PJ’S Chelsea Brasserie

A beautiful restaurant, the decoration comes from a World War I propeller as the fan. I can tell the owners of this restaurant to put a lot of effort into decorating this place, it has a old-fashioned British restaurant vibe to it. The food was delicious, we ordered a seafood linguine, usually the ones in London don’t have a lot of actual Seafood in the dish, however this one has a lot. Well cooked seafood, particularly king prawns and mussels with great flavour, and the linguine itself was hot, a bit soupy, it was probably the best one I’ve tried in London so far. On the other side, we ordered a steak, which was juicy, and perfectly cooked. The chunky fat chips were also delicious. Scallops as the starters were delicious too The servers have really great smiles, and really friendly. If I lived in the area, I would definitely be here all the time.

Loved this restaurant, cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, great vibe, great food and amazing super friendly staff. I really recommend trying their cottage pie. Will definitely be coming back!!

We visited PJ’s Chelsea Brasserie recently and really enjoyed our meal. We started with the Scotch carpaccio, which was a nice opener. For mains, we had the grilled sea bass fillet and the grilled Angus steak—both were absolutely delicious. Great quality ingredients and well-executed dishes. We’d happily go back!

Stunning spot: elegant polo-themed interiors with wood panelling, cosy booths, and that timeless sophisticated vibe that's been welcoming locals since 1990. The Sunday roast was outstanding – generous portions of tender meat, perfect Yorkshire puddings, crispy roasties, seasonal veg, and rich gravy. Everything felt high-quality and comforting. Service was exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly – they really make you feel looked after. Family notes: Children are very welcome (high chairs available on request), and the atmosphere is relaxed enough for families, especially for a special Sunday lunch. No dedicated kids' menu, but simpler options or smaller portions from the roast/brasserie classics work well for little ones. It can be a bit tricky manoeuvring prams/buggies due to the cosy layout and steps, but it's doable (staff are happy to help and can store prams if needed) – definitely worth the experience for a treat outing.

We had a fabulous birthday supper at PJ’s Exquisite food, it came very quickly. Our waiter Anton was absolutely incredible in every way. Very friendly and cheery, we loved that. The cocktails were divine!! Love Love Love!! Will be sure to come back

What can I say except that the food was simply stunning and the best we have had in a long time. My partner had the Sirloin steak with chips and pepper sauce and I had the Beer battered Cod, pea purée and chips, 10/10 for both. Desert did not disappoint either having the Belgian cake with salted caramel & a crème brûlée. Service was excellent and friendly with no delays at all. Thank you for an outstanding experience

Wow, i know its chelsea but the food here is incredible Me: lamb chops - delicious Holly: fish and chips, all incredible tastes. Mushy peas like you have never had them. Staff, Italians with italian hospitality. Attentove waiters and the manager Antonio lead by example. You WILL love it here!

PJ's hosted our company's Christmas dinner (26 ppl), and we were all very impressed with the party the team put on for us. Giuseppe was a delight to deal with right from our initial conversation, accommodating every request no matter how detailed, replying quickly and at all hours! On the night, the staff were so friendly and efficient, making sure every glass was full and everybody was catered for. We were all made to feel so welcome. The food hit the mark with plenty of options despite the size of our party. Everything arrived quickly and tasted great, an impressive feat! The standout of the evening really was the service and the venue; the mezzanine in PJs is spacious and nicely decorated, with a genuine old-school charm that you won't find often. I am almost hesitant to publish this review as I don't want PJ's to get booked up next Christmas before we can get in! Thanks for a great evening.

Had a great time here with friends. We came for the Bottomless brunch and I felt they made us wait quite a bit in between drinks. I understand the 1 drink per person rule but if you are going to give me a mimosa every 20 to 30mins then I would not call it bottomless. Great ambiance, good food, good service.

We always have such a wonderful evening at our annual visit to PJs every December (apologies for the very late review!). Food, drinks and service are always fantastic, and of special note this time was Anton who was utterly charming and looked after us so well. Had a lovely meal at PJ’s in Chelsea – the steak sandwich was perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavour, while the carpaccio was fresh and well-seasoned. Both dishes were simple but done really well, exactly what you want from a brasserie-style menu. The place has a cozy, relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in for a long lunch or casual dinner. It's one of my long-time favourites. We've been coming here since it opened in the 90s, and we have never been disappointed. I love the room, seasonal menu, and the most amazing staff. I've had just about the entire menu, and it's all delicious. The bbq prawns were big, and they served about eight pieces. We're going back to try the Eggs Benedict. It looked fantastic!

We were going nearby and we stopped thinking it was a coffee place. When we arrived we thought we were entering in a pub. As they were dog friendly it was perfect for us. It looks at first a bit an old pub, but the menu is a brasserie/bistrô style. We went dor a drink and got some pancakes. They were really nhami. Not super thick, so perfect to eat for breakfast. We went out for our event in Kings road, and when we finished we decided to come back here for lunch. The waitress saw us and welcome us back. When I mentioned if she could do the dame cocktail I had prior, I didn’t need to Mentioned anything else. This is amazing customer service. The food was lovely. Onion soup, truffle mac and cheese, eggs royal, curry. But the best for me was the scrambled eggs with chorizo. When we were leaving the girl even joke asking if we were coming back late. Definitely I recommended. And I plan to come when I am around. By the way the ceiling fan it is amazing

Together with my partner and our auntie, we went out to celebrate giving birth to my daughter Sophia. We found a free table at the restaurant. Just like the table was waiting for us and the lovely waiter George. He was beyond lovely, and his sense of humour made the evening even better. We ordered fish and chips, which was one of the best we had in the gastropub. The fish was crunchy and fresh, and mash peas were full of flavour. We also had a burger, which has been made up to my auntie requirements. I need to say she is very picky about her food. My partner had steak tatar as a starter, and unfortunately, it was the only downfall of the evening. As Eastern European in our culture is tatar as one of traditional meals back home. We keep it simple fresh shredded beef, chopped onion, chopped gurkins, egg yolk, salt, and pepper. Not mixed just on the plate you as customer can decide how much of everything you would like to mix together. You do not overwhelm your palette with sauses, etc. How surprised we were to have it served with sause and capers. I could not swallow it as taste was awful, same with my partner. George reacted straight when we told him that we were not happy with that dish. He asked the manager and took it off from our bill. I need to say it was our first ever visit at PJ'S, but it's definitely not the last one. Sometimes, people make the place lovely, and in this case, having George as part of your team makes customers come back and remember the place. P.S. My virgin mohito was refreshing and lovely. Nice to see a place where you can ask for a mocktail, and Barman is happy to fit your needs as you can't drink alcohol. Also, special recommendations for desserts (pistachio tiramisu is super delish). Overall, it was very pleasant going out! Thank you!

Absolute gem in Chelsea area! Received a warm welcome by manager Alberto, who helped us to choose best table for our meeting. We decided to share few of the starters and mains as it was our first visit. Our waitress Ludovica was just on point, considering all of our requests and allergies. Food is amazing! We had the best Shakshuka ever! Compliments to the Chef! Very lively atmosphere (was here on a Saturday afternoon). Nice offers on oysters (we had 12 jersey), you could also get a champagne with oysters deal. The seabass was quite good, I also had monkfish and prawn curry (though they serve it with cashew nuts which is quite a strange combination). They had quite a large drink menu with some original cocktails as well as popular ones. I tried the 'Chelsea Zombie' The service was very friendly and open. I would recommend and wouldn't mind revisiting.

PJs hosted our work Christmas party for 74 people, and we had an excellent evening. The venue looked beautiful, Giuseppe was fantastic from start to finish, the staff were attentive, and the food was great. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a lovely meal or a venue for an event. Thank you again!

The only thing that bothered me was a customer brought their really huge dog 🐕 (next to our table). Luckily we were able to find a different table. Because of allergies and other cultural issues, I think there should be an area specifically for customers with dogs. In that way, customers will not be concerned and even offended.

A perfectly cooked and presented roast beef for Sunday lunch. And delicious profiteroles and affogato for desserts. Polished, warm and friendly welcome and service in an elegant and comfortable decor.

PJ has a really relaxed pub-style environment that makes it easy to unwind. We went for brunch and had the Egg Royal, which was fresh, well cooked, and very enjoyable. The atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable, with friendly service that adds to the experience. A nice, easygoing spot in Chelsea for brunch .

Greta welcome from the staff, radu was very professional. We didn't like the started, truffle burrata and the carpaccio, not super. But we love the meat, perfect cooked and very tasty. We will definitely come back. Great experience

It had a nice atmosphere, a little loud!) The food wasn't as flavorful in terms of seasoning and flavor combinations as we usually prefer, but it was good 👍

Went there on date night and for the 50% off discount from the Fork App food festival. Service was good and the food is fantastic! Probably one of the best deals you can get for the quality of food and price. However, after asking twice to check about if there was any exclusions on the menu for the deal and being reassured that it was all fair game for the discount on the menu I ordered the tomahawk steak. It wasn’t clear on the menu that it was £45 per person and was charged £90 for a steak and sides. The steak was enough for one person if very Hungry and would have been lacking if it was for two. Mind boggles as to why on earth anyone would pay £90 for a steak whether split or not. The gratuity fee was £26 which is 13 % which I thought was very steep. Because the waitress was new and apparently didn’t realise about the steak fiasco I asked them to knock £10 off the gratuity but they took the whole lot off. £106 overall for 2 glasses of house red, starters and mains is still expensive for a meal out for 2 but considering it was in Chelsea I understand. Would I go back if there was a discount offered? Probably would. The staff were nice. I do think the food for a gastro pub is way over priced though, that being said it was lovely.

The food was very good paired with a warm atmosphere and flawless service. A true Chelsea gem, perfect for any occasion. I got the sea bass and fries which were both well cooked and flavourful. Highly recommended.

Located on a strategic position on Fulham Road, PJ's Chelsea is a very pleasant brasserie that offer a reasonably varied menu in a cosy and warm setting. All the dishes we tried were properly cooked and served, the service was kind and efficient and the prices are, considering the central location, acceptable. Recommended!

Came here on Sunday afternoon and got a nice and quiet space at the corner. The beef tartare starter was pretty good with the sauce and condiments to accompany it. Wife had Burrata and it was pretty fresh. Our main was a bit disappointed. My Sunday roasted beef was just too small portion, barely had much of the vegetables or sides with it. The shakshuka was pretty much tomato mixed up not too flavourful. We requested for more bread to accompany with the shakshuka but only came when we finished the dish. Overall the restaurant is pretty classic historical brasserie. Food wise could improve a little bit.

Intimate and cosy - a nice chateaubriand and some good wine. Service slow but friendly.

We came here to celebrate my birthday and had a good time overall. For starters we got the baked Camembert which we highly recommend! It was creamy, delicious and perfectly baked! We also got the burrata and tuna tartar which were good too however the tuna did not fully taste right. For mains we ordered a sirloin steak which came out just perfect, a grilled sea bass filet and Cod which were also both great and good portion sizes however I think the cod could have done with a bit more seasoning/ sauce. We also ordered the lamb rack (3 small cutlets overall) which were delicious but so small that even a child wouldn’t be full after eating them. They were the smallest lamb rack I’ve ever seen. For dessert our waitress recommended the pistachio tiramisu and chocolate fondant cake which were divine!! The service here was great and our waitress was attentive however the restaurant itself could do with an update as it was cramped and super noisy. We were shouting over each other to talk. Overall I’d give this place a 6/10.

Update Jan 2026 PJ's back on form for our most recent visit.Brilliant Lamb Chops and Sunday Chicken Roast.Excellent service and very cosy atmosphere. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PJ’s has been a staple on the Fulham Road since 1990 and serves brasserie food in a very comfortable, wooden-walled room with a central bar featuring a suspended wooden vintage aeroplane propeller. It’s the sort of place you cold just pop into for a quiet glass of something at the bar and linger for an hour or two or have a full on 3 course meal with all the trimmings. We reserved a corner table, in person, in advance but when we arrived it had already been taken, much to our disappointment, but the staff were apologetic about this admin error, and we were soon relaxing in the very comfortable “Old English” atmosphere. Nowadays I am used to asking for burgers to be cooked medium-rare only to be told that only well done is served. It may be that the meat is originally frozen or not minced on the premises but two of us asked for the duck breast to be cooked pink (after all, why wouldn’t we?) but were told the duck was only served well done. So we all opted for the Rack of Lamb asking (nay, pleading) that it at least would be served pink. There was some hesitation, but the order went down to the kitchen as requested. The lamb was very tasty - served with dauphinoise potatoes, tenderstem broccoli (one solitary stick only though) and red onion confit but nowhere near pink. We quaffed an excellent bottle of Sixty Clicks’ Shiraz Mataro Victoria wine (£29) and for dessert we had the Salted Caramel Crème Brulee and very nice ice cream. The ice cream was a nice surprise as I so often dine in restaurants at both ends of the price spectrum where I am met with a choice of chocolate, strawberry or vanilla. Here we had Pistachio, Caramel and Blood Orange flavours. A treat. The menu at PJ’s is very extensive (the table next to ours indulged in an enormous tray of delicious looking oysters) and I am sure most items on the menu will do you proud, but the whole “no pink” thing and the lack of attention to booking requests left a hint of “what could have been”.

The oysters were excellent, and the service was decent. However, the lobster pasta was disappointing, with only five small pieces of lobster, requiring me to savor each bite. The steak, ordered medium, was tough and not enjoyable. On the positive side, the fish and chips and the salmon salad were both delicious. We chose this restaurant because of the 50% off deal through The Fork app and its convenient location; otherwise, I would have preferred to dine elsewhere. Additionally, the seating was cramped, and the adjacent table was uncomfortably close despite the available space. .

I was quite disappointed with this place. Ordered the surf and turf which was £85pp, you get steak, lobster, prawns, chips, salad and sauces. Presentation is great, however the lobster was over cooked (chewy), bland and dry, prawns was not cleaned properly and also dry and bland. Heck even the bread we got for starters was chewy. The steak was delicious as was the desserts and drinks. Service did not warrant service charge esp as it was not busy, I would go back to get the steak again or try another dish. So glad we booked on the Fork app as we got 50% off the food. The bill was £200+ spilt evenly between 3. Also if you’re allergic to shell fish make sure you say as they cook the chips in the seafood oil.

Really disappointing French onion soup and the worst pardon peppers I’ve ever eaten. I’m no wine expert but it’s the first glass of Chardonnay I can remember not finishing. The question “How is everything?” Asked in a restaurant is a tough one. I bottled an honest reply and said “Fine” Staff were nice though and nice music

3 out of 4 meals were ok. None as good as good as past visits. 3 fillet steaks were ordered and 1 PJ Burger. Two of the fillet steaks came ordered (medium well). One of those came as desired, the other was overcooked to beyond well done and completely brown, dry and charred. Requested a replacement and was recommended to go for medium by the waiter/ manager. After waiting 20 minutes, was brought over a piece that was just seared on the outside and fully rare throughout. Was completely rare and not even close to medium. The 3rd steak was requested to be made as medium also came as desired. The place was not busy at all so there was no excuses to lose track of cooking time by lack of concentration. Requested for the manager who was extremely rude and derogatory. Whilst the matter was resolved on the bill, the lack of respect from the lady manager and the fact they were not able to cook a steak properly has let it down this time. My understanding is that they've had a change of ownership in the last few months. I've not been here for about a year but was a regular for 20 years without issue prior. Not sure if it was just a one off experience or the start of its demise, but not impressed with the recent visit. Only time will tell and future reviews.

Lovely waiter and a beautiful location, but possibly the worst fry up I’ve ever eaten and the worst meal I’ve had in years - and that incudes plane food. The fried eggs were so overcooked the yolk was solid, the black pudding disintegrated except for the copious fat chunks, the bacon was so hard it was unchewable, and even the tea was flavourless. I understand restaurants don’t always have their best staff the weekend after Christmas, but there was literally nothing redeemable about this meal. At £50 for two, I feel ripped off and I’m still hungry.

I had dinner event at this place, food was ok although for 3 course at the pub pre set menu 54£ was very expensive for what it is, and chairs was very uncomfortable , seats very tight less the 40cm per person on the table ....tight & uncomfortable,also was shocked by 14% service charge at the bar!! They charged me £2 extra to pour one glass of wine, this is shocking- although I was not very happy for overcharging, bar tender didn't care much and she was not pleasant ether. So please bare that in mind that you will be charged 14% at the bar. £15 for a grass of wine already ridiculous price plus £2 mandatory tip!! Not a good value for a money. I would avoid this place, there is better ones in this area.

Never eat at any empty restaurant. My bad !!! Should have known better. Was walking through Chelsea and made the mistake of stopping to use the washroom and then ordered the tomahawk steak. Very poor, charred and burnt on the outside and grizzled and fatty and difficult to eat on the inside. When bill was delivered I found out the price which was already egregious for the quality was per person based on two people. Blatant subterfuge from the wait staff !! I paid premium for an experience that was miles from mediocre. Again, never eat at any empty restaurant !! I was blatantly misled by wait staff. Ambience, building and food have years of work to even be sub par by first world standards.

It was our last evening in London and I arrived about 5 minutes before my wife and daughter. There were several open tables for 4 and when I walked in, there was no host/ess or process for seating evident. I chose a table in the corner and was soon greeted by a waiter who asked if I would like to order a drink. I said that my family would arrive shortly and that I would wait for them. A few minutes later, just before they arrived, a staff member told me that the table at which I was seated was reserved and that she would find me another table. There were several other tables, so that was no problem. When my family arrived, we all sat and reviewed the menu and noticed that we were being actively ignored (lots of passing staff, including the person who moved me, and no eye contact). After about 15 minutes of not even a greeting in a mostly empty restaurant, we decided to leave. This was a very inhospitable establishment on this particular evening and we will not be returning.

I ordered french onion soup and cesar salad through uber eats. Absolutely disgusting. I font know how a restaurant can be selling this to people. It was nothing like the picture. The cesar had only lettuce and stale toast in it and a very low quality mayo, not even a proper cesar sauce. The French onion soup had only onions and fluid, nothing like the picture. It all went in the bin.
