Great inexpensive place! Portions were very filling and the food was so delicious. We ate inside and my entire family noticed how clean it was. Definitely would come here for lunch again!

My favorite place to grab lunch whenever I’m downtown. Many options to choose from but their COMBO plate is the way to go. Chicken & lamb shaved and stacked high over rice with all the fixins and sauces. Mix it all together and experience a flavor bomb with every bite!

Went here on 3/13/17. Great place for a good bite to eat. Prices are extremely fair especially for quality food. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. I will definitely visit again.

Outstanding salads. No longer work in Hartford but make a special trip any time I'm nearby. Ask for sampling of all salads with gyro plate. Extra tzatziki. Try their hot sauce.

I think I'm addicted to the lamb plates. The portion size is pretty good for the price. I usually get a small plate for six bucks. Hummus and tzatziki is free with your order and the veggies are always fresh..Most importantly the lamb is literally chunks of lamb meat not the meatball grinded rubbish you get from other places.

I've been eating at MM's since last year and the food (chicken kebobs, gyros, salads) are always delicious. The best Greek food within 30 miles of Hartford. I returned yesterday not knowing if they were open or what to expect and I was surprised, in the best way possible. They are open and the food is the same (read: the best) as ever. Downtown Hartford is quiet these days and I know they, like other small businesses, are struggling. If you are looking for the best Greek food and live in or near Hartford, please stop in. You'll come back again and again. Promise.

Love this little hidden gem in Hartford! The lady is always so nice and food is great! I always go for the lamb or combination order with everything in it. Love it.

Cash only! ATM onsite. Hole in the wall gyro shop. It's perfect for those days you don't want to eat out and you're feeling too cheap and lazy to go buy good food and go home to cook. Or you're just you know super busy. Huge plate of meat and veggies, sauces, dips - just unadulterated good clean food.

This place is the best! The Chicken kebabs are fantastic and the gyros are also excellent. Get the lamb and get everything on it. You won’t be disappointed. I could walk in and get nothing but their vegetable sides and still be happy!

Went after a long time with my friend. We heard the owner is changed so we wanted to try it out. But honestly, the food is way more fresh. And perfect portion size. I ordered chicken kebabs which was done perfectly. My friend got beef kebabs which he said was perfectly seasoned and well cooked. Very impressed. We will be back again. Very friendly customer service too.

Went in for the first time today we really enjoyed it. I had beef kebab and my friend got chicken kebab with all veggies and French fries. Everything was well prepared and tasted really great. We definitely returning. Very clean store and friendly staffs. Highly recommended. We love to support local businesses. We do not like to put down them just for a free food like some reviews I see here it’s very sad.

On a layover here for work and wanted to try this restaurant based off of all the great reviews. I'm so glad I did! I ordered the chicken shish kebab wrap, and it was so flavorful and delicious! The woman who prepared my order was also so nice. Will definitely be back if I find myself here again!

Today was my first time and it won’t be my last lol. After reading over the menu at work I couldn’t wait to get out so I could run over and grab some lunch, I had a chicken kebab and a beef kebab both were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning and spice 😋 I choose to have them served over a freshly made salad with their house dressing and it was AMAZING!!!! The owner was very nice and accommodating making my order just the way I wanted it 👌 If your in the downtown area this is a must try trust me you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back soon! If you're looking for an excellent, inexpensive lunch in downtown Hartford, this is a hidden gem. Everything's great, though I'll admit the small salad with Chicken is my meal of choice. Plenty of seating, including a table outdoors. Lines can be long right at noon, but a bit earlier or a bit later makes for a quick in/out. Try the baklava!

Favorite lunch spot in downtown hartford. The rice/salads base for the combos is the best, you end up with a bed of warm rice (white or yellow), a mixture of several delicious salads (beets, carrots, etc) and you can top with shawarma meat or kebabs, and additional sauces (tzatziki, hot sauce, hummus). It's a perfect blend of textures and flavors, and I can eat a filling lunch without feeling sleepy the rest of the work day. There is a line if you get there too long after 12, but it moves quickly.

Another hidden gem in Hartford. Not very busy but has a ton to offer, especially the menu. Was very surprised walking in and seeing how much they had available. I ordered the chicken salad and kabob combo which came out to about 30 dollars total. Very generous portion sizes, I ordered ahead and it was ready upon arrival. Great Greek flavors you want in a Mediterranean restaurant. I was extremely satisfied and will check them out again soon.

Very good Greek or mideast restaurant. It is very popular at lunch time. Many people that work in Hartford downtown area like to grab food here. The food is inexpensive and you can have one chicken comb or lamb comb within $10. I visited this place many many time. Their chicken one is super good. I recommend it. This store is a cash-only restaurant and it closes very early in the afternoon. Check the business hours before going.

Fresh food piled high. I walked in around noontime and it was packed with a lunch crowd. Many eating at the tables in the dining area (with real plates) while others getting food to go. Regardless the line for food moved fast. An assembly line like Chipotle, you pick your type of rice, then veggies (a wide variety of fresh salads and you can have multiple types). You the select the type of meat (chicken, Lamb gyro style or kebabs with meat or fish and veggies). Lastly the toppings with lots of choices like pickled onions, hummus , tzatziki and hot sauce. I was really impressed by the freshness of the food. The meats were being roasted right behind the counter. The kebabs on metal skewers. Service was very friendly. Great place to check out.

I dont know if you can really give a place like this 5 stars. It's great for what it is but if you give it 5 stars then what are you giving a $$$$ steak house in NYC? Anyway, their plates of food are plentiful and tasty. I would say though, that they dont seem to get the concept of an order of french fries. Their fries actually look good, but "an order" is more than 3 or 4 individual fries, and they arent a topping on a wrap. They look at you like "what am I supposed to do with these?" (what?) when they pick up the fries they've made and start to drop them on top of your food (huh?). You'd think the employees have never been to anyplace outside of their store. It's extremely odd. So, other than the fries situation, is a very good choice for a low-rent quick lunch in Hartford.

Honestly, i don't know why I didn't give them a 5. I'll spare this rating for my next visit. I've been there many times before but not since the Covid-19 upheavals. I was happy to see them standing on Tuesday, Nov 22nd, 2021. I ordered the chicken kebab, red rice and a ton of various salads.

Very good chicken. The quantity is good. The chicken and the rice tastes nice. I ordered the chicken kabob and rice. Also have had seekh kabab over rice. Both taste very good. The sauce and veggies with the rice taste fresh and is perfect.

not my favorite place for food, the falafel was a bit dry and the rice and vegetable platter was okay, but their customer service is top quality, even when I didn’t physically interact with them

Food was delicious, like a Mediterranean Chipotle. I had some difficulty understanding the meal options, however after one visit I feel much more confident with what I want next time.

I have tried a good amount of their proteins, except the salmon. The lamb kebabs aren't great, I had a piece that was just fat without any meat. Their chickens versions are pretty solid.

It's a nice place and offers good food although gets really crowded during lunch time. I have been here for the 3rd time and every time I visit I don't have any complaints with the food except for how the show is being run. For example, during all my visits I ordered 2 items and for some reason the person taking the order only decided to give 1 of them and I had to ask for the 2nd item again. Also, it's totally understandable that during lunch rush they need to keep the line moving but that doesn't discount for telling the customer (when asked for receipt) that you should have told that before (even though I had asked for it before hand when paying). A little more care needs to be put in by the management on the operations.

I ordered the lamb plate, baklava, and falafel gyro. The Turkish pilaf was amazing, beet salad, taziki, lamb was all very good. The lady preparing the order was very sweet. We ordered take out and it was quick and easy. They have a nice dine in space with clean bathrooms. Lunch was very inexpensive. I highly recommend trying them! Food here is Halal! So the baklava and falafel were not as good as we hoped. I still recommend trying them

Two stars because the lady running is sweet, but I literally walked out and cancelled my order as I saw the falafels be reheated in a microwave. A brief conversation with the lady, seems she’s the owner, revealed that she made the falafels 10 days ago (her words verbatim). That was alarming to me, and I left immediately after sharing my thoughts with her. She doesn’t believe it’s possible to make falafel fresh due to local foot traffic - I’ve seen otherwise. Although I greatly empathize with her, I’m not paying for 10-day old (or in general) stale ingredients.

Gyro is in the name so one would expect at the very least quality gyros that are flavorful. Sadly the meat is dry, overcooked and lacking both seasoning and flavor. The lamb came with gristle on multiple pieces. The pitas were microwaved. The sauces were also flavorless. Skip this place. It's edible but barely and has clearly seen better days.

Ordered online and you guys gave me plain rice. What a scam

ordered beef kabob plate and chicken tenders with fries. every piece of beef was mostly fat, I was shocked that they would serve it. all of the accompanying salad and veggies were old and tasted bad. fries had zero seasoning, not even salt. no a/c inside and it smelled bad. bathrooms were apparently out of order. do not recommend

It used to be a great spot, i think old owner sold the buisness. Right now i got beef that that i couldnt even bite through, and chicken was just questionable. I do not recomend this place

We ordered #23. She prepared #26 then ARGUED with us that we had ordered it, NOT #23. Food was disappointing. Beet salad was only seasoned with salt & cilantro. It needed some kind of acid. Falafel was very dry from microwaving it. Lamb gyro was average.

Ordered a chicken gyro plate for pickup. Showed up and no one was at register another gentlemen was looking to order. We waited 5 minutes so he started banging the counter top as did I. That did not not work. So he then called the establishment finally a server came Out. Said I had a takeout order so she put it together but never gave me the pita bread. Asked as I grabbed the takeout bag if I wanted pita bread thinking I came in with the other guy?? Most ridiculous experience I have ever witnessed. 0/5 stars
