Ate here for the first time in 15 years after having repatriated to Western New York, and I must say that even after 15 years the service and the food at this place is totally awesome, please don't change.

I eat here almost every week. It's a favorite spot for pizza and wings for my boyfriend and I and his daughters. We love it!

Great pizza. We prefer John’s because of the taste and that it is less greasy then the other near by pizza places.

UPDATE: I’ve since been back to John’s and they haven’t done be wrong ever again. I ordered a delicious white pizza and I wish I had a pic to show u, it was perfect! The crust so delicious and the cheese yummy!! We had subs from there about a month ago now and that was delicious. I ordered a cheeseburger sub my bf got the famous chicken finger sub and he ate it all in one sitting he LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! My sub was amazing too. So I’m giving a five star review. Just one thing I wish they could do.. take Apple Pay. I know how expensive the cc readers are about 3 grand and they probably need a special one for that, it’s why nobody on the island takes Apple Pay. Anyways I’d recommend the chicken finger sub, the white or spinach pizza and cheese and pepperoni pizza. Customer service was excellent as well! Thank you John’s Pizzas! Yuck. I ordered 2 subs and a personal pizza today. Nick took my order. I asked for a little bit of oil on leftuce and tomatoe. No MAYO. WAT DID I GET? A cheeseburger sub slathered in mayo. Gross!!!!! I called to complain and Nick didnt care. Lovely customer service. Spent over 30.00 for a friends bday and i dont even get to eat. Thanks. Pizza is second rate at best.

It's easy to forget about a staple Pizza place when determining where you wish to order from. However, John's wins my vote regarding consistency of quality and service. For over 10 years i've been eating John's and in another ten I don't expect anything to change.

We were at the KOA and they delivered here. We ordered two personal pizzas and both were quite good. The delivery person was quite nice and delivered right to our site.

Food was amazing. The service was great too. I had a bunch of kids and my father in law. The female worker was super nice and fast. I had to order an extra sub for all the kids and she made it super quick. I was super impressed.

While its not a place I've sat in to eat, that is an option. But great pizza, delivery far faster than they estimate, tons of hot and cold sandwich options, and salads. Buffalo chicken wrap is yummy. Be brave and order medium with blue cheese. Mild is not spicy at all so if you're going buffalo at least go mild! Great staff, parking behind the building, and great specials too.

As an employee, I love the food here! Especially the subs! My personal favorite is the steak and ring! It’s so good! Also the Big Mac pizza is really good too! If you want quality pizza on the island, this is the place to go!

They are the only place on Grand Island that doesn’t get lost delivering to Country Glen apartments. Not to mention great subs. I also enjoy the pizza. One of these times I will try the wings so I can comment on those too. But I will continue to rave about the delivery!!!!

Very friendly staff, and they're quick compared to everyone else. I find that they mess up the orders here A LOT less than the other places on the Island. Getting what you order shouldn't be a concern you have every time you order pizza. I wouldn't say they're the overall best on the Island, but they are consistent, and I have no complaints. :)

So I placed a pick up order for a ham sub and Garlic knots. The ham was really really good. But these garlic knots, Whoever made these needs to get immediately wifey’d or hubby’d up. They put their heart and soul and making them they were so good.

Been a big fan of John's for a long time. Food is always good. When I moved from Lockport to Grand Island, I was happy to see they had a spot less than 2 miles from me. Keep up the great work!

Very good amount of meats on the subs. Great flavors. As with everything today., you will need to bring a couple of extra dollars with you. But these subs are outstanding.

Upon entering, I was thoroughly impressed by the elegant dining room. I was promptly greeted, and my order was taken with precision. I selected the chicken finger dinner, while my wife chose the fish fry dinner. Both dishes were exceptional. Unfortunately, my nephew consumed the majority of my meal, though I did manage to enjoy a few bites. We will certainly be ordering from this establishment again.

This place is really good! I only wish I would of tried it sooner. Super nice staff as well. Loving the pizza and the subs. New go to spot on the Island. I definitely recommend the specialty pizzas for sure, you can't beat the price either. I had the Big Mac pizza recently and was so good. So go, go right now and get us some deliciousness.

First time in Grand Island and looked up good pizza 🍕restaurants. Johns did not disappoint, in any of the following categories friendly staff, cleanliness, quality food. We went, a family of 5 two pizza specials (2 HUGE slices and soda for $6). Two 6" subs with sodas and an order of chicken renders for $33. Food came fast within 8 minutes and was piping hot. My daughter and I could not even finish our pizza slices and took them home. We each got a supreme and I also got a pepperoni. Pizza was a hand tossed style not too thick. Subs were super thick tons of meat. Definitely recommend Johns pizza when in Grand Island!

Good pizza and beers on tap. All your standard big brand name beers and a few craft small batch crafts. This is the place to go on grand island. Comic book theme and even a small comic book store.

I had the Italian sausage sub, on wheat, which was good, even if the sausage needed to be a little spicier. The large antipasto salad was generous and easily split between two people.

Today February 4th2023 I will never spend another one of my dollars at this place again I order a half ham sub I got home the bun was burnt like charcoal the meat was caked on not spreader I order from there before on my way home to Bflo coming from the casino it won't happen again I don't want to make this a racial issue but the workers kept looking at me and that sandwich was made to fast believe me I got enough money to hire them I will make sure my friends won't stop there to eat

Ordered pick up during COVID 19 crisis. They were out of many items, but were able to substitute. Food was pretty good, some of the flavors were slightly sweeter than expected. Taco was not the best. Wish that staff had been friendlier and wearing gloves/masks.

The single-most best Chicken Finger sub in the area, often imitated and not duplicated. It is a true work of art when they load it up with blue cheese and hot sauce. Their medium sauce has a bit of a kick to it. They also have chicken wing soup, which I heard was great. They also make very good king-sized tacos. Their pizza is okay, but their subs are the areas best. Edit: 9.26.2016 Try the Stinger Sub, a fusion of steak & cheese sub with chicken finger sub = the next level of awesomeness! A little pricey, but it is filling and worth it. Service is friendly and very good. If you plan to place an order around lunch then do so ahead of time as they can be very busy during the weekdays.

Food is usually very good but this time, the pizza was sloppy and spread across the box like it was made and delivered in a rush. Over done also. Order from there regularly but was disappointed this time

When waiting in the lobby for your food, you have to watch and keep checking to see if it is done. They saw us (only people in the lobby) and placed our food on the back waiting table until WE asked for it. Very disappointed in the new staffing.

We went Friday at 8 pm to pick up a medium c & p with 10 BBQ fingers. There were orders being confused for a few ppl before us, but we were confidently handed our box and bag & went out way. Turns out the pizza was fine, but we were given 5 fingers & fries. Also, we were overcharged - it was 20.89 for the food (online listed special price), and we got 2 bottles of 20oz Green teas. The total came to 31.94 - we had paid with a credit card and didn't pay attention to the total, our fault, but there is no reason we could think of for tax & teas to be $11. A disappointment, when it's usually no prob.

This place is decent. Not great, not terrible. Many times the staff acts very immature toward each other, which is kind of annoying to listen to. The subs are ok, nothing really special. Chicken finger sub is a good choice. Price is fair. I wouldn't bother with the pizza, much better pizza options nearby.

I find it pretty disingenuous that a retail facility charges a 3% fee to use a credit card. As a retail business it's an expectation to accept credit cards and for the facility to absorb any credit card fees. It used to be during covid, they wouldn't accept cash and only credit card and now they want to charge us an additional fee to use a credit card. Very poor way of operating a business. The food is good but charging fees to use a credit card is truly a very poor way of doing business.

Sometimes its great, other times they totally screw up my order, other times they tell me they're closed when the hours are listed opened. It's hit or miss. I got a -perfect- sandwich there the first week I got here and it's been kinda rough since.

I ordered a deal online under Their pizza and wings deals. I get there to pick it up and 1st they are saying they can’t find it. Come to find out that’s because they made me 30 fingers instead is 50 wings. Did offer to fix their error I had six kids waiting and didn’t really have time for them to fry 50 wings. I also ordered a large salad. They told me everything was there I get all the way back to the hotel with my kids and get them unpacked to find out there’s no salad. Fingers were very dry!!! Even with them messing up my order and forgetting my salad workers were still polite and stay professional.

Ordered "steak-in-the-grass" sub, specifically with just "no cheese". Recd sandwich with ONLY meat & spinach, NO tomato & NO lettuce (as described in menu) - so only 1/2 the expected ingredients. Also both fries & onion rings were very overcooked & dry (cooked too long or oil too hot ?!?). Sadly disappointed !!

I’d say it’s inconsistent here. Sometimes great sometimes okay and sometimes awful. The roast beef was truly terrible and I had to just throw it away.

This has been one off my favorite places to Eat. But after today's visit I will think. Horrible service. Very sad this place was always customer first Especially Island People. The kid made me feel I was in convince.

Just had 2 subs delivered, very quickly. Everything was great until I found a long black hair in my turkey club sub Not mine, I have short blonde hair. Really? C'mon now...i threw up and tossed it all in the trash. Disgusting. What should I do to rectify this?

After my first two bad experiences, I posted a negative review. The wife of the owner messaged me on FB messenger to scold me for the review, asking me to give them time. We gave them time. We have not had a good experience since.

I ordered a medium cheese, mushrooms and onions pizza. It cost $18.41 and NOT worth it. It barely had any mushrooms or onions. I shouldn't have even been charged for them because there was SO little on the pizza. I could have had a medium 5 cheese steak pizza from Rockys for the same price and it would have been 100 times better. You're better off ordering from Rockys. Rockys has better food for the money. I won't order from John's again. I'm sticking with Rockys.

Got two subs for like 25$ and change, they are mostly bread. Very small wrapped up very tightly, they could have put more peppers/pickles on since they charge extra for that..its better than burger king, kind of? Its a convenience place you get food and you hope you dont get Hershey Squirts later on, you go there cause you're too lazy to leave grand island, not cause the food is great. Everywhere on the Island seems to know this. Even the tops supermarket.

Grew up on Grand Island - this was always my favorite place a the Chicken Finger sub was my go to! The past 2 times I’ve been in town for a visit the sub has been, well - not good. Soggy bread, barely any lettuce or tomatoes and just not great! I thought I’d give it another shot tonight since I was back in town - once again disappointed.

Ordered here twice, first time they had my card info wrong and brought the wrong drinks. Second time I ordered a pizza with double cheese , double pep, with green olives and onions on half. First off, who puts onions UNDER the cheese? It DEFINITELY was not double cheese OR double pep. and onions were all over not just half. Last but not least...The sauce is gross. Almost $50 for a pizza delivered. Rather go out for steak!

I was just here to pick up an order of Buffalo Bread between 6:45-7pm. The telephone order was polite and efficient. After that... it all went downhill. I arrived to pick up my order and paid cash. I had my hand out to receive my change and the young woman taking care of me answered the phone and slammed my change down on the counter. I left the change on the counter where she slammed it down. I got the order home and found it to be sloppily thrown together...some pieces of bread with just butter on them. I've been patronizing this establishment for a long, long time and I have to say the quality and the customer service is no longer as good as it once was.

I have NEVER seen less cheese put on a buffalo pizza. Minuscule amounts. The tomato sauce was good, I liked the chewy crust, the mushrooms were OK. Uhg.

Not happy, ham,cheese,cappacola/assorted sub advertised on menu for $8:89 and charged at the counter for ham and cheese sub and $2:95 more for additional meat (cappacola). Won't be going back. Also saw worker drop spatula on floor, then picked it up and put it back by the stove to be used without washing it first. One star for addiquite parking.

The person who took my order didn't listen had to repeat myself several times. When I get my order it was wrong. I guess it's true finding good help is hard

Used to be my favorite pizzeria on the island. Last time I ordered the food was unrecognizable. Pretty sad what this place has become.

I ordered a steak and ring sub that was falling apart when i opened it up, and the single order of wings were small. Two of the wings were basically just bones. Not to mention that when the delivery guy showed up, his music was blaring rap(I don't have a problem with the genre, just the profanity being as loud as it was). I know I won't be ordering from them again, but If I do I will walk into their establishment with a boombox just blaring music and we will see how they like it.

Quality of food not as good as it used to be. Just ordered large cheese and pepperoni pizza and 20 bbq wings. Wings over cooked. Pizza had a 3 inch crust with no sauce or toppings. NOT ordering food from there again.

I have tried many times to give this place a chance.. I guess if you use a coupon you are given less product... I ordered a mushroom pizza that had an average of 2 mushrooms per slice....I asked for my fingers to be Saucier and were very dry and the size of my finger... not sure if it's management or cheapness. .. time to give another business a chance on the island!!!!! Gave a star for the young kids working hard

John's over the years has really gone downhill it's a shame used to be a great place to eat. Pepperoni is way too hot on the pizza the turkey sub tastes awful the other day that I just had I don't know what kind of turkey there using just awful place is really going down its a Shame at one time it was a great place to eat.

Pizza was burnt on one side to the point where peperoni was black 50% of the way, staff still thought it was good enough to be served. If that wasn't bad enough prepackaged salad had small hair(looked like a eyelash or eyebrow). Sickening and Dissapointing...

Hmmm where to start! Let's see 1 out of every 3 orders is completely screwed up. We've had hair literally wrapped around our chicken wings and in pizza cheese. No hair nets worn and the staff always seems stoned.. Ot to mention with these incidents have they ever offered to.comp our bill!!

Honestly, This place continues to disappoint. The food is great, however getting an order that’s accurate is nearly impossible. It wouldn’t be an issue, however the “manager” doesn’t find it to be a big deal or any sort of frustration for the consumer. It appears the thought is that they’re paying me to order from them. I’m sure my review doesn’t matter, however I would suggest always checking your order for accuracy upon receiving. Based on this alone I won’t be ordering again. This is my own opinion, take it as you wish.

This review reflects my order placed on DoorDash - to this restaurant. I payed and had order confirmation that my food would be delivered in 30/40mins. When the driver came to pick up my food the manager would not allow the driver to receive and said I did not pay (even though this went though on my bank account). I was then told to call John’s and re pay, which would be duplicating my order (charging me twice). I tried to explain this to the manager but I was told he would not give out the food and that my order was cancelled. The manager was very rude over the phone and I never received my food based on them having a “technical issues” with DoorDash. I am Very unsatisfied and would not recommend this restaurant.

The pizza is usually quite good but literally every second time I order from the place they get my order wrong. Whether they deliver the completely wrong order or hand you the wrong order when you pick it up. Not sure what the issue is with them. For the price paid for a couple pizzas you'd think good service would come with that kind of premium price.

The stank for the sub was not cooked all the way and the sub was just thrown together and falling apart. This is the 3rd time I've tried this place and my last.

I paid $40 for 10 tenders and got 7 of them… I also had to pay extra to get curly fries instead of regular fries and there were barely any fries in our box! I’m seriously disappointed and will not be buying from here again..

Waited over an hour and half for it to be delivered. Absolutely disgusting pizza, was extremely burnt. Ordered 2 subs both where burnt to a crisp. Got a stinger which fell apart as soon as you picked it up. Ordered a Hercules the lunch meat was sour which probably ment it was old, ordered it with tomatoes got 1 single slice of tomatoe on it. Will never get any food from there ever again. Would never recommend to anyone. Not to mention people are extremely rude.

The delivery person forgot the receipt when they showed up to my house, so I couldn’t leave a tip as I had no cash. A couple days later I see the credit card charge was different, and that they added $3 to it. I’m not mad about the $3, I usually tip more, but I’m upset they took it upon themselves to add the tip. Thieves.

Food was terrible. We paid $80 for 2 large subs and an appetizer sampler. The sampler was over fried and drenched with grease. The cheese burger sub was dried out and over cooked and my husband's sausage sub was not at all what was expected. Very disappointing. We paid for subs and sides what we paid for steak dinners at Longhorn but at least our steaks were good.

Vomit and diarrhea for 24 hours after eating a Greek chicken wrap from this place. Stay away.

We ordered online my sandwich without onions due to an allergy (no place to indicate an allergy). My sandwich is covered in onions. We call about the error and return to the Grand Island location. A mistake like this can put people in the hospital. I was not happy when I walked in, but instead of being very apologetic, I was met with excuses...very busy, mistakes happen, etc... with zero acknowledgement of the seriousness of the "mistake". When she brought the sandwich she tossed it on the counter at me and walked away. I immediately asked for a manager as I stood there for another several minutes. Only to find out that the rude person who tossed my sandwich at me was the manager. I will never return to a place that puts so little care into the health and well being of their customers!

Two visits in two weeks.. 1st visit pizzas made wrong. 2nd trip today ordered 2 subs and neither made right. Plus 2 slices of roast beef only for a whole sub and 1 chicken finger for half sub. 25 dollars wasted. No one listens correctly to phone orders. Some one needs to check finished items as staff surely can't make it right. Too bad as we are locals. Subway will have to do..... thanks

Placed and order at 5:59 pm almost 8 pm no food no phone call. I called and was told they wrote the wrong number down and the wrong address. Sorry, but there is no way a business can be that incompetent for a simple delivery. This is why so many businesses go out of business, Bottom line new to this area and will never order again and will tell the person who told me to try it, will tell them what I truly thank. Now, I have to wait for a refund on over 50 some dollar order.

I hope this place doesn’t set or follow the standard for pizza in WNY. I ordered a single slice, I seemingly was given a junior and it came with the price tag of a regular slice(nearly $4). In addition, it was on the sweeter side, which is totally unexpected of pizza. Disappointing

Like most pizza places you walk in and it's a little greasy and grimy in there, but my one star review is the fact I ordered 20 wings from these guys, ate 10 of them, about an hour later was sick as a dog..... I will never come back here. I will not have any one I know go there. I will steer people away from this place. Your food gets me sick, I put it all over the Internet. Cross-contamination is a real thing and if the young kids you have working in the kitchen don't understand what that is touching raw chicken and then touching cooked chicken. After you've touched raw chicken, we're not washing your hands or utensils gets people sick.

Usually good, but we preordered our subs hours in advance, asking for some items on the side. When we arrived, they hadn't even started the order. Subs were quickly and slopily put together, with a few nugget size pieces of chicken barely covering half the sub and item not on the side as ordered.
