Who would’ve ever thought such a gem would be in Gilmer, TX. Certainly not me! This place is delicious! We all ordered different versions of their shrimp, which was absolutely delicious and the presentation is beautiful too. My mom ordered their fajitas and I’ve honestly never had fajita meat so tender. I am going to eat there every time I visit east TX now because it is certainly worth the drive!

We eat here with a group of friends from church on Wednesday night. The enchilada special is reasonable and good. The lady who always serves us is very friendly and efficient. This is a treat!

The food was absolutely delicious — everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals. The service throughout the night was also good; the staff was friendly and attentive. However, we did run into an issue with the seating arrangement. We specifically asked for a table large enough to seat our group of 11, and were told it wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived, though, our group ended up split between two buffet tables and a separate table, which made the experience less comfortable and less connected than we hoped. Overall, great food and good service, but the seating situation was disappointing. With better coordination on large-party reservations, this place would easily be a five-star experience.

Great food, great waitress, bar drinks a little slow but that's to be expected on Friday. Everything was great I think some things should have options with no extra charger for sour cream or guacamole. It was great tho, wonderful flavors

I ordered the chimichanga. The cheese sauce was so thin my friends made fun of it. It looked like a glazed donut. It tasted good so it didn't bother me much. The meal itself was good but the beans stole the show. My wife ordered the same and it came out the same way. The rest of the meals were good.

I went into my dining experience with high hopes due to all the praise I had heard from many of the locals. What I ended up with was a pretty mediocre experience. For some reason the burrito I ordered had all the main toppings including the lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes and everything but the beans and meet on the outside of my wrapped burrito. I found this to be kinda bizarre and unconventional for a typical tex mex place. The food in the end was bland and had a boring taste to it. The only positive thing about my time there was the customer service. After I finished my meal and payed. I walked out of the resturant and was a decent distance away from it when I heard someone calling out to me and running towards me. Aperently I had left some personal items at my table and forgot to get them when I left. My waiter was very kind and gracious to go the extra mile and try to give back the items I had forgotten. 5 stars when it comes to the service! Outside of that this is very much overrated and underdelivering resturant.

I called on my way home from Gladewater and was placed on hold for over 9 mins…walked in the restaurant still waiting on someone to take my order. And 3 waitresses were standing behind the bar just talking to each other. Just a little aggravated was put on hold for that long and they could’ve taken my order and it would’ve been ready when I walked in.

There was an issue with the grill, so No grilled food (fajitas, burgers, etc). The menu was VERY limited. We had waited quite a while, so we continued to wait. My chimichanga was fair at best. Almost immediately upon attempting to eat it, my stomach started churning. By the time we had left, I had a horrendous case of diarrhea! The beef tasted "left over". Just a very poor experience.

One of the worst mexican restaurants i’ve ever had. Not because they were gross or anything, but because they pretended to be high class and gourmet despite serving things like a stale tostada smothered in theater style nacho cheese, enchiladas with so much cheese and beans that it felt less like an enchilada and more like a tortilla soup, beans so oversalted that i genuinely was unable to swallow, and a complete lack of flavor on anything i was served.

This was my FIRST BAD EXPERIENCE HERE ! WE WAITED OVER AN HOUR, FOOD NEVER CAME, and we ended up having to take it to go. By the time we got to it, it was all cold and not very good. No offers from manager or staff to discount anything or make it right, either. Just as I had been telling my sister and boyfriend about how great their food is !!

Server was asking to see “where in the menu we saw that” like she didn’t know the things we ordered were even on the menu. Waited 30 minutes for our food, without the server coming over or informing us the food was on the way. It wasn’t until after i went up to the counter to change my order to-go because i was in a time crunch, that the server came over to tell us she forgot to put our order in!!!! The server offered freebies but we refused because of the time crunch. We waited another 20 minutes or so to finally get our to-go order. Every other table had gotten their food and finished it by the time we were walking out. THE FOOD WAS NASTY !!!! None me of us finished the food. i am extremely disappointed because i payed $60 for lunchtime food. Afterward we were noticeably upset, they generously gave us some, equally as gross as the food, Chips and Salsa. Do not recommend this place if your craving Mexican around Universal City

Me and my family ate at la finca tonight. We waited over an hour to finally get our food to have my husband's plate come over cooked. As he's eating he spits out his food and there's half a tooth pick that was left in his shrimp. The manager quickly took our plate and we waited another 15 min for our check. They took $6 off. After telling them to take off the plate they only took off $16 from a $22 plate. I was beyond upset because my husband or my children could have choked. The manager never came back to check on my family or try to fix the price. Please be mindful if you and your family go there. 🙏

My first and last time eating La Finca. The service was terrible. Our waitress took forever to bring water and even longer to take our order. Almost like she would take long breaks in between. It also took nearly a hour for us to get our food. My opinion on my plate, it was okay if you enjoy just okay food. The mole sauce was so sweet and chocolaty! Not very much "mole" sauce taste at all. The chicken in the enchiladas was bland, dry and tasteless. It was basically boiled shredded chicken. The rice had no flavor at all either. I ordered charro beans and they were so SPICY I couldn't eat them. The chips were okay but the salsa tasted like it was fermented and had a sour. The tortillas were cold, store bought and had that stinky store-bought smell. Nothing today was authentic to me at all. Our waitress came finally at the end to try to refill our waters! I could of used more water during my meal not as I'm walking out to leave. I would not recommend this place for someone wanting GOOD AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! This is not the best East Texas has to offer either.
