Food is good. Very friendly people. The drink specials are awesome. The wait staff is great with my son always giving him something as we leave.
We were traveling through the area and stayed at the Super 8 next door. So glad we tried this place. We ended up going back a second night. Friendly service, great food and best happy hour margaritas!
Excellent food and nice interior. Got the enchiladas and they made a spicy red sauce for them for me and it was excellent, also got the chile relleno and they put ground beef on top and white queso on top too for me. Was also excellent. Highly recommend, chips and salsa were good too
Donovan is soo amazing! We go so often he knows are drink order amd most of our order before we even order it!
Food was excellent and service was even better! The fajita chicken and beef was juicy and tender! Food was out in a timely manner, and drink glass never got empty, will definitely return!
Stopped in and stayed at the QT. Our server Donovan was absolutely amazing, great attitude, great service, great food. The only problem was the heat in the building. AC needs worked on. We will definitely stop back though.
The food was amazing! Cooked just right and tasted great! The service was excellent and our waiter was very sweet and prompt. Definitely will add this place to our date night list.
This is probably our favorite Mexican food in town. My daughter always gets the California burrito, and I like to get something new every time. They have a huge menu with a hundred options! We usually get the street tacos to go as a snack for later, and their white queso is really good.
Ordered fajita nachos with beef and chicken, took home to-go box with enough toppings for two more meals and it was delicious. Waiter was friends and excellent at his job, never had to ask for drink refills because he kept our glasses filled. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for good Mexican food over the local more known chain places.
We come here on average once a week. You can tell they make their own salsa, which is always waiting for you as soon as you sit down. Everything on the menu is well-made, and the service is speedy.
Came in on a whim and with a gift certificate. We were greeted immediately at the door and seated right away. A hostess immediately supplied us with chips and salsa. Then came the best part. Perla. She was the friendliest, most knowledgeable server ever. EVER. She knew the entire menu top to bottom and was very courteous when I quizzed her. Refills perfectly done, napkins without asking and a smile through the entire process. Now to the food. There are no words to describe how picky my wife and I have become on food and service but let me tell you this food was immaculate. Hot, authentic, savory and unique. Full of flavor and not the same old same old " authentic mexican" you have become used to. We devoured our dishes (helping each other) along with our daughter who "doesn't like Mexican food" emptied her plate. This review was worth my time just like this fine establishment is worth yours. From perfect prices, friendly smiles and perfect portions your wallet, stomach and family will be begging for more! 1000% recommend! Chris, Shelby and Abbi Willhaus
This place is fabulous! Great food fresh and hot and plenty of. Margaritas primo and a variety of flavors and sizes
We just ate there for the first time. The fajitas were really good and love those big beers. Friendly and efficient waiter. Great meal for a good price. We're going back.
Well Rancho is usually very good but I guess everyone has an off night. And it was way off. Will I go back. You betcha
One of my favorite places to eat! Food is always fantastic! The hot sauce is one of the best I've ever had. The Margaritas are always delicious as well! I have always had good service.
Have been going to this place for years always the bomb I love it. Our go-to wish they handled big groups better. They only split the check into 2 with the party of 10 or more. But I know they'll figure it out still worth it.
Great food and prices. They could use more staff
The best street tacos!! The tongue tacos are far better than ANY beef taco I’ve ever had. First time I tried tripe taco, and they were amazing! Can’t wait to make my way back!
Great food. Friendly staff and the manager is very helpful and courteous whenever a problem does arise. Decent priced food. Their is a bar but I haven't drank at this place before. I'd recommend trying.
Fantastic Margaritas! We always sit at the bar and have nachos, queso with beef. We typically order the El Patron! WOW, it's Fabulous! You can enter via the I 30 access road or from highway 69 just south of I 30. Cant wait for our next visit!
I've been on a lifelong search for the best fajitas and I've found them here! Seriously, the flavoring is simply the best. I used to love tamollys, went there for almost 20 yrs but since trying Rancho V I haven't been back to tamollys, I go here at least once a week! Excellent service and waitstaff, great chips and spicy salsa and oh, those fajitas!
We love this place. We don't live in Greenville but I make excuses to go so we can eat here. Always get the chicken chorizo nachos my favorite. But tonight I tried the special for the night, shrimp and veggies. It was awesome. Great service great fiod
So good! Food and drinks are amazing- this was the first time we came and there will be a next! (:
Came in from out of town, quick Google search and found this place. Hands down amazing service and really good food.
Love this place! Best Authentic Mexican food in Greenvile, HANDS DOWN! The wait staff is amazing. The Margaritas are tops!!! The fried ice cream is TO-DIE-FOR and it won't cost you an arm and a leg either!
My first time eating at this restaurant. I have to say,"what a wonderful place to eat and have a drink. Staff/Employee's are very nice people. Oh...The food is on point. Mmm Mmm Goooood. I will be coming back for sure. For the record: The Food Is Worth The Pay!!!
Our host and waitress were both very personable. The chips and beverages came out quickly. Food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for such a great meal!
This Restaurant, hands down, has the Absolute Best ✌ Pork Street Tacos I've ever had. That's my 'go to' quick lunch or dinner order. Call them & fifteen minutes later it's ready to go. While eating in or on the go you guys are Fantastic.
I have been working in the area for about 3 weeks. Rancho Viejo was convenient to where I was staying, so I went there on day 1. The service was great, and so was the atmosphere and food. I continued to go at least every other night. I would bring co-workers with me and we would relax and enjoy a good meal, or set at the bar and watch the NBA playoffs (and also enjoy good food and service). I highly recommend Ranch Viejo!
Totally enjoyed my visit here! Absolutely wonderful food! Pleasant staff. Large portions of very good food. Nice atmosphere. The staff was very attentive but still maintained our tables privacy and quiet.
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the DFW area! I drive an hour to get to this restaurant. I have eaten at Ranch Viejo at least 40 times, and have tried a variety of dishes. I haven't had a bad meal yet. If this restaurant were in Dallas, I would eat there at least once a week. By the way, the food is usually on your table within 10 minutes. Tasty, tasty, tasty! My entire family has the same option of this restaurant. If you haven't eaten at this restaurant, you are missing out.
New to the area, been here twice, it's better every time. Just haven't found a favorite dish yet, they're all good. Prices are very fair
Rancho is A locally/family owned operation in Greenville. The food here is excellent, try the fajitas. The service is typically good and everyone has good professional attitudes with customers. I've only ever seen them get annoyed with one "customer." He came in and ate the chips and salsa with a glass of water and acted like he was going to order but didn't then left. I've never had anything that I would want to complain about. It does get pretty noisy when there's a lot of people. They have a covered patio that is nice to sit in, but it's really for smokers. One of two restaurants in town that has that separate seating area for folks who want to light up. They keep the restrooms cleaned and stocked. There are also another set of sinks outside the restrooms, so no one has an excuse to have dirty hands in the restaurant. Now, if you are bilingual that will help because some of the staff are still learning English. Hey, I said it's authentic. With my family of four our bill ranges from $40 to $60 depending on what we order. I recommend this place over all the "tex-mex" places in town.
First time here! It was wonderful! Chile Relleno was so good!
Been coming here for years!! Best margaritas in town (especially for the price) and I really enjoy their food too. It seems a bit more authentic Mexican rather than TexMex, so keep that in mind. The staff has always been friendly and take good care of you. Great place all around!
So this is my fifth dinner here. I've ordered several different dishes and all I can say is hands down best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Skip Ta Molly's and don't waste your time at Pancho's. The price is fair for what you order. The service is unmatched. You deserve to treat yourself so don't sell yourself short on fake food. This is the real deal!
My sister and brother-in-law eat here all the time and we wanted to treat them for helping us with some stuff this past weekend. Margarita's are very good. The food was good, although not as spicy as tex mex.
Picture... a bed of tortilla chips, topped with beans, meat, cheese, bell peppers and onions. Fajita Nachos... not the Tex-Mex individual crap... REAL FAJITA NACHOS! I've been working so hard to find a place that sold this correctly.
This has been a favorite hangout of mine for years, and a recent visit showed that the food has regained its former top-notch status. The tortillas are crisp, the margaritas are delightfully sweet, the chips are crunchy, the salsa was perhaps a bit fierier than I remember it, the meats are succulent are flavorful, and the cheese is gooey. What more could you ask for? Good to see this place has its old spark back. Definitely a notch or two above standard Tex-Mex fare.
Always a great escape. Surprised I don't see more customers. Food is delicious
This place was great! We loved everything! We were promptly seated upon arrival (the host had a grumpy face - they should choose a host who will smile and welcome guests, but I let that go), chips and salsa right away, drink orders taken immediately. We asked for spicy salsa and it was amazing! If I had to critique, I would wish for just a bit more flavor, but the spice was great and we loved it!! Our server was friendly, attentive, and informative, made no mistakes on orders. Excellent service! The food was very good, very flavorful, perfectly done. I have no complaints, it was extremely enjoyable. The only comment I'll make is that they need sharp knives!! My dull and pathetic knife would NOT cut my carne asada, a thin strip of steak. I tried 2 other knives, just in case mine was just dull, and they were all useless. Literally would not cut the meat. I ended up ripping it apart with my hands. Oh well. The atmosphere was pleasant and Mexican-styled. This was a great place to eat, highly recommended!
Stopped by on my way through town and was quite pleased. Solid TexMex menu but the food I ate seemed to have a little more authentic Mexican flair than most TexMex does - real flavors and textures in the beans and guac, shredded beef in the chimichanga (yes I know the chimichanga is not authentic Mexican, but I went to a TexMex restaurant for a reason), and very fresh tasting salsa. Service for me was quick, which was great since I was traveling. Happy hour beer price is fantastic.
The food was okay but I've had much better, the waitress couldn't understand english, I asked for a lime and she tried to bring me a margarita..smh..
Excellent service, very delicious menu items, and management makes sure that customers are satisfied. Located on the frontage road just before McDonalds.
The fajitas were excellent. Good steak and big portions. The staff was attentive.
Been going here for years. Good food. Good service. Good place to go all around.
We have been coming here for over 10 years. Food is always good and service is amazing. We always ask for Donovan. He is our favorite and long time server. He is very attentive and kind. He also makes the best micheladas
The grilled chicken quesadilla was excellent and the Texan margarita was one of the best I've had on my trip. The service was top notch and it's quiet. Great place!!!
Coming from Dallas, we're used to great Mexican food. We've tried several places in Sulphur Springs and Mount Pleasant when we travel this way but haven't found anything decent until Rancho Viejo in Greenville. We were very impressed with the food and service there. I judge every Mexican restaurant by the chips and salsa and this place passed the test. The beef, cheese and bean enchiladas were all delicious (though I'd pass on the chicken next time) and my husband really liked the guisada (Chile Colorado). He also loved the 32 oz Dos XX draft for only $6.39. Friendly and attentive servers and the prices were good. We'll be back next time we drive through Greenville!
Chips and salsa were good. I enjoyed my burrito, but my husband said his chimichanga wasn’t that good. I didn’t taste it, so I just took off one star. The service was good too.
My girlfriend and i stopped in about an hour before closing , I had already eaten but she was hungry so I ordered a beer and she got the nachos . After she worked on them a while she told me to eat some I'm getting full . The nachos were great , piled with everything I have ever seen on a nacho . The few other times I have eaten there were very good also.
We enjoyed the food. Service was attentive. Only issue they were fixing a booth right next to us. Was very loud and distracting.
Service was ok. The food came very quick after ordering. Everything was hot and as ordered. Salsa was on the hotter side.
Very friendly, super fast! Great people! Loved the atmosphere!!!
The white cheese is amazing as always! And the servers up there are great! A go to local mexican restraunt, my favorite!
This is a great little restaurant. Food was good, the beer was cold and the waitress was friendly
Fox was great, atmosphere was nice.. wait staff was less than expected, had to hunt them down as opposed to them checking in on customers, since there was maybe 12 of us in the restaurant at the time.
Went here after church on a Sunday. They got really busy. Service was ok. Food was great!
Great happy hour special (5-9 PM everyday), good service, and tasty food. The sides/appetizers are a little pricey, but overall not too expensive. Portions make most plates shareable.
Food was good, I'm a waitress of 34 yrs and to take 20 minutes to get a refill is bad. Carnitas are good, not a lot of fat on the meat. Salsa is always my first clue if it's a good place to eat. Most Mexican restaurants salsa taste like tomato sauce. Yours passed the test. Not the best I had but 2nd best. Work on your customer service though.
#36 chimichanga/shedded beef. The salsa was just spicy and chunky enough to stand on chip. The chips were crispy and warm. Food was hot! The beans were delicious and not creamed. The rice was fluffy not too dry not too wet, seasoned well. The chimichanga was beefy and flavorful. A little small but just enough. Guacamole salad, crisp fresh lettuce, smooth sour cream, and guacamole was not pureed with the right amount of chunk as well. Comfortable booth. Clean bathroom and dinning room. Host and server on point.
The food quality has drastically declined since its opening. The fajitas are now thin slices of beef that doesn't have any flavor. It's also served with a lot of onions and bell peppers, to cover that there is less meat The Aztec soup was served luke warm
Atmosphere was nice. Employees very professional. Our waiter was very good. Even though he was extremely busy. He would have your drinks filled before you asked. Some of our food was good. But small portions for the price. We could cut or chew the steak though. Bathrooms very clean looking
Waited 15 minutes before i got up and asked if a waiter was gonna come help us when i got up and went to ask and finally someone came. And it is not busy at all here. Told her twice i wanted sweet tea and still got unsweet. I can see where this is going. Food came out fast. Michelada is good and the tea. Hubby got carne asada which had more onions and a piece of thin meat that was tough. I got chili colorada that was really good. The only reason for the 3 stars is because of waiting for a waiter.
I ate it because I was hungry. There was no seasoning in the ground beef, or in the guacamole. The charros tasted like straight jalapeños. They also over charge for drinks and I had to tell the server to bring straws, water, refills and side items... The chips have a nice texture.
Up until tonight, this has been has been one of our favorites in Greenville. Much of the food has been going down hill for a while, the authentic seems more like canned or frozen, but tonight was the straw that broke the camel's back. We recognize that times are tough right now for many in the service industry, so when I asked my wife this evening where she wanted to eat she specifically said she wanted to support Rancho Viejo. The server was quick to take our drink order, but we had to ask a different server to let our's know that we were ready to place our order 20 minutes after getting our drinks. I had the enchiladas supreme, she ordered grilled chicken quesadilla. Server asked for clarification on the quesadilla, she responded just regular grilled chicken quesadilla. When the the food came out, my dish looked and tasted like it came right out of a TV Dinner tray. Her quesadilla at first glance was a huge appetizing creation, but as she dug into it, it looked more like they threw the leftovers from making chicken fajitas on a huge tortilla, folded it over, toasted it and served. It was a big soggy mess. She had never had the quesadillas here, so she didn't question it. When the check came, we realized that the server took it upon himself to upgrade her grilled chicken quesadilla to the fajita quesadilla which was not what she asked for and cost about $5 more. When she confronted him, he denied any wrong doing, insisted that this is what she ordered. I wasn't too concerned because I knew the owner was standing near by listening to everything. The owner, who I was certain would intervene, just left to go hide. If you find yourself in this place, be sure to order by number, better yet, go a little further down to Tamale's, also local owned and far better food, just a little more crowded and no smoking area.
It lacks flavor and seasoning food ... for me they need to offer more natural things, for example the lemonade must be natural ... if you offer it bottled soda and the thing is not going well. The waiter who served me very well Always asking me what I needed more, reasonable prices. The menus menu with a lot of things to offer but it looks and feels dated and old ... an update would not hurt
I questioned the quality just by the looks of the interior. Sometimes that isn’t a given. However, when we needed a couple extra minutes to look over the menu and our waitress didn’t present herself again for 10 minutes - we almost decided to leave. She showed up in the nick of time. I ordered the chili Colorado. The flavor was ok but the meat was full of gristle. The rice was very dry. The bathroom facilities were also questionable. We had a less than desirable experience.
On the outside it is a nice enough building it looks bright friendly do not follow Google's directions the only entrance is directly off of the eastbound I-30 Service Road there is no way in from Highway 69 as for that the quality of food really wasn't that spectacular I had the enchilada combo chicken beef bean and cheese very flavorless the salsa and chips flavorless as for Mexican food I've had better at Taco Bell it's a really Building inside bright lots of seating it may have something to do with the location hard to get into hard to get out of I don't really recommend it. I want people to know I like food different types of food Italian Mexican Chinese Japanese French I've even had the Lebanese flavors of countries our understanding the life of the people. Now having said this my meal was an enchilada combo beef chicken cheese and beans they were extremely small and flat no flavor whatsoever the only reason I knew I was eating a chicken enchilada it was chunks of chicken in it it was topped with nothing but lettuce and sour cream I've never had enchiladas without unique sauce on top of each one pertaining to the flavor of the enchilada. There was no Spanish rice no refried beans. And it was $13 for four little tiny enchiladas. There is a picture of my meal on the page see for yourself thank you
Food was nasty. It tasted like canned food. Doesn’t even taste close to Mexican food. I would rate it 0 if possible. Service was also bad not once did they check on us. definitely never going back. Molinas and Mariachis 10000% time better.
Chicken fajitas tasted like the pre-made fajitas in a bag that you purchase at the grocery store. No flavor. Refried beans were dry and the guacamole was soupy and bland. They only offer corn or flour tortillas-not a mix. I will not be going back a second time.
Wow. Just wow. Where do I start? Summary: Worst service and presentation of food in my life. I'm still in shock writing this as its been more than week since this happened. They want to overcharge you and get seriously rude when you try to get a solution! Not only that, the food looks so disgusting I'm surprised we didn't get sick. I'm not sure why this place has good reviews. My husband and I were starving and I really felt like Tex-Mex. We pulled into the Two Senoritas across the highway but noticed this little restaurant had better reviews so we thought we would give it a try. Boy do we laugh about that now. Our experience in a nutshell. We were charged for a plate of $9 nachos that we didn't eat because it was so fatty and disgusting with a pound of butter and peppers. I wish I would have taken a picture. We were argued with for politely requesting help! My husband was explaining the situation and the server, or manager, or whoever he said he was, told my husband that he was being rude and needs to communicate better! Side notes to mention: Chips were delivered to us half empty The menu was very dirty (with hairs on the plastic) We had two servers, both of which never introduced themselves. We were not sure who was the actual server and who was just helping, but we were nice to both of them. Here is the scoop: The nachos came out, and so did my husband's steak. However, my nachos were like a small pile of chips piled with fatty meat and probably a pound of peppers and it looked like butter was poured all over it. It was ridiculous. Seeing that this was definitely not typical nachos, and I couldn't eat any of this fatty meat without having a heart attack. It was disgusting and very unpleasant. To sum it up: I wanted something else since I only had a bite of the nachos, and instead of making a switch, I was told that I would pay for both without someone telling me that would be the case before I ordered the tacos. There's more: The two servers were confusing as they never made an introduction of themselves and we didn't know who we were talking to. Instead of asking me what was wrong with them, they took them away and I asked for something else as I was hungry. Next told to my face with a smile that I would pay for both. Other server said, since I didn't tell him what was wrong, then there was nothing he could do but I should have told him. That server said that he would get a manager, then out comes the other server who said that there wasn't a manager here, and then finally claimed boldly that he was the manager. UMMM... what? Instead of focusing on our experience as customers, they were focused on throwing insults at us, telling me what I should have said when I sent my food back instead of offering to fix it, and being condescending for a measly little $20 meal. Needless to say, my husband and I laughed at this, but the management here is seriously lacking. I don't always agree with the customer either, but when your food has too much peppers, not enough chips, and way too much butter (to the point you want to vomit), well they should be providing something different. Not charging for both, throwing insults at you and your husband, and causing me to be fearful as I thought they were going to get into a fight! Last: The "manager" claimed that he recorded our conversations- I hope they did. But what is this kind of behavior? I have to think that it comes from that we are not from the area and were very well dressed (to go to an event)? We didn't even get to eat our food and we still paid for it. Please, don't give this business any money or your time. Oh and btw, Two Senoritas is across the hwy! :) Signed, April
Unfortunately I love Mexican food but won't go back my wife fajita meat was as chewy as beef jerky and my enchiladas were cold. The server didn't bother checking in on us when our drinks were empty for almost 20 min just to make sure the people drinking alcohol got theirs refilled before even empty... an no its not cause they were busy only 4 total tables with people at them in the whole place..
our waitress padded my bill ,charged me a " resturaunt tax" as she called it, this was on top of the regular taxes that were already included on my bill and she got very irate when I asked her about it and told me that was the way they did things that they always charged resturaunt taxes with regular taxes and that her manager said to do it, rather than continue to fight with her about it and getting very upset myself I just paid the approximately 25$ in fees and added charges and left , I was a good customer before then I have not and will not ever go back, there are way too many mexican food resturaunts to chose from in greenville to tolerate that. The experience was awful. I recommend by passing this restaurant and going to Molina's or Mariachis instead.
Brought my family here for a family outing. Immediately regretted taking them here, there was 7 of us in our party and the staff tried cramming us at a small table. We settled with it because at this point we were starving. My fiance and mother in law ordered frozen Margaritas that were weak as hell and tasted like soap. Now I'm not sure about everyone else but i always can tell the quality of a Tex-Mex restaurant by the quality of there chips and hot sauce. The chips were stale and the hot sauce was just terrible. On top of all that the customer service was just as bad, defiantly my first and last time coming here. Back to the drawing board fellas.
I don't even want to give it a 1. Maybe a negative 1. So they could not take care of our party of 24. Although we had reservations. Said that they couldn't split checks. Ridiculous! We called El Fenix while still there. They came through for us and food was great and our waiter was even better.
First time I have eaten at this restaurant will be my last. I was banking online and saw that they charged us twice for our meal. I understand mistakes happen, but when I called them they asked me to bring in my bank statement to prove to them I wasn't lying (their words). I called the same day we ate there so it would have been very easy for them to go through their records to find their mistake, but they were unwilling to do that. I guess it is easier to accuse your paying customers of lying in the hopes they live too far away to come back in to dispute the charge than it is to do the right thing - fix your mistake - and keep that paying customer coming back. Does anyone understand what customer service means anymore?
Was working in rockwall yesterday and as I passed through Greenville I craved some good authentic Mexican food (as I usely do). Got a motel room and was recommended that this was the best place for authentic Mexican food. Stopped by to try them out. Was in the mood for quesadillas. Asked my waiter what he recommended since they didn't have pastor. He recommended the super quesadillas. Order and was very disappointed!! It was about 98% bell peppers.. Onions...cheese and tortilla. There was maybe 3 bites of chicken in it!! Payed over 16$ for a veggie quesadilla and sweet tea!! Of course I left a tip as I alway's do. Never will eat here again!!
Attempted to visit on Aug 4th and Aug 5th, of 2019. We cannot attest to the food, but feel obligated to testify to our treatment. As we stayed at nearby "Super 8 hotel", Sunday we went to dine there; we were turned away with "no room"as an excuse, yet there was a whole section empty except the 3 secluded with a picture of beer. The second night we went, 45 minutes before closing, they shut off the outside lights as we approached the door. We can not help but feel rejected for our race. Will not try again.
Horrible experience!!!! Called an order in for four tacos on flour tortilla with everything on the side and it was completely done the opposite way!!! They gave me corn tortillas and put everything on the tacos!!!
Have been going to this restaurant for the last 6 or 7 years. It is a good place to eat unless you have an issue with one of your drinks or your food. Had 3 or 4 incidents in the last 2 years. This last one was by far the worst, My wife water to street tacos the meat was not cooked all the way. We told our waiter he said there is nothing that can do but it we still had to pay for the food. The waiter walked by 3 or 4 times ask me my want to refill every single time I said yes. When we went to pay out he had charged me every time he refilled my cup. So needless to say our bill was over $60 for food that we did not eat for refills that he offered for. The worst part was when I was talking to the waiter as we are cashing out he started to raise his voice. Never again will we go to Rancho Viejo. WORST customers service we have ever received.
This place was terrible...we got 2 fajita lunch specials a taco salad lunch special and a kids taco plate and a small cup of queso it was $60. The prices on the menu do not reflect on the menu prices on the website. The menu I was given was an old menu and I was charged a different in price at the register. My daughter got ranch for her taco salad and the ranch was expired and tasted terrible. The manager was advised and had one of his servers bring out the wholesale tub of ranch out for me to try. I told her I didn't need to try it I already had . I reqythr salad and ranch be taken off my tab and was NOT accommodate d. If I could give zero stars I would
Had the fajitas and meat was wrong so it was chewy. Rice was crunchy. Chicken was dry. Not going back.
So as I am sitting here , I'm writing this review... I was seated and left there for 30 minutes and ignored, I have always like coming here until now. We had to go to the kitchen to ask if someone would take our order, then we still waited, not even an apology for the less than acceptable service. It's a shame the food is usually good.
I went to have lunch, based on recommendations from other people in Greenville. When I arrived with my legitimate, real Service Dog, they refused me entrance to the dining area. They said I could eat out on the cover dining area outside (57 degrees and falling with a 15 mph north wind straight into the space). When I tried to explain that my dog is a real service dog I was talked over, raised hand in front of me, and told I wasn’t allowed to be in there. I started to explain that the ADA and Texas state accessibility standards are in force and I was legally allowed access and equivalent accommodation. I was truly trying to educate. I was once again cut off, with a curt attitude. I then informed them that they were in violation of the law and they didn’t care. I said I am leaving and will report your action to the State of Texas. I have never complained before, anywhere, for much of anything. I don’t feel “entitled”, but I need a service dog. If I was in a wheel chair or had crutches, would you have told me to eat outside!? Your staff, owner and managers need to become aware of the law. You violated it today. I will never darken your door again, and I will let the several thousand people I know to never try your place as well. It was the dismissive attitude and rudeness.
Service was good but Disappointed with food. Sunday lunch fajitas did not taste good. Beans tasted like they were going bad, brown color on lettuce, rice was dry, chips were ok but broken in pieces. Overall: Ok restaurant 😒
I’m giving 1 star reluctantly.I would go back for the drinks. The food was by far mediocre. I ordered a vegetarian plate. I think they used chicken broth in the spinach, I was quite sick. Guacamole can not even be called that in my opinion, smashed avocado maybe. Our service was great, sat on the patio it was quiet.
