Great local diner in White Plains. Service is fairly quick and the staff are kind and pleasant. Love the grilled cheese and milkshakes. Great for families, friends, or solo dining.
It can be a little pricey if you're expecting the run-of-the-mill diner.. however, you do get what you pay for, in that the food has a small "upscale" touch. Example: i got a hot chocolate for $7 (maybe 8), but it did taste just a little more tasty/special. Plus, it came with a unique topping, which wasnt merely whipped cream but had a hearty chunk of a block marshmallow in it. The hash browns are much nicer in their presentation and actually LOOK appetizing, which is another small touch. They have great corn bread. Im not sure when or what services its provided but if you get a bread basket, its got that special corn bread... and if you want dessert, you needn't look just at the menu. When you first walk in, there is a small area that has misc pastries (i.e. key lime pie, macaroni, carrot cake) and some may come in just to grab a treat to go. Service is great. Price wise, a couple examples - silver dollar pancakes $10.50 and many egg dishes/omelet, typically $18. They have a parking lot but it can get busy. Oh and the atmosphere - its a large space but the tables aren't cramped together. It looks basically like a diner but cleaner! Definitely worth a visit!
Excellent place to dine in,The service was amazing our waiter (Jorge) welcomed us super nice and friendly. Food delicious and big portions enough to kill the hunger and the unlimited coffee… of course we’re planning to come back. Highly recommend, prices super affordable. If you’re near and hungry, don’t doubt about:just get here you wont regret, enjoy!!!
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at City Limit Diner, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience that compelled me to return three times! From the moment we stepped inside, the welcoming atmosphere set the stage for what would be a fantastic culinary adventure. The highlight of my visits was undoubtedly the food. I indulged in the steak with veggies, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with fresh vegetables. It was such a delightful meal that I couldn't resist going back for breakfast! The breakfast did not disappoint! I ordered the steak and eggs, and it was simply delicious. The combination of the hearty steak with fluffy eggs was a match made in heaven. Each bite was a reminder of why I returned to this gem of a diner. Equally commendable was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient, making us feel right at home. Their genuine hospitality added to the overall experience, ensuring we left with smiles on our faces. If you're looking for a place with amazing food and excellent service, City Limit Diner is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait for my next return!
It was my first time going to this place and I must say the food was great and the customer service was expectional. The diner is clean, big and has a great decor. The staff was very polite and helpful. Overall I would definitely go again and I recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or catering.
This place surprised me! Everything was perfect. I had the best martini of my entire life- the pear martini. The burger and fries were 10/10. And the apple turnover and chocolate hazelnut tart were divine. The service was friendly and attentive from beginning to end. And the ambiance was more like a restaurant than a diner, which is a compliment! Nicest diner I've been to, probably. This place is awesome and I can't wait to come back.
A Westchester County staple for brunch! Love their all day breakfast menu. Delicious fluffy eggs and thick cut bacon. Portions are generous and filling. City Limits serves up traditional diner classics at a higher standard. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are a delight and don’t forget their show stopping dessert case! The key lime pie is always a treat. 😋
If you want a great diner with awesome food, this is the place. My husband and I love the food and the service is outstanding. I tried different meals and they were all (oh my goodness) delicious. You must try the bakery shop on your way our. I am on vacation and decided to have a cucumber mary (bloody mary), awesome. The atmosphere, you will feel like you are away. Enjoy.
I came here for brunch on a weekend. This is a step up from a diner in a good way. The food comes out quickly and is good, and it has nice decor. There is a good amount of parking.

Haven't been there in 20 years. Did was terrific. Service was friendly and enthusiastic. I had the soy salmon. Delicious!
It is a quiet and very elegant restaurant, perfect for celebrating a special event. The atmosphere is cozy, sophisticated, and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming environment from the moment you arrive. The service is excellent; the staff is attentive, professional, and always ready to make you feel comfortable. The food is delicious and carefully presented, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. Every detail, from the lighting to the music, makes the experience even more special. I highly recommend this restaurant for anniversaries, birthdays, or any important occasion. It is definitely a place worth visiting.
I always assess the quality of a diner by ordering the same breakfast items - corned beef hash and eggs and coffee- simple, hard to mess up, and shows the authenticity of the diner. City Limits definitely met all my expectations and more. The eggs were served poached which was a nice touch. The coffee refills kept coming. The dining area is big and spacious and pleasant. I would definitely eat at City Limits again.
My aunt and I decide to come here for brunch. I had a steak sandwich on a cibatta roll with fries it was good! We also had mimosas, they also were delicious. The waiter was great. Big place but we lucked out it wasn’t crowded for a Saturday afternoon. Would love to come back and try other things on their menu. Plus they have breakfast all day.

When we got to the restaurant, we were seated right away. Our server was polite and attentive. The food was good and we didn’t have to wait long to be served. We will definitely come back.
Great dinner. The smokehouse burger was great and the French toast was also very good. Usually I don’t have any issues with the service however the waitress today was very rude and short. Totally ruined me and my partners meal. Apart from her constant attitude,I told her I was done with my food and then proceeded to take my partners plate who wasn’t done eating. didn’t even ask her if she was done. I couldn’t believe it. She just snatched it and left so quickly we could barely even say anything. I don’t think I’ve ever have had such poor communication or treatment from a server in my life. It was honestly unbelievable.
The din of a diner - City Limits fits the bill! Not too noisy, but when you step inside, there's no doubt you've entered a diner with a general mid-level buzz. The service was timely and the food brought to table in a reasonable amount of time. I should have known better than to order a burger. I suspect they don't want to serve medium cooked meats, and though that's what I ordered, i got a well done 🍔. 🫤 It looked delicious, but well done is too tough to my liking. Despite that, i still recommend.
So I was at this restaurant about a month ago and I was debating whether that I should go back at the end of the year after reading so many different reviews about how the food was not cook properly or was not hot I think my review is a fair review. It doesn't make any sense that I have to tell the waiter please make sure when you bring my food that it is pipe and hot off the grill. No one should have to eat cold or medium lukewarm food if they're paying for it. There's no question about it so I did not say anything I ordered a basic meal eggs and an omelet and you know they gave me the toast with the different jams One of the jams was quite nice actually as you'll see in the photo there's two of them in a container and then another one as though it was homemade or something. Nonetheless, the the omelet came and if you want to call it hash browns you can This is not what I know to be hash browns This is not known to me as such. I'm gathering everyone has their own way of making it but truthfully if you're going to identify as American cuisine when it comes to this particular meal then get it right and it was wrong. I had to ask the waiter to bring the food back because it was not hot when he bought it back I was able to eat it and it was fresh It was well cooked the egg was not runny it was a nice omelet. As I stated the jam was almost perfect not too sweet and just my liking however they skip you on the toast and I don't know why what's wrong with getting two slices of toast I don't care if it's oat milk bread I don't care if it's David's killer bread what difference does it make if I'm paying for it give me two slices of bread not one slice of bread cut in half, stop being cheap with your customers really stop it. Now perhaps you ran out of bread and that's the case then tell me and I would make a decision as to whether or not I would like another type of bread. But I had to ask for another slice of bread This is crazy. So the food was okay The coffee was okay The ambience was very nice I have to say I did enjoy the interior. What puzzled me very badly and sadly to say there were an overcrowd of male waiters. I don't understand that there were approximately 10 males on the floor waiting tables and one woman what kind of nonsense is that do you guys hire women? I thought it was kind of sad to see. There should be an equal balance now is it possible I just happened to come there one day when all but one woman was working I doubt it but nonetheless the only thing I can say about this restaurant is that they don't serve hot pipe and food on the first go round Will I come back probably not. But you guys make your own decision Don't waste your money when you could spend it for something better somewhere else. I'm just going to leave it right there.
Food was okay but SUPER OVER PRICED $50.00 Grilled cheese woth bacon $15 Bowl of chicken soup $9.00 Milk shake $9.00 French fries soda Insane never payed that much for that kind of a meal in my li…
I've been coming to this diner for over ten years, but within the last 2-3 years it's become more and more dissapointing. The quality of food is definitely down (fried dishes geting greasier, fish less fresh, salads more wet, omelttes sadder). The prices are way up and some of the items on the menu have been repriced to to point of being almost unethically expensive for both their qaulity and quantity. I would like to know how the managment can justify the $9.75 desserts or $6.75 for 5 stripes of bacon that definitely comes from Reastaurant Depot and a box of 200 pcs costs less than $30? I understand there is rent to pay, empolyees to pay, pruduce to buy etc etc, but where is the limit? Especially when the overall quality goes down and the prices go up?
Filthy, filthy, filthy. Planned to meet a girlfriend for dinner. Arrived early. Used restroom. Fled immediately and re-directed her to another restaurant. Board of Health needs to make a visit.
overpriced, small portion, mediocre food!!! i ordered a chicken quesadilla for 17 dollars, and the quesadilla was 4 tiny triangles that i ate in 2 minutes. this place is a scam, do not support them,
