Ordered online and picked up. Food presentation was nice. Portion size was enough for 2 meals. Restaurant had a good flow of pick up orders. Ambiance and decor is very nice. Will eat in the restaurant next time. Looks like there’s a space for live music, but need to confirm the days it’s offered.
The jollof rice and goat meat was absolutely delicious. I found myself craving it days after! The staff is also so friendly and will take time explaining the menu to you.
Just driving by I spotted this cute restaurant. I’ve had Nigerian food a few times but I’ve never had catfish soup. The chef and staff were so kind with phenomenal customer service. I took my food to-go. If you’re in a rush, everything is cooked fresh to order, so order ahead online. I ordered the catfish soup and jollof rice. Best jollof rice I’ve had and the catfish soup was awesome. I love the spice level, but if you’re looking for a little more spice, ask for their spicy sauce. Amazing!! Thank you so much for the great first experience. I can’t wait to visit again!
I had an amazing experience at Gbangura Suya! I tried both the chicken Suya and beef Suya combos, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy with just the right amount of spice, and the beef was perfectly grilled and full of rich, bold flavor. You can really taste the quality and care they put into the seasoning and grilling. The pepper mix was spot on and added the perfect kick without being overwhelming. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. Honestly, one of the best Suya spots I’ve ever been to. I’ll definitely be back — highly recommend! 🔥🍢
Atl, native here and This is probably one of the best cultural experiences I've ever had in my life. This owner poured his heart into this restaurant and I FELT it. Idk where you live, it's worth the drive!! Charlene was so helpful and friendly, the music... The atmosphere, I can't wait to see how they've grown over the years!! I literally forgot I was in loganville Georgia. This experience made me even more excited to visit the motherland.
The food was exceptional! I had the Beef Suya, perfect spice level and plenty of flavor. Authentic, aromatic, and delicious.
My wife and I wanted to try something different for dinner so we tried this Nigerian restaurant near our house. It was our first time trying this kind of food and I must say that it was good. It was a little spicy, but not to the point that you can't enjoy it. The Beef Suya could've been a little more tender, but the flavor was really good. We also tried the Spaghetti Stir Fry and the Fried Chicken. We ordered the combo's so we got the Jollof Rice and fried plantains for our sides. Everything was really good and tasty. We even tried the Meat Pie, which was really good as well. The customer service was excellent and the food was cooked to order so everything was hot and fresh. If you're in the area and looking for some good Nigerian food, I recommend going to Gbangura Suya.
I am rather "old school" about dining choices, however, I have been seeing this very recently opened Nigerian restaurant less than a mile from my house. Yes. It was very good. Actually AWESOME. Thank you, Moses! We will be back!!!!!
If you're starving—hey, that's not my fault! But this is definitely the spot to hit. I was going crazy browsing Google trying to find some good Island/Caribbean food—specifically Haitian—but I ended up finding this hidden gem: a Nigerian restaurant. I decided to give it a try, and let me tell you... this is it! The flavors? On point. The taste? Hmmm, so good you’ll be tempted to bite your lips and your fingers! 😅 Don’t just take my word for it—go try it yourself. Every time I get the chance, I’m going back. One love 🇳🇬💛 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹✌️
My first time!!! The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Top draw!! There’s a very good balance between portion and quality. I fully intend to make this place my go to!! I can dig it!
NICE, NICE!!!!! Only my second time having Nigerian food and this was hands down way better than the first time. Had Jollof rice and Goat combo.......Freaking delicious!!! And the lovely smile on the young lady at the counter made it even better. I will be back for sure!!!!! No pics to post, I inhaled it too fast to stop for pictures!!!!!
If you're looking for authentic Nigerian food that warms the soul, look no further! I had the pleasure of dining here recently, and let me tell you — every bite left me craving more. The goat meat was absolutely incredible — tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It had just the right amount of spice and depth that shows real culinary love went into the preparation. And the egusi soup? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, thick, and full of flavor, it paired beautifully with the pounded yam and left me smiling with every spoonful. This isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of Nigerian culture, community, and food made with heart. I couldn’t be prouder of what my friend has built here. Whether you’re Nigerian or just curious about the cuisine, you owe it to yourself to stop by and experience it. Can’t wait to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I enjoyed the food. I've never had Nigerian food, but I've heard great things about Jollof rice and it was delicious. Got some of the Suya spice with it and sprinkled it all over, and it was very good. Got it to go, and it was 5ish minutes for my order to be ready. I'll be back!
Family owned business. Extremely nice! Food and service both top notch! We have been waiting for them to open and have been excited, as we had never had Nigerian food before. After eating here, I know we were definitely missing out! We will be back very soon and plan on trying other menu items. I love spicy food and thats another reason I am absolutely in love with this resteraunt after just one visit! ◡̈ Also, the plates come with a lot of food. Me and my husband shared one and our teenager had some too. Best food I have had in a long time.
Wanted to like this place but was so disappointed. The meat pie looked fresh and I was told it was made same day but meat inside was spoiled. $4.95 ended up in trash. Asked for fried chicken suya combo. I was given burnt grilled chicken with suya spice. Rice was not good. Ended up trashed. Beef suya however was pretty decent. Overall I won't come back but my curiosity was satisfied after they popped up on my instagram and I decided I must try them out.
Unfortunately, the stir fry suya noodles were a big letdown. For $15, I expected an actual stir fry instead I got instant ramen noodles with minimal seasoning. The noodles were dry, lacked flavor, oil, and any real suya spice profile, and the beef really had no flavor. The type of noodle they chose ruined the dish. The egg on top wasn’t fried. Instead, it was clearly beaten and cooked like a plain omelet, then cut up and added, which didn’t work for this dish. The egg was not seasoned. Overall, it felt rushed and poorly executed. Corners were cut. I may come back to try something else on the menu and update my review. But the ramen noodles need to be taken off the menu.
THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK. have you ever wondered what it’s like to be scammed. If so, Eat here. The food Is high cost low value. The chicken Suya is nothing more than chicken wings. I got four wings on a bed of tomato paste rice the plantain is boiled. I understand the demographic that’s around. This restaurant doesn’t truly know what Nigerian food is or even West African food, but that’s no reason to scam your customers.
They have a C rating!!!!! My food was gross and made my lip a little itchy, even after telling the owner that I had seafood allergies, I had the suya noodles and it was supposed to come with a boil egg and veggies, along with the beef instead I got very very tiny strips of hard meat, no veggies, a huge giant fried egg that was way over cooked, and the prices are insane! And it was ramen noddles they charged $15 for a plate full of hard baby pieces of beef with ramen noodles lol. The meat pie was dry and flavorless, a Jamaican restaurant would never charge $26 for a a chicken plate with two sides! Don’t come here there’s better African spots in the metro Atlanta area thats a lot better
Salty, half of my beef suya plate was burnt, and super tough and crispy (yes crispy meat) AFTER I asked if it’s tender which he assured it was. I called to let them know, no type of accommodations. $35 down the drain - don’t waste your time, money, or taste buds. Really wanted to give them a good try - dragged my hubby there because I was excited for a new spot. Restaurants in this area barely make it but good luck especially with the food and customer service lacking.
