We reserved the private dining area at Chama Gaúcha and had a great experience. The staff was very attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The food was excellent. The meats were cooked perfectly, kept coming consistently, and the sides and salad bar were fresh and well done. Overall, it was a great spot for a group event with solid service and high-quality food. Would definitely come back.

This was my first visit which my son picked out for his birthday since Taste If Texas was already booked. I must say excellent food & service. We made reservations which are highly recommended because this place gets busy really quick. They also have complimentary valet parking. For a party of 6 , we spent around $530- 550 . Would have been less but we had adult beverages

We went for lunch and made the right choice. Restaurant is very spacious and I found it nicely decorated. The service was really great and although you have a server, everyone is there to assist. We were sitting close to the salad bar and they had really good options, including lobster bisque. We ordered drinks, which were very good. I believe they were Caipirinhas. The meet was excellent. I enjoyed the lamb, steak, chicken, shrimp! It was all Delicious. I definitely recommend. We had zero complaints about our experience. They have a really nice atrium as well, it’s next to the bar and we got some good pictures there.

As always on every special occasion I come to this place service always outstanding. Yesterday I came in for my 41st birthday and the staff was awesome. Didn’t get a chance to get a picture of my food. But me and my family always enjoy ourselves 😃

The ambience is family-oriented with friendly staff to make your dining experience succulent. Just be cautious in over-hydrating yourself even before you start the salad and the main course, 'coz you would be served with water and juice every now and then. Overall, the dining experience is satisfactory, as we as the food servers' hospitality.

I liked it. It was completely different from what I am use to. The meat was so good! Lamb chops were tender and so was the steak. The salad bar was different. You have to go to see what I mean.

This place is simply amazing! The best fine cut Brazilian steakhouse around... Cut choices are prime for sure. The pincanha and ribeye are excellent choices. The service is also top rated, our waitress was very aware of what we needed and she sent us some cheese bread and fried bananas. A recommended spot if you are in Houston.

Chama Gaucha is a beautiful restaurant in Houston and known for its legacy from Many years. This place never forget to make your time into memories. I have been there many times, they amazed you in every way possible. I have visited with my office colleagues and we enjoyed time more than anything. AMBIENCE - They have perfect ambience for your get together and date night also for your family dinner. FOOD - food is delicious and the way they serve is so courteous. All meats served on tables. BUFFET - their buffet salad is so great and fresh and have great options of food, salad, cold cuts, fruits, cheese and what not. COCKTAILS - I tried OLD FASHIONED, LIVE signature CARAJILLO and it was great. Loved it 😍 WINE - WINE MENU IS PERFECT COMPARED with food and have really great option. We had one bottle. HUKKA - we tried hukka at patio and it was so great. They have good options of hukka. BAR - bar service is so good, quick drink with smiley bartenders. Service - quick and great.

I loved it! The meat is tender, service is excellent; meat was a tad bit better the first time I visited, but still it's a great choice! Yes, great meat comes at a price.

First time. Came for a birthday. The waiters were amazing. Probably some of the most attentive servers I have ever had. Probably top 3. We have many food requests in the family and they handled them all no issues. I got a sunset tequila. Decided to share with my older sister because she didn't want a full one. Manager sees me trying to pour some for her, comes over and says "let me handle that for you" and comes back in a flash with a second topped off glass for her. And my glass slightly empty. The glass for my drink was deceivingly large. Even got her a second orange slice, a fancy piece of ice, and was super fast. Tried every single cut on the menu, as well as everything at the salad bar, and every single slide including the amazing bread and fried banana. The bottom sirloin, picania, and the ribeye were all exceptionally tasty. However, the filet minon was honestly quite bad. It was overcooked, and a bit rubbery while being underseasoned. It was very disappointing. However, with the other cuts being as good as they were i can't complain much. The wings, new York strip and shrimp were either okay or a little too seasoned. The creme brule was phenomenal. The figs were surprisingly good. Ended up eating a plate of them. They had a cheesy fruit salad that was also quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a good experience. Probably will go back in a year or so because it's a little too heavy for consistent dining.

Reservations are a must. It was quite crowded and noisy. We started off with a salad which is self served. It was yummy. Then the meats started. Oh my, it was my first time here and couldn't believe the process. Waiters kept walking by offering all types of meat. The filet mignon was on the spot! Tender and flavorful. The grilled shrimp was perfection. 👌 My favorite was the house special sirloin, my goodness! Too many choices to list. This place is a must try! By the way, I was too busy eating that I forgot to take more pics.🤭

We love coming here. This food and service on this visit was as good as always. Only disappointment is the parking situation. We’ve always parked ourselves in the complex but now the only option for every single parking spot is valet. It’s a strip mall. No reason to hold all the parking spaces hostage. The different valet stands just take the cars and park them at the strip mall across the street so then you have to wait for them to go get them. Easier to just park there yourself and walk. We will probably start eating at different places instead of here to avoid the parking frustration.

I tried this place two weeks ago on a recommendation. We were seated at our table without much waiting. Inside, it was crowded, dimly lit, and very pleasant. It was just a little noisy. The salad bar was so varied and delicious, there was truly something for every taste. After getting our salads, we went to our table, turned the red card on the table to green, and our meats started arriving. They were all delicious. I especially wanted to try the ribs and lamb chops because I like them. Despite asking several times, the ribs didn't arrive, and the lamb chops were never brought to our table. That's why I deducted two stars. Because I had come all the way from Turkey specifically to try this place, I was very disappointed. Please remember to bring more variety of meat products to the tables.

I’ve been coming here regularly for YEARS and haven’t had a negative experience until the day that really mattered - Valentine’s Day. The service was so terrible I nearly walked out. No one checked on me for 20+ minutes even who my card was flipped on green. When they started coming around with the meat. It was the same cuts over and over. Bottom sirloin, picanha, Ny strip ON REPEAT. The manager finally comes around and was kind. I’m really disappointed in my experience here this time. I’ve came here on almost every occasion. On new years it was immaculate but this time I’m not so sure I wanna come back.

I’ve been dying to try this place and finally got to. Let me tell you it’s definitely not worth it. We got no service for 20 minutes. I watched the waitresses continue to talk to other guests instead of coming over to take our drink orders all night. We had to ask the manager for everything unfortunately. We only got 3 selections of meat. When I thought that it would be a variety. Then they tried to charge us for 4 dinners instead of 2 and there was no apology just a snatch of the receipt and a new one. Will not be coming back. The only thing making the place good was the lovely waitress from Senegal & the nice Asian manager (we did not get their names unfortunately).

The worst experience of my life. I have visited this restaurant for years on many occasions. I considered it one of the best steakhouses in Houston. However, everything changed this Christmas Eve 2025 — the service was terrible. The lobster bisque had no flavor (it is no longer worth ordering). They did not have fish ceviche at the salad bar buffet. I ordered the meats well done, and they consistently brought them medium, leaving blood on my plate. The picanha had no flavor and felt like chewing on a piece of rubber. The waitress brought me the check before I had finished dinner and without asking if I wanted it, which is a lack of respect and professionalism. I have a reservation for the 31st and I am seriously considering canceling it. Last night I complained at the restaurant, and the only solution offered was a discount on the price, without being able to fix the quality of the meat. I am not looking for a discount — I expect quality. My Christmas Eve was ruined because of this restaurant. I truly hope they improve. If I do return on the 31st, I expect to receive the level of service and quality this restaurant used to provide.
