Been coming here for the last 3 years on and off. Service is good, food is very good, the 2nd floor patio is great on a nice day and the menu is massive.
Wasabi our cook was amazing!!! It was by far the best hibachi expertise we've ever had. Witty, smart, good cook! Definitely going there again!
the best chinese food in glen cove and surrounding areas... must try beef with broccoli with crispy broccoli.... and the juicy dumplings... to d!e for
Excellent Experience - entertaining chef, delicious food, fairly priced. Had a great evening with friends and neighbors. Chicken Yaki Soba was good. The steak dishes were strong. Good cuts of meat.
Disclaimer: I haven't been here in several years, and it was back when they had a location in Patchogue. They made some mean spicy foods though, flavorful as well, and it was some of the freshest Japanese/Chinese-style food I've ever had. If I'm ever in the neighborhood of Glen Cove though, I won't resist digging in again.
The hibachi show is phenomenal. My kids loved it here. Awesome idea for a birthday celebration and what's better than getting free saki sprayed into your mouth, water for the kids.
Attended a bridal shower at this restaurant. The food was good. The service seemed good as well.
Everything we ate was incredible. We had 2 small kids with us and they were very accommodating. The happy hour menu was so cheap, a new favorite for sure.
Great place!! Food is always delicious and sushi very fresh!!! Drinks are absolutely delicious!!! Great service and very friendly staff Great atmosphere We eat there or order in at least once a week Highly recommended!!!! Lots of parking
Nice two-story restaurant. Pretty good sushi, solid mixed cocktails, hibachi chefs are great, and works well for takeout as well. Chinese food I’ve had from there is good, but likely what most are not there for. Lunch specials are pretty solid. I personally think they have great white tuna & yellowtail. If you’re on the fence, give this place a shot.
John was a great Hibachi chef. He was a fun, interactive, funny and a skilled chef. Overall we had a great hibachi dinner. Thanks, John!
This place is great. It is both Chinese food and Japanese food in one restaurant. The Chinese food was amazing, I also had their sushi, which I thought was on point. The next time I come here, I want to do their hibachi and see how it is. This is a great place to go to have a nice family outing or even as a date option.
Celebrated New Year's eve last night 12/31/19, sat at a hibachi table. Four of us and 2 other couples shared the table. U get to know other people, the cook is entertaining, fast n good sense of humor. Additional regular seating also on the main floor, upstairs open for dining as well or just to enjoy their sports bar. $$/$$$, excellent food n service, sushi bar, and guaranteed to take home the rest.
Best Hibachi restaurant on the north shore! Food is great and most importantly staff is amazing! The chef for hibachi has the best personality and will make the night fun and filled with laughter!
Fresh dishes and great staff! There's a small rooftop dining area too. Fast delivery. I've overheard people laughing out loud at the hibachi tables so the chefs must be fun :D
This is one of my favorite places to eat out in Glen Cove. I always have their watermelon martini which is always just right. Every meal I have had there was delicious. I think the restaurant is set up nice. They also have a nice terrace upstairs and service is always great.
Some of the best Asian food on LI! Sushi is fresh, chinese dishes are tasty and Japanese Hibachi is fire!! Prices are a little steep on sushi...special roles around $25?! Worthwhile date spot!!
Tried the steak and scallops hibachi. Came with a choice of soup or salad (salad was pretty standard). They gave 2 pieces of shrimp appetizer. I chose the noodles (instead of fried rice) with the steak, scallops and grilled vegetables. Overall, it was a fun experience. My only suggestion would be to give people more time to eat- the whole thing was way too rushed. The service was good, but it would be better if it wasn't so rushed.
Food is consistently good. I've gone here for years with family and friends, ordered delivery once and there was no issue. Lots of seating inside on two floors and a few hibachi tables. The menu is big and you'll be sure to find something for everyone.
Was very safety distance private family time party and they served food nicely The food was good awesome delicious clean place nice people were all ⭐ professional price is well worth the warmth given by hard working team of people My twins grand baby 💘 👏 😀 👍 Mandarin they go there alot with mom
I went to dinner with my family and kids, overall, the food experience was delicious. Also, we try table Habachi, and the chef was excellent work and the kid love it. I would definitely come back again and again.
Excellent food, excellent service, very attentive and polite. Very nice inside; it is a big place and they have hibachi! Soup for Two was delicious as were the cold noodles. In my opinion, the best Sushi in Glen Cove.
Beautiful interior design, both upstairs and downstairs. Good food, we decided to be at the table rather then hibachi. Probably, next time we'll have a pleasure to experience the hibachi as well.
We hadn’t been here in many years and I’m not sure why. Probably ranks top 3 in the north shore for us. Really good food. I added pictures of orange chicken, chicken with honey walnuts, and Malaysian shrimp and tofu in a curry sauce. Everything was amazingly fresh and delicious. A little less impressed by the appetizers. We ordered the scallion pancakes which was a little too greasy, and the boneless spare ribs which were overdone on the dry side. But the main meals were amazing.
So many yummy options I'm going to have to keep coming back to try them all! 🍴😋🍣🍛🥗 bring cash and get 10%off your bill!
Wholly underrated and under-appreciated restaurant. I love going on a weekday night and having the place to myself. The two seating areas upstairs are have a funky decor and you can sit outside in the balcony if you like. I have some of the best special rolls here of all of the Long Island sushi joints that i go to but Last time i got the love boat and came away very full and extremely happy with the freshness. We go with mixed groups and i have tasted the traditional Chinese food meals and they’re very good if not excellent. My friends and family all like when i suggest this olace. Servers are always happy, clean and courteous and usually wearing masks which is fine by me.
Just celebrated my son’s graduation from Webb Institute there this past Saturday. Food was excellent. Extensive menu to choose from. Staff was efficient and friendly. Our group was appropriately socially distanced from other parties in the restaurant. To top it off - I accidentally left my credit card at the place and didn’t notice until I was at the airport. Management confirmed I had left my card and sent it to me. Overall - could not have been more pleased with them and their response. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Walked in at 7 pm on a Saturday, no wait. we were sitting on the outdoor deck. I had the lamb chop special, it was excellent. Service was good and we enjoyed our evening.
Authentic place very good very amazing food well done the chefs are amazing everyone is happy
I’ve been here three or four times and I’ve never had a meal. The staff is always polite and attentive. The food comes out pretty quick and is delicious. Their appetizers are to die for; I’ve had a meal of several different appetizers.
Box lunch with soup, rice, salad and 2 dumplings for $14 was a great deal and tasty. Would recommend
Best Chinese food on Long island. Kent is always our way to when we get there and he's just fantastic
Sweet mandarin in Glen Cove is a great restaurant. Local gem for hibachi and sushi.
The food is soooooo good. The sushi is fresh and the service is great. They just need to keep up with cleaning and taking care of regular wear and tear of their walls, floor and booths. It's starting to look a little old.
Really enjoyed the sushi here. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and the quality was better than expected. Nice variety on the menu too. Definitely want to try other stuff next time.
I had a great experience at Sweet Mandarin, especially the hibachi. The whole setup was fun and lively, and the chef did an amazing job. The food tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and everything was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I’d definitely come back again!
Recently came in here and the service was quick and the food was delicious! The beef chow fun was my favorite!
This spot has a lot of variety. Their menu is huge and has so many different types of dishes with different proteins. We came on a Wednesday so got seated right away. The service was pretty fast and the staff was friendly. This spot also has hibachi so would be good for events with friends or family. I tried the splendid roll, beef chow fun, rock shrimp and the orange chicken. I enjoyed the splendid roll’s balance and the beef chow fun’s texture!
Went to Sweet Mandarin in Glen Cove and had such a good experience!! We did the lunch hibachi. The whole vibe felt really cozy and comfortable. Everything tasted fresh and the steak was honestly SO good, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. It was one of those meals you actually enjoy from start to finish. I can wait to go back again!!
The food and drink were good, and the waiter also told me that they were offering a free lobster with purchases over $100. I stopped by alone for a quick lunch, so I missed the deal, but I’ll definitely bring my family back for a holiday dinner, and hopefully the offer is still available then.
A favorite spot. Great food. Great service. It's been a go-to spot for years to dine in, and I'm so glad their amazing happy hour is back, but they have a great room upstairs for larger groups. Tiffani is always so helpful and does a great job helping with the menu and organizing. I've had a few parties up here now, and the food and service are always great, but they outdid themselves with our recent party. The two platters were so beautifully presented with a great assortment and were huge and so fresh. I've never had a bad meal here and consider them for larger events. We had 50 people quite comfortably.
Amazing and Delicious food, stopped by on a late cold weather afternoon. The ambiance perfect, food was freshly prepared, not to saucy nor lack of sauce but the right amount. We shared Sesame Chicken lunch special and General Tsao Chicken. The salad dressing was refreshing. Only wish you could swap California roll for spicy tuna. But no complaints. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Excellent restaurant on the North Shore. The service and food was excellent. On my visit, I ordered the Hibachi Yakisoba which came with salad, shrimp appetizer and choice of rice. The salad came with the citrus dressing and was a good start. The noodles for the Yakisoba were excellent. I truly enjoyed the food and location was ideal. Very peaceful atmosphere.
This was a spontaneous visit during Father's day weekend. It was really fun, first time experience for both me and my husband. I got the hibachi chicken and he got the steak. During the "show" the chef had us laughing and smiling the whole time. It was less expensive than I thought it would be for us to have a whole table. (you pay by plate, ours was able $20 per plate)
Great food. Strange atmosphere. The fire alarm went off and no one came to tell us we weren't going to die! The hibachi station sets the alarm off!
New place in Glenn Cove. Affordable prices and great Asian Fusion. Valet parking. Can be a wait if you don't have reservations, but once you are seated the service and food is worth the wait. Prices ranges from $7 for appetizers to $15-$30 for main entrees. The portions are big enough to share, but enough to fill your stomach if you haven't eaten all day. Sushi rolls and sashimi looks fresh and it definitely tasted fresh too. Bok Choy with Chicken was seasoned well, not too oily or greasy. Would get the General Tso's chicken, Dragon and Lady Gaga roll. The wine selection is super affordable. Would just get the bottle since it's $30 average to share for the table. They have other cocktails and Sake if Reds and white isn't your liking. For dessert finish yourself off with some fried flaming ice cream. How can the ice cream stay cold when they flame the outer layer, I have no idea but it tasted great.
The atmosphere was fun and entertaining. I went for my brothers birthday. We had hibachi, with some sushi as an appetizer. The chef made it a fun experience and the waiters were attentive. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the food could have had more flavor.
I had orange chicken. It was pretty good. Not the best. The service was kind of inattentive which surprised me as there were very few diners present. Atmosphere was ok but we were seated next to the sushi bar and busboy station. Will probably get take out if I eat there again.
Mondays can be difficult days to find open restaurants. Thankfully, Sweet Mandarin was open and operating. Since it was early, we were able to be seated promptly. Drinks, appetizers and main course did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, and my only comment being, "OMG, This is too much food." Everything was great. Enjoy.
This review is for delivery only. We ordered General Tso's Chicken, egg rolls, and a whole cracked lobster with lobster sauce. Everything was hot and delicious. The chicken was flavorful and tender; the egg roll pastry light and tasty, if a bit oily. Portion size on the chicken was smaller than local competitors; pricing quite a bit higher. The order came quickly and was delivered by a polite and well dressed young man. We are looking forward to trying out the restaurant.
Great Food & Service We went for dinner around 7PM on a Monday. The restaurant was not crowded and we were promptly seated (no reservation). Cocktails and Sapporo beer was fine. We had scallion pancakes and pork steamed dumplings as appetizers They were delicious! Dinner was General Tso's Delight (chicken plus shrimp) and chicken with broccoli. We asked for the General Tso's to be a bit spicy (beware they add a few more HOT peppers when you do this). Both dishes were very tasty with enough left over to bring some home. The only reason I took a star off is because it was quite noisy from some folks having a good (loud) time around the Hibachi tables. We will be back again!
Great service, nice and clean seating, overall nice place to dine. We ordered their sushi and pineapple chicken from the special menu. Sushi rates high, pineapple chicken was just okay.. from what I observed around, people really enjoyed their hibachi chefs! Parking can be a bit tricky - we visited for dinner and parked in the “back” (I believe that’s the lot for the garage there).. the restaurant said it’s okay to park there. There’s also a “front” parking, so if you’re heading towards it from the rear, pull up to their main parking area.
Chong is a spectacular chef and made our experience! it was my partners first time ever getting hibachi and he loved it. The food was wonderful and we will definitely be back!
One of the best Asian Fusion restaurants in Glen Cove and nearby. Fantastic quality food and they have even have a Sushi Bar! Great for catching a few drinks after your meal as well. A MUST VISIT IF U LIKE ASIAN FOOD!
Very friendly, wait staff, & host. Great food. The baby lamb chops Exceptionally good. Also the shrimp fried rice was very good. Plenty of food. Our only draw back was, there is no separation between the regular tables and the hibachi grill tables. So it gets so loud with those at that grill, that people at regular tables can't even hear themselves think! Service was good, but our waitress didn't know the menu, when I asked what came with the lamb she kept pointing to the top but it didn't say anything. She finally said let me check.... when she came back and told me, I then asked how many chops? She had to go back to the kitchen. (FYI 4 chops!) Maybe she was new.....
Asian fusion at Sweet Mandarin. They offer Japanese and Chinese food! Not to mention their hibachi tables, which I would LOVE to try next time!
We were there at lunch time, and it was very quiet because there were very few people dining at that hour. They did seem to have a pretty big takeout business. Their food is delicious and whenever we're in the neighborhood we enjoy stopping by for lunch. Our orders came in a box with four different choices to enjoy. It was fun! And fairly priced.
Very good Asian food. Place had a decent staff, not overly friendly, but good enough. It also could use a bit of a face lift. But overall, the food experience was delicious. Also, the next table was Habachi, and the chef was excellent....the guests were having a great time. My General Tsao's Chicken, Cold Sesame Noodles and Pork Buns were fantastic. The bartender also did a terrific job on my martini. I would definitely come back.
Great space upstairs especially for a large crowd. However huge language barrier with the wait staff. Hard to explain details and particulars about the food, busser was reaching over guests to collect plates and pour water, even spilled on one of my guests leg pants. Plate presentation was decent even though they didnt number or have a method to serve in order instead they auctioned off, runners made alot of mistakes with bring food to the right people. Habachi dinner was good and priced well. Hot Saki and sapporo served good as well with saki being hot and sapporo being cold. Overall decent night.
Got out of work late and decided to give this place a try! No reservation required, tons of rooftop seating & the staff was extremely welcoming. There's a million options on the menu to satisty every craving. To be honest, Nothing extravagant, pretty basic on the taste buds. Portions were small for a hefty price. Nonetheless, 7.5/10. Solid.
Came here for a little celebration with my son. Service was quick but not incredibly friendly. I felt rushed even though the waitress had only two other tables. To start, the fruit in my drink was spoiled. Yucky way to start off a meal.. My son loved the mango madness roll, and I ordered the deluxe sashimi. The fish was absolutely delicious and fresh. A very nice portion for the price. We then shared some matcha mochi, but the dough around the ice cream was very stale and not gummie how it ought to be. Oh well...not terrible but they need to up their quality control on more than the main courses.
Quality of Food ☆☆☆ Quality of Service ☆☆☆☆ Over all, pretty decent food for the value. Show was good and our chef was fun to talk to, very engaged and told us about his experiences cooking in Japan. I ordered chicken hibachi and I was happy with it. Facility is pretty clean. Would eat here again but primarily because it's local and inexpensive. In regards to the comment below, the visit was around 2 weeks before the pandemic. Recently updated the review. I forget the name of the chef, older gentleman, he was amazing.
I went for dinner and we ate on the terrace outside, nice location but they should look a little more at the cleaning in general. We ordered shrimp gyoza, hibachi and different sushi rolls. The quality of the food is not the same as months ago. After this dinner I ordered three time sushi for pick up and it was not good.
Walked in and multiple signs said "Please wait to be seated". We stood there for 10 minutes, the staff was standing there glancing back at us. We weren't sure if we were supposed to go down to the tables. Eventually we did. Food was good and prices were good though. It was clear that they were doing some restructuring of how they go about their business with some mishaps with the menu and service, it made for an overall awkward experience.
I ordered online and it took over an hour and a half to receive my order. Then when I finally called and got my order delivered, it was the wrong thing. Waste of time and money
Go elsewhere. Save your money. This place tries to do too much and charge too much and fails in almost every regard. The service is horrible. Rude manager basically assaulted my friend, who tried to exchange a dish that tasted horrible, and refused to exchange it. The food is too expensive for the mediocre quality. The sushi isn't bad but horribly expensive. The Chinese dishes failed to meet my expectations almost every time (I've been there 4 or 5 times, so my review is not based on 1 bad experience). The so-called "happy hour" only applies if you sit at a particularly ugly part of the restaurant (and of course that isn't mentioned to the customers). In short, you'll get a bigger bang for your buck elsewhere. I don't recommend this place.
This has been my go-to takeout place for years and I didn't mind that it was a little pricier because it was always worth it. I don't know if I can say the same now. The sesame chicken I had was very different than usual. The sauce was very thick and the chicken was breaded(?) differently. The chef must have changed or something. Edit: 7/18/2024 Decided to give them a second chance and was still disappointed. Soggy seaweed in the sushi (indicating the rice wasn't prepared right/was too hot), burnt scallion pancakes, and overall just expensive mediocrity. They also have a 3% surchage for CC which they didn't let me know before I chose CC over paying in cash. I'll continue going to other Asian restaurants in GC instead.
Sweet Manadarin, Sorry, I can't see what the fuss is about. I've had better. I've came here on purpose & and one other time, not within my control. Food presentation is nice. But, that's where it ends. I ordered Calamari as appetizer, steamed vegetables as main course. Previous visit I ordered same appetizer and ribs as main course. Some vegetables were warm, others cold. The Calamari was just plain dreadful. No flavor, no crispy, just plain wrong. Ribs were good. But, not worth repeat business. Go home, keep driving you will fare better there. Unless, you never had better. Then, you'll love this place because you have nothing to compare it too. The exception to all this is the Hibachi bar. Watch them cook and perform, the food taste and presentation will have you thinking you went somewhere worth while.
Went there for my mom birthday, it was cute, didn't get much of what I order, the waitress was very opinionated. I order 21 pcs of sushi, only got a few pcs, and was billed at full price. They did do candle which I appreciate. Just felt rush.
The quality of this food has gone downhill. We had a general chows chicken and it was so tough. We could barely cut it with a knife.. fermenting duck sauce. Not a good experience lately.
We went there for our anniversary dinner. Service was decent. However, when it time to pay the bill, it took the waiter a long time to get the bill. So we left the tips of the table and proceeded to pay by the cashier. The waiter took his time to give back the change until he signaled another waiter to check if we left any tips of the table. After he confirmed that there was tips of the table then he gave me the change. I personally didn't like how it was done. I understand the waiters.make their money from tips. But. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
Never in my life have I experienced such humiliating behavior from the staff. The waiter who served me was rude ,impatient. It felt like he was doing me a favor. Not only did he bring my order to me incorrectly twice. So more than that He spoke to me in a raised voice.I think it's unfair because the food there is just amazing. But even despite this, the only thing I can do is order to go, but I will never visit this establishment again in my life and do not advise anyone.
The food is not bad , but the prices are ridiculous expensive. And on top of everything they charge you extra for using your credit card . They want cash so they don’t have to report it to irs .
I loved the food, and quick service. However my waiter did not make me and my son feel welcome, she kept pacing (walking) back & forth pass our table staring to see if we finished eating our food. That was annoying.
Horrible customer service, lady with a Bob haircut did not greet us and just threw the menu on the table.she then came back and rushed us through our order. I noticed she only greeted white folk. When people of color sat down she also didn't greet them and rushed through their order.
⚠️UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS REVIEW⚠️ We used to really like this restaurant but the food changed and the environment changed. The avocado roll was delicious but that's it. My friend ordered the beef roll and she was put off by it immediately and didn't even finish it. We ordered the pad thai with chicken and when it was brought to the table we were overwhelmed with the smell of warm cat food. When we tasted it and it tasted like old fish but we ordered chicken Pad Thai. The menu gives you the option of ordering it with shrimp or chicken and we chose chicken but we found chunks of shrimp in our food. Thank goodness we are not allergic to shrimp but we did get sick last night. I gave the restaurant two stars because the Hibachi is great and the men cooking it are so enthusiastic and happy to be there. I don't ever want to go back but if I do it would only be for Hibachi because I could see my food being cooked in front of me and you can't really mess up chicken with vegetables. I highly suggest not ordering from the menu I'm sorry. ⚠️UPDATE!!!!!!!! My friend wanted to take me to Sweet Mandarin for my birthday. I told her I will only eat the Hibachi. We arrived 10 min late because it was raining out. When I arrived, the hostess said "your late". No hello or welcome. Not a smile. Ok...I walk to the Hibachi table and the woman said "these people have been waiting to put in their order." I didn't feel welcomed. Once we sat they wanted our order immediately. Ok. No problem. The cooking was done so fast with no love. No exaggeration...I got 3 tiny pieces of zucchini and a few slices of onions with my Hibachi. Happy birthday to me. I will never return.
We had a horrible experience today, my sister and I were planning on dining in - we first walked in and there was no one to seat us, we had to hunt down a server as they waved us to sit anywhere very flustered. Once we did, it took them over an hour to come assist and take our order. At this point we decided to make our order to-go because we had been waiting for so long. Once we received the food and got home half of our food was missing as well as wrong. Not only is was this upsetting and disappointing but the staff was also extremely rude and unhelpful. When we called to tell them our order was wrong and missing they put us on hold, passed the phone to multiple other workers where we had to re explain the problem and even hung up on us so we had to call back. very unprofessional and messy. Our total order was over $100 and the only thing they could do for us was give a $19 house credit for the next time we go back which is unhelpful since we definitely will not be back after this experience. Sweet Mandarin, do better.
So unfortunate! We had great food and a great time for happy hour until we asked our waiter to wrap up 4 pieces of Sushi that were left, who told us that they weren’t included in happy hour anymore SINCE WE ASKED THEM TO BE WRAPPED! They said take out was not eligible for happy hour, but we were there for over an hour and did not order anything to go. The manager came over and was not nice to us either. So, unfortunately, even though the food was good, we won’t go back.
do not get the nabiyaki udon, flavorless and chicken tasted undercooked. sushi was okay, but didn’t taste very fresh. service was not good, as we had multiple people just coming by our table, there was no one server. at the end when our bill came one server plopped it on our table and then after running my card another server came to pick it up and before we had even left, they opened it and looked at the tip and started talking to the other severs so. rude.
Ordered for take out shrimp with honey walnuts. I have this dish every time I eat at the restaurant. They sent me a shrimp dish with a red sauce and plain walnuts thrown on top. When I called to complain she said that’s the way they make it now. No honey shrimp and no honey walnuts. They just lost a good customer.
Misleading and rude! 1/2 price from Sushi Bar.... on only what they chose even though it says “sushi bar” and does not have exclusions. When we asked, they acted as if I didn’t have a right to question them, rude, and stated “we don’t care if you don’t come back, you misunderstood the menu” The food was ok at best but rude service all the way. This was the second time we had been there and been talked to rudely. First time they got my daughters order wrong and argued with her.... she was 14! Do not waste your time or money. Way better local restaurants that appreciate the business.
Don't order beef with broccoli from this restaurant. Very little beef filled with broccoli. Very dissatisfied. I ate and ate the broccoli filled up top and finally found the beef lying at the bottom. I got tired of eating and moved them out of the way to find them. Absolutely disgusted! This is the third time. Try it again, I will post the pic along with it. The only restaurant that serves such little amount of beef while filling it with brocolli.
The food was horrible. The garlic sauce wasn't even garlic sauce. The chicken was rubbery. The manager was rude. It was a total disappointment.
Called to place a pickup order on 7/8 — the lady on the phone taking my order was extremely impatient — letting out constant sighs, complaints and oh my god’s. $312.87 worth of hibachi dinner orders later, we all agreed the food was steamed and tossed in their take of hibachi sauce. Disgusting and unethical. Needless to say, I will never support this business again and will be advising others to stay away, too.
I gave this restaurant 5 star months ago; today They made me change my mind; staff was so rude; food is cold; no wonder why there isn’t a soul here; we drove 40 min just to have this poor service; from the time we arrive; the hostess was mad because we entered through the second door and so the whole service just no coming back to this place.
I remember coming here years ago and telling myself I would never return. After today’s experience, I’m honestly frustrated that I gave this place my business again. Setting aside the fact that the restaurant is overpriced and the sushi itself was mediocre and falling apart, the service was what truly stood out — and not in a good way. Our waiter never checked on us even once. At one point, I waited over 15 minutes while watching him sit on his phone, despite the restaurant being nearly empty (only one other table was occupied). Eventually, I waved over the hostess, who returned with our waiter. When I politely asked to add on an item I had already ordered earlier (tuna sushi), both of them looked at me as if I had said something unreasonable. The waiter stared blankly, so I calmly repeated myself. The hostess then responded rudely, saying something along the lines of, “Yeah, he heard you,” in a dismissive tone. To be clear, I was not rude or condescending at any point — I simply made a straightforward request. As the hostess walked away, she muttered something under her breath, which only added to how uncomfortable the interaction felt. My partner and I were genuinely baffled by how we were treated. We ended up leaving cash on the table for the total+ tip and left. Interestingly, that was the only moment our waiter suddenly appeared — to collect the money — after being absent the entire meal. Overall, the experience confirmed exactly why I told myself years ago that I wouldn’t come back.
The food here is trash it’s almost like the chefs don’t care the lo mein the sushi is low effort everything is just low effort go to Asian fusion or keke ramen everything need to change the decor the chefs especially
