Not just another coffee shop! Visited today..August 16..see receipt. I used to go here years ago after swim practice...wow this place has grown! They have a huge selection of burritos..sandwiches..wraps and bakery items. I had the Americano coffee with a gluten free cookie to go. Coffee was tasty and the cookie was so moist! They have plenty of indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. This place is tucked away on Maltman drive yet the locals know a good place to have some delicious food ( thus always busy). Quick service and friendly employees (thanks Penny for a great attitude!) I would recommend meeting your friends here since it is spacious inside!
This is my favorite coffee shop in Grass Valley! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It’s a great place to have a coffee meet-up or bring your laptop and work for a couple hours. The owner and her staff are always welcoming and nice! Don’t miss the food options - from a full case of homemade baked goods to breakfast burritos or quiches - there’s something for everyone!
The best and most welcoming spot in Grass Valley. Staff has always been kind and attentive. Service is quick and the food is delicious. They offer bubba bagels and make their own in house huge breakfast burritos. They offer a lot more but those are my favourites to order. They also have a super comfortable place to sit outside and hang out, I spent a lot of time out there when I was teaching my puppy to settle. If it's not too busy staff would even bring my drink/food outside to me. Just overall great service, not too loud, very cozy, friendly, and good food/drinks.
I had a White Mocha very well made and tasted like toasted marshmallow. I was going to get a scone but decided not to. After I sat down they brought me a sample scone with my coffee. This kind of customer service is rare nowadays, I highly recommend this café.
Cute and cozy little coffee cafe, friendly staff, and an assortment of baked goods + yummy looking breakfast burritos etc. I do wish places had more of a selection for those of who can’t eat eggs, dairy, wheat. But they’re happy to do their best to accommodate upon ordering. When I try coffee houses I like to see how my Oat milk Cortado will taste first. I have to say major thumbs up with smooth coffee. After being in Portland, OR for the last decade I’m sooo thrilled to find a place in GV that knows a good roast! I’ll be back to try a list of items and let ya’ll know. 🙃☕️ UPDATE on 5/4/24 @10:15am… Please give a reminder lesson to staff on what a Cortado is. I ordered my usual and the sales gal yells to the barista “just four shots”. I say, “don’t forget the oat milk”. (She acknowledges) Then I get my 4 shots only 🤦🏼♀️ I tell her she forgot my cookie and the oat milk, then proceeds to pull the refrigerated oat milk out, set it on the counter for me to pour, and walks away… 🤔 seriously ? At that point I walked out quietly cause I don’t want cold milk in my hot espresso. 🙄 I know employees can have bad days, so a friendly pep talk to have them pay attention to the details is all I hope for 😊 See ya next time and 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Great coffee and pastries! I got an iced raspberry mocha, a raspberry scone, and an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. They went the extra mile and warmed up my scone with butter. However the sandwich was clearly heated in the microwave and still a little cold in the middle. Coffee was great - lots of syrup options!

This is a great local coffee shop. You will not be disappointed they have great pastries as well. They love to honor first responders too. The staff are remarkably warm and kind.
We unknowingly stumbled in on a Saturday afternoon when they were closed. The ladies who own the place couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating! The layout was clean and charming with an adjacent bookstore and the espresso was delicious! Highly recommend this place

They're so kind. They were closing and I asked for one cup of coffee. I was having such a hard day. They made it for me and hugged me. Beautiful people ❤️
One of my goto spots for a couple of years when up here in Grass Valley once a week. Coffee is quality stuff, roasted just right , always hot, I like a Mocha once in awhile and it's just right. Also good selection of Loose Teas. Used book store is connected to the building and has good selection of used books.Staff is nice and mixed client's visit and meet here , but not over crowded.
Tea is freshly brewed upon order, wonderful baked goods and breakfast burritos. Wonderful service! All around such a wonderful place! I would say this place is now my go to place for my stop before work. Great job lady's!!!

A Hidden Gem We’re Glad We Found! We discovered this spot through a quick Google search, and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted. The coffee was excellent, and the food truly exceeded our expectations for a coffee house—it’s honestly the best coffee house food we’ve ever had. I ordered the half burrito, and it was more than enough. It came packed with eggs, cheese, and meat—super satisfying. My wife had a frittata and said it was amazing. We also shared a raspberry scone, which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great too. My wife used the Wi-Fi and was able to get some work done comfortably while we enjoyed our coffee and lunch. We’ll definitely be back!

I stopped by my first time just for a cup of coffee and was given a cup to self-serve — which I like — but two of the three options were empty. Yet, the staff on shift were super accommodating and prompt getting fresh brews made ASAP, and even bringing a cup to my table with a smile. They also recognized and referred to many regulars by name while I was there. Clearly they care about people and their product. Epic pastries, good coffee, kitsch decor and super cleanliness would make me a regular if I lived just a bit closer. Keep up the happy-making SMCC!!!

Friendly staff absolutely, but they charge 11 dollars for days old breakfast burritos that they reheat in the microwave. It was my first and last time here, unfortunately. Now I know why none of my friends or I had ever heard of this place before.

I wish I had a better review to write. I used to frequent this location many years ago as a student and had a lot of great moments and beverages, oh how the great have fallen. I went to visit this location to grab a quick bite and some cafine. Unfortunately, neither happened. As I walk in, I notice a very large politically charged blue livesatter banner and try to pay no mind to it. As I make my way into the shop I see another one right where all the nice art used to be. And to be very clear, I'm not about to argue the simantics of cops and the ethics, that's not what this is about. But to be willing to openly admit AS A BUSINESS that you think you can compare a career path to the skin tone you where born with is beyond me. As a black man who has had many positive interactions with law enforcement, I still think it's incredibly offensive to compare the tone of my skin to a potential optional career path. Fundamentally the two are not comparable. Unfortunately this speak very poorly of the new ownership and management of this business but that's not even the worst part. As I walk into the beloved coffee shop that I once knew I realize that not a single person was wearing a mask. This is important because I just came from the hospital where my pregnant wife was being treated for early contractions, thankfully everything was wrapped up there and she was all taken care of with great help. But I couldn't help feeling sick to my stomach watching the employees the management and all the staff not wearing masks interacting with people way too closely and especially coughing all over the food that I was going to order. I turned and walked out.
