I never met Tony, but it felt like I did. The staff is full of life and made the evening feel more like a night out with your friends. We sat next to a roaring fire and chatted the sweet hymns of savory food selection. Speaking of savory, I can't remember the name of what I ordered but it was packed with juicy cuts of chicken and sausage, satisfying my protein obsession! I've placed a couple of pics for your enjoyment. Additionally, I praise the J House for their multi-facet establishment. We got a deep tissue massage and dinner under the same roof. Both to our expectations.... Til next time, Tony! -joe

This was my first time having dinner at Tony’s. Restaurant is beautifully decorated with low lighting and has a gorgeous terrace. For appetizers, our table ordered the Fried Burrata with Prosciutto which was absolutely delicious. For my entree, I ordered one of their specials of the day which was Beef Wellington w/ a side of roasted vegetables & mashed potatoes. The Steak was cooked & seasoned to perfection. Mashed potatoes were decadent. Desert was also phenomenal, I ordered their Peach Crumble which was perfectly balanced, not too sweet or tart. Tony was going around the restaurant talking to all the guests which is a nice touch, love to see the owner interacting with the guests. Our waiter was also very friendly & attentive, forgot his name but he is the tall Gentleman from Bolivia. In conclusion, very nice atmosphere with amazing food & service.

I must say Tony's at The J House really impressed. The atmosphere is amazing. The service was impeccable and paid attention to detail. The food was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were delicious and the wine list was amazing. Many choices of appetizers and salads. The shellfish from the raw bar was very fresh and well prepared. The steaks were cooked perfectly to temperature and the choice of sides were plentiful. Dessert was absolutely to die for. We had the Nutella Filled french toast topped with hazelnut gelato and maple syrup. All in all I must say Tony's at the J House did not disappoint and I will definitely be a return customer and I highly recommend giving them a try.

We came in for dinner on Saturday and had a great time. The decor is very over the top with a 2 glass fireplaces and interesting art work. The menu offers a variety of dishes including traditional Italian, steak and sushi. We had sushi for our appetizers and pasta as our main course. The sushi was very fresh and a way great way to start our meal. The penne a la vodka was absolutely delicious! The portions here are very generous, we were stuffed but decided to order the lava cake for dessert which was a great choice.

What an entertaining dinner experience! We ate there starting at 6:15 on a Monday night, which seems to be the move, because it gets pretty busy with large tables later on. Tony, the owner, made sure he met every single person in that restaurant. Just coming back for him is enough. But let alone the food -- SO GOOD. The food, the wine, even the complimentary bread, all top of the line. I also appreciate that even though its on the pricier side, they don't skimp out on portions. I still had enough pasta for 1.5 more meals. This is definitely a special occasion place (at least for me), but I would definitely come back. Also, Tony gave us 2 shots of tequila on the house before we left.

Great ambience, excellent food and service. The Chilean sea bass was amazing and they have really good sushi as well! The selection of cocktails was also supreme. We then hit up the bar and it was very active for Thursday night. What a great time!

Beautiful restaurant with great service and staff! The wine selection is also very good. They have nice cuts of meat but I never tried them, I always go there for the pasta. It’s perfect! Truffle Tagliatelle is the best pasta I ever had! Gnocchi bolognese is also amazing! The Giant meatball as an appetizer is a must! It gets very crowned at night, beautiful people sophisticated location!

At there last night for a friends party. There were 13 of us. Food was very good. I found my entree , Chilean sea bass, to be much better than the appetizers. Drinks were light on the pours but overall good. My first Manhattan appeared to be shaken so was not happy with that. Picture is after I started eating….

Great time and great food! The owner Tony is so personable. He spends time with EVERYONE who visits and is full of trivia questions that he asks and comes back later to see if you figured it out. I asked for a vegetarian/vegan option as the was none on the menu. I spoke directly to the chef who made me a plate that included ratatouille (usually served as a side for another entree), over risotto with some beautiful and delicious vegetables.😍 We will go back again. Great find! It felt posh and trendy for all ages and they had a DJ in one of the bar areas as it was a Friday night.

I’ve been here twice now. The ambiance is super cute with foe leaves and greenery wrapped around fixtures and hanging from the ceiling. Cute lighting that sets the mood for a nice date night or cute dinner with friends. Staff is attentive and provide helpful drink and food suggestions. They always have some really good dinner specials on the menu. My waiter was very attentive throughout our dining experience. I had the fettuccine which is full of seafood like scallops, shrimp and lobster and topped with a lobster sauce. It was delicious! I also had some really good oysters to start. My only issue was the oyster wasn’t shucked. I’m used to that at other high end restaurants. This was a great experience and I’ll def be returning for dinner in the near future.

I planned a surprise birthday party for my bf in one the private rooms with Joette and Roxann on the Events Team and it was a raging success. They made it so easy to coordinate and even personalized the menu to our event. Having our very own private bar right outside the room was PERFECT and the bartenders, managers and wait staff were the nicest, most accommodating people and truly made sure our night was special. They were juggling so many different things that night with the regular dining room, a wedding and our event and the food was still 10/10. They even let me stop by beforehand to set up!! We will certainly do this again. Tony even stopped by with some special trivia. We highly recommend celebrating all your special days at Tony’s!

I love the gnocchi with white truffle. The white truffle is very flavorful and rich. I like the Chilean sea bass very much. Very tender and juicy. I like the Toro and A5 wagyu beef nigiri. I prefer fattier otoro. This toro is not fatty enough for me. I like the Brussels sprouts side. They made it well cooked exactly the way I like. I appreciate that. Lobster tail is fresh and sweet. Chocolate lava cake is too sweet for me 8 Self-curated Courses: White truffle gnocchi Toto nigiri A5 Wagyu nigiri Lobster tail Chilean sea bass with purple potato mash Mushroom side Brussels sprout side Chocolate lava cake

Family dinner here was fabulous. And Tony just makes you feel like your at home! Tucked inside the JHouse all just hip and cool. Appears all the locals know this is its hidden gem. The place was packed non stop. Try the sushi. Pasta is gorgeous to the dessert.

First time trying this place. The service was top notch, valet available. The food did not disappoint either, we had the sea bass and octopus appetizer. Pricey as expected (greenwich) but worth it.

This place is top notch for amazing food and atmosphere. The owner comes out to personally greet every customer which is a pleasant touch. The prices are decent and affordable to most for such an upscale experience. Try it and it might just become one of your favorites as well. The Aussie tomahawk is an absolute must!

Service was warm and welcoming our server was attentive, the timing felt right, and had a refined tone. If you’re looking for an elevated dinner in Greenwich that combines steakhouse energy, Italian inspired dishes, a sleek hotel lobby ambiance, and polished service, Tony’s at the J House hits the mark. It’s ideal for date night, celebrations, or when you want something a bit more dressed up. I’d go back and recommend it when you’re in the mood for dinner out rather than casual.

Made a last minute reservation and was able to sit exactly where we wanted so that we would have a great experience. We were welcomed by the staff and checked in on to make sure we were having a good experience. The music and energy was right, the cocktails were flowing and the food was delicious. We have been here a few times now (including Thanksgiving) and it’s been excellent every time. Way better than the steakhouses in Stamford.

You can expect a "triple threat" in terms of excellent food, service & atmosphere! Plus, Tony greeting your table & posing challenging trivia questions makes for some fun banter!

The portions are large. I'm a big eater and love to see a full plate. The appetizers, salads, and entrees are delicious, cooked, and served at exact specifications. The service staff is not JUST attentive but actually seemed concerned that we were satisfied with every aspect of the meal. They ensured that we were enjoying ourselves and responded to our every need.

We recently hosted a 94-guest event at Tony’s at the J House, and the entire experience exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was lively yet elegant, the food was outstanding, and the staff handled a large group flawlessly. Tony’s attention to detail and hospitality truly stood out. A fantastic venue for both dining and private events. Tony is the best !!!!!!

Tony's at the J House was exceptional. I was there for a private event , we started with the charcuterie platters, fried calamar with zucchini, the grilled octopus with braised fennel , later the seafood platter came with large shrimp, oysters in the half shell , crab and lobster. The main courses were the T Bone steak ala fiorentina with fried onions on top, and branzino . All the dishes were exceptionally done, cooked to perfection. The wait staff were very professional and not overbearing. They kept the chianti flowing (I forgot the maker- but it was one of the few chiantis I really enjoyed. )

My office had their annual Christmas Party at the J House. We had a wonderful time and Tony took care of us personally throughout the entire evening. His staff is incredible. The food was made to perfection and the drinks were the best any specialty bar could provide. Then, to top it off, Tony performed his magic. He did his trivia contest between both sides of the room. He belongs on his own TV show…just fantastic…Thank you Tony.

A cut above the rest. Tony's goes out of its way to provide service and excellence. The food offerings vary from sushi, premium steaks, beef dumplingsznand seafood to pasta dishes and chicken Milanese. All dishes are top notch. Rony manages the restaurant and he's packs a lot of star power. He's the secret sauce of this restaurant. Tony greets practically every every patron and spends time at each table getting to know guest. He makes you feel like you're family and he genuinely cares. He works incredibly hard and always with a smile.

Went for brunch, the food was great and drinks on point. We were seated promptly. The food was delicious as usual! Despite not being overly occupied, the waiter seemed rushed to take our order and then didn’t even offer us coffee or dessert, walked over and dropped the check on our table. Hoping it’s a one-off oddity as we saw other tables offered coffee/dessert. So we paid and headed to the bar for after brunch cocktails.

The food at J House met expectations—fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Highlights included the sushi platter and small plates like tuna tatami, yellowtail jalapeño and crispy rice with salmon tartare. The 2023 Comte Lafond Sancerre paired perfectly with the seafood. The patio ambiance is lovely, with greenery and natural light creating a relaxed, upscale vibe. While the service was pleasant, it could be more attentive to match the quality of the food. Overall, a great spot for sushi and wine in Greenwich.

My family did Christmas dinner here. It was a prefix menu, but there were plenty of options. Loved the Truffle Lobster pasta and the Halibut. Honestly, all 3 courses were well presented with spectacular flavor. The decor was amazing! Loved the patio with the football games on. And the fireplace was so sexy with extra flair. Cannot wait until Summer by the pool to do it again.

Good food nice ambiance. Steaks were good. Tables need to be a little more social distanced. There was a lot of people in the patio eating dinner. The owner Tony was around he was amazing. Engaged with us all night and was very good with the kids

The veal starter was better than my calamari. The cheese in the NY cheesecake was yummy and my Colorado Lamb Shank was really flavourful and well cooked that it fell if the bone. 45% full for Christmas lunch

Went for a company dinner. Food was delicious and fairly expensive. I especially loved their dessert menu, and the expansive options with their apps and alcohol. The wait for dinner took a very long time (well over an hour), but they were quite busy and we had a large party.

The meatball was massive and delicious. We were able to share it with 5 people. The sushi and the lobster eggs Benedict was good.

This visit was hit and miss. The old fashioned was very good, but "The Meatball", eh. I was told it was monumental but it was just okay. The steaks, however, were cooked to perfection and tasted incredible. I'm just still a bit upset that a $32 meatball was just okay though, but I'll get over it.

Was very dissapointed by the hot pink hotpants at the front desk who can’t smile to save her life. Service, on the other hand, very polite and fun. Food is good! A bit heavy, a bit overwhelming with too much flavor. But this one dish, Chicken Scarpariello, is outstanding. Especially, the way they prepared the chicken. Moist, soft, succulent. Great job on that one.

A bit of a delay in my review here, but a great experience overall when I came by for Christmas Eve. Overall very festive and elevated inside. Every course was excellent, especially the truffle gnocchi and steak au poivre with creamed spinach. The Chianti we ordered was fantastic too. My only complaint is that I wish the server took my food allergy more seriously. Although the fixed menu had no nuts, it's always good to double check with the kitchen.

We had dinner reservations at 8:30. Got there at 10 mins early and our wait time was 45 minutes. I mean what was the point of reservation then? We had done a party in the garden area and the food was amazing then. Yesterday's dinner was not even close to what we had at our party. So unfortunate…wish we had a better experience.

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant but unfortunately my experience wasn't to my expectations. Service was a bit confusing because we got one waiter and then he disappeared and I got another waiter. I ordered 2 large prime rib. When received we weren't asked if we wanted it cut. Then I get another waiter and he looked at our dishes and suggested to to cut the prime. He then removes our dishes and took them back to the kitchen. He then came back with our steak cut and on a sizzling hot plate. He ruined the steak. For what I paid I was disappointed. I've experienced better.

K

Great atmosphere, food was above average, but the service was atrocious! Christmas Day Dinner: maybe 8 or 9 tables occupied, about 30% (ish) of the restaurant. One table had a party of 14 (middle of the dinning room). The entire staff was attending to that one table’s every whim. At the same time ignoring the seven or eight other, small groups, dining at the restaurant!! *also for a party of three they added 20% (of a 400.00 bill) gratuity without first alerting the patron!!! NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!

Okay so I came here for my birthday yesterday because I seen this restaurant on TikTok and I loved what I saw. When I arrived there was valet parking that took our car and directed us to the restaurant. The host greeted us and show us our table on the outside where the bar and garden with the waterfall were. Beautiful atmosphere and weather was perfect for outside dining. But here was the downfall, I believe our waiter was dry and had no personality. It was my birthday and I wanted to feel special and be acknowledge that it was a special day and they appreciated that I came to celebrate it in their business, but no I didn’t get that. The drinks were bland and didn’t taste the best. I would give the drinks 3/10. The food took forever to come out. When I asked the waiter about the food he stated it was still cooking because we brought steak and we asked for it to be well done. We didn’t even have apps so the food order shouldn’t have taking so long. However, I would’ve appreciated if our waiter keep us updated about our meal instead of watching the baseball game and talking with other coworkers. However, I believe one of the managers was walking around checking on everyone and making sure everything was in order, which was good business practice. But our food finally came out and everything was good and hot. The waiter finally came back and took our next drink order and the second drink was worst then the first drink so I left it there. Overall that place is nice, but when celebrating an occasion and spending money, we the consumers want to feel special. I definitely didn’t and I didn’t bother getting desert because I knew I would not get that treatment I seen on TikTok. I should’ve said something to the manager when he was walking around but I didn’t want an issue. I wouldn’t do a celebration there again.

I have been there before but at a hosted dinner by a travel agency recently, I was treated poorly as a woman of color and literary the only guest who was i did not get the service the other ladies. The quality and appearance of the food was subpar for me but beautiful for the others. Its a shame because it is not my first time being hosted to a training event there but I will definitely let the invitee know my experience. Such a shame because I was there a month ago and it was cool meeting Tony though he is full of entertaining stories. But to be the only one served a chipped plate smh come on. Whatsdamaddawitchu

0 stars for Poor service - making a reservation here is not a guarantee you’ll actually get a table. Unfortunately, my family won’t be coming back here. When I came the first two times, the food was overpriced but the atmosphere was good enough to justify paying extra for a special occasion. I made a reservation 2 months in advance for a large party of 8 people. It was canceled by the restaurant a week later. I spoke to the restaurant over the phone to ask why but there was no real answer. No problem - I rescheduled it. Then 2 weeks before, it was canceled again with no reasoning. When I called to ask why it was canceled a SECOND time — I was on hold for 15 minutes because no one could tell me. Finally I was told that someone had bought out part of the restaurant for that night — my reservation was unceremoniously cancelled without explanation or care. It’s probably for the best.

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this experience truly deserves one. I chose Tony’s at the J House for my wife’s 38th birthday brunch, inspired by all the positive reviews. I called in advance, explained it was a special day, and asked if they could do something to make our table memorable. The staff assured me, “we’ll take care of it.” When we arrived, though, there was no recognition of her birthday whatsoever. We were seated at the first table by the door—a generic setup with absolutely nothing special about it. This wouldn’t have bothered me if they hadn’t assured me that they’d make the occasion feel special. It was a disappointing start, but I thought the food would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was shockingly low-quality. The pizza was so salty and the cheese consistency so strange, it was barely edible. The French toast? Nearly inedible—the crust was so hard we had to eat around it. The lobster Benedict had the most watery eggs I’ve ever seen, paired with dry, overcooked lobster. And then there was the bacon: pure fat with a chewy, gum-like texture that was truly unpleasant. They eventually removed the bacon from our bill, but by that point, the damage was done. Adding to the disappointment, the service was nonexistent. I had to get up to request our check and then again to pay at the waiter’s station. For the high price we paid, we expected an exceptional experience, yet this brunch was nothing but a letdown. I’m sharing pictures so others can see the quality, or lack thereof, firsthand. If you’re looking for a special, high-quality dining experience, Tony’s at the J House maybe the place, and maybe they just fumbled the ball this day, but it truly was disappointing.

Attended the restaurant 12/21 Saturday evening, drinks were delicious and so was the salad. Ordered the 1/2 of chicken with potatoes and green beans. Ate the chicken breast and packed the thigh/quarter to go. The following day after re heating my left overs and before eating them I noticed the chicken was under cooked. Early Sunday evening I emailed the following email listed on the website regarding the issue at 2:33 pm and left a voice mail later that evening at 6:04 pm. It’s 12/23 and no response. I called the restaurant today at 11:59 am & the receptionist who answered stated no manger was available and to try back later around 4pm. I called and spoke to a new receptionist at 4:15 pm she took my name and number and stated she would give my info to a manager. It is currently 7:25 pm. I’ve called four times since 7 pm and the line is going to voicemail. Either the managers don’t check their emails & voicemails or they’re blatantly ignoring customers. Attached is a photo of the under cooked chicken from my left overs.

Took my wife here for Valentine's day and we were very disappointed. Each glass was dirty, and every utensil. Even when the waiter gave me a new fork from the table next to us, it was also dirty (picture). One water was oddly discolored (picture) and I moved it to the other side of the other glass to take another picture to show it's not just a lighting issue. For a place that's supposed to be really nice with valet parking, it was just gross. Had it not been Valentine's day we would have gone elsewhere. Lucky we didn't get sick
