, unsure her name because she didn’t introduce herself, gave us water and asked if we wanted soda? Me and my company are young but to be asked specifically if we wanted soda felt extremely disrespectful to me. she then came back with my Shirley temple I always get from Liberty Market. There was no cherry which made me a little upset. After we ordered our dessert we were never checked on other than when the manager came over. The manager was amazing and we chatted for a moment and he was the only reason my review was as high as it is. Had to wait a long while before she even brought the check out, which she did without even asking if we’d like it. I was disappointed as i’ve had much better service in the past.
Unfortunately one of the worst chilaquiles I’ve ever had, especially for $21 ($14+$7 to add chicken? chorizo). Couldn’t eat more than this, and I only saw one egg on top that was not cooked well at all. The carafe of mimosas was mostly OJ with lots of pulp. My friend asked for a blueberry pancake with her breakfast plate, and it came with a regular but they immediately said the blueberry was coming. 10 mins later she gets a blueberry pancake but it came not fully cooked with blueberries on top. We ask for a new one and there were no blueberries on top just inside and it was still pretty mushy and took an extra 20 mins after everyone else had finished eating. They did realize their mistake and comp my friends plate, but the overall food was disappointing. Service was good though
Food was great. Wife enjoyed the American standard Coffee was great but the creamer came out in a jelly mass. Pretty disgusting. I discovered this in my second cup. Server apologized but didn’t take the glop away so I took a picture. I hope I don’t get sick. I assumed that the staff doesn’t clean out the creamers each day an just tops them up.
There's a line between sincerity and indifference. And the waiter at this restaurant doesn't know it. I'm talking about the short, long-black-haired waitress wearing a mask. She was leaning against my table, her hands on her hips, her posture crooked, as if she were talking to a friend. Her "So, what are you going to eat?" remark made me and the person next to me very uncomfortable. It was especially disturbing that she spoke with her hands on her hips, her belly 5 inches from my face. If you have any security camera footage of the waiter serving the garden on Sunday, check out the security footage. I always go to a restaurant to eat because it's about quality time and a pleasant atmosphere. I want a friendly yet respectful waiter. I came here for a pleasant time and quality service, but I was wrong. Consequently, the atmosphere is indifferent. I liked your food. But with this waiter, the quality is zero. I recommend training your waiters in customer service. The waiter's indifferent behavior has made me consider another restaurant for the special family dinner I was planning for 15 people.
The restaurant showed high expectations but ultimately we left disappointed. We waited over an hour for our meal to get to our table. While the tables around us that came after ended getting theirs within 30 minutes. The food was quite frankly terrible. The chilaquiles tasted as if they tossed some random chips and any red salsa they could find. The pancakes were decent but the seasonal fruit was just canned peaches that looked past their expiration date. The server was nice but took a long time to get to us, especially for drinks. Overall first and last time coming.
It had been a couple years since I went back to liberty market. Pre pandemic was a walk through ordering system and cafe vibe. New management changed a lot. Good and bad likely. No longer offer birthday desert despite old reviews. But this particular visit on 6/23/25 was highly disappointing when it came to service and management. I decided to come with my 5 year old for a quick lunch when our lunch plans fell through. We got fries. A wood fired bread and butter dip app. And side of golden beets. I wanted a refreshing mocktail for myself and the manager who sat us, young gentleman in 30s happened to take our order. They didn’t have a real mocktail option on the menu so I asked if can do club soda and mint and lime - like a mojito. He said yes. Unfortunately I was charged for a regular mojito - $12, keep in mind a beer is $6!! Wow. I regret asking how much it would be before I ordered but when I inquired he came to my table to build up some elaborate story about the mixir used being more expensive than the alcohol would have been. Wow. Ridiculous. In addition, this was the worst, when I asked for more honey butter for the bread app I ordered, the server was told by this same manager she can’t bring it to me without charging me for it! 1 ounce of butter! Really!? The obvious nickel and diming of their customers will surely turn people away. I won’t return and wanted to share this honest review because I felt scammed by a local restaurant in my community. Such an unpleasant experience. Shame on that manager. And new owners. Wish I knew his name.
