Amerika was our lead server and she did agreat job. I say lead server because the whole team at BJs made our experience great. The food was awesome and the service over all was excellent. I would and do recommend anyone to go and eat there.
Great service from Daxton C.. All of our items were delicious....I had the Asian Chopped Salad and I'm already craving it again. Hostess that sat us was quite friendly too...no issues other than I know I'm in the minority but there were an awful lot of young kids running rampant in the dining room...it looked like several little league teams running back and forth to the bathroom....who brings their kids to a craft beer establishment on a Sunday for lunch? But not holding it against the business...otherwise, no complaints related to service or food. Kudos.
We've come here multiple times and by far, every time we have Lora as a server and everything is perfect. Never have had issue with food. Music is usually pretty laid back and a there's a chill atmosphere.
Good food + awesome service = one happy customer!!! You can never go wrong with the clam chowder in the bread bowl, the sampler, and my ahi tuna salad to finish it off. Tammy was very polite and attentive. And was very patient as my six year old gave his order. I drink cups never went empty. I am ex military and in top of that I was a CS (Culinary Specialist) attention to detail and customer service is hard to find at the same time lately but not here and not with Tammy. Such a lovely and sweet young lady.
I had an outstanding dining experience at BJ's, thanks to our incredible server, Chandler. From the moment we were seated, Chandler greeted us with a warm smile and an enthusiastic attitude. She was exceptionally attentive, ensuring our drinks were always filled and that we had everything we needed. Chandler's menu knowledge was impressive, and she provided excellent recommendations that made our meal truly enjoyable. Her friendly demeanor and professional service made us feel welcome and valued as customers. Overall, Chandler went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. We will definitely be returning to BJ's, thanks to the exceptional service we received. Kudos to Chandler for her outstanding hospitality!
Gunner is one of the best servers in town. He always creates a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment. Will most defitnley be back!!
Tammy F was an amazing server and took excellent care of us!!
I had the pleasure of being served by Gloria during my recent visit, and I can confidently say she made the experience exceptional. From the moment we sat down, Gloria greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered fantastic recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Throughout our meal, Gloria checked in just the right amount, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Her attention to detail was remarkable; she anticipated our needs and even brought extra napkins and refills without us having to ask. Not only was her service top-notch, but her friendly demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere that made our dining experience truly enjoyable. It’s clear that Gloria takes pride in her work, and it really shows in how she treats her customers. I highly recommend asking for Gloria the next time you visit. She is a true asset to the team, and I look forward to returning for another fantastic meal served by her!
The hostess Shana greeted us and seated us promptly. She was so cute and sweet. Also, our server Tammy was so helpful and wonderful. We enjoyed the food but the staff is the shinning star of this place.
What an awesome night! Tatiana was one of the best servers my buddies and I have ever had. Food was great. Highly recommend this location.
Stopped in on Saturday night, had Krista has our server. She made our visit so much fun, I love her energy. Y’all definitely have a good one there. We will definitely be back and be asking for her section from now on. Food was amazing as always!
Tammy did an excellent job with our service. We had a large group and were being rather complicated. She handled everything beautifully and was on top of all of our needs, sometimes before I even had a chance to ask!! Her upbeat personality and attentiveness truly made the evening! We will definitely be back!
Our server was Tammy. She was very attentive to our needs and knew the menu perfectly. Very helpful on choosing our meals. We will definitely ask for her on our future visits. Restaurant was clean with a great atmosphere. Food was good as well.
We love eating here!! My favorite meals are the bacon jam bone in wings or the Chicken Alfredo with a side of the asparagus as my second choice. Delicious! We ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask for Tammy as our server!! Absolutely the best!! We never have any issues when she takes care of us!!
Came in for a quick bite and quick drink before heading home. Cassie was my bartender/server. She was GREAT! Had the avocado eggrolls, and a fruity martini. I just told her I enjoy the fruity drinks, and she said she was getting me a pink Cadillac . It was REALLY good! I liked that she knew just what to make for me, and was very attentive to all my needs. I definitely will be back soon to try other menu items, and some wonderful drinks!
I had such a wonderful experience at BJ’s! My server’s name was Krista and she was absolutely delightful! She was friendly, attentive and super knowledgeable of the menu. She was a FANTASTIC server!!!!! I would highly recommend requesting her the next time you go there. Thank you again Krista!!!
Our waitress Tammy was so wonderful when we went. We had a table full of alot of us and she had the patience and professionalism you would want. Especially with having kids with us. I will definitely ask for her when we go back.
My sister and I decided we need to celebrate for selling our home so we decided to try BJ’s. Some of our friends gave us great reviews, as they are regulars there. The place looked very busy, but we decided to give it a chance. We were seated fast and that’s when we met our waitress Morgan. She was so friendly with a pretty smile. We told her it was our first time coming in and that we were nervous about ordering. She took the time to go over the menu slowly while asking are likes and dislikes- Let me tell you that the food was really good! We even ordered desert to share. It was a cookie with ice cream all jazzed up. We felt like young girls sharing it. Thank you again Morgan for such excellent service. We will be back asking for you as our server.
Service was wonderful and the food was so good! We had a wonderful time with our sever Janine!
Nathan is an amazing server! On top of his service even with a packed restaurant. The food was good and the service was top notch. BJ’s is blessed to have you Nathan!
First lunch out since the Pandemic Restaurant Closures. BJ's is a favorite of my wife. She has wanted to try this one in Longview. Easy access and lots of handicap parking. The menu is still a photocopied take-out style with fewer selections. My fish and chips with a Blonde IPA was delicious. My wife had a very tender steak cooked well. She was not disappointed. Good service. Good food. Nice lunch. Not crowed. No mask required.
Good food, and the service from our bartender, Lora, was great! It's nice to sit at the bar and be treated like guests instead of just a customer. My wife and I are from out of town and we always come back to BJ's because of the way servers and bartenders treat us. You can get good food many places, but service like we get from Lora, and the other bartenders, is special. Thanks, again! We'll be back!
We went for a "Beer Dinner" which is an event you buy tickets for here. For this you are served a five course dinner and try samples of different beers while participating in a trivia contest, or you can just listen. We had a blast!! The food was excellent all of it. The service was amazing and it was fun. Worth every penny.
Tammy F did an amazing job give her a raise! Food was amazing and quick.
We always enjoy eating here. The atmosphere is great, the food is fantastic. Our favorite has to be the parmesean crusted chicken, the kids enjoy the pizza. Service is great and our drinks stayed full.
Food was amazing , atmosphere was great and our server Amber was the best!! 10/10
Tammy provided an outstanding service. Very responsive and never let our drinks run empty.
Fast & friendly service. We were sat the moment we arrived. Our orders were taken within just the right wait time. Our drinks and appetizer arrived quickly. Calamari is always good and BJ’s offers one of the best of all time. Here it was even better as the pieces were just a tad bit bigger and even more tender than I remembered them to be in other locations. Our main course also arrived quickly. The Roasted Shrimp Peruvian Quinoa Bowl was delicious. And hubby enjoyed the Brewhouse Blonde Fish & Chips (cod). Our beverages were refilled quickly by our friendly and competent server, Keegan. And when we were ready to pay, she had her tablet-sized machine and swiped our card right there (I told her I liked this convenient system to which she replied that they just got their “chip” machine yesterday). How cool! I highly recommend BJ’s in Longview.
I forgot how much I love this place, I haven’t been here in at least a year but the food is still amazing. The waiter we had was on top of his game and the food came out quick and delicious. The restaurant was extremely clean and had the classic sports bar atmosphere. The revolving door is always fun to go through as well.
I love coming to BJs! The prime rib special is one of my favorites. And Kaitlin G was the best!!
Chandler was amazing. She was so sweet and attentive! And of course as always, great atmosphere and food!
Our waitress Morgan was awesome!! Very efficient service and she is so sweet! My husband and I couldn't decide which burgers we wanted so we told her we would just switch plates if either of us didn't like what we ordered. She surprised us with half and half plates and it was so sweet and perfect for our date night!! Definitely recommend the guac bacon burger and the cookies n cream Pizookie!! 10/10 will be back!!
Kenny was our server this evening and was nothing short of amazing. He also made sure the whole restaurant sung happy birthday to my daughter. We will definitely be back when we visit and ask for Kenny as our server. Thanks for the great experience 😀
What can I say, I absolutely love this place! I never had a bad experience, it has a great atmosphere, it's clean and the staff is always nice. I like to get the chimichurri chiken a lot but this time I felt like eating salmon so I asked to replace the chicken for salmon and they had no problem doing that, it was delicious! My husband had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and he loved it. The best part is that I had $10.00 in rewards points so it made the experience even better. If you go to BJ's often do yourself a favor and join their rewards program, weekly coupons and you get point with every purchase , once you get enough point you can used them for discounts. It doesn't get any better than that.
Had a great dinner last night celebrating with family for my father-in-law's birthday. My wife and I got one of the lighter meals with the Enlightened Mediterranean Chicken Pita Tacos. Really excellent flavor and just the right amount of food for us at the time. Only negative was super-weak frozen margaritas we got that were on special at the time. So weak that they had almost no color, virtually no lime taste, and no alcohol that was noticeable. Our waitress was very good about it and got replacements (on the rocks this time) that tasted a lot better. Still not strong, but these were the cheaper bargain ones, so did not expect top shelf ingredients. We appreciated the excellent customer service and attitude from our server. We also appreciate BJ's birthday Pizookie policy, which made my 82-year-old father-in-law's day. Thank you for a good experience! We'll be back.
Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Loved the friendly atmosphere. Will visit again soon.😊
Haven't been here in a while and stopped in for a late lunch. Was greeted right away and Amerika was our server. She did an exceptional job taking care of us! Five star service for sure. The music that was playing sounded very nice - and not too loud. Thank you for keeping the volume down and playing nice music. Food was good and came out quickly. We will be back because of the wonderful service we received, the nice music and the menu with lots to choose from.
"Something for everyone" was an accurate description when our family told us to go. Rootbeer ribs were new to us and now a favorite, shrimp scampi pasta was light and fresh not too filling, steaks and a sirloin philly rounded out our group. Followed up with pizookies! LOL! Gotta get 'em.
Lora E. was my server at the bar. I initially only wanted an old fashioned but she talked me into the wings!! I also go the wedge salad!! Food was great! Service was great! I haven’t been here in over a year but I’m soooooo glad I came tonight. I’ll definitely return soon.
It was so cozy and inviting inside the restaurant. They had some absolute bangers playing over the speakers loved the music it set the perfect vibe. My server Maddison was absolutely amazing very warm kind and helpful. The food was an absolute 20 out of 10 amazingly seasoned fabulously cooked. I had the steak over never seen that perfectly rare of a steak out at any steakhouse. This place is a new fav!!!! Thanks for making my first time here a blast!!!
We had a wonderful experience here! At first we were sat by a gentleman who wasn’t so pleasant… but we were moved to Tatiana’s section and she made our evening extremely enjoyable. Her service, kindness, and hospitality really made the environment feel welcoming. 10/10 to this waitress. Anyone who dines here would be blessed to experience the atmosphere we did tonight!
We come here pretty often and have had many good waiters and waitresses, but one individual truly stood out to me and my wife—Hunter. What an amazing waiter. In a time when customer service standards seem to be lower and expectations aren’t always high, Hunter completely changed the game for us. He was extremely attentive and personable, with a great smile and a genuine warmth about him. He checked in on us just the right amount and made us feel like we were the only table he had—even though he was clearly busy with others. He impressed us so much that I felt the need to come on here and lift him up. Management, I hope you see this—get this guy training others, because he clearly knows what he’s doing. Great job, Hunter. We’re looking forward to seeing you again!:)
Our family loves coming to BJ’s and enjoying a great affordable meal! You get what you pay for and I haven’t had anything that I wouldn’t have again. Our waitress Janine was awesome and did a great job keeping us fixed up with anything we need. I will always recommend BJ’s to anyone!
We were in Longview and decided to eat at BJ's Restaurant. They were fairly busy, but we were able to get a table rather quickly. We had a great waitress who took good care of us. We ordered Avacado Egg Rolls for our appetizer. I had the Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti and she had the Cherry Chipotle Glazed Salmon. .
I absolutely love BJ's Brew house. It is most definitely in my top favorites. They have such a variety of food on their menu sometimes it takes me 15-30 min to decide what kind of food I want. They have all American food along with a bit of Mexican style food, sea food, an array of Italian food including the amazing top of the line pizzas you won't find else where, a touch of "South East Nesiean (Knee-z-ian)" cuisines, even a hint of good ol cajun. They cover your lean healthy dishes, to your 4 course meals, as well as what I call fhat and classy recipies, pit stop style finger foods, all the way down to comfort foods, and the most amazing desserts, one of my favorites to mention is their infamous Pazookies. Oh did I mention they hand craft their own soft drink beverages such as root beer, cream soda, even their own beer and traditional adult beverages. I have NEVER once had a problem with service here and I been a customer there since November of 2019. They have strategy and a fashion to how they do business and serve their people. Idk if anyone else can agree or if I have maybe just been so blessed to have always been there when it just so happens to be a great atmosphere actually it's more of a unique comfy vyb. I saved the best part last and that is how affordable they are on top of all the other perks...If you have never been you must experience what they offer. I would be really blown away if you did and for some reason were disappointed. "JUST SAYING" No I do not work there, never have, nor do I know anyone that works there. I was not approached, asked, bribed, or paid to write this review. Now days for sure it's hard to find any local business open to public that still demonstrates professionalism, shows quality in their service, and for me personally has a proven track record for 6 years to be authentic and honest but this one is where it's at! Don't take my word for it whatever your needs might be if you prefer to take the family out for a nice meal, or if you are in a rush you can always utilize carry out or for example you are limited, maybe in a bind, or have little ones in the car and need curb side service they have that too, so either way they have you covered. If you do go there as a first timer please try to remember to come leave your experience in a review I am curious.
I was very skeptical of trying this place since it’s a chain and corporate, but man I’m glad I did! This place has turned into my favorite spot or one of them at least. The only complaint I have is that the prices are pretty expensive, they definitely could lower them and not be so greedy. Other than that the food is PHENOMENAL!!!! 😍😍🤤😩😮💨🤭🥹🥰😋✨
Gunner was our server and we asked for suggestions on drinks, appetizers and food. He was very enthusiastic and descriptive on all 3 of the categories. We ordered his suggestions and all 3 were fantastic. Things we would have never tried if he hadn’t of suggested them. We eat out often and this was the best service I have had in a very long time. Food, drinks and service was 5 stars.
My colleague and I are from Wisconsin and were in Longview, Texas for work. We found BJ’s Brewhouse near our hotel and decided to give it a shot based on the good reviews—glad we did! I had the sirloin steak, which was solid, but the highlight was definitely the brownie with ice cream—seriously amazing. Big thanks to our server Tatiana for being super sweet and taking great care of us. Next time we’re in town, we’re coming back for sure!
The food was okay. It's a very nice restaurant in a popular area by the Mall of Louisiana. This was my second time eating here. Our server was great! I ordered the tri-beef salad. It came with chimichurri sauce (the sole reason I ordered it). The beef was very tender (quite fatty though) and had a sweet bbq sauce on it. I liked it. I didn't love it. I'd go back, and try something else. They plenty of things to chose from.
The young lady whom helped us did an amazing job everything that I ordered was in the bag ... however The asparagus wasn't given asparagus It was giving green dry straw for $69(2steak meals with shrimp loaded baked potatoes and green dry straw) im gone need the asparagus to asparagus ... BUT THE STEAK DID TOUCH MY HEART sooooo good.
A few new menu selections , like tritip with shrimp scampi, we were unhappy to find the s'mores pazookie no longer available. Our waitress could use a bit more training as she forgot several requests we had, to the point my husband had to get up and refill my tea after asking three times through our meal. The food was great, I enjoyed the double bone in pork chop and my husband had the prime rib. In all BJ's offers a variety of food options from burgers, pasta, pizza, choice meats along with bar drinks and award winning ales.
Food was better than expected. Service, specifically Gunner, was above and beyond. Will definitely be back again
Great restaurant! Hostess (Emily) is cute and very pleasant. Accommodation for a gluten allergy is top notch here. The salmon is my absolute favorite, always cooked to perfection! Only issue is some waitresses complaining about job and tips where customers can hear and yelling at the hostess if they don’t get a good tip. Not the hostess problem, they seat customers only. More that is sat in your area, the more possible tips. Don’t complain. Thank them.. Add on here, the waitress Chandler, so very rude! I have had her a couple times and she is a very rude person. Getting mad at the hostess for sitting people in your section. That’s crazy! That’s how you get your tips and more o eh! And being nasty and rude in front of your customers, that makes the restaurant look bad! Shame on you Chandler!!
We were there 5/23/2025 ,celebrating a graduation. approx 18 people . we were devided up with 2 servers. the female waitress was anew employee, she stated that. she left her party for about 30 min before returning. They wanted sum dessert. Anyway there was sum confusion with one of the tickets @ checkout & she didn't know what to do. long story short, train youre people before you put them out on the floor solo. Will never return, didnt here sorry. the only thing spoken was whos responsible for this ticket by the manager. Graduation dinner gone wrong!!!
We order from bj’s somewhat often but mostly when my dad comes home from New Mexico. Since he doesn’t have one where he lives. The food is always phenomenal but the people that work the curbside are very rude. Thankfully Chris the manager is very polite more than the people that answer the phone initially. All we did was get delivery and they forgot our onion rings.. the girl goes “well I know i packed them so it’s the drivers fault.” Instead of placing blame it would’ve just been okay to say “oops!” I know mistakes happen and we weren’t trying to place blame, we really just wanted our money back for them since we paid $10 for onion rings.
Our experience with this place was so/so. The food was very good, but the drinks were so weak they might as well have been virgin. They were also mostly ice and highly over priced. If your just looking for beer or wine and good food you should try this place. I recommend avoiding the cocktails. You'll just be wasting your money
The food was great and our server was on point. Being seated right next to the backdoor and having an off duty police officer hover over us while pretending to watch out the back door was kind of aggravating. If someone was bothered by my carry weapon, too bad, welcome to Texas. If the establishment isn't 2A friendly then post the appropriate statutes and be done. I don't have to eat here, and neither does anyone I know. We drove an hour and a half to eat here.
BJ'S used to be a great place to eat but has steadily been declining over the years. Prices have gone up while the food quality has gone down. Tri-tip is no longer an option, which was an excellent cut of meat, it's been replaced by the sirloin. Today we spent $145 for a family of 4 to eat and that's before the tip. The two sirloin steaks were ordered medium rare, the burger medium. All came out well done and the steaks were dry. Unfortunately the meal prices do not reflect in quality of food as did in years past. Very disappointing for a restaurant that had been so great just a few years ago.
I usually love coming to BJs for a nice night out with my family, but tonight my experience was less than mediocre. My salmon was obviously spoiled; discoloration deep into the meat, a mushy texture, and unpleasant smell. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive, especially since it was slow and was very short with us. We felt forgotten about and not taken care of. Will not be coming back.
Saturday at 1.30pm Sat in bar area table. Had to ask for silverware when our salad was delivered. Then noticed there was no salad dressing. Waiting about 3 minutes to flag down our server. Had to get up and go to server doors and finally got to ask for salad dressing. 2 minutes go by and no dressing. Flagged down a server in bar area and it was brought out immediately. Also as normal the pendent lighting only lights up (dimly) only a small area of the table. We have to get out phone flashlight out to see menu. We have complained multiple time and the manager just Scrugs and says that’s a corporate decision. And then nothing is ever done.
To begin with, the service was mediocre at best. Our server, Lora E, displayed little to no enthusiasm or personality, making the experience feel transactional rather than welcoming. She repeatedly inquired whether we were ready to order, despite it being evident that we were still perusing the menu and enjoying our appetizers. Her responses to menu-related questions were curt and uninspired, often limited to a single word. When we requested additional chips for our appetizer, she seemed indifferent, offering little acknowledgment and a palpable lack of warmth. Additionally, she placed dishes and drinks on the table without so much as a glance or a word of recognition. That being said, she did make an effort to check in on us and ensured our drinks were refilled, which was appreciated. On a more positive note, the restaurant’s ambiance was inviting and pleasantly warm, with a relaxed atmosphere that was only enhanced by the fact that it wasn’t particularly busy. As for the food, it was excellent—flavorful and well-prepared, leaving no room for complaints.
We really trust BJs to adhere to a level of standards and are disappointed when several things get dropped. Ie. Wet slimy menus and filthy smelly restrooms. We want to keep coming back!
Ordered a sirloin salad and it was disappointing. The ice berg lettuce was basically the whole head of lettuce cut in half. Because of this, the toppings were not really on the lettuce and over all just disappointing. The steak was really good though and the rest of my meal was great. Can't stressed this enough, expected more of a salad than two halves of iceberg lettuce.
Our server Janine was friendly, and tried to take care of us. The food was excellent, when it came. The bar drinks, not so much. The margaritas (one rocks, one frozen) had no salt, and not much flavor, and no tequila if any at all. I removed the orange slice and lime sliver hoping it would improve the flavor, but it tasted awful. Our first round of beverages left off a water ordered, then we waited thru the dinner for requested margarita salt and a second ale, over 30 minutes. The desserts came out one short, and that was another 20-30 minute wait again for the last dessert when the water and second ale finally arrived. After complaining about the long waits, we finally received everything, and were comp'd for the second ale that came as we were finishing dinner. The manager comp'd the drink but never came to check on us after the complaint. Our server Janine was doing the best she could, but obviously wasn't helped by the slow bar and the kitchen staggering out the entree and desserts for 3 people, and the lack of concern by management. It was a Thursday night, not a weekend. We enjoy the food and atmosphere, but we will NOT be ordering anything from the bar in the future. Honestly, we'll probably try another local restaurant next time.
Before I get started Our server was really understanding and super nice We normally order online or through DoorDash, and most of the time it’s decent but we decided to go in person I got the sirloin and shrimp scampi I went for the shrimp first as soon as she set it down and it was cold not warm, not lukewarm cold the plate was hot, but the shrimp was cold in a bowl on top of the plate The sirloin was barely medium and super dry, no juice on the plate and I Even tried pressing on the sirloin and nothing what so ever The only thing I ate was mashed potatoes and those were mid 🥲
So to start, there were 3 families in the restaurant. Greeted by a very kind male host. Immediately took us to our table, waitress came about 10 minutes later. There were about 5 waitresses walking around the building. Took our drink order and brought it quickly, so it atarted well. Got a quick appetizer, was kind of her to give us chips guac and salsa for one price. She couldnt keep our glasses filled, especially for how long we waited and she only had 2 tables. We ordered our entrees once the appetizer arrived, and proceeded to wait 45mins on 2 kids meals, a burger, and some pasta! Pasta was so OVERCOOKED that it turned to pasta puree. My wifes burger was cold and sweet potato fries were cold. Kids pizzas were hot. So we asked the waitress what had happened and apparently our adult dinners were done in the first 15mins. But the kids pizzas took 40minutes... first time going, probably wont go again.
Food was mediocre, which is to be expected with a chain like this. Was surprised my steak was burnt on the outside, yet the fat wasn’t rendered and impossible to cut. Ordered it medium rare. Wasn’t surprised about the food, but the service was awful. No one ever checked on me, had to find help anytime I needed something and wave down the bartender (he was alone servicing the entire bar and making drinks for the entire restaurant) seems like staffing issues or poor scheduling. Was a Friday night. What really made the experience bad was hearing the bartender and waiters talking shit about all their peers and customers the whole time. Complaining about their tips, and it being obvious on their faces and attitude how much they hate their jobs and customers. Maybe you would get better tips with a better attitude, and not talk so much shit where everyone can hear. It was all weird and awkward.
Spend tour money elsewhere. Ordered the tri-tip sirloin and shrimp scampi, roasted veggies and baked potato with a side of garlic butter. The potato was plain and dry with NOT even butter. I don't know anywhere that serves a baked potato plain with out specifically asking for it. Steak was well done, had asked for med-rare. Didn't refill any drinks and only saw her 3 times including the re-cooked steak that came back medium. Not impressed.
Kitchen service was very slow… bar service slow… kids pizza was gross… only to have metal in my meal. Hope I didn’t eat any! Thought I’d give this place another try after a bad experience about a year ago.. won’t be back and don’t recommend. Owner/ manager didn’t even come over to address the concern.
Im very disappointed with the service here. We used to visit regularly a few years ago but recently the service has gotten bad. We were sat and over 20 minutes passed by before anyone came to take our drink order. I would say this was a one time thing but it is not we have waited over 30 minutes before. This is the 3rd time over the past 2 years that we have walked out due to the lack of service. I don’t plan on giving it a 4th time.
Went for dinner and Gunner decides to call my husband a BOY( hey you want another drink BOY)!!!!! And then proceeds to laugh about it until my husband called him out. My family and I come here a lot but after tonight we will no longer be going back. And we will make sure that we inform everyone of our experience. I’m not sure if this what BJ’s franchise is about but this experience has definitely convinced me.
We went in, and apparently inconvenienced the hostess to ask not to sit at the bar (the place was empty), so we could get a table. She sighed, went to another table, said nothing, plopped the menus down and walked away without saying a word. I suppose that’s why they only had 10 or so people there. We sure did want it to be good, but we walked out after that treatment.
We ordered take out a few times and the first 2 it was good but not great. The last 2 times were a disaster! Drove back to get the food that was short and still didnt get it right. Way too expensive for the quality and quantity received! Neither of us finished our food.
First of all, whoever waiter was was really awesome. Second of all the management is not very good at all. I ordered shrimp gumbo or Something like that, it had sauerkraut in it which I’m not a fan of, so I asked for something else. Instead of having a manager come out and talk to me or ask me if everything was OK I never seen them. Sure I understand it’s a Restaurant is still they could’ve took at the time to at least greet me and let me know or ask me if I wanted anything else the waiter even took my order and I never received it. My husband had already finished his dinner and about that time I just said to go ahead and cancel it. I’m not wanting to complain, but reality is it’s not fair that my husband gets to complete his meal while I was sitting there waiting on the same thing that he ordered, which was the sampler platter.
Every steak ordered was not cooked to order..burned all ordered medium rare. jambalaya with shrimp, no shrimp. Food was cold before we could get sour cream and A1 sauce. This was our first visit. We took my husband's staff for Christmas celebration. It took 1 person at least 20 minutes for a mixed drink. The manager came over and really acted like she couldn't care less. Our waitress was hustling but since we complained about the food, she got cut for the night. That's bull. Very poor management. Will definitely go elsewhere
One star food at a five Star price. The atmosphere is good but the entrees leave something to be desired. BJ's is serving grocery store level frozen foods heated in a microwave at Boucherie on Union Square prices. Mid-tier service but the bathrooms are absolutely atrocious. 10 out of 10 would not recommend. This place needs to lower the food prices to match their food quality.
Went to eat at BJs for myself and my mother’s birthday and let me just say, ya’ll gotta do better. Waited for several minutes at the front, noticed by three staff members and a manager before the manager came over and was just…..extremely inhospitable. Got to the table and got everything ordered, but the server had a handheld device and did not look us in our eyes while we ordered, did not retain anything we said and had to repeat herself a few times, and took forever to order. Please- freakin just WRITE IT DOWN, go to the back and put it in the POS. More efficient and personable. Got told three times that I would get a refill of tea, she never got it and when she finally did she had waited until the end of our meal and just brought it in a to go cup. Asked about a pizookie since we were celebrating birthdays and we have definitely gotten free ones for birthdays before, and when we got the ticket after waiting for f o r e v e r we got charged for it after getting told that the reason she took so long was because she was getting “her” (i assume the manager in question) to take it off the ticket. Then there was a party’s table blocking the whole walk way for us to get out and finally leave. Just overall an inefficient, idiotic and uncoordinated experience. Will probably never go back, and I hate that because the menu is so diverse but just not executed well at all. Need new managers, higher standards and more urgency in staff. If the server cannot handle a large party AND two two tops and a five top by herself, for the love of God do them and your guests a favor and seat them less. As a restaurant AGM, i’ve seen better and worse, and this was just dissapointing, especially watching the manager be an ornament decorating the wall talking to staff rather than guests. I predict BJs will be the next restaurant chain to go bankrupt.
