Love moo Goo Gai Pan and the egg drop soup.
The food is always very good, and the service is kind. This family-owned restaurant has a special place in my heart.
I enjoy this place. They will make it spicy if you want. I have tried many dishes here and they are all good. Awesome for a small town.
Always great and fast any time of day. Ive had every item on the menu thruought the years and never had a bad experience. I really wish they still had the dragon and pheonix dish. best egg fu yong around and lo mein is consistently great every time. Soups are robust and stay hot for what seems like hours. They are very filling and almost refreshing at times. Everything is 10 / 10 every time.
I am very picky when it comes to fried rice, Theirs was cooked perfectly, although I prefer more egg. I had the beef chop seuy, the portion was huge and it was yummy!!
We had great time here. They served us very quickly and the food was great. I left my purse at the restaurant by accident and it had quite a bit of cash in it and when I came back an hour later, the lady had kept my purse in the back and the money was accounted for. Great people. We will be back.

We needed a meal late at night that wasn't fast food. They served our group of 8 quickly and with such kindness. The combo plate of orange chicken was just right!
Placed a take out order in person on 10/05/25. I was greeted warmly. I ordered house special fried rice, with a request for the dish to be prepared with less soy sauce. I also ordered beef with broccoli. The house special fried rice came out perfect. It was loaded with cubes of Chinese BBQ roast pork, shrimp, chicken and not overwhelmed by peas and carrots. The beef and broccoli was also a large portion. The beef ( sliced flank steak) was tender and in good proportion to the amount of broccoli in the dish. While I waited for my order ( only 15 min wait), I noticed the dining area seemed warm. The tables and chairs are simple. A few tables had damaged/ worn tops, I recommend seating yourself at one of the tables which are not as worn out looking. The dining area could use a detailed cleaning. It just appeared old and dated. Windows by the entrance need a good cleaning.

Where to begin , the egg rolls and cheese wontons are phenomenal. The moo goo gi pan was terrible, no mushrooms, no baby corn and an outrageous amount of carrots. The wonton soup was fresh. The general chow chicken was spicey and the broccoli was cold. The fried rice was ok.they nickel and dime you for everything. All in all ok place but I'm not rushing to go back.

Good food except egg rolls tasted like they were cooked in old oil
Orange chicken was not good at all. It tasted like soap. The rice tasted old and smelled of dirty mop water. it was crunchy. I'm very disappointed. The egg roll was ok. It is so nasty. Do not waste your money here.

The only reason I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars is because it’s here in Glen Rose. THE RESTAURANT The quality of furnishings such as the table and chairs are less than standard. The tables appear to have been made in the 70’s and the tops are “bubbling” up due to their age. The table I sat at had several pieces of clear boxing tape covering cracks in the top. THE FOOD I ordered chicken fried rice and fried dumplings. My chicken fried rice was less than impressive. The rice had been cooked at an earlier time. The chicken was freshly boiled and then set in the rice. The entire dish had VERY LITTLE flavor. The only semi redeeming thing about this visit was the fried dumplings and even then, not so much. THE SERVICE There wasn’t anything in particular that stood out good or bad about the service. PRICE Outrageous! Twenty plus dollars for a medium portion of fried rice and 8 or so fried dumplings. OVERALL EXPERIENCE I’m always very careful about being kind when leaving a review. So please know the little kindness shown above is a true reflection of my experience. I hope this isn’t the norm. Nevertheless, I have to say that I am thankful that we have another restaurant that serves similar a type of food here in town.
Greeted promptly, large menu options, but the place doesn’t smell clean or fresh & the menu was sticky. The kitchen behind the counter had no lights on. At this point we almost left, but decided to give it a try & support a local merchant. Atmosphere is not much to speak of. The food was delivered quickly and hot, but didn’t have much taste. No condiments were offered. 2 lunch meals & water $25. Neither of us finished our food and decided not to come back again. 😕
We will not order here again. The food itself was sub-par, but the biggest problem was the cost. When we looked online and placed our order, we were expecting it to be around $25.00. The employee did not give me a total for the order when I was on the phone. When I picked it up, it was $41.00. Their prices are not the same online as in store. For two people getting basic takeout, I was floored by the price. The food itself was nothing special. Overall, it was really disappointing. Lastly, the place just looked run down. It’s one thing to be a “hole in the wall” restaurant. This just looked like a place in disrepair. No music, no real decorations. Just beat up and tired.

We accidentally ordered here by mistake. We like the Teriyaki place in Glen Rose the best. We ordered chicken fried rice and the chicken had no flavor at all. The rice did not appear to be fried or seared, there was also no egg in the fried rice which I thought was a staple in fried rice. It tasted very plain with little to no flavor. Very disappointing experience and we will not be back.
We placed an order to go on a Friday night. My daughter ordered the sweet and sour pork. She received chicken. The pepper steak was terrible as was the pork chow mein (There wasn't any pork in it). The fried rice left a lot to be desired. The dumplings were okay, but I've had better. Would not waste my time or money ordering from here again.
Ordered 2 General Tso Chicken combos and Orange Chicken as well as wontons and eggrolls none of them had any type of flavor or anything. The price was $60 for all of it only for them not to give me my eggrolls and for the food to be so bland. I’ve had nursing home food taste better than this. The place is a dump and the lady is rude.
So the place smells horrible and while we was ordering our food someone in the back hawked a loogi but we still ordered our food to go sauce was all over our to go boxes it was like a frozen dinner most disgusting place I have ever ate at we will never be coming back here I don't even know how there still open
Egg drop soup taste like water with scrambled eggs she had pork low mein it had no flavor I had hunan chicken it was ok but not recommended overall of the place nice lady but food not good. Sorry but not sorry.
