The staff was awesome. Really like the updated in modern decor with the large murals on the walls. The food was good the chicken was flavorful on the dishes as well was the rice. I did enjoy the chips that were warm and the salsa combo. All in all our party enjoyed everything

I really enjoyed their new interior - it's clean lines and white & teal colors invite you right in. We've been for both lunch & dinner, ans all the items ordered have been delicious. My friend got a house margarita on our last visit and really enjoyed it.

In Hemet...your limited to the eateries you can visit. Your common run of the mill places exist and often chosen because it just seems natural. Visiting a friend here and we decided to try patrons. From the outside It looks okay...nothing too special . Lots of parking and clean looks. Inside large dining area and separate bar area. The people were nice friendly and always attentive. The food was good...not excellent but good. We found out that this place also has a dance hall..during the night and weekends bands play ...might have to return to get a better idea. Yet the stay was nice the drinks were huge and the pricing was a bit more than I would have wanted ...but overall in was pleased

OVERRATED! I’m still not on the El Patron train, it’s got great sides (beans, rice, chips, soup, etc.) but the main course is always mid-tier or underperforms for me. I’ve tried enchiladas, burritos, and now flautas, nothing has blown my mind. I will admit, the food has improved ever so slightly since my first visit years ago, however it’s not the best Mexican spot in the valley! My flautas had a frozen taste. El Patron is more of a drinking spot with live entertainment (karaoke, mariachi, etc.) and a focus on appetizers. I love their queso fundido and tortillas, but again it’s not a main dish. The “restaurant side” is pretty spacious and dimly lit, it’s great for groups. You’ll find plenty of tables and booths. The bar/entertainment side is fairly nice, it’s visible from the parking lot and filled with locals. My main reasons why I’m giving El Patron three stars and not anything lower is because I appreciate MOST of the staff. Only one younger dude has a moody attitude, everyone else is super nice! We received excellent service from a new trainee waitress and her waitress buddy/mentor. According to the waitress El Patron has brunch now! I guess I’ve got to try it now? My family and friends really enjoys this place so it’s kind of a guilty pleasure. 20th time’s the charm? Note: El Patron serves seafood, meats, burritos, and VEGETARIAN options!

This place is overpricing bad service. It was better than the other old patron establishment that burned down, but I feel like that was on purpose.

I visited El Patrón and Grill in Hemet with my wife and children, and unfortunately it was a very poor experience from start to finish. Right after we were seated, the waiter rushed us to order and told us we should order quickly “before the big parties start ordering.” While we were still placing our orders, I tried to change my order within about 30 seconds, and while he was still standing at our table, he told me it was already entered in the system and it was too late to change. That felt unnecessary and unaccommodating. When our food arrived, our taco plates and other dishes came with no salsa, no lemons, no ketchup nothing at all. The drinks we ordered also looked nothing like what was advertised in the pictures. To make matters worse, the food itself was dry, lacked flavor, and was overall disappointing. The biggest issue was the customer service. We felt rushed the entire time and not welcomed. Ironically, the host staff showed better customer service than our waiter. Overall, this was not a good dining experience, and we would not return based on the service and food quality.

Came in on Sunday morning with a friend of mine, and the service was so poor. Right as we arrived, the only welcome we got was from the lady who sat us in the front. As we got to the table in the dining room, the server was just so emotionless, like they didn't like working there. After having to wait for chips and salsa for 15 minutes still with not coming by getting our drinks. On top of that, the person in charge was speaking to the server, so rude as well. Now I know why when the server came to my table all miserable not even a smile a glance of happiness. The food was good I can't deny that, it's just the lack of service I received the fact that I've seen the server get talked down. While I sat near one of the kitchen doors I just heard them call out the workers over their radios not in a pleasant voice, walking around the dining room the man proceeded to still yell into the microphone of his radio to the employees, I just sat there watching as another table at the corner of the dinning at the window booths just look back at us and noticed what we just have. There is no excuse for any of this that I myself and other couples noticed.

Was charged for a steak that was all fat. When I complained, they asked to take the steak to show the chef. They never brought it back or replaced the steak. When I asked them to adjust my bill they originally said no and they finally said yes but then turned around and charged my bank the full amount. Will never go back here again

Waitress was terrible. Spilled my whole soda on my white shirt. Food took forever to get to our table and when it did it was not cooked the way we ordered it. Had to send stuff back. Waited 30 minutes for a beer. 15 minutes for napkins. Never came to refill our drinks. Over all the service and food was terrible. Never will eat here again. Not worth the price! Manager only took off 25% from our bill.

El Patron needs help from a competent manager who knows how to handle a busy restaurant. Had dinner on Friday the place was packed, but an untrained waitress did not know how to handle a busy rush. We waited 30 minutes to be seated in horrible spot right at the front door. we were bumped into by several waitresses. The manager (man) was running around like he had never seen a busy restaurant. We ordered drinks, and they were incorrect twice. The waitress Catlyn never checked on us or was interested in what we needed. This is our neighborhood restaurant. Dinner was overcooked and stuck to the plate. Looks like we will find another spot to have dinner. El Patrons seating arrangements are horrible. We used to love this place. However, it is not the same dining experience we were used to. These reviews are given to learn from. I hope they read this one and do better, especially when you're paying over $100 buck for dinner and drinks. We were not happy with the entire experience. BTW, this is the second time we've had a bad experience. I'm not sure if we will give them another chance. Not happy, San Jacinto CA
