Cute and clean little seafood shop. I was able to get lobster claws and knuckles meat for my lobster rolls. Nice and helpful staff.
Glad I finally walked in after years of meaning to go! It does say they sell to the public but who wants to walk into a small house, knowing nothing about fish, and risk feeling like a moron. They were super kind and totally helpful (sorry I didn’t get names). I honestly walked in - “salmon for 6” And the girl who grabbed it, got the amount was perfect. We even chatted about how you’re supposed to cook salmon and I confessed that I was going to cook it all the way through, no raw middle for me. The guy was totally cool and said you have to cook it like you like it. No snobbery here! You could tasted and see the quality. In the photo the left is Blue Horizon and the right is Kroger. Happy to pay a bit more for that. Look it! Thanks Blue Horizon. See you next time
Want to make poke? Sushi? Or anything needing high quality fish? Well then this place should be on your horizon. High quality and more importantly fresh fish and seafood can be found here. The selection is fantastic (usually more options than are found in the case). Friendly staff who prep the fish and pack it generous amounts of ice. Parking can be tight on the weekends.
Very friendly staff, waited outside for a while but it was worth it. Bought a sack of oysters didn't disappoint.
This fish was delicious, the price absolutely the best. Fresh. The even better part was their customer service, I will be back

Excellent selection! I have gone there on numerous occasions and they never disappoint. Make it a point to ask them for suggestions, and let them know how you're planning on cooking your fish! They will not hesitate to let you know what the best option is for you. Yes, yes, it can be expensive, but its worth it. You don't go to the Apple Store and complain about the price of a cell phone, do you? These guys are the best, and provide top notch service with a smile.
I bought a sack of oysters for chargrilling after Christmas & for New Years. They lasted 2 weeks properly refrigerated & they where some of the freshest / sweetest oysters I have ever had!!!!
The service was extremely fast and worth the drive. I drove almost 1 hr to get fresh fish and for the best price within Houston and soundings areas. Ask me how I know? Ha-ha! My neighbors and loved ones tasted my cooking and asked where I got the "catch," now, I'm taking orders. :) Also, they're military friendly and took the time to pay respect to the troops. Support this local business! :) I can only say great things about them. You will not be disappointed.
Freshest Seafood in Town!! Great price! And great service! Ask for Dan! He’s the Man!
This place is absolutely amazing! As soon as you walk in, you can smell the Ocean! All the seafood is as fresh as can be, like it was literally just caught. They have a wide range of seafood to choose from and even will tell you how to best prepare it and what goes well with it. They had fresh whole sardines, which most people think is nasty, but only because you can only get them in a can. Not here. All fresh, all clean and all great prices! The owners and people running this Seafood Market are extremely professional and friendly! They are true experts and know what they are doing. They even take recommendations for seafood they don’t currently have in stock. I highly recommend going here to get all your seafood. It beats Whole Foods Market and any other commercial grocery store. You won’t be disappointed!
First time ordering and visiting. Freshly shucked gallon of gulf oysters. Great price great quality and service. Glad friend recommended this shop to me. When I walked in, smelled like fresh seafood, a good sign for sure. Picked up shrimp as well. Making gumbo tonight.
The place sells the best sea food anywhere around West-U / Medical Center / Stadium District areas. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't know what you want / need, feel free to talk to one of the guys/girls at the counter and they have excellent advice for your taste bud preference! The fishes are frozen only (not live fish). I was told that if we needed live fish, we could get them if we pre-order a day or two in advance. They also have a small collection of unique seasoning items. Great place.
I have been purchasing fish for the past 3 years from Blue Horizon. If you want EXCELLENT customer service and amazing products come to Blue Horizon. I would not go any where else. The employees are amazing. They know their regular customers by first name basis and recommend great selections when you want to try something new. The best Seafood Market in the city of Houston.
Great customer service with a friendly and beautiful lady who works the counter
I love this place. Wait. I want to say that again. I just love this place. First of all, it's clean, clean, clean! No rancid fishy smells. Why? Because this market values fresh fish and a clean environment. Sounds simple, but it's so rare. The staff at Blue Horizon couldn't be nicer. They are well informed on the products they offer, and they are personable, likable people. It's a little pricey here, yes, but it's worth it to me knowing that my shopping experience will be so positive and the product will be high quality and fresh. The one thing that would make shopping there a little better for me is an upgrade to their website. The fish they sell changes depending on the season and what's available. I would like to be able to go to the website and see what is available without having to call them or drive over in person. That would be more convenient for me and it would be easy for them to do. But this market is outstanding, and my small complaint about the website doesn't change that. I'm going there today when I get off work to find something to grill tonight.
Dusty and her team were A+ She accommodated me with redfish/ half she'll. Ou dinner guests were Impressed.
Never heard of them until I found out that Airline Seafood is temporarily closed. I'm glad I found them as they are closer to me than driving to Kemah. The store is very clean and neat. Besides fresh seafood, they sell a variety of canned sardines, frozen homemade pasta, and other items. What they sell is leftover from wholesale orders. They don't sell much wild salmon but if they do, it is either from Norway or New Zealand. Best to call in advance to check if they have any.
The best seafood in town, hands down. Smaller selection but cannot beat the quality and freshness. Love the staff, miss seeing the owner around as much!! Great place. Highly recommend.

Called ahead looking for stillhead trout, they answer in a friendly manner and were very helpful. only had rainbow trout that's okay am cooking for my grandma's 71st birthday and wanted 180.00 dollars worth they informed me itd be about 22-23 pounds. When i arrived they brought the fish out in a tied up bag so I could inspect it. Looked beautiful so we paid got it on ice and headed home. Upon getting home as customary anytime I buy fish, poultry and various meats I wash with cold water, vinegar and lemons to remove any small particles or bones that could have gotten on the food from cutting. After washing and letting sit in solution. I drained the liquid and patted all the fish dry with paper towels. I closely inspected fish and while most of the pieces had no odor whatsoever some had a very odd and unpleasant smell. Not fishy like bad fish or fishy like fish at all it just had a odor and I noticed it was more prominent on the lighter flesh pieces of fish. Also after washingand drying the fish was still slimy on some pieces where others were dry. This of course is concerning as it makes me question the freshness of the fish and the last thing I want to do is feed anyone of my grandmother's 100 guest bad fish. Additionally there is no indication or label on any of the bags as you might usually receive at a butcher or or market that shows important information relating to sale like weight, price per lb, etc. Nothing even on the receipt. Overall I would not return, there are a few other fish markets and this experience was enough to make me not want to go back. But thank you for serving us.

Cleanish and service-oriented (I was greeted and acknowledged upon entry). I went in for wild-caught salmon and just couldn't get over the fact that most of the fish available was farm-raised so, I ordered nothing and left. Also, the prices were absurd (I know, inflation but still); $30+lb for farm-raised Atlantic salmon - I think not. I probably won't be back to try again.
