Food and service are very good. Italian steak, tenderloins, tacos (the best in town), onion rings, mushrooms. The list goes on and on. Super nice people, always friendly with a smile and a thank you. Highly recommended!

Edit: They've improved drastically and the food and service has been great and super fresh!!! Originally when I first started coming here the food seemed great it was fresh and nice but the service seemed to always be lacking, attitudes, annoyance if they made a mistake, etc Over time the food began to lack as well, items being over cooked, items being undercooked, incorrect items being given even when told clearly what was ordered. Today was my last straw, I've been asking for fresh, made to order to which they have been agreeing to, every time I have they have over seasoned my food, given me microwaved pre cooked chicken(to give the illusion its fresh)(they claim no microwaves are used but just about every restaurant has them, if it wasnt microwaved they just in general over cooked it, it was burnt, gravy that is super clumpy and not mixed properly, and all out not edible food If you try and explain your issue with the order the lady who claims to be the manager, she will argue with you and tell you you're wrong and interrupt you while you try and explain whats wrong, she gave me attitude when I told her my chicken was over cooked and not edible saying "What you don't want it cooked?" while scoffing and laughing at me. Basically asking me if I want it raw, they've surved raw burgers so I wouldn't put it past them to just give you raw chicken. The cook was wearing dirty excessively stained grey sweat pants, dirty greasy hands no gloves and was standing at the counter while the management was processing my refund that she refused dozens of times to give me blaming me for her stores issues, take accountability for your mistakes. I would like to add I've worked in high end professional restaurants, and all around fast food jobs and have never seen such a place so unprofessional and careless. I would give this place a zero star rating if I could the pure lack of care for customers safety,food safety, and all around just the lack of care of everything, this place doesn't deserve business

Can’t believe I never wrote a review! I’ve been a regular here since the new owner bought the place, and this is the best fast food in town. My wife and I LOVE to get their fried chicken. Everything you get here is made-to-order, hot and fresh. It doesn’t get better than Texas Tom’s! They have the best staff as well, always kind, friendly and attentive. 5 stars!

My husband and I had a great experience at Texas Tom’s. I ordered the Buckaroo Basket, the Mild 6 Piece Wing Basket with fries, a Diet Coke, and an Orange Fanta — and everything was fantastic. The food came out super hot and fresh. The cheeseburger from the Buckaroo Basket was absolutely delicious — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed having a variety of options in one basket meal! Every food item was on a rotation as we were eating haha. The wings were incredible too — extra juicy on the inside with a perfect crispy outside. The fries were spot on — golden, crispy, and not greasy at all. Both the Diet Coke and Orange Fanta were ice-cold and refreshing. Overall, it was a great meal and we will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely the best restraunt experience! I had the fish basket. 2 large fish planks, shrimp, onion rings and fries for $10.99! Great price! I went back and had the chicken strip basket....alot of food for the money!

You have to make a stop in North Kansas City to this original Texas Tom’s restaurant. Ordered the specials, Two Italian steak sandwiches, Onion Rings, fried cauliflower and a large Diet Coke and all was under $30 bucks! Best Italian steak in the world and their sauce they use is fantastic. When up this way - make a stop and treat yourself. Also had a wide variety on their menu which included sea food dishes and burgers, kids menu!!!

Get here folks! We visited last night and got a couple of double cheeseburger baskets with fries/drinks, with side order of Onion Rings. Great staff, big burgers, big fries, big rings - we couldn't eat it all. Great food and great value with an old school feel like one of the old timey joints along 40 Highway. Locally owned. Support local so these joints don't go away!!

The burgers are well-prepared, and the fried chicken is a popular choice, both satisfying in taste and portion size. While it may not compete with gourmet options, Texas Tom’s delivers reliable quality that exceeds expectations for fast food. Overall, it's a convenient stop for a quick bite and I know I will be back. Should mention the milkshakes are terrific

Food is amazing! I went through the drive through, seems like everything was made to order, super fresh, hot out the grease, and not a long wait! Literally the best fried fish I've had in KC, very well seasoned! I also ordered a side of corn nuggets and mozzarella sticks, which were both also really good.

My first time visiting and it was all that I expected. Tried a single taco, wings and fries, fish, strawberry ice cream and a chilli willie. I was very happy with the service and taste of food. The chilli willie was not that good so I won't try that again, but the food was outstanding. I don't remember the young ladies name, but she had outstanding customer service. Very happy with her service.

Not really all what I expected but good customer care. Wings were a bit too battery, double burger wasn’t flavorful to the palate but was fresh, Slushie blue berry wasn’t as expected, kinda gave sink water after taste.

The food wasn’t good. I had high hopes and it didn’t live up to the reviews. I ordered an Italian beef, chicken giro, corn nuggets, and a taco. The taco meat wasn’t good. The corn nuggets were good. The chicken giro was ok. I didn’t get my Italian beef and it was accidentally swapped with what I think is a pork tenderloin sandwich. The tenderloin sandwich isn’t good and I wouldn’t order it. I think I’ll come back here and give some other menu items a try.

Response- I know that you charge for the cup of cheese, but I repeated my order twice and they still didn’t charge me for it so they should have just given it to me. And if you charge extra for the curly fries then why would you take away the onion ring? I used to a regular at The parvin location. You guys are rude and wouldn’t get my business again. Those chicken We’re not cooked to order or they were made an extremely old grease, either one given the color and crunchiness. “If you no like the service, go somewhere else!” WILL DO SIR. For the chicken basket. They re-fried (double dipped) my chicken tenders to reheat them- you can tell because it was burnt and hard, I had to repeat my order twice at the speaker and they did not give me my cheese sauce or my honey mustard. When I went to go get the cheese sauce, they were trying to charge me for it when it was their mistake. My curly fries were soggy because they were sitting in the box for who knows how long to wait for my aunt‘s fresh chicken wings. They did not give me my onion rings.. they refused to remake or replace the order. Customer Service was terrible. LITERALLY THE WORST. Picture of the trash i threw away. My son and I each ate one chicken strip and a few fries because it was that bad. To go box was warped because the hot, fresh food was put on top of my old soggy food.

We had been traveling all morning and intended to stop at Perkins but they were closed. This was next door and had great ratings so we stopped. There was a great menu, it looked clean and I went back to the (women’s) bathroom. One stall was inoperable, and the other had someone in it. I waited some time and they didn’t finish their business. I went back out to the dining room to order. Came back to the restroom - still there. Sat down at our table and waited for our food. Next thing I see is a young man walking out of the women’s bathroom that I was waiting for. When we went to get our food - there he was sitting on the freezer in the kitchen. Bad business when an employee hogs the wrong gender bathrooms only stall to take a break. It’s also bad business when the employee leaves that same stall a filthy mess. Dead bugs on the floor and a completely “wet” floor. Our email was delicious, but I can’t get past the experience.
