Such a lovely little spot. The service was warm and attentive and the sushi was fresh and full of flavour. Every roll was a hit, specially the salmon dragon roll was the standout for me. It’s a small place, which makes it feel cosy, and the fresh wasabi just topped it off nicely. Would happily come back again

Hands down the best sushi in Chelsea / Kens area. Not a single dish that wasn’t fantastic. Every piece of fish was incredibly buttery and fresh. I’d come back in a heartbeat if it wasn’t almost 200£ for a light lunch for two… watch out for the specials written by hand on the blackboard. They’re delightful, but expensive. Guessing they don’t write the price on it for a reason… turns out if we had picked the aburi on the menu (three different types) instead of the specials board we would’ve only paid 24£ instead 48£. So just be mindful if you go. Restaurant is tiny inside and has some seating outside too which I could see being great in summer. Just to also give a comment on the reviewer below me who gave a single star due to being asked to leave: we were right next to this gentleman (the restaurant has only three tables) - he had been sitting down for barely 2-3minutes before the waitress apologized to him explaining she had made a mistake and given away the table to him albeit it being booked. Yes, it’s not ideal to be seated and then asked to leave, but he had quite literally not even had a chance to look at the menu before being asked to leave. Don’t let this review deter you from trying the food, it’s easy to book and will ensure you don’t experience a similar situation.

🍣🎉 Absolutely Outstanding Birthday at Danieru Sushi! 🎉🍣 I celebrated my birthday last night at Danieru Sushi, and it was truly phenomenal. Recommended by The Infatuation (and deservedly recognised with an award!), this tiny gem seats only eight, making the experience incredibly intimate and special.✨ The sushi was among the best I've ever had—the hotate (scallop) was extraordinary, melting in the mouth like butter! 🤤 Every piece showcased incredible craftsmanship and freshness. The authentic Japanese staff provided A* service: attentive, warm, and perfectly paced. 🇯🇵👌🏼 They even surprised me with a lovely gesture at the end of the meal for my birthday, making the night truly unforgettable. 🎂🥳 Our meal was £222 for two, including plenty of incredible sushi—worth every penny. I honestly cannot wait to go back! Highly, highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great sushi place. We tried the omakase menu (which must be booked a day in advance) and it was delightful. Beautiful presentation. The place is tiny, so do make a reservation. Perfect date night spot.

I had the honour of dining with my dearest companion, a steadfast friend since the days of our youth, for an omakase supper of the finest order. Through the years, he has remained ever by my side, a true constant amidst life’s many turns. Fortune smiled upon us, for the evening’s fare was nothing short of splendid—an experience most exquisite and, indeed, worth every farthing expended.

Best sushi in London so far! Small but cozy place with 8 outdoor seating, 8 indoor seating. Inside is a bit tight, that’s why we sat outside. They had heaters and blankets so no issue enjoying the cozy atmosphere in a slightly chilly weather! All special rolls we had (California Mango Roll, Snowcrab Crunch Roll, Salmon Dragon Roll, Salmon Crunch Roll) were very delicious but if you must choose, try California Mango Roll! Incredibly warm staff, very kind and helpful. We didn’t know which sake to order, they helped us choose the perfect fit for us. They also found a solution for my son and served an ice-tea which was not on the menu.

Spectacular little place. The food is amazing, fresh, tasty, and presented with great attention to details. The 2 waitresses are gorgeous and so attentive. You have 3 chefs and 2 waitresses for the 8 covers restaurant, it feels like a private chef experience. Me and my gf will be back very often to this little gem.

A small but cozy restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. I tried the wagyu tataki, which was the highlight of my meal—absolutely fantastic. I also sampled sashimi and 3-4 different special rolls, all of which were flavorful and made with high-quality ingredients. While the wagyu was excellent, the overall experience felt a bit pricey. Additionally, not being able to pay in cash was inconvenient.

Out of this world. I love real sushi.. the actual one you eat in Japan. And this jumps straight to the top of my sushi spots in London. Take it from a foodie.. and go before everyone else finds out about them… thank me later. Quality is the best you can get, ambiance is intimate and cozy, and Chi is an amazing host. What a find!!

Such a cozy local joint! The sushi was super fresh. They have authentic, traditional nigiris but also more innovative ones too. Loved the atmosphere and how welcoming and friendly the staff were. Definitely planning on coming back!

Authentic Japanese sushi in Chelsea! I discovered what true wasabi tastes like, it’s extremely fresh. I had an incredible dining experience. The staff is super friendly. Do book in advance.

The best Salmon belly Nigir I have ever had! Excellent intimate dining experience. They focus on the very best ingredients at a fair price! The rolls also delicious. I loved everything from the miso soup to every cut of fish. You can watch them prepare right in the kitchen. You can also order to go. Make sure to get the fresh wasabi! Owner was super friendly!

Amazing food and atmosphere at this little restaurant. We enjoyed the food so much and when we were going to leave, we realized that during the whole dinner all we spoke about was how absolutely delicious the food was! We ordered the Gen Matcha rice tea which was an excellent pairing with the food. All of us ordered different sushi rolls - all was amazing! So beautiful and great taste! Best sushi I ever had- you must visit this place! Located near excellent litlle shops so very nice surroundings to visit.

Brilliant atmosphere reminding me of rural Japan and some of the best sushi I’ve had in London! Fish is fresh and the sushi rice is very good quality. Staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend their nigiri.

Quite possibly the best sushi restaurant that I have tried in London! Freshly grated Japanese wasabi, melt in your mouth sushis, lovely and friendly staff. It was such a cute and cozy dining experience. Do book in advance

One of the Londons well kept secret, a small venue with the most amazing food and service. If you are craving sushi or sashimi I couldn’t recommend enough, and their wagyu is simply the best I have ever tasted.

K

2024 addition to the local restaurant scene successfully bridging the gap in the offering of high quality sushi, sashimi, black cod, wagyu and various every day specials. After a few visits I can see that everything is fresh every day and they stock very little for the evening as it is a restaurant with only a few tables. That way one can be sure of freshness of the produce. Their prices are shockingly high for such a local place with not much atmosphere but if you’re there for the food then you won’t be disappointed.

Wish there were more stars to give. Absolutely amazing ! Must try the black cod. Best we have ever had. Super friendly service and excellent recommendations.

The sushi was amazing, the fish was really fresh and the rice was perfect. Fresh wasabi and a beautifully balanced soy sauce. Along with the friendliest and most accommodating service.

Amazing food, we ate it in like 2 seconds and they took also 2 seconds to prepare it. The little terrace is so cool and cozy. WOW slay

This place is a gem! The food is incredible and the specials are amazing. Small but very charming. Expensive for sure but the top quality and flavours take the sting out of the bill. Tbh it feels like one could be tucked away somewhere in Tokyo or Kyoto. Had some fab lunches here and also just celebrated our son’s 22nd birthday here with a lovely meal.

Without doubt the best sushi I’ve had in London. My dinner guests, from San Francisco (!), said that this was the best sushi they ever had. Our compliments to the chef. The service was something else. Ati made our experience special beyond the call of duty. I will bring all my friends. I wish I could keep this place a secret but they deserve the review.

Top 3 sushi places I have eaten at anywhere around the world. 8 seats. 2 amazing servers. Chefs were awesome. Very reasonably priced for the quality. The specials they had tonight were awesome.

We came across this place by pure accident, when I stopped to visit the menu. Suddenly we got greeted by a kindly and caring man who took us into further detail. Once inside, the ambience was chill, not too many people on a Thursday night, yet full of spirit. The whole crew was polite and patient enough to guide us during the course. They had the bartender come and speak to us regarding the cocktail menu. Which was a good token. Though needless to say, if you're reading this —they were spectacular. Taste and presentation. Edgar, I see you. This one's for you. I'll be back as soon as I'm made available. No doubt.

Soooo good, super good quality fish, the nigiris are great! Same or better quality as fancier and much more expensive sushi restaurants. Tiny little restaurant, very cozy and with very friendly and detailed oriented staff.

Excellent restaurant. The fish is superb quality, among the best in London and the restaurant is uniquely small and intimate. Perfect for date night. Service is super attentive too. I have 0 bad things to say! Recommend without hesitation

Danieru Sushi is a local Chelsea neighbourhood gem. The sushi is super high quality and some of the best I've ever eaten. The restaurant is tiny. Inside, there are only 4 tables (double that is available outside on the terrace when the weather allows for it). For this reason, I would highly recommend making a reservation. The staff are also incredibly friendly!

This place is great! The food is absolutely delicious. They make their own soy sauce and the wasabi is fresh and unlike that boring pasty stuff you typically find in Japanese restaurants. The fish is absolutely fresh and beautifully prepared. We loved the staff as well. The vibe of the interior makes for such an enjoyable evening. If we lived in London, we would make this a regular spot for dining.

Love it! Absolutely incredible sushi - so fresh, bursting with flavour, and top quality! The service was exceptional, with staff who truly looked after us. The atmosphere was authentic and full of charm, we didn’t want to leave! Without a doubt, my favourite sushi spot in London. Highly recommend!

Unbelievably fresh, top-quality fish and delicious rolls. The staff are genuinely friendly and super attentive. I’m very picky about sushi, but this has quickly become my favourite spot. Highly recommend!

Come here a lot and it's always amazing. Girlfriend's favorite place. Good quality fish. Not so much variety of rolls but they are good. I always get the california mango roll and scallops and the sesame dressing salad is top.

A tiny little gem hidden in Chelsea...Japanese cuisine at its most refined, incredibly cosy atmosphere and impeccable service. Thank you for a lovely 21st Birthday dinner last night and the wonderful origamis and dessert as gifts! So so nice 🙏 🍣 🎁 xx

Found this place randomly and so glad we stopped in! Fantastic food, restaurant is beautiful and staff very attentive. Fresh ingredients and the fresh wasabi made at the table was a lovely touch! Would highly recommend

The salmon and tuna nigiri are very delicious! The kaiso salad and the seared tuna roll were good too. The rest was somewhat delicious and well-made, but if I return I would try more of the nigiris. The server also recommended we try the seared nigiris on our next visit. I did not like the churoto maki because I felt the tempura flakes overpowered the taste of the other ingredients. I would give this place a 5 for the service alone. We sat outside which was also lovely.

Excellent meal. Extremely fresh fish and delicious miso + salads. I’m taking away a star because they offered fresh wasabi, to which we said, “sure why not.” I only learned later from the bill that it came with a £6 price tag, which I found crazy for something they offered for free, in my mind. I brought this up to our server gently, expecting her to waive it, but she just acknowledged it and moved on. I imagine that her reaction was largely a product of cultural differences, but it wasn’t the resolution I wanted. I share this so that the restaurant can avoid surprising customers with this line item in the future.

J
James Thomson

Very overpriced. 3 dishes, a coke and a tea came to £90. The food was very average at that price. Many better value restaurants in the vicinity.

Y
Yegor

If you like cooked sushi, don't go here. They serve very authentic raw Japanese sushi.

P
Paulo Grilo

Not great, allowing someone to seat only to then let them know there is a booking in 15min. Not coming back.

J

Mediocre, yet expensive. On top of it, the service is bad. The waitress wasn't paying attention a lot of the time. It's nothing like the sushi you had in Japan. Awful
