The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. It was very busy due to people arriving for an event but Emma was always available for food and drinks.
My fiancée and I came here after a day out for my birthday for some tea, snacks and desserts. We were looked after by a young lady called Jennifer who was absolutely marvellous. I lead Client Service strategy for a living and I can say that the provision of service from Jennifer was the gold standard, it is genuinely an illustration of the personification of client service excellence - attentive and responsive and her care led to my fiancée and I having an incredible time. We cannot speak highly enough of Jennifer and her service - it is another example of great service here. 10/10 and we will be back.
I'd never eaten here before. We were seated in a delightful, enclosed area at the back away from the bar. Its a fairly limited menu, but the slow cooked beef was simply the best plate of food I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Absolutely delicious. Wonderful service, too.
Dropped in for a few cocktails before dinner. Danny makes a mean daquiri.
We had a fantastic earlier dinner and it was made extra special with the attentive and professionalism by our waitress, Dawn. The food was excellent and Dawn provided the icing on the cake.
A very relaxing, warm restaurant. The staff were all very lovely, friendly and professional. The service was fantastic, everything came exactly when you wanted it. The food was also served in good sized portions and was delicious! There is also a good bar with a wide selection of drinks. Didn't feel rushed at all and felt very welcomed.
Was taken care of and served by Lydon during my visit and the drinks were amazing that were made by Karis.
Afternoon Tea at Grahamston Kitchen, Radisson Blu. Excellent food, the sausage roll is superb! Because I'm allergic to almonds the chef made us Lemon Tart, really nice touch. Prosecco was nice too and excellent service. We'll be back.
Afternoon tea was excellent! Real cosy warm atmosphere, seated in the snug beside the fireplace stuffing your face with delicious snacks and cakes, wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else 😀. Danny our server was friendly and fun, if he’s an accurate example of your staff then they’re doing well. See you again Grahamston
Went here today 12/07/25. The lovely Karen greeted us at the door. Our server today was Samuel. What a lovely young man. Nothing was too much bother for him. He was friendly and helpful. We had come in on a scorching hot day for afternoon tea. There was plenty of savoury bites to choose from. From sandwiches to haggis in a pastry, quiches too. Loads of sweet cakes, mini strawberry tarts, profiteroles, tablet, macaroon, scones. So much deliciousness. All refreshed frequently. Copious amounts of tea always at hand and ice cold water on hand too. Well done to the whole team involved. Can't wait to do it all again. Thanks again Samuel for your attentiveness
Popped in with my wife, Dianne, and my brother and sister and their partners. What a brilliant choice. Nice booth, great choices and friendly staff. Paris was a great help all night. A credit to your team. Bravo 👏.
Me and my friend booked the festive meal for two for our annual Christmas meal and were blown away by our experience. Our waitress Dawnski was so accommodating and gave us amazing service. The food was sooo delicious, can’t fault anything. We really enjoyed our time at the Grahamston and will 100% be back (thanks to Dawnski) Thank you so much x
Good services and quality foods..
Absolutely amazing food and amazing cocktails! The staff were great and definitely the best dining experience me and my girlfriend have had to date!!!
Brilliant afternoon tea, nice staff, the buffet style is a real winner because my wife and I are not big on sweet stuff so this was a really welcome change
Nice food. It is a restaurant in cooperation with the Radisson hotel. Not sure if it is open to the public. Delicious but not expensive. They also have seasonal menu.
Lovely setting for pre dinner drinks. A fresh raspberry in prosecco nice touch.
Lovely place, so we stopped in for a quiet cuppa, excellent service.
Loved the afternoon tea here, the buffet format screams out! Would come back again.
The service was great and the food delicious. Plenty of space in a modern environment
Lovely surroundings, lovely coffee, staff were attentive and helpful
Lovely staff. Great food and ambience
Good service and happy staff 😀 Inside the radisson and very spacious. Worth a visit.
Great night in the Radisson bar - Dawn was especially kind and helpful!
Great food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service .
Brilliant! Staff excellent! Ambience excellent! A must visit place!
Can’t stretch enough how spacious is the place and how comfy the seats are. Only came here for get some works done and the overall experience is great. Helpful staffs and a good range of drinks options. As a frequent visitors really enjoy the vibe and everything here. Never tried the food here thou not sure how good it is. Would give a five stars if the coffee is fresh made instead of a coffee machine. They thus couldn’t provide latte with non diary milks btw.
Had a pre Christmas afternoon tea. Food was enjoyable but unlike previous visits the service was disappointing. Guy on the bar seemed to be on his own much of the time and was very attentive but he couldn't do everything. Pleasant surroundings with plenty of space between tables.
Nice bar with good restaurant
I went for afternoon tea via itison voucher, not much of a selection of food, but enjoyed it
I use a lot for work and Martin behind the bar very pleasant and helpful as well as the rest of the team
Nice ambience in the restaurant. Starters and desserts where nice. Can't say the same for the mains as the vegetables were rock hard. Only other thing is the waiting staff interrupt every 5 minutes to make sure everything is OK, and when you tell them it isn't they don't do anything. Would I go back, yes but just for drinks.
Giving this a 3 when i booked this it asks any dietery requirements i said yes vegeterian and also doesnt't eat fish or eggs there was 1 sandwich my sister could have savoury cheese. Why ask and not supply anything i wasn't the only person if you eat normally it was lovely other than tht no accomodation for vegetarians or vegans very disappointing
First time I've ever done an unlimited afternoon tea, so not used to this idea It's a lovely location, good atmosphere, quite hectic and that leads so some staff mix ups, had to pester for tea, then for milk, but on the whole it was nice Two main comments: - Not enough veggie choices on the savoury side, could do with more options - Absolutely NOTHING was marked despite the server telling me it was, and labels were often mixed up. Sorry guys, but it's 2023 .... If you can't mark with a simple (v) then this alone would probably stop me returning ... its really not that difficult 😒
Service was a little slow even though there were only a few patrons. Ordered a croque monsieur which was ok, if a little on the dry side, much like my wife's club sandwich. Staff pleasant.
After a long day, I stopped by Grahamston Kitchen hoping for a bit of quiet relaxation. The space itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for unwinding. I went up to the bar to place my order, opting for a mango mousse that sounded quite promising on the menu. While service was a little on the slower side, I didn’t mind too much as the vibe of the place was calm and inviting. It was just a light dessert this time, but it made for a sweet end to the evening.
Nice hotel bar / restaurant despite being extremely over priced especially the wine 🍷
The grahamston was a disaster! We have had it booked for a couple weeks as a treat and it didn't go well! After reading glowing reviews in the herald about the menu as soon as we got there and were given the bar menu we were deflated, we were really looking foreward to a fancy meal! deciding to stay after a long day in town and it being sat night in glasgow finding somewhere else to eat would have been tough, staying was the wrong idea! The really nice menu wasn't available for the night for whatever rwason only the bar menu! We were told the kitchen printer broke and our order didn't go through but the bar never made our drinks order also so I think the busy server forgot to ring in our order completely! I'm a sous chef I have worked hospitality my whole life i know how it goes! It took just over 1 hour and a quarter to get the food, the haggis bon bons were decent, and we had to ask for the drinks again so they took just under an hour and a half to get us 2 colas! we ate the mains and left. went to morrisons on the way home for snacks because we were still hungry! didn't want to stay after the main course! We got a discount and the colas for free but it was a disaster! all the tables around us seemed to have a great time! Won't be back again!! Was meant to be a great end to a nice day out
Extremely disappointed in The Grahamston. Firstly, totally taken aback to discover it's inside a Radisson (our general rule of thumb is to avoid hotel restaurants unless it's a dining emergency, as in nothing else is available, or a part of small, boutique hotel with a unique pub). We had to wander the hotel lobby for the entrance as there was no marking for the restaurant and no hostess station to say "Hello, welcome to The Grahamston." We had to stand by the bar, hope we were in the right place, and wait for acknowledgement. The atmosphere was far from what you see online. They present themselves as a swank joint in their imagery, and we dressed accordingly, but as a hotel restaurant, their diners were about as formal as folks in a backwoods sports bar. There was even some random dude slumped over a table either talking on his phone or watching YouTube videos (with the volume annoyingly loud), who was not eating or drinking - just hanging around. Secondly, the food left a lot to be desired. I mean a whole lot. They're trying way too hard to impress with the visuals and not concentrating on making tasty food. They have a "sourdough" bread app option that in no way, shape, or form could be considered a sourdough. It was a big roll of plain flour and water baked bread. My bone-in pork chop was a half-inch (if even) slice of pork that by weight was more gristle and fat than edible meat. Being thin, meant overcooked too. Had to ask for a steak knife just to saw through it. Lacked any kind of seasoning at all. I ordered a side of fries that was not delivered until after I asked about it and after I was almost finished with my meal. My wife ordered the sea bass which consisted of two tiny pieces of fish flesh that maybe if put together was the size of an iPhone 3 and less thick. She said the flavor was okay, but dry, and not nearly enough protein to make it worth the effort. She's a small portion eater to begin with and I usually finish off her plate, but this time the portions were so minimal that she pretty much ate all my fries and polished off the bread just to satisfy her hunger. Finally, The Grahamston's only redeeming quality was our server, Dawn. This Hungarian immigrant was one of the sweetest, nicest people we have dined with on our recent travels. None of the negatives of this restaurant were on her and she went above and beyond in every way. From her sweet smile to her genuine appreciation for us, she was wonderful and a pure joy. I truly wish I had done my due diligence on looking deeper at The Grahamston's online reviews. Perhaps we could have avoided having our last night in Scotland end on such a disappointing sour note.
I have been for afternoon tea before but our visit yesterday was a big disappointment. We booked our table for 6 at 2.15 - I would not recommend going late like this again as the food was not replenished at all during our stay. The only item that was topped up was the cream for scones. This meant that the sandwiches were stale, the sausage rolls cold and the quiche rubbery. I literally ate 1 of each (well half a sandwich as it was stale). We enjoyed the fizz included in our offer but waited 20 minutes for this drink. The tea and coffee is now serve yourself. I came during the opening month last year and it was table service and plentiful. We waited half an hour for a second drink/ bottle of prosseco. The bar at the Grahamson must have been very busy. The servers in the afternoon tea area were not able to serve - just clear plates so they were just milling about while we clock watched and wondered where our drinks were. I did not feel the afternoon tea was good value at all. They had run out of tablet, macarons, victoria sponge. Staff told us at 3.30 they would be packing up food- so we had to rush to choose something (from the short supply of cakes left - carrot cake was nice though). At 3.45 we were asked to settled our bill as they were closing down the section (there were about 6 tables still left at this point). So we were asked to go sit in the bar as we hadn’t finished our drinks (probably because we waited so long for them). The bar was stylish and great atmosphere. We were each given 1 free drink. Which was a nice gesture. The bar was lovely - we would go back to it - just not for afternoon tea as it was a let down.
Nice breakfast in the restaurant however drinks service in the bar area is painfully slow. We had to chase for a menu, to order and to pay and I received the incorrect drink but was still charged a whopping £6.75 for a pint!
Beautiful stylish bar and part of an excellent Glasgow hotel but the service is slow and staff not very friendly. Also really poor selection of bottle beers.
With a French mindset, this restaurant is SUPOSED to gastronomic and refined to say the least. Very disappointed with the service, service with 2 knives, limestone stains on the wine glasses, staff who can't bearly open wine bottles. During my meal, I has time to observe the staff in place. They do not have the same professionalism that I observed in another restaurant in Glasgow. No comments but def. Need some training or clients are just unaware. As for the meal, the dish was nothing special and could be served as well in a pub. I love desserts but I had to stop eating because the pie was sticking to my teeth and to the spoon. For my espresso, I asked for sugar. At the bar, the mixologist did a remark so loud that, no sugar should be added in an expresso. So what?! It’s at the client discretion, to have my expresso how I want it and that is not HIS problem. In short, professionalism is lacking in this restaurant.
First time eating chicken katsu, immediately felt nauseous that entire evening. Came back next day for desert only, hoping it'd be better. Afterall .... what could go wrong with apple crumble pie with salted caramel, you think? The answer: everything. You'd think they know how to make a crumble: wrong. You get one tiny ball of ice and two raspberries put there for some reason. The pie is a hard crust filled-and I mean FILLED-to the brim with powder. There is so little apple, might as well call it powderpie. You take one bite and your mouth instantly dries up. It's like the cinnamon challenge, so much powder I wonder if I might inhale some. You get 3 stripes of salted caramel, that’s it. I have had a gazillion desserts in my lifetime. This was at the bottom. The worst of the worst of disappointments. I've included pictures of what was left after I scraped off all the powder and ate the small slices of apple.
Had what was definitely the worst hot chocolate I've ever had in any bar/cafe. Prepared and served by a surly bartender who clearly wasn't living his best life. Won't be back.
Shit…….the reviews are true, sat for 10 mins with coworkers, no-one came to the table.
