If you were a fan of the old Antone's deli and their Original poboy, but have been disappointed with what Antone's is selling now, then Angelo'z has what your looking for. They are still serving the original Original poboy. Brought back good memories. I ended up buying two it was so good. I also tried their cheese steak and that was great too. I will definitely be back (a lot).

My partner and I stopped by today for lunch and we were blown away by Angelo’z! The atmosphere was perfect - clean, quiet, cozy and the sandwiches truly were the best! We got the hot supreme and the hot smoked turkey and both were absolutely delicious. The owner was very sweet and kind and helped give us menu suggestions, and the service was very fast. We will 100% be back on the regular!

Delicious. Drive thru was convenient. My favorite was the supreme po’ boy, my wife preferred the muffuletta. Can’t go wrong. Plus the combo with Zapps.

I had an excellent sandwich today. The Muffaletta was perfect. The olive salad, homemade. Delicious. The bread isn't New Orleans Central Grocery, its better. This one is toasted and served warm great. Deviled eggs, very good as well. With a single green olive slice on top.

Angelo'z was awesome. I like the old school feeling while you're inside. The spot has inside seating with convenience store setup as well to buy drinks, chips, etc. I will come back for the Philly.

Nothing “poor” about this place!!! The lady at the counter was like the friendliest person I’ve met this year! Very cool cute place. Food is to die for. They cut their own cheese daily! Bread fresh daily! They fresh! Loved this lunch

First off my pictures doesn’t do this any service. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and it smelled so good I couldn’t take a much better picture. The taste was just as good as it smelled, I’m assuming it was the owners that were there and they were as nice as could be. Love the decor inside that has a welcoming atmosphere. I’d recommend anyone if you’re around NRG stadium and you’re hungry this is a great place to visit.

I believe the original owner of Antone's owns this place and this is the only place in Houston where you can get an original Antone's poboy. I ordered the original Antone's sandwich and it was delicious.

Do it! Just do it. You won't be disappointed. Today was the 1st time I tried this place. I was debating on taking a chance or going to a chain. Glad I took a chance. Had the Supreme Antone sandwich with excellent chow chow and their broccoli soup. Was pleasantly pleased with the quality of food and service. I've found a lunch spot for my sandwich cravings!! Yay me, and yay you!!

This is a great shop for a sandwich. We're from out of town and looking for something that is not a chain. I asked for a to go menu and since none were printed they gave me a menu used for eating there. Very pleasant employees.

5 stars just isn’t enough for Angelo’z! The muffuletta was incredible. Awesome staff and lots of meats, cheeses and spices in bulk too. Don’t pass this place by!

I ordered a club sandwich which only comes in one size. It’s slightly larger than a Subway 6 inch sandwich. It was quite good and bit more than you might pay at another chain sandwich shop. I also ordered the potato salad which really hit the spot. As others have commented, the staff were friendly and patient. Give it a try if you want a different tasting sandwich.

All the reviews really pumped up this place, but when we walked in, we were the only ones there, and when I ordered a sandwich, the woman pointed to the pre-made, wrapped up sandwiches in the cooler. I was disappointed that they weren't fresh made. The consistency was like they sandwich was a day old, not great. But the chips we're good?

I specifically asked for no pickles on my sandwich due to an allergy. I ordered a regular and was asked if I wanted to grab one that was already pre made. I said no asked them to make it freshly for me. They said they did. I get home and the sandwich was ice cold, the bread was hard and there were pickles on it. They didn’t make it fresh they just handed me one of the pre made ones and lied about it. I suggest checking your order before you leave, especially if you have an allergy because they can’t be trusted.
